THEY THINK ITS ALL OVER WELL IT IS NOW All last seasons hard work down the drain and only a few games into the season, why did he not buy a pacey striker who can nick his fare share of goals big dunc's legs have gone me bird would mark biffa out of the game and Benty could not trap a bag of cement Young vaughn looks an excellent prospect, and when back from injury must be given more games or he will get fed up keeping the bench warm and want off just like dickhead the fat manc .In midfield we need another play maker because we have never replaced tommy and at the back joey is doing three jobs he is covering everyone most of all davy weir who would not win a race against Fern Britten, thank christ for nige at the back. Peter O'Halloran. (19/09/05) Current Situation After watching that terrible second half display and the attitude of the players on the pitch, I feel that Bill Kenwright, the board, David Moyes has let the fans down badly by not buying quality players, particularly a striker. Questions need to be asked why Moyes can only attract average players or injured that nobody else seems to want. I feel embarrassed that we were fourth last year and cannot get quality players to sign. The players need to have a good look at themselves as well as the board. After the excitement of last season, so far Everton have bored me. If it continues, not only will be struggling near the bottom of the league but the fans will be voting with their feet. Moyes does not seem to be able to motivate and attract top class players. Do something before it is too late, the fans do not deserve this humiliation. Patricia Rimmer. (19/09/05) It's Only Half-Time As a life long Evertonian of 38 years young I can honestly say that performance was SHITE. It makes it ten times worse seeing them bastards across the park looking relaxed in Europe. I've seen some shite performances in my time (who hasn't) but that was poor. STILL it is still only half time , miracles do happen let's hope for one, because after all, win lose or draw are blood is still blue. Blue4efc. (19/09/05) You avin a laf!!?? OK,
before i start, i'm as completely gutted and ultimately disgusted by yesterday's
performance. I don't normally write in to these things, but i couldn't
see such bullshit published about my club and do nothing. The transfer
market's Sam Dingle? You might have given Moyes credit for Tim Bucharest Debacle! This European dream actually ended before it begun. Within days of last season finishing a promising signing, Simon Davies (although so disappointing no criticism here, I would have signed him). Then days upon days, weeks upon weeks of inactivity and broken deals. A squad so thin last season was reduced further by end of deal departures. Perhaps ten players were needed. This was not an exaggerated figure, we NEEDED about ten players! Unfortunately, with the exception of Phil Neville we were presented with our normal flurry of panic signings close to deadline time. Everton FC have missed the opportunity this summer to set the club up for the next decade or so. Finances in place for once and the attraction of Champions League Football, all wasted! Everton's epitaph could well be summed up in Sinatras well known lyrics "Regrets, I've had a few"....... Ormie. (19/09/05) David Moyes I think david moyes should be sacked. why?? Cos he can't sign anyone. We needed a striker no one came, he let Gravesen go and didn't replace him. Since he left we only won 5 games not good enough. The only reason we finished 4th is the rest of the league was shite. He has no idea of how to manage a big club like ours. Go now b4 its too late.Brian Lea. (19/09/05) Thanks, Blues After witnessing that performance in Romania, I'd just like to thank those so-called 'footballers' for making my family a little richer. It's my son's birthday on September 29th and he's expecting a birthday treat - I'll be taking him to the cinema! Very Disillusioned Blue. Sue. (19/09/05) Distraught I like every single Everton fan was completely distraught last night and I like every single Everton fan swear by the saying 'once a blue always a blue'. We were all hurt and devastated last night but today is another day. We as Everton fans can get over this hurt. If the sh**e can score 3 goals in 45 minutes then we can score 4 in 90 minutes? A 40,000+ crowd in Goodison, from the second that whistle blows cheering on the team we love then anything is possible. Dinamo Bucharest won’t know what has hit them. What have we got to loose? Our pride? That went last night. We can win this game with the crowd right behind the players. We have to win this game. We deserve to win this game. Now lets all start believing it. Now let’s get our heads up high and all turn out in Goodison a week Thursday and sing our hearts out for the club we will all love. COME ON THE BLUES. Vicky. (19/09/05) EURO SHAMBLES IT SILL HASN'T SUNK IN. HOW DID WE LOSE 5-1 TO A TEAM AS ORDINARY AS THEM ? ALL THE USUAL EURO AWAY LEG STRATEGY WAS BEING SPOUTED, " IT WILL BE TIGHT, THEY ARE A GOOD SIDE AT HOME. LETS SEE IF WE CAN PINCH AN AWAY GOAL" WE PICK A DEFENCE BASED TEAM : 4 - 5 - 1 . IT'S LOOKING GOOD SO FAR. CUE THE MATCH, FIRST 45 THERE NOT GREAT, WE'RE A LITTLE BETTER . HALF - TIME 1-1 SECOND HALF ALL WE HAD TO DO WAS DEFEND AND SEE THE GAME OUT, AT THE WORST IT COULD ONLY BE A 2-1 DEFEAT. THE
KEY WORD IN ALL THIS IS "DEFEND". WE
JUST DIDN'T DO IT IN THE SECOND HALF. OUR MIDFIELD 5 CONTINUALLY GOT CAUGHT
ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE BALL, THIS IN TURN EXPOSED OUR DEFENCE. DAVY
WEIR, GOOD SERVANT TO THIS CLUB THAT HE IS, WAS CENTRAL TO OUR UNDOING.
BECAUSE HE ISN'T THE FASTEST OF CENTRE BACKS WE DEFENDED FAR TOO DEEP
IN OUR OWN HALF. I SUSPECT THAT HIS LACK OF PACE AND HAVING TO KEEP A
CLOSE EYE ON JOEY AND HIBBO WAS THE REASONING BEHIND THIS TACTIC. AS CAPTAIN
AND AN EXPERIENCED DEFENDER IT IS HIS JOB TO DICTATE THE OVERALL SHAPE
OF THE TEAM DEFENSIVELY. BY DEFENDING SO DEEP THIS ENABLED THE OPPOSITION
PLENTY OF TIME AND SPACE TO EXPLOIT OUR WEAKNESSES, WHEN OUR MIDFIELD
HAD GONE A.W.O.L. CHASING A SECOND IF WE HAD DEFENDED HIGHER UP THE PITCH WE WOULD HAVE CONCENTRATED MOST OF THE PLAY IN THEIR HALF,IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A SCRAPPY CONGESTED GAME WITH FEW CHANCES FOR EITHER SIDE. THE MIDFIELD HAVE TO SHOULDER A LARGE AMOUNT OF BLAME IN ALL THIS, THEY DID NOT DEFEND, ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS TO KEEP BEHIND THE BALL MAKE A FEW TACKLES AND WIN THE ODD FREE KICK SO WE COULD PUT PRESSURE ON THEIR DODGY DEFENCE AT SET - PIECES. i.e OUR GOAL. IF WE HAD STUCK TO THIS RATHER PREDICTABLE GAME PLAN WE WOULD ALL BE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SECOND LEG WITH AN AIR OF CONFIDENCE INSTEAD WE ARE KEEPING OUR HEADS DOWN AND HURTING INSIDE. I SHOULD KNOW BY NOW AS SURE AS SOON AS THINGS START TO LOOK GOOD ON BOARD H.M.S. EVERTON THE JAGGED ROCKS ARE JUST BELOW THE SURFACE. MICKY P. (19/09/05) Give Ferrari A Chance I think it is true that Everton lack that goal scorer up front but, Everton did not buy one so why go over it! We need to swap things around at the back as the defence isn’t coping. David Weir this season has been beaten way to easily, Nuno Valente gets caught out of position a lot and hibbert is scared to go past the halfway line! As a mad Everton fan with a season ticket I was amazed when Everton went through a whole hour of the game against Portsmouth without a song! Although Everton aren’t playing well us, the fans need to get behind them like last year and start singing. Whats happened to Ferrari, how come he hasn’t been given a chance? He certainly needs to change things at the back. Tim Coates. (19/09/05) Euro hash!!! The result last night was one of the lowest points as a blues fan, embarrassed is not the word. The club subjects us to ticket fiascos, poor ground facilities, (after last night) humiliation on the pitch and still expects us to fork out hard earned money for merchandise and yet more new kits after barely having time to wear the last one. We are the best fans in the country and we will always be there, whatever. We deserve nothing but the best and it's about time they started to deliver both on and off the pitch. Scott, Cumbria. (19/09/05) Inept AFTER WATCHING LAST NIGHTS INEPT PERFORMANCE, BY THE TEAM THAT IS SUPPOSED TO TAKE US FORWARD, IS IT TIME THE MANAGER TOOK STOCK OF WHAT THE FUTURE LIES AHEAD FOR THE MAJORITY OF THEM SO CALLED FOOTBALLERS, AND REALISED THAT THEY ARE JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR EVERTON, NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR A GOOD CHAMPIONSHIP SIDE AND DISPOSED OF THEM. IF HE CANT DO THIS,MAYBE THE JOB OF BRINGING STABILITY,QUALITY AND HONOUR TO OUR CLUB IS BEYOND HIM AND HE SHOULD DO THE RIGHT THING AND LEAVE, BEFORE THE FANS OF THE PEOPLES CLUB TURN WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGAINST HIM. I KNOW THIS IS HARSH, BUT I AM DISGUSTED IN THE TEAM AND THE MANAGEMENT AT THE MOMENT, AND JUDGING BY ARE RECENT RUN OF RESULTS, COUPLED WITH THE END OF LAST SEASONS RESULTS, THERE IS ONLY GOING TO BE ONE OUTCOME.! RELEGATION DOGFIGHT! I AM OPEN TO CRITICISM ON MY OPINION, BUT I AM VERY ANGRY AT THE MOMENT. THANK YOU. DEAN, PARKEND BLUE. (19/09/05) Everton's UEFA Vanquishment After
watching Everton's vanquishment last night in Europe, I had to face a
extravagant number of nonsensical Liverpool fans just one day later. I'm
sure many other people have received the Everton Newsletter via Email
today which is one day late (typical.) The Email is supposedly direct
from Davie and he says "They won the game 6-0 and showed they are
a good side, so we are going to have to go there and defend very well."
I don't understand how we can get beat 5 - 1 and play defensively, I think
the constant pressure on Tony Hibbert I'm
afraid we will always struggle against pace this season . Last night showed
as well as the last 12 or 13games {inclusive of last two games of Embarrassed I feel utterly ashamed of Everton's performance last night as I was when we got hammered at manchester city, arsenal under 21s and arsenal full team. I have never really been a massive fan of Tony Hibbert but he showed last night that he is only a decent sunday league player. People say he cant cross a ball, not very good in the air and not the best passer of a ball. So, WHAT EXACTLY CAN HE DO?! Roll on Arsenal for another embarrassing night. From Distraught Gwladys Street season ticket holder, Margaret. (19/09/05) Transylvanian Vampires Last night in the land of Vampires I witnessed a bunch of blood suckers, sucking the life out of my beloved club. They weren't the black cloak, fanged kind, they were the £20,000 a week privileged kind. The kind who if they showed a fraction of the passion shown by the fans would have dispatched, what in the first half looked like a decidedly average Romanian outfit. I think Dinamo performed above what was expected of them, but who wouldn't against an Everton side who were beginning to believe their own hype, who thought that finishing fourth last season meant that everything was theirs by right. My 30 year love affair with Everton is over (well at least we are on a trial separation). I, like many others standing in an almost third world airport at 2am in the morning, could not come up with any more words to explain what we had just witnessed. After the match however it was a different story and to my shame I must admit to being the one who started the "Your not fit to ware the Shirt" chant, but on the evidence we had seen I think I was spot on. MISMANAGED from the top to the bottom. On the Board, in the Press Office, in the ticket office, in the transfer market and now on the field. Someone needs to start doing something because another 14 defeats out of 20 will put us in the Championship!!!!! Stuart Carlson. (19/09/05) Bucharest - The Better Team I
was a bit unsure before the game started, the first half was a decent,
if not great performance by the lads. At half time I was quite confident
that we could at least get a draw out this game. Bucharest looked an average
side that we could roll over and get a result. The second half was a display
of the bad old days of Everton football club. We all know that we need
a striker. once the ball gets into the opponents area there is no ball
to play, no one is making the runs or looking for the ball. In all it
was shocking to watch. This Season's Problem This year our problem lies in midfield, Kilbane has never been good enough to pull on a blue shirt in fact he is utter shite, along with him it looks like we bought the wrong Davies in Simon as I can't recall him doing anything good at all since we have signed him can anybody else? as these two between them constantly give the ball away it sets extra pressure on the defence who eventually crack like they did in Rumania. Our transfer negotiating team must be the worst on the planet after disposing of Rooney and Gravesen for a big mac and a fillet of fish we are now intent on paying top dollar for everyone else's cast off's, Harry (I want an answer by monday) Redknap must still be pissing himself after we bought that fucking useless slob beattie who hasn't been fit for over a year, a long time for a professional footballer. The only way forward would be to hire our own ruthless professional negotiator and don't tell me after the dealings we have had we don't know any. Chris Simpson. (19/09/05) To All Idiots Just one message for all the idiots out there calling for Moyes to be sacked. Were you saying this last season? I think not, I'm not sayin i don't think we're shite this season so far because that would be a lie but Darren Hyland sayin that Everton have died....Everton fc will never die. Get a grip. We have lost a few games. Idiots suggesting that Moyes should be sacked and that we have died are what brings us down. Iif we all made as much effort getting behind the team during games as we do moaning something might happen e.g pompey game no atmosphere.Nathan Ball (still proud evertonian) (19/09/05) Post 5-1 defeat I
got up early this morning, like many Evertonians, excited to see the result
from Bucharest. I couldn't believe it 5-1. I was upset and disappointed,
I had been so upbeat after last season and now it seemed to be all falling
apart, weak, without a fight. I thought some more on it all though, I
went to my wardrobe pulled on my Everton shirt and proudly went out for
the day, for they are my team, the team I have been happy to support for
thirty years, if I lose faith and stop believing then I have nothing in
football, you support your team through the best time and the worst and
that is what makes you a supporter, that is what makes you an Evertonian. Embarrassed Evertonian Everton are totally f***** s**** and I’m a very embarrassed Evertonian. We got f***** humiliated by a poor side. I honestly think David Moyes has lost the plot. He can’t even make a sub when things are not going our way in matches. We where lucky last season scraping one nil’s and playing s*** football. SOMETHING HAS GOT TO CHANGE!!!!! Mark Watkinson. (19/09/05) skies really are grey We have made a complete tit of ourselves in europe. The need for a striker is obvious yet what do we do? Questions need to be asked I'm afraid, more chance of my nan scoring than anyone else. We are no threat up front so we won't win games. Half the squad injured. What a season this is gona be. We the fans deserve better. Oak. (19/09/05) Speechless I thought after last night I would have a lot to say but ??????? From a very BLUE, Bluenose Bimbo. (19/09/05) Uefa Cup WHAT A PILE OF SHITE!! LOOKS LIKE WE WERE HAVING A LAUGH AFTER ALL. THANK FUCK WE WEREN'T PLAYING ANYONE DECENT...IT WOULD HAVE BEEN 10-1 !. SORRY TO SAY IT BOYS BUT IT'S TIME TO GO FOR BENT, KILBANE, MCFADDEN, WEIR AND OSMAN. WHAT THE FUCK HAS HAPPENED OVER THE SUMMER TO THESE PLAYERS?..OH YES NOW I REMEMBER,THEY HAVE ALL SECURED NICE JUICY CONTRACTS SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE ARSED FOR A FEW YEARS NOW. WELL YES YOU FUCKING DO. YOU WERE AN EMBARASSMENT TO EVERTON LAST NIGHT AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. LOOKING FORWARD TO MONDAY NIGHT? NO ME NEITHER. DAVE VIV. (19/09/05) Disgraceful Performance Yet again the proud name of Everton football club is put through the mud, the second half performance was an absolute disgrace is it just every person i speak to or is it just Moyes who knows Tim Cahill needs leaving out and rested the tactics we seem to play are none existent we lack pace and creativity and we've performed woeful since last christmas, everybody new we needed a striker who was quick and can score goals i.e. robbie keane/benni McCarthy instead of the joke that james beattie really is, we could of bought strikers for a less than a quarter of the price we paid 4 beattie i.e. vassel/cole and even david connelly who has a lot more about him than beatttie, they should be giving the tickets away for the second leg as we cant win 1-0 never mind 4-0.come on moyes be brave and say it you've made to many errors in the transfer market. alla wright 4.5m beattie 6m etc. Michael Burns. (19/09/05) Debacle David
Moyes had better stop feeling sorry for himself and start getting down
to basics with the pale imitation of the Everton team we all admired Moyes, needs to start showing major leadership qualities, that are needed to give his team some focus and drive. If he doesn't demonstrate these qualities or feels "too low" to do what is needed then he should consider whether he is the man to take this club on from the promise of last season. His comments are a smack in the teeth for the fans who week in and week out travel the length and breadth of the country and Europe to support this team of underachievers. So, no more "lowest ebb", no more "I don't think I've felt lower than I do now" and no more " we were hopeful of a good result". What we want to see is some grit and determination, some full, blooded and whole hearted performances and stop all this woe is me talk. Dogs of War................that's what, we the fans want to see and see it very quickly...........Monday @ Highbury would be a nice start. Pablo Forester (Blue since 62). (19/09/05) European Humiliation Just thought I would add my thought and feelings to the disgrace I witnessed last nite. Sitting in work and I can't get the feeling of dread out of the pit of my stomach, it doesn't help havin smug red s*ites buzzin their t*ts off about the blues capitulation lastnite. Here we go for starters Tony Hibbert has never been a footballer, he can't pass he can't cross, and the only reason he can tackle is because he has so much practice because his first touch is so bad his second touch has to be a tackle, terrible full back and the only reason he has got away with for so long is because he came through the ranks and didn't s*it all over us like the fat kid did. I think Moyes is still the man for the job not like all the idiots who call the phone in and are asking for him to be sacked, most of these don't even go the game and get their info from Radio Merseyside (enough said). I just hope he doesn't live to regret not buying the striker he knew we needed, even last season we were crying out for a goal scorer, he bought Beattie but the jury is still defo out on him and also he needs a striker to go with him. I think Van de Meyde will be quality but as usual with any Everton transfer there is complications ie injury and we wont see him until Santa is doing the rounds (probably). The performance last nite was terrible to say the least, the defence is a joke only Yobo looked interested and the midfield was terrible Davies and Cahill look totally knackered, the least said the better about Mcfadden. Phil Neville has so far in most quarters has had rave reviews, but I don't see it I know its only early days for the lad but he gives the ball away so often I cant understand why no one has noticed this. I know this all sounds doom and gloom and only a couple of months ago people were on a high after 4th and all that but everybody needs a wake up call that has gone now, I hope to god he can turn it around and get us back on the level. The players need the biggest wake up call ok you finished 4th so what, you treated Portsmouth and Dynamo the last two games like you were superior and that we would walk them, and in both we got turned over. I've had enough and so have you reading this rant probably, here's to a the greatest European turn around in history role on the 29th. St Domingo. (19/09/05) 4-5-1 We finished fourth last season and no-one can take that away from Moyes and the players but even then, how many matches were entertaining and free flowing? I attended the Fulham away match 2 weeks (living in London don't get to Goodison much now) and the excitement levels were none existent. I was actually BORED watching Everton Football Club. That is 7 defeats from 8 and the Bolton win we got hammered from pillar to post. I now refuse to pay £30 to watch the dross of 4-5-1, 4-1-4-1 or any other pathetic formation that sends the crowd to sleep. Regarding the players, McFadden is awful, Bent has had enough and who can blame him, Hibbert's distribution is that of a League 1 player, Osman has been found out by the opposition, Valente makes Pistone look like Maldini, Yobo is still too erratic 3 years after purchasing him and Ferguson is finished. A flat 4 across midfield is killing Everton and killing football. Chris Fennell. (19/09/05) Over Reaction Maybe Darren Hyland should play for Everton as he seems to show about as much grit and determination for the blue cause as those players who embarrassed us all in last nights second half. Yes, it was embarrassing and yes this season hasn't started well (an understatement, granted). But if we all disown the team every time they lose - and lets remember that even thinking about european football this time last year would have been the biggest joke of all - then maybe they should think about jumping on another bandwagon. Everton became a laughing stock for one night, but the lessons will make us a stronger club. Now, maybe ferrari can translate that latin motto of ours for the whole squad and we can remember how to win football matches again! Ben. (19/09/05) Uefa Today
I am embarrassed to call myself a Evertonian We will do It for the fans (WHATEVER). Last night I was embarrassed to say that i was an Evertonian, I heard one quote which totally summed up what the majority of Everton players are "Overpaid Binmen". Once Dinamo had slotted the fifth the prospect of supporting Tranmere became so much more desirable, I think that i speak on behalf of all Evertonians around the world that come two weeks time when the eleven players selected to face dinamo in the second leg grace the goodison turf they need to show the same fight, commitment, effort, & most of all pride which Celtic had when they nearly overturned a five goal deficit. COME ON BOYS, DO IT 4 US FANS!!! Paul Major. (19/09/05) Sunday League Stuff I Think the current title page on the clubs web site says it all SUNDAY LEAGUE. What’s happened to the team that finished 4th 4 months ago? I’m hearing a lot of fans moaning about Moyes and questioning the man, If he was manager of the year last term then nothing has changed, Its time to get behind him and the players. Come blues show the faith 4 nil at home, lets face it stranger things have happened this year! The shite won some cup in Turkey. Neil. (19/09/05) Bucharest Fiasco I see that on the official website that grounded fans are getting their money back!! After the (to be honest) shite performance in the second half I think the travelling faithful should be given their fares back also. Steve. Another Humiliated Evertonian. (19/09/05) WAKE ME FROM THIS NIGHTMARE Please wake me from this fucking nightmare, have i taken drugs or something, what the fuck is going on?? Last night I sat excitedly at 7pm, thinking we will do well against this lot, 7am this morning I am hoping it was a nightmare, but no, the Blue kipper site puts me well and truly right, we were whacked, thrashed, ass whipped what fucking ever, we were shite. There is more chance of peace in the middle east, the arabs and jews becoming 1 and Tony Blair shagging maggie thatcher than Everton scoring more than 1 goal, so fucking 4, your aving a laff. Where did it go wrong?? Where is our fucking striker we were linked with, oh I know, lets go for Owen and Kuyt, get knocked back and go for fuck all, knowing that we have. Beattie, a complete fucking waste of money, useless piece of shite, the fastest he has moved in an Everton shirt was when he limped off against Man ure. Bent - tries hard but fuck all else Fergson, ooh, what tactic should we launch here?? Vaughan - too promising, he may actually do something and then we will sell him to Man ure. For fucks sake someone get a grip. 5 - 1 against Dinamo Bucharest so what against Arsenal, probably better than the 7 -0 they did at the end of our " excellent" season. Chris Perry. (19/09/05) Reaction Is
Moyes and Weir in cloud cookoo? The first half us and Dinamo last night
were piss poor. They stepped it up a couple of gears and had several players
running with the ball with PACE!!! Torn apart the team , my heart as with
all the rest of us over here in Bucharest! What Do You Think? Have your say! e-mail info@bluekipper.com |
