The annual Everton in the Community zip slide challenge is back for a third consecutive year and Blues' defender Phil Jagielka would like to see even more supporters getting in the harness!
Everton in the Community's player ambassador for health, sport and physical activity is encouraging daredevils on Merseyside to take the plunge at Goodison Park on Monday 7 May in aid of the Blues' official charity after revealing his own passion for thrill seeking stunts.
The England International announced that in his younger years he was partial to adrenalin fuelled activity, including completing two bungee jumps into the sea!
"When I was a younger lad I was a bit of a thrill seeker," said Phil. "I think the most daring thing I have ever done was a bunge jump into the sea when I was on holiday. The adrenalin was amazing. I am a lot more safety conscious these days with having a family, but I would still like to jump out to a plane one day!
"I would definitely like to zip slide across Goodison too, I think it would be brilliant. I would like to encourage fans to get involved and I am sure when you get to the Top Balcony and you're waiting to jump off, the butterflies will be going and it would be such a great thrill."
On Monday 7 May, fundraisers will 'zip' from the top balcony in the Main Stand at Goodison Park across the pitch to the Paddock in the Bullens Road stand. There are 180 places available and there is a registration fee of £15. Fundraisers are kindly asked to pledge to raise a minimum of £85 (£100 in total inc. registration fee) for Everton in the Community.
