Well
earned point at manure. Valente, Neville, Davies, Weir and Dickie Wright
and were awesome. Those who ever questioned Moyes should be ashamed as
he's the best thing that's happened to us in for ages. The squad could
do with a few new faces though with Robbie Keane and Dean Ashton, surely
our top priorities, while Dave Nugent and Theo Walcott could be other
alternatives. Bent, Tie, Naysmith, Pistone and Carsley should be shown
the door as they aren't fit to wear the shirt. Another few wins and we
could be looking at Europe again! great site. Wayne Rooney, how do you sleep? In the national press today, Phil Neville is quoted as saying the following about the reaction that the Manchester United crowd gave him on Sunday: “I got a great reception from the fans, who know I am one of them and that I always will be at heart”. I don’t hold this against Phil Neville. He is an honest professional sportsman, and as long as he is giving his best for the club (and to be fair, he is) then I can live with the fact that it is just a job for him - not a vocation. Football invokes powerful emotions for fans and players alike, and footballers are not robots. Neville is clearly red through and through, and as long as he is earning his money for the blues then who cares? Compare this with that bloated buffoon Wayne Rooney…. Obviously the guy gets a great deal of abuse from Everton fans, but surely he expects that for the way he jumped ship. How can you reconcile the photos of Rooney as a boy, proudly wearing his ‘Once a blue, always a blue’ shirt with the snarling oaf who stood goading the Everton fans on Sunday after the United goal ? At Goodison earlier this season, we had to endure Rooney screaming like a banshee in celebration of a goal he had scored against his former idols. Where does that come from ? Surely you can’t just turn it on and off. Unlike Phil Neville, he is not ‘one of them’. Surely all the money that has been thrown at him cannot have blinded him to what he once was, or deafened him to the anti-Scouse songs that the United crowd love to sing. What really goes through his mind when he hears the Stretford End sing about Gary Neville hating Scousers ? What does his family think about him - or does money help you forget ? In fifteen or so years when his career is over, which team’s results will be the first one he looks for ? Who will his children support ? This week my son asked me if he could throw away the autographed photo of Rooney in his Everton kit that used to have pride of place on his bedroom wall. I would love to have said yes, but couldn’t. Wayne Rooney, how do you sleep? Steve Smith. Culcheth. (14/12/05) It's Easy GREAT Result Sunday ( Beattie missed another sitter though ). I've had a look at the table and I have worked it out that all we have to do is beat the Hammers on Wednesday and Bolton on Saturday. Then all we need is for Villa, Boro Newcastle, Blackburn, Charlton and West ham all to lose. AND THEN WE GO 12TH. It's easy! Sean Whelan. (14/12/05) Manure fans(?) Had the misfortune to sit amongst the crying Manure supporters on Sunday. I was invited by a work mate of mine who happens to be a Man U supporter who had a spare season ticket. So it would have been rude to refuse the offer. Read on and you will appreciate why I am so glad I took him up on his invitation. Anyway, I sat with them all biting on my tongue when the early chance went begging. Then doesn't Jimmy Mac go and bullet one in at the near post. Call me nuts but you just have to celebrate when we score them like that. Fortunately for me I'm fairly big and there were a few other Blues sitting close by so we didn't get any bother. Apart from, that is, an old tart sitting behind me who started moaning to her old mate. So I turned round to see what was up to be greeted by a sight that will stay with me forever. She was wearing a massive fur coat, a fur hat and huge fur gloves. I thought I was sitting in front of Bungle from Rainbow. Anyway, Giggs equalisess for them and she decides to clap these massive gloves as close to my head as can without actually touching me which made me laugh so much I nearly pissed myself. When she realised the reaction she was getting had had the opposite effect to what she was hoping to achieve I swear there was steam coming out of her ears. Every time we attacked, which we did on several occasions, I could hear the old dear whimpering to her mate. If we'd scored the winner I not sure what she have done. God bless her. Of course she joined in with the rest of them when the booing started at the final whistle went. What A disgrace. Love it when they they start singing about hating Scousers, then in the same breath they start singing about Rooney, brings on a chuckle every time. Just wanted to share that with you all. By the way, the Everton supporters were brilliant as usual. Eddieparkend. COYB. (14/12/05) Good Bet For FA Cup We have seen Moyes get better each week, now you gonna believe us, maybe not this season. We are on our way to wembley maybe? We have seen the light. This man never fails to amaze me. The fools who said he was a false prophet. Now you gonna believe us, nothing is to much for this manager. Kenwright you have found a gold mine. Do not let anyone claim him. You know we need him. The best signing yet COYB. John Lea. (14/12/05) Dickie Wright Well done lads. Great result at Manure today. I thought we were going struggle a bit with both Arteta and Cahill missing in midfield. But the lads that came in did a grand job. Biggest surprise of the day for me was Dickie Wright's performance as stand in for Nige. He made some excellent saves, kept hold of crosses he came out for and looked full of confidence. Great finish from a tight angle by Jimmy Mac. Let's keep it going against the Hammers on Wednesday. Eddieparkend. COYB. (12/12/05) Support Everton I
have watched the boys in blue for over 30 years. In that time we've had
Bingham, Lee, Kendall, Harvey, Walker, Royle, Smith and now Moyesy. 30
years ago finishing 4th was a complete failure. There were so many near
misses in those days it was a thin line a couple more away wins and things
could have meant being champions. Now finishing 4th is a massive success,
but why? there is no silver wear, just the financial reward. Chelsea,
does anyone want to be like them really? I don't. I think they are a joke.
MBE, his column spoke the facts and the truth and to me. All I want to
see is 11 players turn up and give 100% win, lose or draw. Obviously I
would love to win it all in style but life isn't like that. I support
Everton that's it. Last week MBE implied if you didn't agree with him you may as well fuck off to anfield and support the red shite. Well I'm just wondering if he has had to endure any friendly banter from the red shite recently maybe he has bought the 5 times baby cd to fucking drool over. I wish MBE would use his obvious talents for once to come out and tell the truth that we are shite and how the fuck are we gonna change things round. Today we played the worst manu side I've seen for a long time that any half decent team would have blown away and we hung on for a draw and let them off the hook. How does Kilbane still get a game? Is he shagging David Moyes or vice versa cause that useless cunt will give me a fucking heart attack one day. I wonder how that fits in with our motto: "Nil satis nisi optimum"? Chris Simpson. (12/12/05) Ramblings of which Nutter? I so very nearly could not be bothered to send in a response to John Andrews e-mail ‘Ramblings of a nutter’ simply because after reading it just exactly who is the nutter he is referring to? I think it must be himself. Get off the bandwagon and actually watch the games and try and see it from a footballing point of view. Jimmy Mac is 22. When we bought him from Motherwell everyone connected with the game in Scotland was saying he was the brightest young hope they had produced for years. The Moyesiah buys him. Yes Jimmy has not had the best of starts but now he just maybe finally coming into his own in a position that he has consistently stated he felt was his best. David Weir may well lack pace but the relationship he has now developed with the outstanding Yobo is becoming meaner and meaner even against no-neck Bellamy’s pace. I guess some people will never be satisfied and have made there minds up that Moyes has to go regardless of recent results ( Albion not counted ). Everyone is nervous at the moment and hoping the Moyesiah makes the next step towards greatness but asking for him to go now just makes you sound like you support the Red Shite. Check out again where Everton where when David Moyes took over. Re-read and check again his transfer dealings and the success he has had. Cahill buy of last season. Could Arteta be the buy of this season? In another 7 weeks time Moyes will have the chance to buy the striker he wants at the right price with the right wages. But hey you have already decided that that will be a terrible decision. Does that include Andy Johnson? If we can keep up the form and keep collecting the points the way we have recently the team will be in the top 10 with a new striker, our worst form out of the way and then a run through to the end of the season. Or we can all moan our heads off which then transfers to the players on the pitch which can mean poor results plus adding in demanding Moyes be sacked and then wallow in even more self pity when it all goes wrong again. Not for me. Come on you Blues. Blackburn top day out. Millwall away FA Cup – away fans North Stand – room for approx. 4000. Let’s fill it. See you at Old Trafford. The Park End – The Park End - The Park End. Paulie, a less nervous disciple of the Moyesiah. (12/10/05) Greetings to all in Playersville, all the shows that Steve White and I have done with Paul Weller since the last diary have all been great and we are looking forward to appearing with Paul for the rest of his UK shows. However the reason for this letter is to bring you some good/bad news. My wife and I were expecting our second child at the beginning of January. However after a recent visit to the hospital this has changed and because of complications that have arisen, we are now having our baby on the 19th December by Caesarean. The more perceptive of you will notice that this clashes with the Players mini tour which we have all been looking forward to. Over the last few days I have been trying to reconcile myself with missing the first few days of my child's life but have come to the difficult but perhaps obvious conclusion that the tour will have to be postponed. Steve White, Mick Talbot, and our Management agree with my decision so I would like to sincerely apologise for the disappointment this has caused. For the moment please keep hold of your tickets as these dates are NOT cancelled and will be added to the start of more extensive dates in the UK/Europe/Japan starting in early Spring 2006. We will update you of the situation as soon as possible over the next few days. So, wish me luck, raise a glass and til next time .....pace e amore. Now, where did I put those Everton romper suits.........? Damon Minchella. (10/12/05) Gary Naysmith Did Gary Naysmith's injury woes stem from the horror tackle from 'I HATE HIM' Steven Gerrard from Dec 2002? Might be true...JY ONG. (12/10/05) I
have just read the article
by MBE. It starts well by stating the bleeding obvious which is followed
by an examination of the psyche of Moyes finally ending with the grand
statement that he is willing to bet that Moyes is a better member of the
human race than whoever may replace him. Absolutely stunning! Super Kev Sorry John Lea (see below) but I thought super Kevin Campbell has already been our first black captain?? Brian Lancaster. (06/12/05) Guess Who's A Blue Listening to the Chris Moyles show yesterday with his guest 50 Cent. Moyles and his team offered Fiddy a choice of football shirts - his Leeds Utd or Dominic's Everton shirt. Of course Fiddy went for the quality choice and picked up our beloved blues shirt - 'cos blue was the best colour. Whatta man. Natalie Jenkins. (01/12/05) Yobo For Captain The man a wonderful future captain? The first black to captain Everton. Wonderful athlete, that would open the eyes of a few of the bigots Ha Ha. We dare you Moyesy. COYB. John Lea. (01/12/05) MBE Never
before have I felt passionate enough to write into anything until reading
the comments made by your own Mickey Blue
Eyes. Never a truer word has ever been said about the current situation
with David Moyes. it is refreshing to hear somebody stick up for this
man and give the man credit where credit is rightly due. Cahill Shearer & Babayaro I have just read that the F A favourite son a Mr A Shearer will not be charged for a blatant elbow on Davie Weir because as they say the referee saw the elbow and because he saw it they can not bring a charge, So why is Tiny Tim and Babayaro getting charged the ref seen that to because he spoke to them is this another case of F A cock ups or don't they just like foreigners I will be interested in your opinion, and please keep up this great site. It's Brilliant. Leslie Mckay. (01/12/05) Lee Trundle We are supposed to be building for the future so why should we want to buy a 29 yr old from a lower league. Do not buy Trundle! If Everton are looking for a player for the next few years Danny Schofield(midfielder) from Huddersfield is worth taking a look at..............so if there are any Everton scouts reading bluekipper..........go and take a look! Given the fact that we are now playing more positive football, with wingers getting crosses in..... Dean Ashton would do a job for us, and why not buy Robbie Keane as well! Mal Trueblue(but not holdings)! (01/12/05) *
Nice to see you back MBE, and a
great article, well worth the wait!! (and I don't care if it is a
World Cup year - COYB!!!!) Rich
Welsh Blues. (01/12/05) * Sorry M.B.E. but you must be on some sort of sentiment inducing fucking drugs if you think anybody is going to be taken in by your latest offering. Facts are we are shite at the moment and someone must be held accountable now while there is still time to turn things round. Moyes should either buck his fucking ideas up or fuck off. Chris Simpson. (01/12/05)
* Welcome back from wherever you have been. I have missed your always interesting articles. Stuart Murphy. (01/12/05) * Congratulations to Mickey on his latest sermon. David Moyes himself should be given a copy to pore over because it encapsulates what we all feel for David Moyes as Evertonians if only 95% of us could put it into words. No worries, Mickey has done it for us. A full and accurate analysis of where we are, and of the possible fates which await us as God and David Moyes determine whether we strengthen or weaken in the maelstorm of 2005/2006. Gerallt Jones. (01/12/05) * Brilliant, Mickey! Great to see you in print again. I've missed you. I hope you can do articles more regularly again. Regards, Jim Cooper. (01/12/05) * Thanks for writing such a good article. I agree with nearly all of what you said. I think David moyes is a good manager who will learn from both his media driven failings in the transfer market. We saw two of them on Sunday. Do you think he was wrong? Also Forrsell has hardly set the world alight and all Celtic fans love his loyalty. All the best. Mark. (01/12/05) Best, Kilbane, Shearer Well done to all for the minutes applause for George Best but the booing for Kilbane was a disgrace, shame on you all, you were probably the same ones who applauded Shearer, so what if it is his last game at Goodison what was the announcer thinking of, this player has caused us nothing but trouble in the past and I don't mean his goals I mean his gamesmanship, and once again he didn't let us down did he, with his elbowing of Weir, what if that elbow had belonged to Big Dunc? Ye early bath say no more. Anyway that's off my chest, well done boys for an excellent performance long may it continue with Beats, Arteta and McFadden having their best games in a blue shirt, i admit that i have doubted Moyes but am more than happy to be proved wrong, well done boss. SI WIGAN. (01/12/05) Thank God for That A
well earned 3 points against Newcastle. Everton played very well and hounded
them and got into them. Which is all I ever ask from any Everton Team.
It's when i see performances like last week that just makes me fume. Perhaps
it's a bit early to say this But does anyone think that WBA could be the
best thing that could have happened to us? What Do You Think? Have your say! e-mail info@bluekipper.com |
