Li Tie - Immortal

Whilst reading your latest article concerning our Chinese superstar, I decided to check out what the rest of the world wide web thought of our midfield maestro. According to this site www.pantheon.org/articles/l/li_tie-guai.html HE IS IMMORTAL! Will he be after a long term contract? Weird. Dave Mac. (22/11/04)

Moyesy's Team Recognised Abroad

Don't know if it's much use but this excellent article appeared in the Barcelona sports paper "El Mundo Deportivo" today...about "Life After Rooney"..

http://www.elmundodeportivo.es/20041103/OPINION180613583.html

..basically giving us a great write-up..comparing how well Moyes is doing both on and off the park (compared to the childish antics of Ferguson, Wenger and Mourinho)..how Moyes blamed the press for trying to destabilise the club with all the transfer talk surrounding R$$n£y..the way the players are fighting for each other and doing a great job despite any real superstars in the team.....and at the end it says that Moyes doesn't get the knives out like Ferguson, doesn't try to justify the unjustifiable like Wenger and isn't a snitch like Mourinho (reference to the Mutu situation...)....all he does is win matches!! Nice to see the team's efforts being recognised abroad...
Cheers, Adrian. (22/11/04)

Carsley Missed

The Villa game was not our usual fare, and this, I believe, is down to Carsley's suspension. If a team is to mount a sustained effort for the full season then you either have to have 22 world class players or no injuries and suspensions. The Villa. Chelsea and Arsenal games without Carsley, are our first real test as we have been lucky on the injury front.
The passing, closing down and general playing for the team and their fellow players has been epitomised by Carsley and his suspension will tell, as it did re Villa. I have just checked Nov and Dec fixtures, 27 points available, with some tricky games, so all in all if we can collect 15 - 17 points from these games it will keep us in the chase.
The first league table of 2004 (Jan 3rd) showed EFC on 23 points after 19 games, so if we can add 15-17 points to today's total ( 23 points after 11 games) we should be on the 38 - 40 point mark. For the record that will keep us in or around third position, if last years table is anything to go by.
Keep the faith and pray David has is eye on someone special for the new year and a sustained effort for the full season. who knows we might all meet in Munich, Turkey or Spain for a few self indulgent drinks, I have already started my European fund.
Peter Manning. (22/11/04)

Much Better Season

I'm 14 and I go to matches with my dad and what I've seen so far is a better effort than last year. Yousaf. (22/11/04)

What's The Point?

I'm not getting blasi about our present league position, but, am I underrstanding this correctly? If we lose on Saturday we'll stay in 3rd place. If we win on Saturday we'll stay in 3rd place. So, can somebody tell me please... what's the point in turning up? Gwladys. (19/11/04)

Timepiece

Any truth in the rumour that the £15000 timepiece Colleen has bought our Wayne is a Divers Watch? Tony Newman. (18/11/04)

Pongo Waring

My Dad often mentioned "Pongo" Waring as one of his favourite players. He used to talk about him in the same breath as Tommy Lawton so I reckon he must have been something special. I notice he isn't in anyone's greatest team. Perhaps one of our old timers could tell us about this player? Laurie from OZ. (18/11/04)

What Do Points Make?

26 points!!! My boy is wondering why the Christmas tree isn't down to it's last 3 needles. At this rate we'll have 40 points on New Year's day and he'll be asking for his Easter eggs. Gwladys. (15/11/04)

Banner Needed

We need a banner for Wayne's return and the one used when Figo returned to Barca will say it all:

"We hate you so much because we loved you so much"

I wanted only the best for him and now.. I despise Stretford, Rooney and Kenwright (in that order). I will relish every sordid expose of his grubby life and laugh as the endorsements dry up and he is manoeuvred by Stretford into his next lucrative sell-out. F**k him - he's gone. Let's move on. St Ender

Moyes is awesome

Its the first time today I've looked at the site and what a site!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been missing out on a lot, there's loadsa things for us bluenoses to have a look at and its all been done in a light hearted fun way, I haven't laughed so much for ages. Its now in my favourites and I will be spreading the word to any of my mates who don't know about bluekipper.com

Keep up the good work, well done. Great result from the boys in blue. Bent was great again with his running. What a bargain. (Who's pathetic now Bruce you big nose Manc) Gutted about the lucky redshite today. Only at Analfield could you get 2 peno's and 1 in the last minute. Dave Moyes is awesome. I can honestly say I NEVER slagged him off last year unlike a few Evertonians I know. The man has been amazing and when we give him money to spend he will get the best young BRITISH talent around to take us forward. We don't need a bucket load a foreign crap who are here for the money. One more thing, Osman, Cahill and Kilbane. Thank you. I had a moan when we signed killa but how wrong was I. Good luck for the rest of the season and keep up the good work all at bluekipper.com (Just had to get all of that off my chest) Cheers. Julie Bennett. (15/11/04)

Worst XI

It depends how far you want to go back and its frightening some of the dross that had already been mentioned
but a place has to found for Bernie Wright. What a waste of 35 grand. Gareth Parry, the salford toffeeman. (15/11/04)

Goodison Boulevard

I lived over in doncaster for a while, and close to donny rover's belle vue ground there's a post-war housing estate where, thanks to some inspired town-planning meetings, all the streets are named after footy grounds - ayersome, vetch, highbury, etc. the biggest and best street of the lot though is none other than GOODISON BOULEVARD. perhaps the boss was a bluenose? just thought you might like to know. Matt Kassell. (15/11/04)

Moyesy Signs

What a relief! He eventually signs. Does this mean that he definitely has a lot of money in the bank for January? Surely he wouldn't have signed for a further four years without assurances that he wouldn't be so badly let down again? Lets hope he gets around fifteen million to do something with and he brings genuine class in. Two midfielders and a proven centre forward would be nice! and maybe a swap deal for Ball and Naysmith? Despite the great performance at Stamford Bridge, class did tell in the end, I just hope they can get back to winning ways as soon as possible but I don't think it will happen against Birmingham. I will gladly take a draw then stuff the repulsive Fulham next week! Great site! All the best. Forever Blue. (12/11/04)
