Why oh why? Probably
my first good whinge of the season. Whilst accepting that we are very
short on numbers at the moment and drastic times call for drastic measures
can anybody enlighten me as to why David Moyes chose to put four centre
backs on the field against Pompey? And just to make things even worse
Weir was one of them! Fortunately he only got half a game but by then
the damage had been done. Although there is a very long way to go before Everton walk out into their new stadium in Kirkby, I believe it is in the bag. As much as lots of fans think, Kenwright is not in control of the situation, he has been very shrewd in appointing a chief executive. Keith Wyness will take all the stick for this. He's like a shield for Blue Bill. Already Kenwright has been quoted as saying: "We have always said that when we have what we feel is the best plan going forward we will go to the fans. Keith Wyness intends to keep his word on that. " He is already put his big Bully shield up. So lets move on a few years and the fans have been shown the plans of this new magnificent stadium in Kirkby, and told that the only way forward is to move here. So reluctantly, 60% of the fans agree to go to Kirkby. Off we go to the 'Tesco Stadium'. It's only a name! The final ruination of Everton FC. Billy. (12/12/06) We need a new striker! James Beattie has had his chances and certainly not taken them. I like other everton fans are fed up of him on the pitch not scoring. It doesn't help AJ having a poor strike partnership when there is a difference of class between them. I would like to see Darren
Bent (possible if charlton get relegated) Kirkby move........ Keep it!!!! I have just read with dismay that according to the news, our glorious club has signed a deal with Tesco about moving our ground to Kirkby. Could I say at this point that if Everton do move then that’s it. I'm finished with football. After spending countless fortunes and even more time following the blues over my long years, I've had enough of this:- I am sick and tired of being treated like a commodity and less like a genuine lifelong fan who has paid my dues and helped keep Everton up in the forefront of the league. We had a vote a few years ago and we voted to stay. Who do the board think they are to ignore the will of the fans? It is my belief that Liverpool city council have applied constant subtle pressure over the years to remove us from the city. They perceive us as a blot on the pink landscape. Our council leader is supposed to be an avid blue so lets see him fight for us in public. If we go, I truly believe that with EFC gone, the council/chamber of commerce will then kick their propaganda machine into gear and they'll start with associating this city of Liverpool city solely with the heathens across the park….. because they can fleece more dumb norwegian pinkies when they flock here for their 'home games'. It is my view that if we did move and in the fullness of time, history will reflect that Everton will never have been associated with the city of Liverpool:- they'll airbrush Everton Football Club out of the history books. Just like the fifth beatle, we'll become a footnote. In a city that is famous for having two of everything, being moving to some god forsaken spot in Kirkby flies in the face of that tradition. We'll no longer be able to stand shoulder to shoulder and exchange friendly banter with our enemy, the famous friendly rivalry will be first to go out of the window. For example, how many boozers will be within walking distance of the ground….. Will the ground actually be within walking distance?????? I live within spitting distance of Goodison, every night I pass by her, yeah she looks a bit shabby but you can feel the heart, the tradition & the ghosts that are associated with an old ground:- they're a dying breed so, I will not stand back to watch the grand old lady become a tesco car park… imagine the joy of the pinkies if that happens. Evertonians should start standing up for themselves and start lobbying our board forcibly ….WE ARE NOT PARTNERS OF TESCO, WE ARE NOT A TEAM FROM KIRKBY, WE ARE NOT AN AMERICAN FRANCHISE TO BE MOVED HERE AND THERE ON THE WHIM OF A 'PARTNER':- WE ARE EVERTON SUPPORTERS AND WE WILL NOT BE DISASSOCIATED OR REMOVED FROM OUR CORE FAN BASE…..…HERE IN THE CITY OF LIVERPOOL. County Rd Blue. (12/12/06) New Ground Just like to say that if Everton were to share a ground with the shite it would be the worst thing to happen for both teams! We would hate it and so would they! I'm still not sure what the best option for Everton football club is regarding the stadium but a ground share would be my last choice! Also lets get rid of Beattie and Wright and buy these 3 players from Copenhagen and Kevin Nolan! COYB!! Dan Ferrie (12/12/06) Away performance at Portsmouth 9th December 2006 I
hate to say this, but I believe that Mr Moyes has taken Everton as far
as he can, we are all aware of the obvious injury problems that we have,
but you do not have to be a genius to work out that the team he started
with at Portsmouth was the wrong selection. We all watch the game week
in, week out, and to be honest, Mr Moyes team tactics, his team selections,
and Plan B, ( if he ever has one ) leave a lot to be desired. Pompey Before
I start I want to make clear that I don't usually do this. But because
all 1300 Tickets were snapped up within a week for Pompey I called PFC
and bought a ticket next to the Evertonians but in with the Pompey fans.
I witnessed about 100 Evertonians getting kicked out which left loads
of seats when in the Everton supporters area there was no seats. The harassment
and barracking was just too much how the hell i didn't get arrested i
still can't work out especially when they sang you'll never walk alone
in the final minutes it was then I left. My main points are these. Ambition - Watch out for this one! Here
is one to bear in mind, given the strength of our squad at the moment
and our financial status, having lost 10 million...DAVID UNSWORTH...back
on loan from Sheff utd! Lack of foresight. Lack of understanding in football.
Lack of tactical knowledge and now Lack of funds! The fans are being duped
left, right and centre by the 'penny pinching' board members, who are
only in it for the money! I
am a young Evertonian living in the small city of Hereford. I am in the
last year of college and travelled to Liverpool Universities open day
to have a look around but also (and most importantly) to watch the mighty
Everton play the shittie. I am sure that you all remember the score, 1-1,
Sacrilege or Sense? How about moving into Analfield while they knock down and rebuild Goodison. Should only take a season. We were there first anyway. Sacrilege or sense? Drew. (12/12/06) MBE latest Tome Behave yourself Mickey. Got halfway through your last piece and you started raving about fascism (again). Don't mind any opinions that you may have about our great Club and the game of football in general, but you're starting to grate a bit. All you needed to say, was that we have to move with the times. There's no arguing with that. However, as a Club, we can only do what we can with the limited resources we have available to us. We're now competing against billionaires. So, unless we find our own sugar daddy we will have to make do with what we've got. There are possibly fifteen other clubs in the Premiership that know they won't be able to compete against England's representatives of the G14. But for the moment we will have to fight for the scraps. The European Super League is already with us under the guise of the Champions League. So it won't be long before a Super Premier League becomes reality. Then and only then will we witness something close to a level playing field for the rest of the teams in the Premiership and possibly the Football League. Let them pull away, but don't let them back in when it goes pear shaped. Does the Monopolies and Mergers policing body still exist? If so why are Chelsea allowed to monopolise titles and trophies? I admit that there have always been rich clubs, including Everton under the Moores dynasty, but the situation has become ridiculous. Football is a now a massive business, with much of the money being generated disappearing from the game. Perhaps there are too many people, who can make a difference, enjoying these benefits. I try to enjoy the game of football and following Everton. Although I remain optimistic, I can't yet see us moving away from Goodison. We won't be winning the title with what we've got, but we can kick a few arses and let people know we're here. Title contenders no, but we can have a bearing on the ups and downs of every other team we meet during the season. We might not win the title but if can beat other so-called title contenders 3-0, we must be doing something right. These are memories that stay with you forever. Memories of great days and nights at Goodison Park. Anyway, before I start droning on too, I'll wait until I'm sitting in my brand new seat in our new stadium. Until then I'm happy to live with what I've got. Try not to dwell too much on what should or could be. It's not worth it. Eddieparkend. COYB. (12/12/06) Ticket Prices I don't do away games very often, but when 2 of my friends said about the game at Reading as we are from the south west of Cornwall we thought we will go. I couldn't understand the price to get a ticket. Being a none member to Everton it's costing 36quid. That's a total rip off. How can you tell your son or daughter your beloved team charging those prices and you can't go. I know it's out of Everton's hand but what do these people think? Reading fc you're a joke. You're only a 1st division club and any other club who charges those similar prices. It's killing the game........ Rosseneri. (12/12/06) What Do You Think? Have your say! e-mail info@bluekipper.com |
