We had a great day on Sunday 25th June 2006 when we gathered at the MANWEB sports ground on Thingwall Avenue, Wavertree to pay tribute to Elaine O'Hare who recently died and to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.


The Winning Legends Team

The stars of the past that made up the Legends team including Everton's John Bailey, Mick Buckley, Billy Ashcroft (Wrexham), Sean Reid (Rochdale), John Durnin, Howard Gayle, and Bobby Savage. Other Toffeemen completed the Legends team including Steve Battle, Roy Caine, Pete Currie, Andy Currie, Lard and Kipper. Former Everton Legend, Gary Jones was manager. Brian Labone's daughter, Rochele was also there to give the event her support.


A crowd of about 300 watched the game

Lard presents a cheque for £500 to Peter O'Hare

Blue Kipper presented a cheque for £500 to Marie Currie Cancer Care from a recent online auction. After a buffet the crowd were entertained by local band called "The Circle". A grand raffle with signed memorabilia helped to put more money into the Marie Curie Cancer Care fund. Peter O'Hare thanked everyone for their help. (26/06/06)
