Arsenal Game Great Result. We all would have settled for it beforehand no doubt. Typical Wenger moaning that the opposition were negative. For a manager who is quite intelligent he can be quite pathetic at times also when his team doesn't win. I mean plenty of teams have come to Goodison, played to their strengths in a the hope of nicking a win or a point. If Whinger can't accept that as the home side the onus is on his team to break down the opposition, then he should really just say nothing. Looking at the table, one defeat in ten makes impressive reading. Back to London next Saturday to a ground which has been unkind to us blues. Remember White Hart Lane a couple of months ago anyone ? So here's to our boys breaking that hoodoo also. Marko, Dublin. (02/11/06) Happy Birthday It is my step Dad's birthday on the 5th of November and i would be really grateful if you could put this on your site. He is the most loyal Everton fan you could ever meet. Thanks to him I support Everton. :-) He is a really good step Dad and he always makes my laugh. He watches every Everton match and knows so much about them. He goes on blue kipper regularly. He has always supported Everton. And told me to ignore anything bad that someone says about Everton. Because we know Everton are the best! Happy Birthday Rick! Your amazing! Love ya Lots Luv Jemma x x x x :-) (02/11/06) Lock Out At Emirates That's the second time I've gone down to Arsenal now and not been able to get in to the match. I knew it was sold out but I've never been to a match yet where there wasn't some spiv willing to sell you a ticket at some extortionate price. But an hour before the game, I was getting that feeling that NO ONE was going to get a ticket that day - and there were plenty of blue boys looking for them. I felt quite sorry for them as most of them had come down from Merseyside and as an exile blue I'd just come down from Cambridgshire so it wasn't too bad for me. Still disappointed though. Walking back to Finsbury Park at about 10 past 3, the most enormous shout goes up and I get that sickly feeling and think bugger its only taken them 10 mins to score. Stuck me little radio on only to find Skippy has stuck it to them. Get in! The noise from the ground - and I was best part of a mile away by then - made you proud to be a blue! Great stuff all the lads and Moyesy. Keep it going. Gerard Ryan. (02/11/06) In
the Brave New World of the Sky Premiership it's never been more obvious
than now that if you're not one of the boys, then you're nobody. Chelsea
Man U, Arsenal, the shite and - for a reason nobody outside Sky or Newcastle
can comprehend - the skunks. The whole footballing world revolves around
them and them alone. But not only that, every other side is supposed to
lay down and die against these sides (except for the skunks of course,
who are total shite as the rest of us know). Singapore Blue Dear Mr Moyes, I'm a fan of Everton for almost 20 years now ever since I was a kid. For the first time in many years I have an edge over the many LIVERPUDIANS here in Singapore! I'm am very proud to be an Evertonian and will ALWAYS DO. SINGAPORE TRUE BLUE. (02/11/06) Stadium Dasein I
have just read the above
article and I can't keep my silence any longer. I have read his articles
for the last three or four seasons and have I thought considering the virus and injury plagued squad the boys did very well, we battled all over the park, watching the game some were not happy with us defending deep, but Moyesy got it spot on, Henry likes to get behind to cause damage, that ploy was foiled so much so that he was not at the races.and as for Wenger moaning about our tactics, well like all blues fans, I am sick of us going like lambs to the slaughter as in recent seasons, I must praise all the lads they gave their all, and as for the ref well match reporter put his name in the correct context an old women. OLD MOTHER RILEY. norman merrill. (31/10/06) Stadium Planning I agree on MBE's comments regarding the game, but more so on his views and expressions on the Arse Stadium. A valuable lesson to be learnt for our new stadium as and when it will be built; we do not want corporate boxes kicking established season ticket holders out ( a la Newcastle) nor do we want bare bones cold concrete (a la Bolton). The nature of the beast is as such, but I don't want corporate naming nor prawn sandwich munching sycophants spoiling my warm pint and cold pie. (Get that sorted Wyness, FFS, it's getting on my tits now as much as those 'customer service assistants' (you know, the foul mouthed birds who talk about knobbing their bloke whilst you're waiting to be served, and tell you to "fuck off" when you ask for service)). New stadium for the people by the people - we'll get 60,000 a week, you can stick your corporate hospitality boxes up your arse. Cheers folks, and well done Lard and Vicki and Ben, best wishes. Rich Welsh Blues. (31/10/06) Sunday Newspapers I get so sick and tired when I pick up the Sunday newspaper and I see quotes like "Everton's performance against Arsenal is everything that's wrong with the way English football is going (telegraph)? "Negative football makes for bad viewing. I'll tell you whats really wrong with english football, the way the same old boring fucking top three or four has been given the automatic right to win everything in fucking sight because they have the most money! When teams Everton go to a place like the emirates stadium and make do with the best we have (which is quite good at the moment) and earn a terrific result we should get some praise? Why do all these editors and writers even bother writing a match report? If the result doesn't go the way it 'should' maybe they shouldn't even bother, pretend that there wasn't even a fucking game. Nick Anderson. (31/10/06) Not quite sure what to make of MBE's latest tome, but he certainly induced the zzzz's well before I arrived at the terminus. Not sure whether I want to concern myself with someone else's political leanings either, or architectural knowledge come to that, when all I want to know is how someone else feels how the lads performed against the Arsenal. Usually quite good when it comes to conveying his opinions, but went way over the top this time. Keep it short and sweet mate. Eddieparkend COYB. (31/10/06) Old Mother Riley Great
display by our Bravehearts at the Emirates, who were only denied the points
yet AGAIN, by the not-so-funny Old Mother Riley. Surely it is now time
for the Club to make an official complaint about this putrid piece of
string, who masquerades as a Premiership referee. How many Shut Up Shop Watching us against the arse it always amazes me when we get a goal away we shut up shop, Davey must realise that the best form of defense is attack, It was galling to see AJ struggling up front on his lonesome, teams like the arse love this sort of approach from away sides, with their defense having to look after one forward they have more players to attack, so what i am saying when we go one up away from home we should go for the jugular and frighten the shite out of the home side. Once a Blue always true. Joe Ball. Maidenhead, Berks. (31/10/06) The Emirates Stadium Now
that was an article the one about the Arsenal
match. I didn't go but that description of the stadium made me wish
I had, a real in depth look at the new ground. I too was surprised they
built the stadium in the area they did, but pleased as well. I don't like
out of town or retail park stadiums and it appears the Gooners have done
a bit of the best of both worlds in sitting it where they did. MBE I normally relish MBE's articles as they give me chance to get the online dictionary out to understand words like "coruscatingly" whilst offering a bit more thought provoking material. Though sometimes less is more, why didn't he just say that given time all pundits morph into Trevor Brooking! Parkender. (31/10/06) redshite Squirm Isn't it great watching the shite fans squirm at the moment, there's one on every corner over here, I feel great. Andy , Auckland New Zealand Van Der Meyde Phil you're not alone in your comments on the van der meyde saga, I don't know what goes on up at leafy Bellefield, but players seem to go awol for weeks at a time, one minute there on the bench on match day then you don't see or hear anything for weeks, he is not the only one i wont put down a list it will take forever, surely these players don't all get injured in training? I don't expect Moyesy to come out and give reasons for all absentees, but with a small squad and games coming up thick and fast, I would like to know why paddy boyle was allowed to go on loan to norwich when we have a real problem at left back, I know he is back (injured)but when fit he has got to be considered he is a real talent. Keep your eyes peeled for someone by the name of Lucan appearing on the team sheet. Norman Merrill (31/10/06) I’ve been reading various reports recently linking John-Paul Kissock with a possible move to Chelsea – I’m finding it difficult to understand why on earth a young English player would want to go and join them? Only to go unnoticed in their youth team until getting released at 21 because they’ve just signed ‘the next Rooney’ from some foreign club. Everton are one of only a small handful of clubs in the premiership with the history and pedigree of nurturing young talent into the senior squad. Chelsea doesn’t have the patience, care or know how to do this. Liam. (31/10/06) A Fit Andy Would love to see Andy Pandy running 5 miles every day but always being injured does not help plus according to reports i have read it might be even harder to get him out of the bar and running with a hangover will not help him, what a waste of talent something must be wrong for him to be forever injured. DOUG. (31/10/06) Football Pundits Have just
enjoyed Mickey's lambast of the motley crew of TV football pundits we
see at the moment and would just like to add one or two tangential examples
to the debate about the very good and the very bad in terms of football
punditry. The Lad's A Scream Just read MBE's piece on pundits. Should have mentioned the 'extremely uncomfortable to be on telly' Carlton Palmer mate. The lad's a scream. Watch out for him, if he's ever allowed on the box again. Eddieparkend COYB. (31/10/06) Carling Cup Here we go
again, penny pinching blind bastards!!!! We just played Luton (27 or so
thousand) the shite sold out!!!!! so what do we do......? put the tickets
up by a fiver for the next round against Arsenal....? Grabbin pricks......!
didn't Blackburn prove if you lower ticket prices a bit more will come??
when have Bolton ever took 7000 on the road? Get a grip blues and lets
try and fill the ground think how many more pies, changs, programmes ect
you will sell....! Trophies Dear Mr Moyes are we in a position to grab a trophy this year I do not care if its the mickel mouse cup for starters. We have to start somewhere,You have done my health wonders the team is doing it at last but will it be another year ? COYB. John Lea. (27/10/06) Home And Away Can someone please explain to me why we get good support in numbers both home and away but hardly any noise? Why can't Goodison be rockin and even away games it is poor? Michael. season ticket holder. (27/10/06) Hey guys, great site!! Does anybody know what the deal is with andy pandy???? Seriously, I think we have really fucked up and signed his fat twin brother. I've watched this guy countless times for Inter milan and my god....what a player!! But since he was injured when he signed, he has looked like a former shadow of himself. You have to ask questions of the Everton backroom staff. Why has Davey, Davey Moyes allowed such a talented player to gain weight and languish on the bench?? Why has he not put this £2something000k a week player on a strict diet? Why is he not running miles and miles every day to burn that weight off and get to the extreme levels of fitness that these "professionals" require to earn their money. His man management skill can't be that great if he is going to allow this player, who could be the another big piece in the jigsaw to waste his time and sit staring at the January transfer door. We all know what a fit Van Der Meyde is capable of - and if you don't highlight this, and you will see what this guy can do. Come on Moyesy, he ain't done much but we are all waiting to idolise this guy. Get him training, get him fit and for god's sake get him playing!!!! who's with me?? Phill, Skem. (27/10/06) More Goals 4-0? It could have been 7 or 8 against Luton. Great atmosphere for a cup game though and the only man I could fault is macca but he did score. Cahill scored yet again to equal his goals with AJ. Arteta showing his class yet again, came close with a free kick aswell. Turner done ok and on a whole, good game lads. Sam Humphreys. (27/10/06) Sheff Utd Game Well after seeing Johnson go down and Beattie slot 2-0 I thought great this is gonna be goodbye Utd in style. Everton however looked like they was saying 'This is how good we are, now show us what you've got', they sat back and didn't bother, also James Mcwho? Sorry but James Mcfadden played brilliant for Scotland then he comes and plays for Everton like that? I was also quite surprised about how the Utd fans thought about losing 2-0, they had 3 fans jumping like monkeys. Then i realised they enjoy watching at Goodison. They wont be against us for a while will they!!!! So overall performance okay!!! But some players could've played better, and should've given Anichebe a start earlier and Boyle should've came on! Livehabbo. (27/10/06) Tingling Feeling Is anyone else starting to get a sort of tingling feeling? It's expectancy and hope. Lets not get carried away, it was just a League Cup win over a Championship side. However, those League cup ties against Championship sides were just the sort of games we were losing a few years ago. Would Walter's side have beaten Luton 4 nil? I doubt it (remember Oxford?). All of a sudden we are winning these games which look like being banana skins. I was extremely apprehensive about last night but by all accounts we were magic. The big test comes on Saturday of course when Arsenal will pose a slightly sterner test. Who cares? We've already hammered the RS and, I think, have proved that we are a handful for anyone on our day. Cherish the expectancy and hope whilst you can. As it stands we're through to the next round of the cup and Cardiff (and Europe) are just on the horizon. We've also got the Premiership campaign back on track. However by this time on Sunday we could have been gubbed by the Gooners (I hope not, especially as my cousin is a season ticket holder there) and drawn against Chelsea in the next round. Fingers crossed for an away win at the weekend and fingers crossed for a home draw against Port Vale in the next round. Enjoy the expectancy and hope, after all, optimism doesn't always lead to disappointment. Bring it on. Spencer Bishop. (25/10/06) Europe Here We Come Well
done Mr Moyes! At last we have a well balanced and confident team to contest
with in the EPL. Let us go to The Emirates with lots of What Do You Think? Have your say! e-mail info@bluekipper.com |
