The Via Feratta Challenge

Meet Hollie Costigan and Carena Duffy who both work for Everton Football Club. Now Carena and Hollie are great mates, and as well as working for the Blues are also ardent fans who follow the lads home and away.

Now they have given up their spare time to do the craziest thing which is train and then climb Via Feratta, or the Iron Road in the Italian Dolomites this Summer. For the lay person out there, its big and hard, and I mean the Mountain, dirty ticket. It does not stop there though, as these two hardy souls will also be bag packing in Tesco, and collecting coins on match days with the good old bucket to raise funds and awareness for Everton In The Community (EITC), the charity that will benefit from their hard graft.

Joining them will be Ron Hutchinson whose is the EITC Fund Raising Manager, and as well as supplying morale support he is carrying the oxygen tanks and the vino de callopso to boot.

Now all the girls ask is can spare a few quid, (to donate click here) as their hard work will go to helping diverse issues such as disabled football teams, sports qualifications for kids, Ladies football, social issues such as stamping out racism, tackling anti social behavior, and pensioners activity programmes. Well played girls and good luck !!
