Andy Johnson I
love him and want his kids. He has said the right thing, done the right
thing, and he, God willing, be the best thing to happen to this Club in
a long time. This will also show Moyes mettle now, make or break me thinks. Sack The Board - My Arse Maybe now we can stop whinging and start supporting. Some of you die hard supporters have done nothing but moan for seasons. Kenwright has stumped up some money and by the sounds of it there might be more. If you think last season was bad you should have been there in the late seventies and early eighties. With the great support we gave, the club pulled together and by the mid eighties we were probably the best in europe. When a player is on the pitch there is nothing more demoralising than thirty thousand moaning gets having a go at every slip up. I understand that everyone wants Everton to win every game that we play but it is going to take a bit longer to repair the damage done by Smith, Walker and Johnson. Next season lets really get behind the club and see what can happen. johnskibluenose. (01/06/06) Keep Them Coming Is this the start of bigger things, signing AJ great. The money bags of the board are listening to greatest fans of this great club. It's alot of money for andy, but what made me very happy was he wanted to play for one of the biggest names in British football. When you look at the squad now we need a big centre half, another full back, and one in the middle of the park, who can stand on the ball..... up the toffees. Amanda Gill. (01/06/06) AJ is Quality What a great signing for us. £8.6 million maybe a lot of money, but if you want quality then that is what you've got to pay for it, and AJ is quality. Hopefully now he can show the sort of form that can get him in the England squad ahead of kopite gobshite Peter ScareCrow Crouch. It's about time that we got a really good striker who will score 20 odd goals a season. From JOHN HAGEDORN. (01/06/06) Now Sign That Centre Half I
feel if we don't sign a centre-half i.e. Huth, the Johnston signing will
be for naught this season. With the new telly deals surely the banks will AJ Just want to say what a signing AJ is. All the thanks Moyesy and kenwright for splashing out the money on a well proven goal scorer. The future's looking bright and can't wait to beat the redshite next season. So bring them on. We'll show them how it's done. Good work lads keep up the good work. Deano. (01/06/06) A Word Of Caution So much joy shown by Evertonians at the arrival of Andy Johnson, but may I offer a word of caution. He is quite ordinary, if a little quicker, in comparison to many of the current front men in the Premiership. He could prove an invaluable addition but like so many that have gone before him, let's wait for this time next year before assuming he is the new Messiah! Keith Farley. (01/06/06) Well in Bill "We're all goin on a European tour." Paul, West Derby. (01/06/06) First Of Many Congratulations to Sir Kenners and Moyesy in obtaining the services of one of the best young strikers in England. If he was at a more fashionable club (Premiership would have helped!) last year, he would get the nod ahead of the useless Defoe. I hope A.J. is the first of many new signings, like 4 new defenders!!! Huth would do though its essential Yobo stays because Huth has no pace. Moyesy please don't waste what little transfer funds we have!!! True Blue. (01/06/06) Wise Up I sent an e-mail just after new year regarding we will finish top ten if we didn't get goalscorer. We should have. I mean West Brom at home last game of season we should have been 4 up before they scored. Well anyway these so called blue's who are still calling for Moyes's head, wise the fuck up. Who the fuck would come and manage EVERTON. I love this club with a passion, but really come on nobody could take this club better forward than Moyesy. He's young and passionate and you can see him every game giving it his all. I think he is quality and HE will take us further forward. The signing of AJ is very important to this club. I know like the rest of us £8.6 million is alot but that is the going rate for an England international. We all know Moyes' has fucked up in a few transfer dealings, but hasn't messars FERGUSON, WENGER, MOURINHO and that fat twat across the park all done the same, but on a bigger scale. Fair enough they have won silverware, but lets be honest they have the money and pulling power. So all you so called blue noses stop slagging and start giving the club and MOYES'S the support it needs. Wadders. (01/06/06) Made Up Like
most blues made up about the AJ Transfer, lets just hope we can seal the
Huth transfer too, then finally we should look to have a good solid
Although I commend the signings of Andy Johnson and Tim Howard, and bright prospect Scott Spencer, it’s time to get real and realise with our current squad Europe is a distant dream without some major rebuilding, especially at the back. Last season's 11th place may have been a disappointment to most after the exploits of the year before, but if you look at the squad, it was a good achievement. Especially with David Moyes’ loyalty to the ‘dead wood’ we have at the club. David is a fantastic young manager, but his loyalty could be his downfall. It’s time to cast aside players like Pistone, Naysmith, Weir, Wright, Kilbane and Carsley, who have taken the club as far as they can, and look to the future. Also, if Yobo is stalling, as is disappointingly reported, then get a good price for him, and move on. With
what we could recoup on the above, bring in the likes of Huth, Lescott
and Nolan. We also need another right back, midfielder and striker, preferably
all with European experience. Anthony Van Den Borre of Anderlect is a
cracking full back, and Tomas Sivok of Sparta Prague is a tough midfielder.
Both are young, and have European games behind them, which would be vital
in pushing up the league. Also, bring in the Auxere striker Luigi Peroni,
or Porto’s Benni McCarthy as backup to our new strike force of Johnson
and Beattie. In my opinion, better players will then bring out the better
qualities of players like Valente and Van Der Meyde, who only showed in
glimpses what they were capable of last season, as well as bringing on
the talents of youngsters such as Vaughan, Anichebe, Hughes and Vidarsson.
