Moyesy
says:
"I thought it was two points dropped today. It was a poor first
half performance, I don't know if we deserved to be a goal down. We
gave away a shoddy goal. We just made a couple of wrong decisions prior
to the goal and we lost a terrible goal. Obviously the goals change
the game, and changed the way everybody sees the game, me included.
Because of the nature of the goal it made it even worse. But I don't
think Reading would have deserved to beat us today. For grit and determination
I have a great group, and certainly we got what was due by getting one
goal, but I felt we were due another goal," |

What Do you think The Score Will be? How Will the game pan out? Who Will Score the goals? e-mail info@bluekipper.com before the match. Keep it short and to the point. * Everton 2-0 Reading AJ and Andy Van Der Meyde to score. Beattie to come off the bench and stroll around (again) piss the fans off! Come on newcastle make a bid!! Dan Ferrie * 5 - 1 to the Blues, putting on a show for Rocky! Johnson to bag a few and Cahill to shine in his comeback game. Mikel * Sly Stallone in Goal, team will try and escape at half time, Sly will rally them to come back out and draw 4-4. Crowd will run onto the pitch and take the team down the Winslow. Peter Aston * 3-1 win Cahill(2), AJ (1). Happy Days. Keith * I think we'll struggle to win. Biffa to the rescue from the bench. 1-0. Chris |

I wonder if Rocky will be allowed in the home dressing room to give a morale boosting team talk. I have been running around Aintree all week with my old baggy gray trackie bottoms waving to anyone who looked at me. I feel so much better for it. Come on Everton reach for the stars. Anyway we should have our own Rocky returning from injury. Tim should come in for the suspended Mikky Arteta. The tramp Nace comes in for Nuno, I expect Tim will play upfront with AJ. There has been plenty of talk from inside the club on how we've got to get a result against Reading after the dismal FA Cup performance. Here is what people have had to say David Moyes says: "We have 16 matches left and we have got to be totally focused on each of them now. We really need to drive on. We owe people after Sunday. Not perhaps in terms of our performance, because it was such a strange game. But the result on Sunday means we owe people. We have to stand up and be a bit bigger and tougher than we have been. Quite simply we have to get some results." Captain Neville says: "If you are not playing well, then you don't deserve to be in the team. It's up to us to show our mettle. We are disappointed last week as we really wanted a Cup run. We need to go out there and prove that we deserve to be where we are in the table. We need to prove to be the team that we believe we are. The league campaign is absolutely massive for us. It's the only thing we've got left to play for. If we beat Reading, people will forget about the Cup. "We need to go on a run now. We had settled into the pack a bit but if we can get maximum points from our home games, and mirror the form we showed at this time last year, then we will be right up there in the European places." Tim
Howard says: "You know if you are not doing your
job, you will get replaced. We have just got to keep our heads above
water. Now we have got to make sure we stay in a position so that when
Tim, Hibbo and Sandro are back, we can really push on. This squad is
good enough to be up there challenging for Europe. Everton from: Howard, Wright, Neville, Stubbs, Lescott, Yobo, Weir, Osman, Cahill, Carsley, Davies, Van De Meyde, McFadden, Beattie, Johnson, Anichebe, Hughes, Vaughan, Naysmith. After giving Reading a lesson at their gaff, they will be up for this game. This is Reading's first season in the top flight playing Everton, the club with most top flight seasons behind them - this is our 104th. Out are Brynjar Gunnarsson and Dave Kitson. Bobby Convey is in the squad, but may not make it. Skipper Graeme Murty will have a late fitness test, with Ulises de la Cruz or Andre Bikey standing by to replace him. Some cracker names! Reading From: Hahnemann, Murty, Bikey, De la Cruz, Sonko, Ingimarsson, Shorey, Little, Harper, Sidwell, Hunt, Doyle, Lita, Long, Seol, Federici, Oster, Convey. |
