Kipper on Mateo Ferrari

Mat had a good game. He was fast, strong in the tackle and played with confidence. Something Davie Weir has been lacking this season. He also seemed to take charge of the back line. He was very animated and vocal. Always shouting and talking to his fellow team mates. He reads the game well and likes to pass the ball out of defence, but there were a few times when he didn't take a chance and cleared the ball with the old fashioned boot. He made one tackle in the second half as if the player ( I can't recall who) had just raped his bird. He thundered in got the ball and went right through. He'll do for me.

Quotes After The Game

Moyesy says: "I thought we played well and it was a bit more like us and we scored a few goals too. It was a great win for us. I felt we had a more balanced look to us, and for some reason the team looked a bit more settled. I take a lot of satisfaction from that performance. Credit goes to the players, they have done very well getting the goal late against Sunderland and today getting the goals and playing much better. We got the goal early today, and we did make a good start. We played well and were controlling the majority of the play at that time. I was pleased with the start we made. I do feel that we could have had more goals, I nearly did a Mexican wave when the third went in, but the fact is that we should have had more.

Off The Ball

* The face on Duncan when he shoved Danny Murphy on his arse to win a corner. Priceless.

Everton Team News

There will be late fitness test for Simon Davies. Per Kroldrup will miss out again because of injury while Phil Neville is still suspended.

I'm hoping that Moyesy will put Duncan on from the start. He is are only inspiration for us at the moment. Anyone who went to see us at Sunderland will tell you when he came on he changed things for us. Let the big man play. Please.

Alan Irvine says:"Charlton are a good team and they have always done well when they've come to Goodison Park. Our games against them are always difficult and I don't expect this one to be any different.

It will be interesting to see how the game goes. It's a huge game for the both of us but even more for us with it being a home game and we need to get ourselves into a position where we are winning more home games."

About The Opposition

Charlton are there for the taking. They are shite.

Charlton manager Alan Curbishley says he knows how David Moyes is feeling.

He says:"David, myself and Steve Bruce, Mick McCarthy as well, we are all going through similar things, but we all understand it and there is a bit of sympathy going around."

What surprises me about Everton is that they have been do up and down."
