Same Old Same Old I
have spent the weekend drunk, feel a bit rough this morning, but it doesn't
matter as I work from home (lucky bastard) and don't have to go out to
work at some god forsaken time on the bus, train, bike, skateboard or
roller skates, whatever the working man uses to get to the daily grind.
It felt great turning over when the alarm went off. Radio City headline
"Everton stay second" and suddenly I wake up. Shit! We're second
and a rather large grin spreads across my face. After my ablutions I dress
and make coffee and there it was again on the radio "Everton remain
second in the prem after .........." And something dawns on me, I
don't have to go out to work. I APOLOGISE if I upset any Evertonians with my reaction to Steven Gerrard's goal last Wednesday night. But I don't feel I need to defend myself. When I'm doing my job I am a neutral, whether I am watching Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea or even Liverpool. I wanted to see four English teams in the knockout stages of the Champions League and it looked like Liverpool weren't going to make it for a long time. When Steven Gerrard pulled a rabbit out of the hat it was a spontaneous gesture of appreciation for what was a hugely important goal for a British club in Europe. But I still consider myself to be an Evertonian. And I was delighted by the result at Goodison Park on Saturday! Regards, Andy Gray. (16/12/04) My 1st Derby I am 16, and this weekend was the first time i went and seen us beat the red shite. i've been a few times before, but seen draws and seen them bastards wipe the floor with us, but that's gotta be the best derby moment ever. i was sitting at the very back of the gwladys and when we jumped up when we scored, my mate cracked his head on the roof and was nearly knocked unconscious. it was a class game and i'll remember it for the rest of my life. Martin Christian. (16/12/04) Keep It Coming Please Sky & The Rest Of Ya's...... It's all been said now after another great weekend but just before I went off to dream my blue dreams last night, I put sky sport news on to see how Man Who? Got on against (their, sorry our fellow premiership contenders (Hmmm) Fulham. Firstly the result: Absolutely Brilliant, more lost points, more ground gained, earned by us, rrr Yeah! This (for me) capped the perfect weekend of results for our beloved blue-boys & may I just say Well Done the lads & that goes right from the grass roots (grounds man, supporters etc.) right up to the new CEO (players, Moyesy& Bully etc.). Secondly the opinions: What grated me again last night (but not, I'll explain this bit in a min) is the way that that poe faced, red nosed, conniving, horrible little feck, Rooney's Dad, sorry, A Ferguson stood there and said the most disappointing thing is that our main rivals let points slip the weekend and we haven't caught up with them!? Now I agree (sort of) that his two main rivals did let slip the weekend against each other. But F me he just waxed lyrical as if we are not even in the premiership, Hello? Do we exist???? Are we 2nd in the league? Then when that horrible, red faced old man, disappeared it went back to the BBC News wanna bees in the studio, one of which, I might add, is a scouser and yet it was still - Blah blah, Man Who title contenders, the Arse & Chelski blah blah bullshit. Here's the catch, I've got a new Mrs. and her allegiance is with Crystal Palace (actually Brentford) but since being with me she has wholeheartedly supported our beloved, but upon watching this debacle of backhanded insults she turned to me and said "doesn't that piss you off? Its as if your not 2nd in the league after being 3rd for over 12 weeks, its like you don't even exist to him/them"? And I said, it does piss me of BUT and it's a big but; this lack of press, respect etc. seems to be driving the boys onward and (listen up Ferguson) upward. So as far as I'm, concerned, I hope (and fully expect) that we will still be talked about (or not) like this right up until the end of the season, so carry on with the insults / lack of respect from everyone and everywhere you 'Orrible little lot because Our Ginger leader is listening and using all your condescending insults and feeding it to the boys, who in turn are producing the goods, week in, week out!!! Come
on you Blue Boys.
David Stranack. (16/12/04) From the pub in Canada Funny how we seemed to creep up on the cockneys, hope its not to uncomfortable for them, Sharing can be annoying especially with the upstarts of Everton. It's a pain to watch them looking for answers. It's great to see and listen to them argue over the goal scored on Chelsea by the quick free kick. Lets be honest we do not want to upset the new people who seem to think they have a lock on top positions. My life as been made really a delight. Another pint barmaid and have one your self. John Lea. (16/12/04) I would just like to say that I feel really let down by the Everton fans who shouted Murderers at the Liverpool fans. I don't care what grudge Everton fans have against Liverpool that type of chanting does not belong at Goodison park. I love Everton just as much as the next man but I just cannot understand why people who have the intellect to support the best team behave in such a way. Listening to thousands of people chant such nonsense left me feeling embarrassed to be a blue a nose and the people involved need to take a good look at themselves because what I heard chanted on Saturday was a disgrace and inexcusable. The bluekipper.com website works along side Everton and I think you should be condemning behaviour like that rather adding to the problem referring to them all the time as shite!!!!! Graham. (16/12/04) Is it just a dream? I
really do find it amusing that whenever there is talk about the Premiership
title they talk only about Chelski (not won the leaugue since Dick Turpin
robbed the trophy off them), Arsenal (bad losing cheating bastards) &
Man-Ure (bad losing cheating bastards). Ashley Cole was on Sky and he
didn't even mentioning our blue boys. Why is that I wonder? Is it because
we are all having a dream and we are really 1 from the bottom and not
1 from the top. No, we know that its real because we would only be dreaming
if the Shite were top. The real reason we never get a mention is because
the pundits and players of the 'top three in the country' are embarrassed.
They thought they were so invincible. The traitor even went to Man-Ure
because we are so shite. How does he feel now and how did he feel watching
it on Saturday? Keep it up Moyesy and the boys you deserve medals all
of you. By the way I don't think we will win the league for a moment but
after all that was expected of us we can have a laugh at everyone. Especially
Jersey Dudek after last night's howler. LUVIN' IT Not only pure grit beat the redshite's, but a midfield that is gelling more and more every match. Watched the game at the Inglewood Hotel in Perth WA.......8 bluenoses there huddled in a corner watching whilst the rest of the pub drank listening to a DJ........We were louder than the DJ!!!....the lone redshite left at the final whistle before we could corner him.. WELL DONE Moyesy well done the lads. Can't stop staring at the League table today. Mick. Perth WA. (12/12/04) Anyone but Lily Thought
I`d send my annual e-mail. Will somebody pinch me because I must be dreaming
or suffering the effects of my latest prescription. Are we really second
in the Premiership ? And rightly so to boot ! However, as usual, I must
have my little moan. Living in the south I have to rely on the press and
of course this web site to try and keep up with the latest developments.
There have been many stories recently that the long haired tart, namely
Robbie Savage, is to join the mighty Blues. While I can have absolutely
no complaints whatsoever about the season so far I am a little concerned
about the many rumours of who is now going to jump on the bandwagon at
Goodison. Happy Days I'm ecstatic, buzzing, absolutely class, I thought everyone was outstanding on Saturday but I'd like to single out Kilbane who had several shades of shite knocked out of him but kept running and running - shows how crap Bennett is (oh yes you are!) Come on!!! Rich Welsh Blues. (13/12/04) TEARS STREAMING DOWN MY FACE Upper
Gwladys street on in my usual seat everton 0-0 against the shite then
something happened The Derby Great game , beat the redside! What a game. What more can we say, higher in the league than them and we beat them. What a life to live ! ! ! Peter Jones. (13/12/04) Stubbs and Weir - Yes In Reply to Joe 90's comments over Joey Yobo...as good as a player he is... who would you put joey in for? I think DM has got it spot on wit davey and stubbsy so don't b criticizing. Regards Rob. (13/12/04) The Future joe 90 is spot on. Yobo especially should walk into the side. Weir and Stubbs are both too slow. Also in a bid to keep Tommy G we should make him captain and let him lead by example. Perhaps then he would feel appreciated and want to stay. He to me is pivotal in all the good that this season has brought.....so far. garry glitta the manc toffee eater. (13/12/04) Youngsters In my opinion, Joe 90 was right in many ways in his e-mail about breeding more youngsters in to the first team, but I am not a 100% sure that it's the way forward for any club these days. Sure, in the past we've succeeded to spot the talent of numerous youngsters that have evaporated into some of the best (if not the best) in the world. The likes of Colin Harvey, Big Nev, and even Wayne Rooney. They're names will be remembered forever, but also for coming through the ranks at Goodison. Players such as Nick Chadwick and the more recent Jamie McFadden, have been summoned with only a few opportunities, but they can't say Moyesy hasn't given them a chance. He has, and we've been frustrated with them. They SIMPLY haven't performed. They are still young and our squad is small, so they're still a chance. As for Joey Yobo, he's still very young, and Moyesy knows his talent, but you cant change a winning side, and especially when your other two centre halves are performing. Stubbsy and Weir will pick up knocks or suspensions, and it's nice to say that we have a world class centre half to cover. When a certain person related to the SHITE, said a few years ago about the likes off Butt, Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, and the Nevilles, when they were coming through the ranks of Manchester United. "You can't win the league with kids." Yes it was you Mark Lawrenson. His statement proved to be emphatically wrong! But that was SHITE talking from a SHITE....end of. Passion for football has been overlooked in recent years by many pro footballers in the English game, where foreigners and money has taken over. OK it's nice to see some of the best world class players coming to the English game but the amount of money ther are paid is ridiculous. A team like Everton have to buy the so called big names in order to compete with the likes of Arse, and Chelski. We should consider that we are in third place on merit, but we have also worked our socks off, and I give full credit to the players and King Moyesy. But January will come and we must buy in order to finish the amazing job we have started. To conclusion, for how sorry it is for me to agree with a red shite, but "You cant win the league with kids." Not these days anyway. Iwan. North Wales. Blue4Eva. (13/12/04) Kings Of Leon 2 It scares me to death what some people write sometimes they all ways think they know better who can know better than David Moyes write now? answer no one maybe god but i doubt it the way he brought Leon Osman through was superb how anyone can doubt that is beyond me and as for the bit about Joseph Yobo yes he is a top player but how about the men at the back who have performed ace this season and have the record to prove it? everyone is entitled to there view but the must be enough sensible Evertonians who do this site to send the idiot who wrote the kings of Leon to Anfield or better still back to school all though i imagine that its the same place! ANIL. (13/12/04) Joseph Yobo I agree fully with what Joe 90 said, as I always seem to. Against Newcastle and Chelsea, Yobo would have put more pressure on Robben/Bellamy had he been playing instead of say, Stubbs. I know that the Stubbs/Weir combination has conceded fewer goals than any combo involving Joey, but I for one think he needs to build his back four around him. The break that has been forced upon him has probably stamped out any careless tendencies, which might have been a criticism of the big man. I agree, that Moyes must find a way of starting Joey, week in week out. Stubbs and Weir have both been immense of late, although they are BOTH very slow. I would have a Weir/ Yobo combination. Joseph has the composure, the pace, the ariel dominance and the natural attributes to be the best Everton defender since Ratcliffe, no question. His pace at the back can be an extra component of defence when we are caught out on the break. He has the potential to be the best centre back in this country. John Reece. (13/12/04) Couldn’t agree more with Neil from Milton Keynes. I’m bored rigid with MBE’s ego trips – for God’s sake stop trying to be Jeremy Paxman. John from Oxford. (13/12/04) What Do You Think?
