We have had hundreds of e-mails on the Bucharest Horror Fiasco. We will put most of the rest on tomorrow I see today on our official web site that everton are going to refund the fans who were left stranded at the airport that's good but how about refunding the fans that actually went to the ground and even the fans that have to pay there sky subscription fee to watch it on itv 2 as well!! that's the worst everton performance i have ever seen!!! i was so excited about this season i actually thought we could win this uefa cup could i of been anymore wrong?! the seasons not over yet but shit we better start playing football soon!! chris fisher (we'll beat them 5-0 at Goodison!!) (16/09/05) What's Going On? Can't believe Everton's poor star to the season ,after all the expectations of building on last years success .Having actually had money to buy new players they are playing like a strangers and the team work of last season seems a distant memory .Its to early to write the season off yet.Things can only improve and still optimistic of turning it round .I have every confidence in David Moyes being able to do the job. regards Paul Ruffell. (16/09/05) Horror show I have never in all my years as an everton fan been so embarrassed at being born in with the blue blood! After everything we achieved last season I thought this season we would go out and prove the doubters who said we were a fluke. However, it looks like we are. What sickens me the most is that gobby red shite Alan Green spouted all that crap about us being a flash in the pan and not worthy of europe and we seemed to take that as an action plan instead of motivation to prove the smug git wrong. I'm not even going to watch on monday i'll just be praying for a single figure scoreline!! Rob Connor. Warrington. (16/09/05) Seems like the whole thing was doomed from the start ! 40000 people inside Goodison have known for some time we needed a good striker ! Why has this not happened ? We should not of been waiting till 12 midnight on transfer deadline to sort it out it should of been done and dusted in the closed season. Here we are now counting the cost of not adding enough quality to our squad. Questions have to be asked of the management , why did we start so deep in the second half when we contained them pretty much in the first? Why did it take so long for changes to be made ? why do we look so tired and like a team who have never played together before ? And why is Tony Hibbert and McFadden still wearing a blue shirt ? The whole attitude needs sorting if we want to get anything out of this season never mind the next leg ! I love Everton and yes like us all they have caused me some pain but last night I could not believe or understand what I was seeing, who knows how the guys who went yesterday are feeling maybe the players need to spend some of their vast amounts of wealth in compensating those fans , because they deserve it! Come on Everton SORT IT OUT! Dave Williams. (16/09/05) Bucharest nightmare We need a technical director to work with Moyes . The result against Bucharest was there waiting to happen. Our form since Xmas has been poor . The writing was on the wall when we played in the Asia cup. Any team with a bit of pace will cause us problems as the Thailand under 23 side showed . Everton's dealings in the transfer market have been shambolic to put it politely(players injured , out of form , or can't play in Moyes' system). We need someone to come in and assist Moyes because what i have seen since Xmas only leaves me to believe that we are in for some more hammering's. My faith in Moyes tactical ability started to evaporate when we were battered at Man city , Spurs & at Arsenal. Cheers. Chipper. (16/09/05) Euro Rubbish After a long hard but superb season in which we qualified for Europe all the good from then is now over in two games, and we are all embarrassed this morning. However much the fans speak their hurt, the club don’t want to know and all we will get is a load of rubbish in the papers on TV and the web of how hurt and sorry the players are and want to put it right against Arsenal. Fact is, were heard that this week after Portsmouth and got humiliated last night, we will here the same over the weekend but again we will get humiliated against Arsenal. Players managers and coaching staff coming out and saying how sorry they are for the last performance is not good enough they should learn to shut up and put it right on the pitch, because whether they like it or not the facts are; We cant score goals, were out of Europe and come Monday night we will be rooted to the bottom of the Premiership. Wake up Everton its crisis time, AGAIN! Mark Beamer. (16/09/05) Good Friendship The good point was that before the match both team's fans drink beer together. When I arrive in a pub cross the station, it was full with english supporters. Dinamo's fans are well known like the most aggressive in Romania. For the very first time we haven't fights on streets ... . Incredible. That was for me the most important point the score is also incredible. Regards, Bogdan. Bucharest. (16/09/05) Earn Your Corn I
have been an EVERTONIAN for over 30 years, and yet today, for the first
time ever I feel totally embarrassed and let down by the Club and Players.
I have read the comments posted by fellow blues and agree with them all.
None more than the posting from Dylan Morgan. He's absolutely right. We
pay hundreds if not thousands of pounds every year supporting our beloved
Club. To be repaid by nothing but a shower of half hearted pre madonna's,
taking the piss and getting paid a fortune. In short "NOT GOOD ENOUGh"! Pinnacle What an absolute joke our great team has now become. Dare I say it but was last season the pinnacle of Davey Moyes's Everton career? Kilbane, Osman, Hibbert, Bent either start playing or leave! Dixie. (16/09/05) What a shower of shite Last
night was the worst Everton display I have seen in a very long time -
it even transcends the 0-7 debâcle against arsenal et the end of
last season. The
first half we looked okay, but again fell to a quick counter. The I know we have been unlucky with injuries, the the antithesis of the situation last season where Bas Rathbone sat twiddling his thumbs for the most part, but the eleven that started the game should have had enough class to make a decent game of it. Everyone has been going on about us needing a striker, That is only partly true. Last also showed that what is needed is someone to control the midfield à la Keane, Vieira or (spit) Gerrard. Actually it's been showing for a long time, last night only highlighted it more. Since Tommy Grav went we haven't had anyone to boss the centre of the pitch and dictate the play. I
have not been so ashamed and angry over an Everton 'performance' as I
was last night. On the way home I was honestly hoping someone would try
and mug me, I would have ripped their head off. The worst thing is I'll
more than likely watch the return leg, we'll more than likely lead 4-0
until the 92nd minute and let in a silly goal - or Newsletter From Official Site Had an email sent 2 hours after the game from the official site. It was an interview with Moyesy talking about his preparation for the Bucharest game. The club cannot even organise for a mailer about an upcoming match to be sent before the f##kin game! Was in a sh1te mood anyway, that just turned the knife. Then after the Villareal ticket f##k up, they leave fans stranded at the f##kin airport. Sh1te, utter sh1te. This problem goes a lot deeper than what is on the pitch. Just when we think things are on the up...... the reality kicks in again. F##kin 'ell. Mark Warren. (16/09/05) Keep The Faith Well,
having watched possibly the worst game of football I have ever seen in
10 years of support, I feel I need to tell someone how frustrated and
worried I am about our club. Words
fail me which is not a very good start. We are not even at the end of
September and I am beginning to feel that our season is nearly over !
We are out of the Champions League and all but out of the UEFA Cup. We
have played four Premiership games and managed a fortuitous win at Bolton.
We managed to lose at home to Portsmouth for the first time in 48 years.
We also lost at Fulham AGAIN ! Everything Everton Yet
again feel like doin myself in what a passionless bunch of wankers. Simon
Davies a winger think Davie Thomas enough said and don't get me started
on gay boy Macfadden couldn't beat a fuckin egg. All the shite in the
papers were gonna do this and do that Moyesy, Yobo, Neville, Valente,
all talkin through their arses. This team will get nowhere only got fourth
spot last season because everyone below us was so inept. Me and my daughter
go every game not any more why should I waste my hard earned on this shit.
So many of the players have got no heart only big bank balances. If only
they played with as much passion as true EVERTONIANS we might get somewhere.
I have the crest tattooed on my forearm I wish I could get it off. European Embarrassment After watching that shocking and spineless second half capitulation tonight in Europe, I had to rant at someone...so here goes. A
few weeks ago, I accused David Moyes of being the football equivalent
of Sam Dingle in the transfer market - after buying Phil Neville. The
fact that Neville is proving to be one of our better players (whilst highlighting
the However,
anyone who knows anything about Everton (except David Moyes evidently)
knew that we simply had to buy another striker before the transfer window
closed - someone who could run reasonably fast and actually score a goal.
Rumours abounded all summer about the strikers who Moyes was going to
sign, and I am sure I was not alone in staying on the web until midnight
on the last day of the transfer window to see who Moyes had picked Managers are no different to football players in that they have certain strengths and weaknesses. Ferguson, for example, is not mobile enough, Hibbert can't cross a ball, Osman is too puny and frail, Bent cannot score and Kilbane can't do anything. Similarly, with the glorious exception of Tim Cahill, Moyes is clueless in the transfer market. Half the players he has bought seem to be crocked before they have even played a game for us. The European dream is now all but dead, injuries are beginning to bite, and we can get back to the relegation battle that lies ahead whilst contemplating on where the next goal is coming from. Sam Dingle ? Probably not, but for all the dithering, inaction and procrastination, I will settle for Roy Cropper. Steve Smith. Culcheth. (16/09/05) THE DAY WE ROLLED OVER AND GIVE IN! I LOVE EVERTON TO THE BONE, But sadly tonight, after watching the game and the player's head dropping after the seconded goal, i'm sorry to announce that everton have passed away. R.I.P. Everton Football Club. 15/09/05. Darren Hyland. (16/09/05) 2nd Leg - Guess The Crowd Wonder what the ticketing arrangements will be now that we have had our arses kicked in Bucharest, perhaps they will have somebody on the turnstiles handing you a £20 note just to show your face in fortress Goodison. A competition should be run by the echo called guess the crowd. Neil Bennett. (16/09/05) I
was looking forward to this one for a while. UEFA cup away leg, get a
nice draw or maybe an advantage to take back to Goodison. First half went
well, I was actually watching relaxed on the sofa as we controlled the
game even feeling a little hard done by at half time, but hey, it was
1-1 and we looked good for at least a draw. Earn Your Money I
work with autistic people, because of the nature of my job I cannot get
to as many games as I would like. In a perfect world I would be a season
ticket holder, I live and breathe EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB. I paid £60
for this season's shirt (including extras) buying it direct so as the
club would benefit. I subscribe to the Evertonian. What Do You Think? Have your say! e-mail info@bluekipper.com |
