Fans Council - What a great opportunity wasted

On first hearing about this idea, I thought, Yes at last a chance for the ordinary fan to be heard. How wrong I was. I went along to the meeting, but was amazed to see that it had been bandjaxed by the Shareholders Association. The people on the top table were all from the shareholders. Haven't they got enough say at their own meetings. I haven't got a problem with them being part of it, but not running the show. Even the notice is written by them and the e-mail address for correspondence to the Fans Council is to the Shareholders Association. What a waste of time. Ever Blue. (31/12/04)

Swap Naysmith For Ball

Rangers cannot afford to give us the £500,000 for Michael Ball, we have an average age in our defence of about 52, Weir is gone at the end of the season, Naysmith won't sign a contract but wants to go to Scotland. He will go for nothing, why don't Everton just do a straight swap, It makes sense Bally is and was a good player.

Tsunami Disaster

As an avid Evertonian living out here in Thailand I would just like to say a big thank you to Everton FC, and in particular Keith Wyness, for starting a disaster fund to help all the unfortunate people who have been so devastated out here. As you all know many English tourists along with Thai nationals have lost their lives and I am sure, in the long term, funds like this will have the desired effect.
I am not sure if you are all aware but the English premiership is massive out here and if all the clubs follow Everton's lead then perhaps this can repay, in some small way, the loyalty and support of these fans.
seasons greetings, Bazzer the Evertonian. (31/12/04)

Big Dunc

In my opinion it’s time to sell big Dunc, especially after the display against Charlton!!! Everyone breaking their back for a result and he does a pathetic thing like that! Ian Jones. (30/12/04)

Ferguson

Can anyone please explain to me and probably countless others, on how the fuck our hero Big Dunc can still claim cult status amongst certain sections of our supporters? As you can guess I'm doing this after the Charlton game, and I'm incensed at the ridiculous antics of that prick, which certainly ended any chance we had of getting a point in the dying moments. He constantly lets us blues down at vital moments, especially when we don't need any disruption to our small squad at this time. Remember Bolton at home the other season, fighting relegation, and our great matador looses his head again, Villa home, Leicester away, do I need to go on? He's a total liability, and if I was Moyesy he wouldn't wear a blue shirt again. FUCK HIM OFF NOW !!!!! Kev F. (30/12/04)

Interview with a Big Man

Mickey. If I was parting with a chunk of my company (however desperate for cash) I would expect to know a lot more detail about the people I was getting into bed with. From your interview it appears Everton only have contact with the messenger, personally at this stage I would expect to be in contact with the person who signs the cheque and makes the decisions.

Being positive it's Christmas and cadbury's are plentiful this time of year, a sackful are probably on Santa's sledge right now, due at L4 anytime before!!!!!!!!.
All the best to everyone, and yes we are in a false position.....should be top.
Michael McCarthy. (30/12/04)

Keith Wyness

Excellent interview. Thank you. We need to know what is going on, although he was, understandably, evasive in some areas (Wayne Rooney). Brianwc. (30/12/04)

Bill Wyness Interview

Very good questions , unfortunately the important ones were very well deflected, hopefully his plans will all fall in to place but we have all seen and heard it before. thank god the boys on the frontline are doing the job, they have our support its about time the board gave their solid support instead of just talking a good business plan. we need action NOW. Gary Robinson. (30/12/04)

Michael Ball

Maybe I am missing something here, but how come Rangers are so in debt they can't pay £500,000 for a clause on a player, which was done on their terms. Yet they get 50,000 plus supporters a week? And more importantly they can turn down a £8 million Bid for a player (Boumsong) they signed on a free transfer less then 4 months ago. Time for big Keith to get on the case . . . Jimmy Searle. (30/12/04)

Relegation Blues

The boys are brilliant. The result against City has made my crimbo, thank you, Its enough to make you heart go vroom vroom. My what a difference from just a year ago, we can now relax the points are in the bag. The poor pricks near the bottom can have it to themselves. Now lets get going to Europe to buy a fat paycheck, Moyes Men are on the march onward you blue boys We shall not be moved COYB. John Lea. (27/12/04)

Here's Hoping

So we play Manchester City again, looking back to the away fixture (which I still class as our best win this season ) to now, what a season, so far! But psychologically the Boxing day game will turn out to be even more important at the end of this season than that glorious win back in September. Manchester City was the last game I saw in England prior to trying my luck down under, I have never felt so low over Everton in the thirty years of following the club. That final home game against Bolton during the interval when all those wonderful players were acknowledged as the finest Everton team, Ball, Labone, Sheedy, Wilson, Sharp, Southall you know the rest, obviously you were there too! Wanting to come home following the awful defeat to Arsenal. Genuinely worried that my team could go down, much more settled now that they are gunning for Europe, the club don't require my support as much now that they are doing well after all even Everton have there fair share of glory hunters, eager to go at the merest hint of possible success, I know a few personally, what these sad individuals fail to realise is that it is an honour to support this club not a chore!

Anyway where was I? Yes the Boxing day game, I personally believe this result will affect what we do for the rest of the season. Following the win over Liverpool, like most blues I thought of the last win over them and then that disastrous run of results, ten without a win wasn't it? Looking at the fixture list we need to achieve at least eight points off our next four games, a tall order I realise, but the inconsistency that all the top teams are suffering from at the moment, surely makes this our best opportunity in nine years to get into Europe. My only concern is the size of the squad and so many games in only nine days. What I would give to be third going into the new year against Spurs. Finally David, I love you, but please strengthen in January, I know Parker is unlikely now but Beattie and Dyer?

To the bluekipper.com team many thanks for a wonderful site that has allowed exiled blues to keep in touch with all things Everton, keep up the fantastic work and all the very best to you and yours for Christmas and the New year. Come on you blues! Great interview MBE, any chance of your views on the game a little sooner after the game has finished? Also any chance of your predictions on the game before a Friday? Forever Everton. (25/12/04)

Moyesy - We Are Blessed

The man Moyesy never fails to say the right things, I can't get enough of the sense he makes. We are truly blessed with a cagey Scot, You can always see a man who knows the value of a dollar, The truth is a fool and is money you know the rest, Moyes for a long and happy Everton life. Happy Christmas Blue Kippers. COYB. John Lea. (25/12/04)

Are Everton...

(a) ... mounting a title challenge, given that we are two wins off the top with half of the season gone and can boast the league's the most consistently excellent midfielder's in Thomas Gravesen and Tim Cahill?

(b) ... being furiously patronised by a media who long ago slipped into a big-name mind set and cannot possibly comprehend how our well-organized team of few stars can regularly achieve better results than big-spending clubs like Manchester United or Liverpool?

Answers on postcard please. Kipper, in my last correspondence I toasted 40 pts by Xmas. Ain't the reality so much sweeter than the dream? Have a merry Crimbo that thanks for providing a ray of sunshine in what could otherwise be a dull life. Abi aka blackandblu. (25/12/04)

Christmas Greetings From Russia
