BBC and Blues' mascots

I hope the Club are going to demand a retraction from the idiot that produces Match of the Day regarding comments made during Sunday night's MOTD. We got a mention for being the Club that charges the most to kids to be our mascot on match days. As usual, the empty-heads from the BBC have had to rely on the empty-heads from the Guardian to broadcast misinformation regarding price levels at each Premiership Club.

So, not only do they give us as little air time on their Man U/Chelsea/Arsenal Fan Club Show, they also try to tarnish the great name of our Club. I'll be surprised if we hear anything. Anyway, great start to the season. Keep it going lads!! Eddieparkend. COYB. (30/08/06)

David Moyes Sssssshhh!

Will somebody please tell David Moyes to shut the F**k up regarding AJ and Leon, ( or anyone else for that matter ), playing for England Ireland. Like all self respecting supporters of any club my main concern is Everton not England and DM's should be the same. He has to realise we are a selling club and make no mistake if AJ bangs in 20 goals this year Man U or Chelski will come knocking. Look at the last decent players we had playing for England Rooney and Barmby, both go off to England games and come back unashamedly tapped up. Then we have the injury thing, you can bet your bottom dollar Crouch and Gerrard won't get a scratch but AJ will come in 4 pieces and be out till Christmas, James Vaughan enough said. So while we all think they might be good enough we don't need it shouting from the rooftops. Kevin Jones. (30/08/06)

Warrior Attitude

Moyesy played every card right, he has installed a warrior attitude again at Goodison and we are becoming increasingly hard to break down. Our resilience is first class and we are even starting to play constructive, progressive and intelligent football again. Aj is a fantastic signing, but the key was keeping the ever impressive Arteta. Osman has a massive season this year as I believe he's in a chance with England reckoning. Keep it up boys, long way to go yet but so far so brilliant. Roll on the shite. Matthew J. Cockney Blue. (30/08/06)

Mickey Blue Eyes

I just wanted to say it's great to see the Mickey Blue Eyes match reports back. Best Everton writing on the web! Julian Evitts. (30/08/06)

red Card

football ....marvellous , wasn't it...... isn't it , great......, left for dead , in no mans land ,no skill ..no idea no way.......yellow card ? MAKE IT A RED , young players,,,,, jumpers for goal posts marvellous , grrrreat ,, joeverton. (30/08/06)

Kilbane

Kevin isn't dirty, he's just slow, as is Davey Weir and Gary Naysmith. Great club men but a little passed their sell by date. But that's just my opinion. Canadian Toffee! (30/08/06)

Mascot Pricing

How fuckin stupid are the BBC....does BBC stand for BLOODY BOLLOCKS COMPANY?? An alleged apology off BBC radio 5.....then Match of the day 2 report that Everton charge the most for a mascot!!!!!! cheers guys...keep up the good work on the website!!!..toffeeman35!!! (30/08/06)

Racism

I along with my son, Dad and friends went to the opening match against Watford last Saturday. It was my Dad’s birthday; we went to the Glebe before hand had a few pints, which set us all up for the match. Like the rest of you, I and my son were really looking forward to the first game. I am 37 and my son 8. I a lifelong fan have seen like most the ups and downs but like many had a certain amount of excitement, more than other seasons because of the new signings and so on. Everything was set; we got in the ground about 2.30 pm and couldn’t get a drink because the Upper Glad was ram packed. So earlier than usual we took our seats.

If I knew then what was going to happen for the next 2 hours I would have been straight up to nearest policeman and had the yobs behind us carted of pronto.

Before I begin my story, I want to let people know that I’m no saint. I have done the rounds. I have been to the Stoke’s and the Gillingham’s in our glory days in the FA Cup , I have sung and swore like many and probably had one if not three too many and may have offended some people around me. When I use to go away with the blues on a more regular basis than now, when I was a wee nipper, I did drink too much and I did have a crack in the middle of those hardened Evertonians. We all know what I mean by that. Start of early, have a crack, sing throughout the whole game and probably a little aggressive at times. So there it is I’m putting my hand up – so as not to paint a picture that I’m some stuck up, up me own arse, prawn munchin nob who has nothing better to do than go on about a few over the top lads who have had a skinful. No this is much worse than this and this is where for the first time ever I was ashamed to be a blue in the company of these retards behind me.

As the game started about 7 lads between 18 and say 25 sat down behind us. About five minute’s after the game started. Now it takes all sorts and I like many parents swear occasionally in front of their kids, that does not mean I’m a serial nutcase who F’s and blinds every minute of the day. I understand that when a decision goes against our team, fans want vengeance and the easiest way to do this is by rollicking the ref, the opposing fans and players. I’ve done it myself. But when you have 3 lads with you all under 11 you and a lot of other lads with their dad, you hope that common sense prevails and the people around you have a bit of integrity. Not a chance with these dickheads. From the first whistle to the last whistle we were subjected to every expletive you could think of Eh ya tw*t, f@ckin pr1ck, c*nt. Now although I objected to the amount of shit they were talking, I held my tongue. But then the racist taunts began as the match went on. Too me it’s simply not on, especially as they were not only giving it out to the black lads of Watford but our own. Jungle bunnies, N1ggers, Spear chuckers, C00ns, all directed at Joey, Lescott and Victor. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. The shit my son and I had to put up with for 90 mins was an absolute disgrace. They were a disgrace to the badge. As the second half started they turned up late. They left with 10 mins of the first half left and turned up 5 mins late in the second half. It was obvious they wanted to just get mashed. They even came back to their seats with a pint in their hand. What were the stewards doing, what do they get paid to do – turn a blind eye to the racists wankers I suppose.

I was ashamed that I didn’t turn round and tell them to shut it but you just don’t know what is coming back at you. I didn’t want my son to be subjected to our own fans slagging our black players but I didn’t want to end up in a fight at the same time. I suppose they probably won’t read this because they can’t. But if by any small chance you know these lads or are a friend of these people, then tell them they are scum and probably have an IQ of -50. These type of people probably only go the game once in a blue moon but they are not welcome – period. I was sitting in Row Q that day so they were one above – you know who you are. Neill. (30/08/06)

Spurs 0 Everton 2

Spurs away, 3 points? lookin down on the red shite? Games like that are why im a blue. We shut them out and played the ball on the deck, passing properly for a change with composure and finesse at times, barring Gary Nayshite. Down to ten men, we looked better than when we had eleven, and you could see the spirit, the kind we had when we went to the champions league. it was a pleasure to watch couldn't get down there myself but thank god for pirate arab football tv.Der,der, der, der Andy Johnson. But ossie as well, class.yobo and lescott never troubled. Cahill and arteta never stopped running, never gave up passed well and controlled the game, all round great team performance. Lookin down on the redshite!
Cheers lads, great web site. Spurs away? We're havin a laff! Scatty Matty. efc1878. (30/08/06)

Everton Wine Is Reduced For Blue Kippers

My name is Ian Clarke of Cultural Wines, 2a Carnegie Avenue, Crosby. (off College Road). Phone is 0151 281 6212. In partnership with Red Shite Dave Coyne, we sell Everton Wine featured in 3rd Eye. The more of this that gets sold the angrier he gets! We retail it at £6.95 but for any bluekipper fans I’ll knock it out at £6.00. As seen in Strikers Bar!! Ian. (26/08/06)

TeamCards

just read on your site that there was no problem with the season cards, but I'm afraid to report that I had trouble with mine. the kids got into the enclosure no problem, but dad following a little later got the red light. still got in with no hassle though, and I arrived there early at ten to three. Mickey. (26/08/06)

Plasma Screens

At the end of last season most of the televisions in the Bullens Road had signs on them which read 'To be replaced by Plasma Screens'. In an attempt to get the supporters to the ground early for the Watford game the club said that the Red Shite game would be on beforehand. I thought that meant lots of new plasma TV's and so I was looking forward to having a beer while watching the Shite get beat against the Blades. I was wrong. Most of the TV's were out of order and there was one plasma screen. Everyone was huddled around with no room for access. It was embarrassing. If you go to most grounds now in the premiership their facilities are far better than ours. Goodison was a great ground but that is no more. We have to get out of there.

The point I am trying to make is that the club with the help of Wyness are always banging on about their appreciation of the supporters. I don't think they do and am honestly fed up with them. That MC before the game also. Who is he? All this mighty Blues shite. Are we mighty. No. Its embarrassing. He is the same prick who before the Derby last December when reading out the Red Shite team referred to Gerrard as 'Stevie Gerrard' The man is an arsehole. I love the team and I always will but the club are a joke. The support at Blackburn on Wednesday at those prices was fantastic. I believe the players and management appreciate it but the likes of Wyness and Kenwright don't.

Finally drop all this 'Peoples Club' shit. It's just emotional blackmail to spend more money. I'll stop now before I get onto the club shop. Jay (Warring ton) (26/08/06)

Scottish Mafia

It is good to know that the Scottish Mafia is still going strong. Weir all but leaves the club looking for a two year deal. Nobody in their right mind would give him that so he comes back and David Moyes gives him yet another handout. Neil Warnock preferred Craig Short to Weir. What does that tell you ?

James McFadden has made a big impact apparently. He scored against Port Vale. In the meantime Victor Anichebe has scored four goals, albeit in pre season friendlies, and I don`t think he was even on the bench for the Blackburn game. Gary Naysmith. Why ?

With Lescott warming the bench I fear another Ferrari situation with Club Captain Fantastic back in inaction and the £5m man left on the bench to watch in awe.

Nevertheless a good start to the season and a point at Spurs would be nice as they seem to have had some sort of thing over us for the last couple of seasons. My final plea is to lay off Beattie. I believe that there is a better prospect of goals with Beattie and Johnson than any other combination. A very optimistic Blue. John.

Passing The Ball

Hello guys. Just in here to say what I thought about the last two games. Lets see...hmmm...sigh. First of all, I am still disappointed with the way Everton play.. especially the PASSING of the ball.. Don't anyone notice that everytime we get to the final third of the field, the passing tends to go awry.. from the midfielders to the strikers.. Now, I do not expect wonderful passing but simple and effective ones.. Can't a Premier League (world standard) do some decent passing at all. Another situation which does not help is the ball-watching done by both midfielders and strikers. Makes it harder to pass the ball isn't it ?

Next, the dreadful long ball... How many times does Beattie win the headers or even manage to get to it? You can almost get to three only PER GAME.... Look I got no problem with Beattie but I think we should play the ball more on the ground to the forwards... WHICH comes to the next thing... I certainly think we should play McFadden with Johnson upfront so that we have mobility... rather than having Beattie stationary upfront easily marked by defenders..

HOW should we play? Here's how I think. Off the ball running by strikers + one-twos wall passing + through balls = more opportunities for more goals. I think the team should practice this again and again rather than the long hopeful ball to Beattie. AND OF COURSE. MUCH BETTER PASSING FOR GOD"S SAKE.

HEY just my thought. Please do not crucify me. So here's hoping to better football from Everton for Evertonians. COYB!!!!! Mohamad Haryan. (26/08/06)

Everton and The Rag

Now weren't we all having a go at Wayne Rooney not too long ago for selling his story to the newspaper (??) that was banned on Merseyside for their coverage of the Hillsborough tragedy? Yet, when I use the ablutions at half time, there in front of me above the urinals are framed adverts for this rag, emblazoned with pictures of Stevie G (someone else with a short memory).

Is this some sort of joke where I don't get the funny bit at the end? Are the Club really that desperate for funding? Just thought I'd ask. (Good luck to the lads at Blackburn!!) Eddieparkend COYB. (25/08/06)

Praise Moyes

The results so far show Moyes knows you know. We are very lucky to have a manager and staff who from the start planned what and knew who they wanted, okay a few questions but that's ok look at the failures in other teams, the man as still implanted a team on the way to the success of past Everton teams. Mr Kenwright you found a man of the people for the people. COYB. John Lea. (25/08/06)

Announcer

The man is a complete joke and he has been for a long time. When he read out the half-times he referred to Charlton as Carlton, adding to his numerous errors from last season. It is obvious that he has no appreciation of football whatsoever!!! Chris J. Upper Bullens. (25/08/06)

Slam Dunc

I know I'll get roasted for this but it won't be the first time but only because the truth hurts. Nicky Campbell's article about Duncan Ferguson is spot on. I have no doubt he is a generous man. But as a footballer he sucked!. He neither had the goal scoring ability, discipline nor commitment to warrant his iconic status.

It is quite disingenuous to blame 'scum journos' for facts that we know but fail to accept. His scoring record a paltry 73 in 273 in 10years is embarrassing if compared to average players let alone heroes like Van Nistlerooij, Henry, Shearer, Fowler even Heskey scored 40 goals in 4 seasons across the park. And please spare the usual arguments that he was a different kind of striker - yeah the non-scoring kind. And as for the tattoo... like a ventriloquist, you can talk that shit from somewhere else. He turned his back on his country because they strongly disapproved of his thuggish behaviour. He would have had an international career at least as good as Ally McCoist's but oh no. And did it make him a better player? Did it curtail his temperament? Hell no. He did the same shit @33 that he he did @23. And somehow we seem to worship him for it

I resent the guy big style because like it or not he never gave this club 10% of what it gave him- Love, adulation, iconic status not to mention a large amount of wealth all far in excess of what his meagre talent deserves. If we esteem our reputation, it is better to have no icon than to have our adulation wasted on someone like him. If we was as good as we say he is how come nobody not even a Championship club has signed him. Says it all doesn't it? Because they aren't as blind and stupid as we were. Abi aka blackandblu. (25/08/06)

Play Arteta In The Middle

First game of the season and 3 points so I don't want to come across as moaning already but I do question moyesy's team selection.
Everyone knows that Arteta is our most gifted player by far so why oh why is he stuck out wide. It's bad enough when he's on the right but yesterday he played on the left. We must start to build the team round him and through him. He must play in the middle (with Cahill) and the back four must be told to work through him. If we keep it on the deck Arteta can be the midfield invention that we need. One more point. Poor old Lee Carsley is totally lost in a midfield 4. Yes he was great 2 years ago when we played 5 across the middle, he could sit in front of the back four but being one of 4 midfielders that not enough now. He's got to do more than just sit deep and he's simply not up to it. Well that's me done, lets hope Moyesy gets it right for the Blackburn game. Ian. (22/08/06)

Watford Game

Alas the result belies the performance. Once again there were too many players in the Royal blue jerseys found lacking in passion skill or commitment. I can only guess as too why Harry Hill started the game. He was ineffectual, out of his class and was responsible for giving the ball away too cheaply leading to the Watford goal. Simon Davies was a poor squad player at Tottenham and continues to do little else too suggest that he is going to be any different at Everton. Mr Moyes must see something in him during training but it clearly doesn't show during games huff n puff running is no longer good enough in the Premiership and his final ball is consistently lacking in quality. You have to feel sorry for Kilbane who has enjoyed a decent pre season consigned to the bench watching headless chicken Davies run around the pitch doing little except give the grounds man more divots to repair.

Tiny struggled to get into the game but still managed a decent header that hit the post and flashed right across the goal mouth without going in, Beattie was clearly lacking fitness despite a hectic pre season and to my note only won one header all the time he was on the pitch. Arteta was subdued but did rattle the woodwork with an excellent free kick in the first half. Watford are a big physical side and to their credit took the game to Everton and had they had a bit more quality up front Everton would have been punished by them, if they play like this all season they have nothing to worry about.

Joleon Lescott was thrown into the affray second half and continued the fine Everton tradition of buying quality and playing them out of position slotting into the left back berth? whilst Victor Anichebe, brought on for the ineffectual Beattie was starved of any through balls from an almost non existent midfield and was obviously frustrated by it picking up a booking from the inconsistent refereeing of Peter Walton who on this performance should seek re deployment preferably in Iraq.

Positives can be taken from this game however the evergreen Stubbsey was magnificent and proves the old adage that there is no substitute for experience, Neville although not at home in right back slot had a decent game full of gusto and last but not least Johnson who has added a whole new dimension to Everton's play. He ran himself into the ground and was creating chances for himself as well as others before opening up his account for Everton. Hopefully he can forge a partnership with Beattie though it will take time. He has has finally given us hard pressed Evertonians something to get exited about. Joeverton. (22/08/06)

Radio

I'm a new visitor to your site. New to computers come that. I was listening to radio Mersey's on friday gone (the breakfast show). They were offering a nice little prize of the Goodison tour. Next minute the presenter appologised, saying sorry to liverpool fans about talking about Everton for so long but they would redress the difference later. Considering they never stop talking about the other lot I thought they had a cheek. Good win against Watford, AJ looks good. Jimmy. (22/08/06)

Season Ticket - 3rd Player Mystery

On the season ticket / team card there are 3 people, Tim Cahill, Dixie Dean, but who is the 3rd person? Its really irritating me and it would be great if you could tell me who the third person is. Many thanks. Mr D. Jackson. (22/08/06) Ed: We think it maybe an opposition player, possibly an Arsenal player marking Dixie?

Watford

Having been to the game and then watching it on TV on reflection we were somewhat lucky to have got three points. The mid-field is too light weight and we need an enforcer in there. Far too often the light weights we brushed aside like flies off a cow's arse on a summer day. Watford were very physical and chose to launch the ball into the air rather than pass it. Beattie must be given license to get forward more rather than helping out with defensive chores. He worked his socks off and will be much more effective in our opponents half of the field. A definite improvement on last season Yobo superb. Jack Warner. Lifelong Blue. (22/08/06)

Ground Move - Everton In Stanley Park

Ok boys. I don't know if anyone has talked about this before or not. If the shite can build a new ground on Stanley park then why can't we have a piece of the park. Turn our great old ground around reroute walton lane between the shites new ground and the new land we would then own. It would give us plenty of space to re build our great old stadium. Even if it mean't sharing the other shithole for a season or two. Well it was ours in the first place anyway after all. Brilliant site lads. Keep it up. Peter O'Halloran. (22/08/06)

Here we go, here we go..

Can't wait for our first game against Watford tomorrow. I always find it amazing that I still get the same buzz now, as I'm walking towards Goodison, that I got thirty years ago as a kid when I attended my first game. Here's hoping Moyesy and the lads can do us proud this season. Let's hear you fans! Good Luck Everton!! Great site lads. Eddieparkend COYB. (18/08/06)

New season - Good Luck

We are all looking forward to the New season in hope that we finish in a respectable league position.....top 6 would be a bonus. I have emailed Bluekipper several times last season, mainly being critical of the age of the squad members, lack of investment in younger players, lack of opportunities for the academy player and questionable signings.

The Board and David Moyes appear to be listening. Whether this is fueled by fans reaction in the stands and terraces, or season ticket sales, I don't know!.......What I will say is that there are now some steps in the right direction, with a blend of youth and experience and I hope this methodology continues to enable the team to keep one step ahead of our rivals.

The success of our team of the eighties, was brought about by a blend of youth and experience. This ethos should now be enshrined within the club, in order to protect our Premier league status first and foremost, and who knows bring us the success that the Club and the fans deserve, perhaps with some silverware?

In wishing the Board, the Manager and his staff and the players well for the New season, I have a final peace of advice.........find some money for David Nugent, he along with the other signing will bring success built on plenty of goals. Mal(trueblue) but not holdings!. (18/08/06)

Wyness Interview

I thought KW dealt with the interview questions with great aplomb , Mickey. He would give Paxman a run for his money! You bowled him a few googlies but his guard never dropped.

What impresses me about KW is, like Moyesy, he presents as being completely focussed on what's needed, and is clearly not afraid to confront thorny issues. When I think back to 12 hour queues for a League Cup final ticket all those years ago ( Villa) I have to remind myself how far things have moved on- we are a much more customer oriented club these days , but there are still some areas that need working on. The catering was one, definitely, and we'll see how that goes, and weeding out the racist dinosaurs is another.

One question you didn't ask the big man was whether EFC could help our fans come up with some new songs as the "Grand Old Team " and Everton (recurring) chants are a bit tiresome now. We have a local catalogue of literally hundreds of ditties ranging from Beatles, Bunnymen, Teardrop, Space, Cast, Elvis Costello etc yet all of this talent is overlooked for our well worn refrains.

Some serious scratching of heads is required , particularly in pub gatherings before away games , the natural spawning ground for all new chants. Anyways, well done MBE, and Blue Kipper, keep up the good work. White rose Blue. Harrogate, North Yorkshire. (18/08/06)

MBE & Wyness

Mate - absolutely fantastic interview....great insight and he seems a nice bloke. If you don't mind next time to ask him about any thoughts on the FA trying to even up the competition in any way, instead of the top 4 being at the top all the time? Again, top interview... Cheers. George Tsatsimas. Australia. (18/08/06)

LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON

My old Dad absolutely idolized William Ralph (Dixie) Dean the Everton and England footballer of the 1920’s and 1930’s and still a legend on Merseyside. I know all the stories about Dixie; how he could head the ball faster than the average player could kick it, how he could jump higher for the ball than anyone else and hover in the air, how with 3 to 4 markers he still scored more goals than anyone else. In the Season of 1927/28, Dean scored a total of 60 league goals, a record that still stands to this day.

My bedtime story was Dixie scoring the three goals he needed to break the existing record of 59. It was the last game of the season against Arsenal on Saturday 5th May 1928 at Goodison Park, Liverpool. I think I know every kick of that game, even though it took place 11years before I was born. By half time Dixie had already scored twice thereby equalling the record. Goodison Park was packed to the rafters and the tension reached fever pitch when with only 5 minutes to go Dixie still needed one more goal. My Dad was in his usual spec in the terraces “under the clock” which was in front of the main stand, level with the halfway line. A corner awarded to Everton, Alec Troup places the ball to take the kick. As Dad said, he felt it in his water that this was it, Dixie was bound to get that wonderful head of his to the ball, and he did. With a perfectly timed leap above the fourteen players in the goalmouth Dixie nodded it, as fast as a bullet, past the Arsenal goalkeeper for his 60th goal. The crowd go wild and the roar could be heard like a thunderclap throughout the length and breadth of Merseyside. Dad throws his cap in the air and “it never came down”.

More than two decades later I was a regular at Goodison Park watching Everton as a young teenager. Me and my mates would always stand exactly where my Dad used to watch, in the terraces, “under the clock”, level with the halfway line. Just as the referee blew his whistle to start each match, I would always turn to my mates and say, ”if a cap comes down here, it’s mine” Ted Redford. (18/08/06)

Israel

Oh how I hate the shite !!! They had such difficulty in beating Haifa ( a team which would struggle in the Championship ). Being shite they haven't got the decency or honour to agree to play the return in Israel - even thought the war is over and its safe as houses - and of course EUFA are always ready to accommodate the shite and give them an unfair advantage. I suppose they will scrape through again and get away with it. Oh how I hate the shite. John de Frece. EFC Supporters in Israel. (18/08/06)

Wyness Interview

Just a note to say that I thought this was a very good well balanced interview. It has been probably the best source of information I have seen about what is actually going on at the club. Much better than MBE's match reports. Phil Johnson. (18/08/06)

McFadden

There was me thinking that we were moving forward, and then McFadden signs a new deal and Moyes starts harpin on about how he could be an important player for us. McFadden's shite. He thinks he can take people on. He can't. Get rid! Tony, Wirral. (18/08/06)

Evertonians In Rome

First things first, I love the site. Always the first place I look for regular news on my beloved blues. Quick question for you guys, as you seem to know all things Everton. My family and I are going to Rome in early September, however this is going to coincide with the derby against the red sh1te. Do you know of any good ex pat Everton friendly bars in Rome that I could go and cheer on the blues safe in the knowledge that know nothing red supporters are likely to be thin on the ground. I get nervous enough watching the derby at the best of times, without being surrounded by kopite's who lets be honest are gobsh1te's. If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Ian. (18/08/06)
Anyone with an answer please e-mail info@bluekipper.com

MBE & Bully

MBE's chat with Keith Wyness made for excellent reading. MBE is not necessarily my favourite contributor to your site but he asked all the pertinent questions and, happily, he didn't adopt a phony, Paxman-esque inquisitorial tone. He was direct yet courteous - he didn't want an argument, he wanted information and for the most part he got it. Bully strikes me as someone who genuinely wants to be as open and informative as circumstances will allow. By the standards of today's football suits, he seems pretty straight. Cheers both. Neil, Milton Keynes. (18/08/06)

Ground Move

Why don't Everton Football Club consider the Summer Pops site by the Heritage Market or the East Lancashire Road just past the Showcase Cinema on the other side. Both in the Liverpool boundary and have plenty of space for other amenities. Please let Mr Leahy (Tesco Chap) know of the East Lancashire Road site. Loads of catchment, lots of space and in Liverpool. Many thanks. Mikel Valentine. (14/08/06)

"New Ground" Vouchers

Thought I'd ask the ones with the info!!! Having just received by season ticket (or should I say seasoncard) I was surprised not to find any priority voucher for any potential new ground. This voucher was within each season ticket for the past 4/5 years. Do you know if this has been scrapped or are we going to receive something else? Excellent website...............keep up the good work. Thanks. Ian. (14/08/06)

redshite On Official Everton Site

On my daily visit through all Everton related websites this morning, I was horrified to find Alan Hansen and Steven Gerrard's faces staring back at me on the official Everton website, evertonfc.com, as part of the by now stupid amount of advertising they have on the site!

I do all I can to avoid any kind of red shite as it is, never mind having to put up with it on the official bloody site. Would any everton fan worth his salt buy a bloody sky dish after looking at Steven Gerrard' bastard face on an ad? Does anyone else feel like this, or am I just turning into a grumpy old man (out of viz) at the age of 25!!! This on the other hand is a great site lads. Nice one, Dewi, Cardiff. (14/08/06)

Andy Pandy

I have reason to believe that Andy Pandy had his drink spiked with "lemonade"! His girlfriend said that he came over all faint and had problems breathing afterwards. She said he was not used to "non-alcoholic beverages", and it was a great shock to his system. Luckily after a short spell in Arrowe Park Hospital being attached to a drip containing "pure alcohol" his normal blood alcohol levels have been restored. It is believed that he has had many cards and flowers wishing him a speedy recovery, including one from his "local off-licence"who were deeply concerned about job prospects should their biggest customer discontinue his patronage. P. Bartley. (14/08/06)

GET GRAVESEN BACK!

Enough said! Eddie Astley. (14/08/06)

Andy Pandy

Van de Meyde................a fucking liability, get rid. Bizzyblue. (14/08/06)

Tommy Grav

Get Grav back straight away. Then we won't be half a team anymore. Then if the skunks want a midfielder offer them Kilbane, Davies or Shandy and if they need a striker they could always have McFadden. Remember nothing but the best. Chris Simpson. (05/08/06)

TODAY

I can see a great Everton team. Is this what we have waited for so patiently? Please let it be so. We have every position covered. My thoughts - If we reached Europe with a rag arsed team, then this team will go one step further. Right. John Lea. (05/08/06)

JJB - Megastore Closures

Well that's a load of Bollocks.......all the shit about closing the Everton stores because JJB want to sell all things Everton EXCLUSIVELY in their shops.....I've just returned from a JJB store in Bangor City Centre (North Wales) and facing you when you enter is the BIGGEST display of new MANURE & Chelski kit I've ever seen! I asked where the EFC kit was and the reply was......that's upstairs (1 fuckin rail).

Fucking disgruntled from Deganwy. Gary 'True Blue' Carr. (05/08/06)

New Season

AAAH the war banner is in the air again. I am really looking forward to this season. Glento. (31/07/06) shut up or f>ck off.

While the gang of five have been playing monopoly Everton have made three solid signings that will fit in really well with the players we already have. We have at least three good youngsters waiting in the wings also. I have got a feeling Pistone and Kilbane are going to surprise the knockers this season. Laurie from OZ. (05/08/06)

Class Players Going Cheap

I can't believe some of the talent available in the transfer market at such a small price to pay. You never see Everton amongst the big teams trying to sign them.

Players like: Ze Roberto, a class Brazilian international who is available on a free transfer. Had a reasonably good World Cup and only earns around
£20,000 a week. Surely we can afford that and plus the fact it could solve our winger situation as Andy Van is always on the sidelines.

Tommy Grav, surely he would come back to us at a knock down fee of £2m. Especially as he was a favorite with the fans and his apparent love for the blue shirt. Why not? Andy Jones, Croxteth Park. (05/08/06)

Give Dunc A Contract

I'm sad to see Ferguson looking for new clubs. No1 wants to sign the poor bugger, it didn't feel right the way he left. He may not have bin the greatest goal scorer but he has been a legend for Everton. Don't get me wrong scoring a goal on the last minute to help draw the game is a way to go but it just didn't feel right. I know this sounds silly I think maybe we should give him another contract. We still can and it could be worth it.

Would like to comment on Gravesen to. We have first refusal. He helped get us into the champs league for first time ever and it would be gr8 to
have him back and flog Carsley to Wolves good idea huh? and please stop slating Moyes. We ain't no Newcastle scums
. Matty Osgood. (04/08/06)
