Thanks I see Alan Stubbs, Alessandro Pistone and Steve Watson have left. I would just like to say thank you to all three of them for helping the club I have supported for 44 years avoid relegation and restore our footballing pride. This was a big ask of the players this time last year and yet they pulled it off despite the odds. Once again, thank you lads, and all the best with whatever club you end up going to - you've done us proud. While I'm writing - can you smell the air brothers? The war banner is in the air once more! Come on the Blues! Laurie from Oz. (12/07/05) That was lucky!
Thank God Mark Hughes had the sense to buy Bellamy. In years to come
we will all go Phew! that was close. I really don't know what Moyesy
was thinking about. Did he think he could tame Bellamy? That he could
become a model professional? Can you imagine him performing in the dressing
room with Cars and Dunken around, there would be blood. No I'm happy
he's gone elsewhere. OK he is a class player but not one for the Blues. Transfers Well
here we go again. We find ourselves in a truly remarkable position,
season ticket sales through the roof, biggest ever TV money, we do actually
look an attractive prospect. But can we sign a world class player? Can
we No Neck, No Loss I’m so pleased that we didn’t sign Craig Belamy. The no-necked, foetus-faced pygmy embodies all that is wrong in football: he’s a cynical, moaning cheat who’s obviously only in it for the money, and I’m certain he would have disrupted the great team spirit that helped us achieve so much last season. We’re much better off without him. Dave Cornmell. (12/07/05) Players Wages Until everton start offering proper salaries we will be lucky to attract any good players to the club. SHIT WAGES MEANS SHIT PLAYERS. Scott Parker wasn't being greedy, he was on £55k so why should he take a drop to play for any one else. All Everton are offering is a drop in salary and a chance to play in a qualifier that might lead to the uefa cup then obscurity again with the current squad of players. Last season of high drama we adopted the greek style of play that worked well but it took us a long time to change after grav left and we nearly blew it. If we don't properly strengthen the squad for the coming campaign I fear the worst, I don't know if my nerves will live up to another season like the last. At the time of writing we haven't signed any one of note hence my frustration in this letter. Chris Simpson. (12/07/05) I'M
SORRY, BUT OUR TRANSFER POLICY IS FUCKING SHITE. AFTER ALL THE SHIT
THAT WE HAD TO PUT UP WITH LAST SUMMER, IT IS NOW LOOKING LIKE WE WILL
START THE MOST IMPORTANT SEASON FOR DECADES WITH LESS PLAYERS THAN LAST
YEAR!!! WHY CANT WE TIE UP DEALS IN ONE GO INSTEAD OF LETTING EVERY
OTHER FUCKER KNOW WHO WE ARE CHASING? EVEN THE SHITE ARE TAKING PLAYERS
FROM UNDER OUR NOSES! Bellamy On
Hearing the new that Angry head, girls hair Bellamy has gone to Blackburn,
I cannot tell you how relieved I am. TWO EQUATIONS
DAVID MOYES BEST MANAGER IN THE PREMIERSHIP + EVERTON F.C. FINISH FOURTH
IN PREMIERSHIP = Scratching Around On Transfer Deadline Day Yet again it appears "Dithering Dave" has failed in his latest transfer targets. We go from being favourites to sign the likes of Bellamy and Sissoko to all so rans. There is clearly something amiss here. If this were a new thing it wouldn't be a worry, but this is reminiscent of the Sean Davies fiasco of two closed seasons ago. Whilst we have no concerns over Moyes's ability to get the best out of his current players, surely this failure to attract players is a serious concern. It is all very well bidding for the likes of Parker, Bellamy & Emre, but if we aren't going to pay the wages they are unlikely to join us. There will not be many fans out there who would accept a 20% wage reduction to move from one company to another - the same applies for footballers, although on a completely different scale. Forgetting about Champions League/UEFA Cup we desperately need quality signings to try and maintain a healthy league position next year. If we are serious about signing a player go all out to get him, but if we can't afford his wages in the first place then forget about it and don't waste everyone's time and build false optimism amongst the fans. Regrettably I can see us scratching round on transfer deadline day getting second rate players that other clubs overlooked. Regards. Chris O. (12/07/05) We Need Numbers We
are all on edge about the squad right now, who is coming in and who
is going out. The fact is we need some numbers in, our squad is too
small for the extra fixture demands now we are in Europe. Stubbsey and
Watson will be missed, we now hope Kroldrup will fit into the back four,
maybe a long term partner for Yobbo with Davey Weir not being so young.
I am hoping Morretti can come in and give us some new blood on the left,
Pistone was never good at going forward, couldnt cross a ball, ( OK
he did set up Dunc against Notlob, but one good cross all season?) and
his link up with Killa never produced much. Be Patient Lets not get carried away. Last year was a great finish, Moyes has ten years to turn this club around. It's taken twenty years to fall behind. So lets be patient my fellow blues! COYB. John Lea. (12/07/05) You Can Keep Yer Greedy Bastards Stevie
G is he staying or going????
Who gives a fuck, I`ve been watching events unfold from out here in
Brazil with interest, as the shite try to prove that they are still
a big club by hanging on to their no-browed underachieving skipper. Everton Shirt Appeal I understand I have left this late, but I am due to go to Russia next Saturday to do some voluntary work refurbishing a run down, but fully operating orphanage, with a charity group called 'Komso Kids'. I
went last year with the group to refurbish part of the orphanage, and
it was sad to see these children with no possessions that they can cherish.
I gave my Everton shirt to a young girl last year, and intend to do
the same I was wondering if it was at all possible to maybe appeal for old shirts on your site that I could take over next week? If there maybe any possibility of running with this could you contact me on email address cmoodyefc@yahoo.co.uk. Kind regards, Chris Moody. (12/07/05) Skitz The
