AJ out, Tiny out, the two players who have given us 90% of our goals this season, not the best bit of news we had heard as we arrived in London this morning. Jimmy started with Biffa, he owed us after ruining our Cardiff trip with his petulant act against Arsenal the other week. In fairness to the Scot he did not disappoint as he ran the Charlton back four ragged in the opening half an hour. Biffa does what Biffa does best, he ran and ran, and ran, and ran, you get the picture, though he did win the odd header to boot. Everton looked dangerous, but I could sense another Fulham match here if we did not get an early goal. The Blues were right into bottom of the League Charlton, but Carson in the home side nets really did not have a lot to do which is surprising considering Everton's dominance. Nuno was the attacking full back Moyesy was building up pre match, and his touch (first half) was exceptional. Mikky as ever ran the show, and Ossie had one of his better performances of late. Man of the moment Tim Howard once again did not put a foot wrong, his handling this seasoncv is superb to say the least. A one handed catch in the first period was testament to that. The half ended goal less, but entertaining none the less. H-T 0-0 It took only six minutes of the second period for the Blues to take the lead. A poor free kick by Mikky was turned into his own net by Herman Hreidarsson, it was only what the Blues deserved for their first half dominance. Charlton to this point had played like a team rooted firmly to the foot of the table. The goal however shook them into life, and for the first time in the match Everton found themselves on the back foot. Nuno's concentration started failing, and unfortunately so did Joey's, in what was a mad few minutes for us. Nuno gave possession away on the edge of his box, that was bad, but worse was Joey trying to fit his boot back on as Andy Reid struck the equaliser some fifteen minutes after Everton had took the lead. What was Joey doing, the shot which was tame to say the least could easily had been blocked, Tim was unsighted behind Joey and his struggle to put his boot back on, so could not be faulted. In a season we have these Joey moments, lets hope that's this years out of the way. In the end Charlton put the Blues under the cosh, but Joleon Lescott stood firm. He would have got the nod for my man of the match, but Mikky just pips him with his first half display of trickery and magic. United Wednesday, no ticket yet, but I will get one, fingers crossed, I will take the same score line now. F-T 1-1

Moyesy says: "I'm disappointed to only get a point. The goal we lost was shambolic. We gave Charlton an easy goal. We had to work hard for our goal. I was pleased for 80 minutes. The last 10 minutes we were put under a wee bit of pressure. It was a poor mistake by Nuno that led to the goal and it shouldn't have happened. We seem to making one little mistake in every game away from home and that is costing us."

What did you think of the match? Did Moyesy get his team selection and tactics right? e-mail info@bluekipper.com after the game. * Just like Fulham, controlled the first half, gave them the second, well pissed off, bottom of the League, they were shite. (Ray) * Mikky and Jimmy Mac were superb, pity Joet forgot to tie his boots up properly, when will he ever learn (Mark S) * Everton were great in the first period again, but we need to convert our chances to take the heat of the defence, Although Arteta played well only in spasms for me, Joleon Lescott was head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch. Thank Christ we had one centre half awake, what the fuck was Joey up to. Moyesy fine him for that (Iain K) * Humbled by bottom of the league, another weekend ruined, with what might have beens (Simon) * How many times this season, thats four draws we should have won. Wigan, City, Newcastle and today. We need to kill teams off, not let them back into it. Just one of those draws were a win, we would be in a Champions League spot. Moyesy make them harder, were is that steel of a few seasons agao. At this rate we will end up mid table again, and all looking forward to next season. Make it happen this season. score, score early and don't let the opposition back in. (Mike) |

* Moyesy had a suit and tie on, as opposed to his usual tracksuit. Well he is in the smoke. He must be going to see a West End Show. |

What Do you think The Score Will be? How Will the game pan out? Who Will Score the goals? e-mail info@bluekipper.com before the match. Keep it short and to the point. * 3-1 to the blues Osman, Beattie and Anichebe with Bent (the good 1) to get the consolation COME ON EVERTON!! (Dan Ferrie) * We have to win this one and we will. Micky, Beats and Jimmy Mac fromthe bench to get the goals before we go to sleep at 3-0 and some Scandahooligan scores for them from a corner. COYB! (G.R Johnston) * For a change I feel confident about tomorrow. 2-0 to the blues, who cares who scores. (Ian Holt) * I have a strong feeling, that AJ will do the damage today, not only to help the blues to three points, but to shut up the moan and groan brigade, that have recently been questioning his ability, it's time we had another(SPURS) good away performance, so come on boys make us proud. (Norman Merrill) * Score draw for the Blues, new manager and all that, always our luck. (Moff) * AJ to come good at last. 1-0 to Everton, lets make up for our last dinner kick off in the smoke (Gary, Aughton) * 2-0 Everton, and its Leon's turn to score, come back Tim (Ray Peters) * 1-1, Marcus Bent to have a nightmare (nothing changes), and AJ back to scoring ways, come on you blue boys (Paul H) * three points to everton, don't care who scores, just want the points, old trafford on wednesday, do them aswell, rooney shit (Carl) |

Jimmy Mac returns to the Everton squad after his sending off in the Carling Cup. Long term absentees, Tiny, Nace, Sandro and Hibbo are all still weeks away from any competitive action, so Moyesy's starting eleven is a straight 4-5-1, without Biffa, or 4-4-2 with Biffa. With Charlton propping the table up, Moyesy may throw caution to the wind, and go with Biffa, now that he has the support of Harry Hill and Phil Neville holding the midfield together. Nuno will carry on at left back, after last weeks impressive return, and Joey should slot into the right back position, leaving Roger and Stubbsey in the middle. Mikky and Leon will make up the numbers as Everton go for their second away win in London this season. If the Blues are lucky enough to come away with all three points tomorrow it will be the first time since we beat Spurs and the shite earlier in the season that we have had back to back wins in the Prem. 2001 was our last win at the Valley when Big Dunc and Davey Weir both netted in a 2-1 win for the Blues. Moyesy says: "We know that going to Charlton will be tough, with a new manager there. It's his first home game and his players will want to perform in front of their own crowd. We certainly need to be aware of that because you see it so often. A new manager can come in and make an immediate impact and we need to be ready for that at Charlton. They are a very capable side and with the likes of Andy Reid, Darren Bent and Marcus, who we had here of course, they have creativity. They have some good players but unfortunately for them the season hasn't started as well as they would have liked. It's certainly the sort of game we need to win if we want to move up the table. There'll be no pressure put on the players with regards to European placing's, we just want to do well." (24/11/06) Biffa says: "Obviously we would like Tim to be fit and scoring goals like he has been doing. But when one door closes another one opens, and it is my chance to get a run in the side. It is difficult to come on and play 20 minutes here and 20 minutes there and perform at the level you can if you are playing every week and if you have games under your belt. If you have had a run of games and you aren't producing, then you can say it is right to criticise. I consider myself a tremendously fit person and whether I am starting or playing five or ten minutes, I will give 100% when I go on the pitch. But sometimes you are not as well prepared as you could be so hopefully I will get that run of games now and start notching a few goals. Our friendship ( With AJ) has blossomed and even though our partnership hasn't blossomed I don't think really that it has been given the chance to because he has been on such tremendous form and the gaffer has preferred to play one up front. Hopefully we can get a run of games together and show what we are really about." | Lavo's Bet: Stick your tenner on Biffa to score at some point in the game. Most bookies will offer you 3/1, as the striker should get a shout at some point, and he is our penalty taker. You never know. Also England to win the First Ashes test in Brisbane, I will personally give you 3 billion to one. Jesus and I looked forward to it for so long, never mind eh !! |

Jimmy Floyd may miss out with a thigh problem, and dancing Jimmy Traore (I can't control my feet) will be back for Charlton. Ex Blue Marcus Bent will be in the squad, and should receive a good welcome from the traveling Blues fans. Another kopite is Scott Carson who is on a loan deal there, so lets hope he is as effective as Pepe the Clown in the sticks for the Londoners. Souleymane Diawara (that's easy for you to say) is a doubt but Amdy Faye returns from a ban. Charlton Boss Les Read says: "It is obvious for everyone to see - we are bottom of the table and have to get up. The only way to do that is to work hard on the training ground. The players know exactly where we are going. It is a big job and a big task - but we are all up for it and will give it our best shot. I am at a good club with lots of good support and know that all of the fans will get behind us against Everton. I really do believe we will get out of it." (24/11/06) Charlton from: Carson, Young, Traore, El Karkouri, Hreidarsson, Ambrose, Holland, Faye, Kishishev, Reid, Thomas, D Bent, Hasselbaink, M Bent, Andersen, Rommedahl, Fortune, Hughes.
