EVERTON FC - Football in the Community

Everton's Football in the Community programme is regarded as the best in the country.
We think this needs shouting from the roof tops. So lets shout.

Everton Football Club has won a prestigious award for their work against racism. The club was presented with the Hall of Fame awards in the club category at The ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ campaign ceremony in London.

Everton’s Race and Diversity Promotions Manager Alan Johnson (pictured above) received the award on behalf of the club, says: “It was a great honour to receive the award which I feel reflects the great efforts we have made over the years. “It is important that we maintain the standards we have set and that the work carried out continues. We are deeply committed to challenging racism in all its forms and strongly support the Show Racism the Red Card campaign.”

Well done Everton. The club needs to continue their efforts together with the fans to stamp out racism at Goodison Park. (14/07/04)
