The Toffeemen were one up after only five minutes thanks to a brilliant free kick from Mikey Arteta. The free kick given after Faddy was fouled after one his his jinking runs. Everton should had the game won by the half. Faddy, Cars and Andy all having decent chances. The game also had a competitive with Joey Tim and Mikey all finding themselves in the ref's notebook. Changes aplenty after the break. A total of seven subs used trying to give everyone a game so they can tell their kids that they have played at The Pizza Hut Stadium. Club America leveled on the 90 after Killa had been hacked down at the other end. So a draw it was. Or was it. We had a penno shoot out. We lost 5-4. Pisto, Mikey, Killa, Biffa scoring and Stubbsey hitting the bar with his spot kick. Oh well never mind. |

Moyeys says: “I thought we played really, really well. I wanted us to keep possession of the ball in the warm conditions and we did that, especially in the first half. “There were a host of good individual performances and it would be wrong to single anyone out. We had three players booked, which was disappointing. But I am not downbeat because it was only a friendly and although we could have won it I am happy with the way we played

Everton take on Team America in the bizzarely named Pizza Hut Stadium. It is down the road from Burger King Boulevard, it could only happen in the States, Jesus. Anyhow AJ will be making an appearance, and Harry Hill who has flown out for the match has been in training and is sure to get a go at some point, just for the effort he put in getting there. There are only mionor injuries to report, two of which to the junior, but still vital members of the squad in Victor Anichebe (back strain), and Paddy Boyle (groin). Tony Hibbert has blistered feet and looks set to sit this one out with the season only three weeks away. The
match kicks off on Saturday evening State side (thats how the Yankee's
say it), but we will have to sit up till 2:30am Sunday morning and catch
it on Evertontv, and
it is well worth the subscription fee. Moyesy says: We played Club America a couple of years ago and their play was sharp and quick and they will have some neat and tidy players. It will be a test for us but they will find our style a bit different too. The pitch isn't going to be great but it's all part of our pre-season preparations. But at the end of the day we've come over here to train and in the main the facilities have been very good. I think the problem is that FC Dallas have staged a couple of pop concerts on the pitch recently."
