150% Effort

So it looks like Tim Cahill will be joined by Eddie Bosnar at Everton. They may not be "phenomenon" but one thing you can be sure of from these two is 150% effort. Aussies are a lot like Evertonians, they love to win and they like to be the best. Put a couple of them together and they get even more intense (anyone watched the cricket or the latest rugby union matches). Their attitude might rub off on a few more people at Goodison next season. Lets hope so and get behind them. Laurie / Oz (29/07/04)

No Favour Grav

How come Gravesen makes out that he's doing us a favour by staying for now. He said he will sign a new contract if he sees an improvement in the team. Well my message to you DICKHEAD is; you are part of that team and you are part of the problem, one week you play well the next you play shite some matches it's play good one half and diabolical in the second. So before you start shouting the odds sort your own game out. John Fitz (29/07/04)

Well Played Tim

Well done to Tim Cahill for agreeing to play for Australia in the Olympics, seeing as how he,s suspended for the first three games of the season over here at least he should come back match fit. On the subject of midfielders, now that Toby,s been sold for £1.5 million perhaps we may see another signing in the near future

Volunteer Wages

Don't know about fans putting money in. Lots of us struggle just to afford the season tickets and the shirts etc, even worse if you have kids.

There are tos***s within Everton earning in excess of £35,000 per week who should be volunteering 6 months or more wages after last seasons performances. If they put in so will I. JT (29/07/04)

Treat Us Like Mushrooms

Everton are at it again linked with all the top names to keep the fans quiet then go for the shit but they then knock us back, The communication of the board is non-existent between them and us treat us like mushrooms. All this nonsense of the finance is a smoke screen to sell Wayne We are just a joke even fu..ing Birmingham are taking the piss , Mr Gregg may be right but he may be another agent Johnson and want his money out ......... lets give him a chance and back him. I will put money up for shares as will the fans who can afford it. LETS GO FOR IT. B Hughes (29/07/04)

See you Tommy

So Tommy Radz has been spouting off, telling all and sundry how much the lads don't get on with Moyesy. Well get real Tommy, you little s**t. Not everybody likes their boss, but that doesn't mean you don't go out and do your job properly and for which you get paid weekly more than the average supporter earns in a year. If I pulled the same trick, I'd be up the road. Each and every one of us will be giving you the reception you deserve when you come back. That's if you can make it into the Fulham team. After all, you might not get as many chances to play for them, if your form is as good as it was for us. Some decent goals but far too many misses.

See you soon Tommy (or perhaps not). Eddie Park End. (28/07/04)

Kenwright and co

I just thought i'd write in with my views on the recent so called crisis that's sweeping through OUR famous club. Firstly I don't think this is a crisis this what we have been crying for, something to change. I feel sorry for Blue Bill because he loves Everton and is up there with the most loyal of fans. He remortaged his house for us for gods sake. However the poor fella hasn't got two pennies to give us because if he had it, then so would Everton.

I hear the latest statement that Bill has released saying if there is solid investment in place only if he steps down then he will. Which brings me to my next point, Gregg. Fair enough he is trying to get investment but why only if Kenwright steps down????? and why only after so many years????????. The tight get is worth an estimated £160 million for fucks sake and I know he wouldn't miss £30 million especially as there is a chance success would bring him a return on his investment...tight twat!!!!!!!!!

I feel sorry for Kenwright but he has no money and has to step down as long as HE remains there in some way I'll be happy AND as long as these so called investors aren't just another bunch twats trying to take over our club.

As for the new season and everyone one talking relegation....forget it cos it isn't gonna happen. We'll get a a couple more players with rooney, yobo, faddy, cahill gravesen, wright, hibbert and osman plus hopefully others ( van bommel) we have decent players add a few more until investment and we'll survive. O yeah gotta mention Rooney, I feel personally its a no lose situation if he stays, which I want him to, then we will have made and kept one of the best up an coming players in the world, but if he goes he saves our club from debt which will loosen the handcuffs in the transfer market. But fuck knows what's gonna happen with that one I just hope he has signed or gone before the end of the season cos the last thing we want is him goin on the cheap in January.......then we would be fucked.

Anyway I'll be there home and away win or lose cos I fucking love Everton. Great site...love it. Garry Dobbo. (28/07/04)

United Goalie says Wayne's on his Way

In the this wicked world of media saturation i find it unbelievable that nobody picked up on Tim Howard's interview on the Fox Sports World network in the States. In my home in Philadelphia, I watched and listened in amazement at his remarks regarding Young Wayne.

Howard on having competition for places in United's frontline.
He said : "Yes it will be great to have four top class strikers for the season, Saha, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Rooney and Smith." He then went on to talk about how great Wayne would be.

I couldn't believe he said the Duke's name. These were quotes from Fox Sports World, who have affiliation with Sky Sports. Does he know something we don't? R. G. McGlasson. (28/07/04)

Paul Gregg, new investment and Abercromby

I know this sounds all very simple, but if Paul Gregg is so sure that he knows of three new potential investors in the club, why doesn't one of them simply buy Abercromby's shares off him.
I assume these shares are shares in "true Blue holdings" and surely the new investor would then be in a position to take his or her position on the board, thus allowing the investor to have a say on how Everton is run.
Paul Gregg stated "I believe there are maybe two or three seriously wealthy people on Merseyside who want to invest in Everton but would only do that if they could present their own views on how the club should be run, which would mean places on the board. They would not have that opportunity now. Those people could invest collectively or individually to raise £15m."
This was before Abercromby resigned. So mystery investor/investors buy the shares, have your say and as Bob Geldof would say "Give us your f*c*in money now before its too late" Steve Gore. (28/07/04)

I Smell A Rat

Paul Gregg comes out of the woodwork with these proposals to save the club, getting a P.R. firm to send e-mails to Everton web sites, never off the telly, statements in the press. He has been on the board for 4 years. We haven't heard a dickie bird from him during that time. Apparently he hasn't seen a game at Goodison for over a year and has not been to a board meeting for about the same time. When and if Gregg and Kenwright leave the board, Bill will still go the game, Paul won't be seen for dust. Remember that! Sonny. (28//07/04)

Wot Abercromby "done" for 10 years.

this is taken from an article on AOL's everton page..

"Lifelong Evertonian Abercromby, elected to the board in 1994, was particularly responsible for overseeing the development of the stadium during his tenure"....

so there u have it... Jonny, Ireland. (28/07/04)

Forces Blues

Nice to see some of my old aircraft and ships on the site, just get the order of seniority right at the top of the page the Royal Navy is the senior service followed by The Army followed by The Royal Airforce. In fact the saying goes “The Royal Navy has traditions, The Army customs and the Royal Airforce habits (most of them disgusting). Regards, Charlie Bass ex RN HMS Hermes, Illustrious & 814 Sqdn. (28/07/04)

Alex Cole

I think a little memorial should be put up for Alex Cole, a goalkeeper for Everton's under 19's. Although he was released at the beginning of last season, I thought it would be a good idea to keep him known, and to show a little respect for his hard work and determination. Thanks for your time. Silver Dolphin. (28/07/04)

Wayne Rooney

If Wayne Rooney claims to be an Evertonian, then why doesn't he sign the longer contract offered (400% increase, no less). This would help us stave off oblivion (now fast approaching), and make himself a living legend in the process. He would either be the saviour of our financial plight, or the saviour of our woefully inadequate side. By keeping his trap firmly shut, he rips out the heart and soul of every Evertonian with this daily circus. Paul Schorah. (28/07/04)

Latest Rumblings

Seems to me that we have some people completely disinterested in EFC's future currently deciding EFC's future-ie Gregg, who never goes to the game, wants his money back & is clearly softening us up for WR to be sold-& WR's gobshite agent who wants the money from Wayne's sale.As soon as WR signed up with Stretford, the writing was on the wall, not a new extended EFC contract-obviously as his agent, Stretford wants to maximise Wayne's earnings, but only if it maximises his-ie not keeping him at his current
club.

It annoys me that Bill K has come in for so much stick, cos even if he is misled, naive or not operating in EFC's best interests-at least we know
he was/is TRYING to do the best for our club, & has put a shed load of his own money(& house)where his mouth+heart are. I very much hope Wayne stays, unlike Gregg's duplicitous statements today which would have you
believe that he'd like him to stay but his "Heh...don't blame me if we sell him, I'm as gutted as you" nonsense is irritating. There you have it:our club currently being run by people apart from BK, who are either incompetent or in it purely for their own ends or both & Wayne being advised by an agent whose best interests do not necessarily coincide with Wayne's, whether it be from a playing angle or career development or just his life.

Stretford+Gregg have no allegiance whatsoever to WR+EFC only in so much as they can make money out of them; Davey Moyes wants WR+EFC to do well both on+off the pitch as: a) it's his job, b) it may or may not be a rung on his career ladder, c) he appears to be a bloke who has pride/ambition/work ethic, d) (I think)he genuinely cares about the player & the club. We all know we have to have at least 2 or 3 new players before Aug 15th,the sooner the better,to replace & sideline the dross we had/still have & if no one will give us any money, I
guess we will have to sell Wayne to have any sort of side that can avoid relegation but I fear his agent is maneuvering him out of our door and some at EFC are assisting him-and even worse should he go, we won't get anywhere near full value.

Years ago when the Tories sold off nationalised industries, a former PM likened it to selling the family jewels; we have one jewel & without him or his value, we will have no future, no hope. Apart from his actual ability, Wayne gives old(47)gits like me a flavour of the days of Alex, Bally, mid-80s etc, but for my 3 kids it is the first time for 2 of 'em & for Liam since he was 7 & saw us beat Utd in '95, a true pride in being a Blue & hearing envious mates go on about "Everton have got the best player in the world" - not sure any amount of dosh makes up for that. We've had a crap Board since John Moores left, but at least BK is one of us. We have a really good young manager, a fanatically loyal fanbase & some decent younger players, including the best in the country, but by the start of the season all we might have left is a crappier Board & an
even-more-disillusioned-but-loyal fanbase, at least 9000 of whom would buy new season tickets if Wayne signed today. P. S. I had a cartilage op last Wed, but will give it ago marking Henry if we're really short for the first game. david.j.styles. (28/07/04)

Everton Win Masters

What a great victory and fantastic entertainment. Despite another dodgy ref giving a penalty in the final after Niall Quinn could have got an oscar for a dive we still managed to outclass and outplay a very tight outfit of Man City Don't be fooled this was no easy task.

We beat Man utd 4:1
Drew with City 0:0
Beat Bolton 3:0

Can't remember the rest Anyway highlight of the night had to be Peter Beagrie almost Punched Referee hodges lights out when he gave ANOTHER dodgy decision against us and he was sent off to the sin bin. Come on you blue boys its enough to make you heart go wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh. SGWhelan. (28/07/04)

Paul Gregg - Beware of Him

An Everton rep has been trying to find a buyer in and around Bangkok for Paul Gregg's shareholding over the last couple of months...Paul Gregg has no interest in a 5-year plan at EFC...he simply wants out asap...as long as he can recoup his original investment of course. Mariam. (28/07/04)
