I am not going to go on about my dislike of Moyes! Everyone who knows me knows how I feel on that front!!! If the derby has taught us anything it is how far away from the shite we really are!!! Any real Evertonian will tell you that last season was as much about how they never took their chances as it was about our start to the season! I said it before but Norwich won more games than us from January and went down! We need to strengthen is so many areas, Firstly we need two keepers! Dickie has got to go! Did we really pay that much for him? and Big Nige seems finished. We need central defenders!!! Weir is woeful, and while Stubbs has done well my nan is quicker than him, and she is dead!! I got a horrible feeling Arteta is on his way, I really hope I am wrong, but you think we miss Gravesen we could not replace Mikky!! We need more power and skill in the middle, Leon is great but not the answer and Cahill, although scoring again needs to get more involved! Finally up front!! We need a quality goalscorer to partner Beats!! MCFADDEN IS NOT THE ANSWER!!!!!!!! I will finish where I said I wasn't gonna go!!!! Does anyone trust ginge to make the buys we need????? Neither do I.....!! Matt (season ticket holder, Lower Gwladys). (27/03/06) The Derby Thank fuck we have somewhere to sound off. My thoughts mean bluekipper boys give us that chance. You are doing all Evertonians a great service to say in print what a defeat by the reds does to our frame of mind. Loosing to any team is bad enough but seeing their smug gobs on a monday morning. But watching the game, seeing the players who were missing. As a reality check we played without the main force. The Blues are goner be alright. Moyes put out players who he wanted to see perform under pressure hopefully he got all the answers he needed. I did. COYB. John Lea. (27/03/06) Everton Fans - Best In Football How's
it going lads just want to start by thanking ye for a great site. It keeps
me going every morning when I log on. I was over at the Villa game G14 For all of the Blues fans that like to keep their fingers on the pulse of football as a whole, not just our beloved Club, I've just read an interesting article in the sports section of the Times (Wed 22nd March). Written by Martin Samuel, it highlights the power of the so-called G14 clubs and their attempts to manipulate the rules to ensure these alleged 'big' clubs are protected in their quest to rake in every penny available from European competition.. He mentions their fear of being challenged by so called smaller clubs, which I think goes a long way to explain our own early expulsion from the Champions League and the rule bending that was so vigorously carried in the cause of one of the G14 members (I'll give you a clue it starts in Liver and ends in pool). The best piece in this article is Samuel's description of G14 as clubs that have no right to declare themselves as the elite. 'It is not be the voice of anybody who cares for football or the level playing field. It is the voice of lawyers, of faceless political manipulators, of shortsightedness and reckless self interest. Above all it is the voice of frightened little men. Frightened that they are not good enough. And on this, for once, they are right'. Thought it was worth a mention. COYB. Eddieparkend. (27/03/06) Bike My
Father in law recently came to me and told me that his missus (the mother
in law) had won a Liverpool bike in the bingo. Problem is they Dad.
I'm sorry Joe, but me and your sister are going home (To Liverpool) for
Uncle Jimmy's funeral at the weekend and you'll be staying home with mum. 'If you know your history'. Conversation between Joe (aged 7) and Dad. (Blues exiled in Brighton). (27/03/06) Mickey Blue Eyes Interviews Everton CEO Keith Wyness Excellent article. Kind regards, Steve Howorth. (27/03/06) Keith Wyness interview with MBE How to turn an ailing club around. Let’s apply a new 21st century approach to business. Carry on Milking the cow! Put prices up on absolutely everything; screw the pensioners and juniors after all they are only the past and future of the club. Introduce 3 kits a year; usually leave the launch as late as possible. They are value for money! Yes at sports soccer as they charge a tenner less than the club shop! And who can blame people for buying them there. The small matter of a 750,000 loss on merchandise! How the hell can that happen, have we got nobody at the club with retail experience? Buy high sell low appears to be the motto. My math isn’t great, I think it works out at 18,750 kits at 40 quid a pop being flushed down the toilet. First European games for Years. Treat them as an occasion to really show how much you think of the fans. Have a free for all at the ticket office!, fuck them all and hide behind excuses of Late cup draws, The shite from the other side of the park and Terrorism!! But make sure that all of the usual freeloaders get their tickets and don’t admit to making mistakes. When organising travel for European games do it in the cheapest, nastiest way possible and charge the fans through the nose for the privilege. Blame everyone else for a cock up that only could happen in a sitcom, ATP, Service air, Birmingham Airport, Sick pilots! Help another club Broker a bigger better deal with JJB than ours! Consultancy fee from that nice Mr Murray who still owes us on the Michael Ball deal? Success on the pitch (4th place) and transfer market (rooney) masks over the inadequacies of people running the club though they are quite happy to take credit for "steering the ship" in the right direction. Park ender. (27/03/06) Keith Wyness Thanks for a great read, some really good questions especially about agents and the rich clubs getting richer. Regards. John P. (27/03/06) Is Michael Ball playing for PSV could have sworn I just saw him on a Dutch footie show and if our illustrious manager would have given Jeffers a decent run like he has with McFadden we might have seen a return to the form that he had when he partnered Kevin Campbell. Can't wait to see who Moyes buys next. Another Simon Davies or the next Kroldrup. Them two have got to be worth £8million of anybody's money or he might even bring David Unsworth back. Chris Simpson. (27/03/06) A Few Points on The Wyness Interview. 1. I can't help but think that we will build a new stadium next to the new academy though (he gave enough clues). I'm not sure how good a move that would be? From that yearly football survey, of the 92 league clubs, Everton have the highest number of season ticket holders living within a short radius of the ground. This is not a well off area and with higher ticket prices at a new stadium, plus travel costs, will our loyal, local season ticket numbers drop, a few bad seasons and we could be in deep trouble. Just a thought! 2. 3 new shirts every year, this one goes back a while, we were told that we would change the home kit for 3 seasons as we were getting special edition shirts, i.e. 100 years & 125 then the next shirt would last 2 years. This did not happen. We don't really need 3 kits, plus 2 or 3 GK kits, then however many random "Training kits", I give up and bought the retro shirt from the mid eighties, its a classic and will remain so. 3. Some grounds allow you to purchase a brick that helps to build the new stadium, you choose the inscription and it is a lasting item that you can show your family in 50 years time. A lot cheaper than a £1000 share, and I bet 30,000+ would be sold, if marketed at Christmas time as an ideal present! Still, the man knows how to get the most out of us and is turning things around. Marshall. (27/03/06) Wyness Interview What an arrogant man. It would have been decent of him to actually apologise for the Villarreal ticket fiasco. I have written to him regarding this matter and I received a Standard Letter in response. He has, obviously, improved our operational issues but there was plenty of scope in this area. A hard nosed businessman with little in common with Everton fans. Great site - keep up the good work. Chris Jones, GREASBY, Wirral. (27/03/06) About six months ago Biffa was suggesting that he was after the No9 Shirt which had been worn by some very special players in the past and I think the general feeling was that he would have to earn the right to wear that famous number. I reckon if he continues to play the way he has over the last 6mths then when the new squad numbers are announced before next season then he should be presented with the shirt and told to become a legend himself. John Crellin. (27/03/06) What has been bad about us? I've had to pinch myself as I haven't stopped laughing since Benfica won. On saturday we were giving Fulham a fucking good hiding and everything was fine then true to form Moyesy had to go and change the shape of the team by bringing on Kilbane and Davis who are both shite and this let fulham in with a goal and had he been foolish enough to bring them on earlier might have cost us a point. These two are what has been bad about us all season, Moyesy held his hands up over Kroldrup so why doesn't he fuck these two useless fuckers off then people might stop calling for his head. For all those people with rose tinted glasses yes we are out of all the cups and are mid table, so this is an improvement on what? Chris Simpson. (27/03/06) Congratulations to Perry & Clare Campbell on the arrival of a new Everton fan. A boy named Harry. Best Wishes from Jim & Friends. (26/03/06) Blueism? Just a quick note to all the doubters, Where are those fans that were calling for change at the boardroom and on the pitch? We are Everton, always have, always will. We don't have to have big money / big names to be proud, just to see some goals and some pride is more satisfying than the feeling man u fans get when they spend £30 million on a fat kid. Stop moaning, it's not our way. Top ten, UEFA cup who cares? we will still be Everton! Joe. (16/03/06) I Was Wrong Just thought I would write to acknowledge that I was wrong in calling for people to stand aside after the Bolton Game. I was bitterly disappointed after that result but the facts are we are not skint (we just haven´t got loads of money), we have got a manager who really cares about the club, and perhaps our board and chairman are as good as if not better than most. I was right about the players though, they have done us proud in the last couple of months and I can see that we can build on this. We have the makings of a really good squad. We have also got a midfield general with good players around him. We must hang on to Senor Arteta - surely he will be the captain of the club one day. I´ve done a lot of thinking about Everton since I read Joe 90´s article about a club called ¨Merseyside¨ - perish the thought - I hate globalisation. Following a football club is about being part of a tribe or a clan. What would our Fathers and Grandfathers think about that? We must never let it happen! Even though I am a long way a way I still feel ¨part of Everton Football Club¨. As Davey would say ¨long may it continue¨. One last thing - we must all believe that we (EFC) will be great again. If you think you can - you probably can. Come on the Blues!!! Cry Havoc! Laurie from OZ. (16/03/06) New Kit Regarding the new kit, Next season Umbro are looking to stop doing kits for clubs and just make England's kit. So we need a new kit maker, anyone got any ideas? Apparently the shite are going to Adidas next season, I think Nike. Graeme Stokes. (16/03/06) Fulham I
thought we were excellent against Fulham, admittedly against poor opposition.
I love the blues no matter how we play, but it was great so see us play
nice attacking football with lots of options going forward and a centre-forward
who held it up today ala Sharpie back in the day. No Need For Subs Fantastic performance from the starting 11 and a win to be proud of. Don't wish to moan like the shite after a great win but why did moyesiah make double substitution when the team was winning and gelling so well. Faddy himself looked puzzled when substituted and could of had a second goal. To bring on Kilbane and Davies for Nuno and Faddy who were excellent really puzzled me, and then the team almost fell apart and cost us the points. I never criticise Moyesy but that was a mistake and Dickie Wright would had a rare clean sheet. All of a sudden the left flank was exposed and the orrible fulham were allowed back in the game. But 3 points were had and our world class Spaniard (who moysie by the should be praised highly for signing and forgiven for the Kroldrup flop) was once again head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch in class, strength and distribution. GIVE MIKEL (and his tasty bird. have you seen her? ) FREEDOM OF THE CITY. Lee Arnold. (13/03/06) Keep It Realistic The next few games will tell us how many players we need. The season was not a waste. The improvement is slowly showing we are better than last year, some will disagree, that's opinions. The personnel has been improved. Next year we have youth in the back youth in midfield. Keep the faith. We have a crowd that supports Everton even if we have gone through a shit season. That's why next year my only hope is for steady improvement. Keep it realistic. COYB. John Lea. (13/03/06) Andy Hill - On The Road To Recovery MY NAME IS ANDY HILL, I DON’T KNOW WHETHER YOU REMEMBER BUT I WAS IN HOSPITAL IN APRIL/MAY WITH A BRAIN ANAURYSM/STROKE IN WALTON, PRESTON. THEN BACK HOME IN BLACKPOOL. I RECEIVED A VISIT IN BLACKPOOL FROM TWO OF YOUR LADS WHO KNEW MY MATE MARK JACKSON AND I WAS BROUGHT SIGNED BALLS, SHIRTS, PENNANTS, BOOKS AND A CLOCK. I CAN’T WAIT TO RECEIVE THE T-SHIRT TO BE WORN WITH PRIDE IN THE FACES OF MANY RED SHI*E AROUND BLACKPOOL THANKS AGAIN. ANDY HILL. (13/03/06) Neville and England HOW STRANGE THAT THE ENGLAND MANAGER PICKS PHIL FOR EVERY SQUAD EVEN THOUGH HE CANT GET IN THE MANURE TEAM BUT AS SOON AS HE JOINS US HE GETS DROPPED.EVEN THOUGH HE HIS A REGULAR FOR THE BLUES. NOW DONT GET ME WRONG, AS I COULDNT GIVE A FLYING FUCK FOR THE NATIONAL TEAM,BUT IT DOES SEEM THAT THE SWEDE IS ONLY PICKING PLAYERS FROM THE SO CALLED BIGGER TEAMS WHETHER THEY ARE PLAYING WELL OR NOT. THEN AGAIN HOW MUCH SENSE HAS THE DAFT TWAT GOT PICKING CROUCH? ( I BET THE BRAZILIANS ARE SHITTING THEMSELVES !! ) DONT BE SURPRISED IF A CERTAIN ROBBIE FOWLER GETS A LATE CALL UP. STEVE. PARKEND. (01/03/06) Strength and Depth The Newcastle game was a prime example of our lack of strength and depth in our squad! We had no way of changing things around! Once we went 1 down we had already lost! Have we come back and won this year? I don't think we have! While I thank Moyes for last season and what he has done for us, I really believe he has taken us as far as he can! We are ready for the next level now! The man has spent almost £50 million now most of which he has squandered, lets get shut now consolidate and build for next year, and fuck the intertoto right off!! Can I also thank Sander for his contribution today! He made it look convincing, but once a red twat always a red twat! (legal exceptions: Sheedy, Watson, Tablett, Beardsley etc) Matt (season ticket holder lower gwladys) (01/03/06) Newcastle Away Florida! what a fukin waste! After that performance take them to New Brighton when it is freezing as for Valente get rid of him. He is shite. Albert Levens. (01/03/06) Let Moyes Manage I am new to the site and have just read Chris Simpson's letter of 16/02/06. Bring back Ball and Jeffers he proclaims, what good business that would be! Ball has hardly played more than 3 games in a row because of injury since he left, and is injured again at the moment, and Chris you obviously didn’t catch any of the jug eared one’s appearances last time he came back! I have been eating large portions of humble pie for weeks now because of DMs re-signing of Alan Stubbs (thought it was a backward step and all that, made up I am not making the decisions!). Let Mr. Moyes manage the team, his overall record is good (name a manager since the Premiership started who has done better for us). The passion that the team has started to display should be so encouraging for all those of us watching, get behind them, each and every one. Yes the squad is small and the fitness of key men will probably determine where we finish, but wasn’t it that which made the squad so strong as a unit last year? The fact that we have been quoted as the 18th richest club in the world should also be looked at more closely as well. It doesn’t mean that we have suddenly found piles of cash in a kit basket at Bellefield that Mr. Moores left for us for a rainy day. The position of the clubs Balance Sheet, not its turnover, will have determined its place in that top 20, so there may not necessarily be a large transfer kitty to be used in the summer. Trust DM to invest what money is available, his signings have done well in the main, and put your support behind which ever 11 are on the pitch. How many times have you heard opposition managers praising the support and the atmosphere we can generate at Goodison? Do your bit and let DM and the players do theirs. Kev. (01/03/06) Rich Club Like
a few Evertonians who have bothered to email the Kipper I am sick and
tired of listening to criticism of the Board and David Moyes. We are lucky
enough to support a team that is well managed commercially and on the
field. What Do You Think? Have your say! e-mail info@bluekipper.com |
