Quotes After The Game

Moyesy says: "The players have done fine. I was probably more pleased than I was after the Preston game. We probably played better tonight. The players went about it well and the senior ones put in a really good shift. Also, we know we need to get one or two more players back in the side. And we got the Yak and Stephen Pienaar back tonight.

Jose's done well. He took his goal really well and it was a great finish. We had a few chances in the game and defensively we were sound. Mikel's injury doesn't seem too bad - he got a kick in the shin - but he feels he'll be ok. Andy's got a hamstering injury so that will rule him out for quite a while." (25/07/08)

Best moment was Jose Baxter stunning strike.

Second was Young tom from independant Blues coach, kicking his little ball onto the pitch on the final whistle, avoiding three challenges from the stewards. Getting to the players asking for shirts, The Yak pointed to the tunnel, off Tom went with the Yak down the tunnel. two minutes passed and Tom emerged with the Yaks shirt tucked up his coat. Got a great round of applause and a bollicking of Plod. Back amongst the fans the shirt went on. Brilliant for tom, thanks to the Yak and the stewards for giving up on him. Well Done. J Hughes.
