Everton and Falkirk played for The Alex Scott Memorial Trophy at Broockville last night in front of over two thousand people. The players were introduced to members of Alex Scotts family and ex-Falkirk and Everton legends Alex Parker and John McLaughlin.

Everton gave us a surprise when we had Russell Howarth in goal, who had permission by York City to play. This lad has certainly got what it takes to become a star of the future. He has been capped at England Under-16, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 levels. Is he our 1st signing?

Everton went ahead in the 18th minute when Super headed home from an Idan Tal cross.

Rhino put a great ball through for Jesper to round the goalie for the second.

And just before the half, Pembo made it three after good work from the Rad.

Half Time Falkirk 0 Everton 3

David Moyes throughout the 2nd half used all the subs except Gezza. I wonder if he is trying to tell our goalies they may not be required next season.

Everton created a few more chance in the second half with Kevin Mcleod coming the closest.

With 15 minutes later Rhino got "sent off " when the ref asked Everton to sub him when he had a run in with Andy Rodgers. Does Rhino not understand the word friendly

Blue Kippers Star Man because was Pembo because John McLaughlin said so.

Team News

Saturday's Goalscorer Nick Chadwick joins Steve Simonsen, Gary Naysmith and Tony Hibbert on the sidelines with a groin strain. He should be back for the Arsenal game. Duncan Ferguson is not travelling, officially he has a slight strain.

Sandro Pisto has gone to Colorado to have a checkup with the specialist over the knee injury he sustained in his first season at Goodison. Again he will be ready for the Arse.

Joe - Max, Nic Alex, Jesper, Toby, & Tommy Grav are all rested due to the World Cup. Chance then for the young lads to shine.

Moysey says: "We will be taking most of the players up there and will play most of them at some point in the game. It will give us a chance to look at one or two other players as well. The main point of the exercise though is to help Falkirk celebrate their anniversary."
