Champions League… We’re Havin’ A Laugh!

In a season widely predicted to be doomed in failure, David Moyes and his players have turned it into one of unbridled success. Success built on team spirit, true grit, tactical mastery and most importantly winning football matches. The team billed as relegation fodder have become European Champions League certainties. Evertonians worldwide are in dreamland with the prospect of finishing above the redshite and mixing with Europe’s elite next season. It is safe to say Everton are the pride of Merseyside once again.

In what is the clubs best season in the Premiership it is hard to single out individuals for special praise, but the emergence of Leon Osman and James Vaughan mixed with the evergreen performances of the likes of David Weir, Nigel Martyn and Duncan Ferguson have been further cause for blue joy, as has the contribution of new boys Marcus Bent and arguably the signing of the season Tim Cahill. All will be reflected in this season review as well as bonus material such as the manager’s view on the season as a whole and extended highlights of Everton’s victory over the shite which you will never tire of seeing!
