Manx Blues

I’m very sorry that Lee Dolman and little Chloe accidentally met some of the redsh**e that embarrassingly pollute the Isle of Man when they were on one of their sad outings off these shores. A few of these creatures can be found on the Island but are usually seen after dark.

I hope that Chloe can be reassured by her dad that all normal Manx people are Blues, that we have the largest supporters’ club membership on the Island, and in March will be hosting a double visit of both Howard Kendall and Joe Royle, who will be joining us for a few bevvies at another of our highly successful events. When we meet her, Chloe’ll gain a proper understanding of what a fine body of men and women the Manx really are. Manx Kipper (06/01/07)

Great Win Over Newcastle

First of all it was a great result after the draw with Boro. Arteta looked back to his best, Shandy Andy wasn't fantastic but his work rate and fitness levels looked 100% better than all his other games, Cars and Ossie worked well in the centre of midfield. Johnson as usual worked his pulled up socks off, Victor got 2 centre forwards goals in probably what wasn't his best game.Lescott has been fenomenal all season and didn't disappoint, Valente and him were contestants for Motm but Valente shadows it slightly, Yobo had an unnoticed but decent game and Phil Neville scuffed his shot but still scored from 20 yards and like me i think most Evertonians were made up for him. And last but not least Howard made some good saves and i really hope he stays with us. Hope we batter City next game COYB. Harry Jamieson. (31/12/06)

Victor On Blob

Although we caught Newcastle with a rather weakened team at least we got the result we wanted, it obvious to all that Shay Given was not fit and it showed, but thats not our problem, we set about them and Victor getting a brace hopefully will shut up the doubters, he is on a learning curb and with a little support from fans can become a fine player. We must go to City New Years day and equal our last away performance at Reading, but we are talking about Everton and here's hoping the real Everton turn up! Norman Merrill. (30/12/06)

European Place Still Possible

Looking at the table now does make me feel like we could be were the redshite are now considering the start of their season, but i am pleased we are still in the top 10, pushing for a top 6ish place and possibly a european place, to all those evertonians calling for moyes' head are a disgrace, call urselves true blues, cant get my head round the phone ins, the comments about moyes', next they will be saying AJs a diver it disgusts me,

the majority of the phone ins or emails posted are the redshite trying to stire the shite, i know loads of rednoses ( unfortunately) who actually admit to submitting emails to our bluekipper and the forums, plus ringing radio city, and 95.8, just to start debates like this one, fairdos, there are evertonians out there that do maybe feel like this but they need to look at what he's done for us, what he's got planned, were we are heading, etc....

one of the comments on the site b4 said, i would of taken a point from reading and 3 points from boro, we did that but opposite way round, so I'm happy apart from the result and the league position, I'm proud we are were we are, we will have tim on the bench for saturday (rumour), i fancy 3 points, hard game but 3 points. Sorry if its a bit long kipper but i needed to get this shit of the chest. nice 1 lads. Joe smith. DOMINGO VALE -ORIGINAL. (30/12/06)

EVERTON Wine

Don’t know if Browns EVERTON wine has ever cropped up on “Third Eye” but thought you might appreciate it. Have tried the wine and it is really good but am not sure about “red” and “white” combined with the great Everton name?!! Thanks for a great site….great entertainment every day! Richard. Mumbai, India. (30/12/06)

5 Star Service

I’ve been a season ticket holder in the Park End for many, many years but for the first time I bought my 7 year old son a half season ticket as part of his Xmas presents– first match against Boro yesterday. It’s been a tough task to get him there as his mum is a red as are most of his mates in school and his grandfather has tried in vain on many occasions to take him to Anfield – but it ain't happening in my lifetime.

My mate, my son and I get up to County Road just after 2 o’clock but the pubs were pretty packed so we decided to get into the ground handy and get a drink there. We got in easy enough and got in the queue at 2.30pm there were approx 5 people in front of us but 5 people serving so you’d think 5 minute wait max. Little did I know that EFC seem to employ people who have no system for serving, have never pulled a pint in their lives and act surprised that loads of people turn up on match days wanting to be served. Fifteen minutes go by before I reach the front – I order 2 pints of Chang a sausage roll and a Fanta – a veritable bargain at a tenner. I’m told that we can’t have lager as it has gone 2.45 i.e. 2.47. I’m then told that there are no sausage rolls left at this serving point – I ask them to get me one from one of the others and I’m told that they can’t. Frustrated and angry we take our seats without anything – even the policewoman is laughing at the woeful inadequacies of the EFC catering.

3.35 and the 7 year old is cold, hungry and bored. We decide to miss the last 10 minutes of the first half in search of a drink and something to eat. We get in a different queue – 4 people in front of us this time – but again 5 people serving so we are comfortable at this point. The staff are wandering around and mumbling to each other but no serving – a man in front loses patience – he’s been there since 2.30 and missed a fair chunk of a game he’s paid £30 to watch – the staff get more flustered and one girl looks close to tears – she pulls a pint that is 90% head and doesn’t know what to do. People calm down but it’s still frustrating – 20 minutes later and its 3.55 – we are next. Hungry by now we decide to go for the steak pie – an absolute bargain at £3.20. We notice a meal deal where you can have a beer and a pie for £5.50 and a kid’s burger and drink for £4 – f*****g robbery but desperate times. We are told that it’s too late for the beers and there are no pies left. We ask for anything hot – sorry no – nothing left. We return to our seats cold, hungry and thirsty – the 7 year old wants to go home. He doesn’t like Everton anymore and the games rubbish. I don’t really have to continue.

We waited nearly an hour in total to give Everton £15 for £8 worth of stuff and couldn’t do it, no matter how hard we tried. Behind us where dozens of people intent on doing the same but sadly unable to hand over the money. Mr Wyness needs to realise that you could increase the revenue massively by being able to sell the goods to your market. The new stadium will no doubt concentrate on the self employed looking for a good tax dodge and corporate entertainment but the man who is looking for an overpriced pie and a pint of flat Chang is still worth knowing.

If I had a market where idiots who are blind with loyalty are willing to pay me £3.20 for a pie I would be a millionaire within weeks. I would sell those 80p pies at 300% profit 24 hours a day – I would employ hundreds of people on the minimum wage to dole them out – I’d have row upon row of self service lager pumps – saving me even paying the minimum wage to knobs that cant serve – I would have it down to a fine art because a captive market of thirsty, hungry idiots with deep pockets is my dream!!!!!! Everton’s facilities and catering staff are a joke – and this is in the new stand built for the modern game! What’s it like in the Bullens??

How can our club keep the kids???? I’ve got a son that’s not seen anything to keep him interested – he’s upset at his Xmas present. Our best effort is a tent in the car park and sausage rolls you can’t get for love nor money. I hate to say it but we are light years behind everybody and a million miles away from the red s***e. Don’t even bother to say that you’ve outsourced the catering facility and it’s their operation – EFC are responsible no matter what!!!!!! Patrick Goodison. (30/12/06)

Stop Bashing your fellow Non Mersey Blues

I Love Everton. Always have and Always Will. I am from Dublin and I get over as often as I can. Most Seasons I buy the Home Jersey and sometimes the Away Jersey as well. My 2 children and my wife are fully kitted out with various Toffee Merchandise as well. If I travel over twice in a year - I end up shelling out more for air fares / hotels / food & Drink & Entertainment than most Season ticket Holders pay each year for seeing the Blues at Home 19 times plus priority for Cup Games.

We all know and accept that our Season ticket holders are the Backbone of Everton FC but if we are to grow as a club. We have to Attract and Value our Fan base from outside Merseyside too. It's not only the Red Shite's that Attract a Large outside Fan base and pointing this "fact" out constantly is demeaning to us Outside True Blues. On the Stadium Issue - We should wait until ALL of the cards from All sides are laid out on the Table. C O Y B. Darren Cowzer - Dublin. (30/12/06)

Charlie Hengler R.I.P.

As long standing Friend it's with Sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of CHARLIE HENGLER former manager of the BLUE HOUSE PUB who died of a heart attack. All our thoughts are with DOREEN and his family at this sad time. Norman Merrill. (30/12/06)

Andy Johnson

I don't think Andy Johnson will score again from inside the penalty box this season. Defenders know they can bring him down and will get away with it. It started when we played Arsenal and Arsene Wenger started this campaign of "he's a diver". This also proves that referees haven't a brain in there head and can't think for them selves. Every one in football is accountable for there actions except referees, it's time for a change.
Managers only say these things because they are afraid of AJ and the problems he causes defenders. Mike Kendrick.

Vic and Vaughany are our future

Yes, I believe Moyes got it right against Chelsea. I'm still crying we didn't get at least a point when we raped them in the first half. Starting with Vic was a gamble which I believe paid off and I wouldn't give Biff the steam off my piss. Vic and Vaughany are our future (though Id love to see Nugent in jan), Biffs a waste of money (keep to drinking).

Arteta's world class but needs better players around him to utilise his talent, he tired past 60mins but was best player until then, Vic was industrious and a real handful, Lescott and Nev outstanding. Howard could have done better on the free kick but we were beaten by class goals. We need Aj to start scoring and we are in dire need of 3 points now as shit around us are creeping up. Zippy. London's Finest Blue. (30/12/06)

Fine all round performance at READING.

That performance equalled our last away victory at Spurs and what a delight for A J the smile on his face was as wide as the BLUE Mersey, for me the victory and all round display by the boys was a result of Moyes restoring YOBO & LESCOTT to the centre of the defence, may it long continue. Lets do the double at home against our N.E. rivals and make it a very HAPPY XMAS. Norman Merrill (24/12/06)

Happy Christmas

Twas the fixture (H v Chelski) before Xmas and not a soul was stirring not on the pitch or the dugout. I know the the 25th is nearly here but its about time we changed our kit to a red one and started sporting white beards (but not like Abel shithouse Zavier) the number of gifts we give away.

The pundits will be saying how great Chelskis 2 strikes were. They were only good cos we gave them the present of a free shot. I wrote a while ago with my thoughts on Moyes but unfortunately half never got printed (is that dizzy bird still in the office randomly erasing e-mails??) No need to go on again. If he really is the Moysiah isn't this his time of year. Somehow I doubt it His time is well and truly over. "Joseph" (Moyes) and "Mary" (Irvine) should realise there is no room at the Goodison "Inn" anymore and piss off to the Championship "Stable" and raise their family.
It is after all the season of goodwill. So give us the Xmas present most of us desire. Your resignation. And take the two wise men "King" Ken and "King" Bully with you. Merry Xmas to one and all see you Boxing day. Chris B (the original Wirral Blue) (24/12/06)

Reading Game

I though the first half performance against Reading was probably the best half of football we've played all season and inn the seconda half we did the job and killed the game with faddy's goal. Great performance boys!! Joleon Lescott is the best defender in the whole WORLD!!! Everyone was superb though!!!! Thanks Andy. (23/12/06)

Time to stop the Beattie nonsense!

It is really starting to grate that James Beattie is getting so much stick ! In case nobody realises he has played just two full games this season. One against mighty Peterborough and the other against Man ure. I may be wrong but I think he was even subbed, late on, against West Ham when he was having his best game for yonks.

Nobody can possibly expect any sort of performance from somebody who is not getting regular games. Against Chelski he was brought on in the 91st minute ! Might be just me but that strikes me as a bit late to have any real effect on the game. David Moyes decided that the team was better off playing AJ on his own up front with Cahill just behind him. That worked pretty well until we were sussed out again and then Cahill got injured. Then AJ got injured and who did we pair Beattie up with ? James "I'm a striker" McFadden. What chance has the bloke got eh ? The Charlton game ? Nuff said. If Beattie gets a run of three or four games and does not perform I will be one of the first on here whinging. All the time he is mucked about by David Moyes he has my sympathy. 81 minutes gone and beating Chelski. Lose 2-3. A gutted Blue. John.

Chelsea Game

Speaking as an Evertonian straddled in far-flung Singapore, I've never believed that I'd be able to meet the players in person or even get acquainted with them should the opportunity ever arose. However, events on Sunday shook me, moved me so much that I thought to myself, I shall never ever 'leave' Everton. The performance was full of effort, commitment and desire, and the result certainly merited more rather than the rough justice of two goals conceded in the last ten minutes. At least some players bothered to try when odds are stacked against them.
Everton by and large should have been the top dogs in Merseyside, if not for the rent dispute in 1892, and top dogs in England, if not for the subsequent ban after Heysel. My heart goes out for Everton. What's the point of being in love with someone when I can give my total affection to Everton? Ong Jiing Yih. Singapore

Referee's and The Chelsea Game

I am rather amused at the level of referee standard in English football since Arse Wenger made that deliberate accusation about Andrew Johnson "diving". This man started it off and the silly referees over there read what he said and thought "Oh we must keep an eye on him if Arse says he dives". Since that remark Johnson's lack of goals has surely affected his mindset and the guys scoring form has gone to zip. Maybe someone should make a remark about Arsenals players and everyone else for that matter who week in and week out trip over their own legs and dive for a penalty and get it. Those players to who dive should be listed and let the refs read their names. Well maybe we should do that. Van persal is one player who blatantly handles the ball to get a better shot, and gets away with it. Its about time the refs got their act together. Why oh why don't you have video refs over there? I can tell you now, if you had them in soccer, the fans wouldn't get so abusive and fight because the decision of the video ref would be final, not some noddy professing to be one on the field. Hose Morinho should learn to speak English before he opens his mouth. Ann. (21/12/06)

Mourinho

What an absolute disgrace this person is. I won't call him a man 'cause he's far from it. To have a go, not only during the post match interview, but during the game actually running up and down the touchline screaming his bile at one of our players was disgusting. Moyesy would have been quite within his rights to put the idiot on his arse. Obviously Davey is above all that.

Having just read the statement that the Club and AJ's agent have made, makes you realise the bad publicity, for Club and player alike, that can be generated by this fool's inane ranting. I won't hold my breath waiting for any response or action from the Premier League, or the Manager's committee for that matter. After all, he's one of the 'TOP' managers That's my rant over. Well done to the lads for their team performance in the game on Sunday. We more than matched them for the majority of the time and deserved at least a point for their efforts. Eddieparkend COYB. (21/12/06)

Unlucky

I have to say, why is that two games on the trot Howard has been beaten from at least 25 yards. Don’t get me wrong as much as I hate to say it both goals were fantastic strikes but if only he stood a yard further back would he have saved them? Despite the goals from Lamppost and Dog bark, ball sack also scored yet I have nothing to say except, yes it was a good strike but should it have been a free kick and how unlucky was Howard. Tim has been fantastic for us and it’s a shame Fergie will be taking him away from us but I can’t help but think to myself was 1 of the goals from both games his fault? Anyway apart from that I must admit I can’t really fault much else, ok it was not our best performance but I thought we worked hard, passed the ball but most of all the players gave 100% and when it comes to all us fans I think you will agree that is all that matters. It was nice to hear the best part of 30000 fans left in the ground at the end singing there heart out to show there support to the players and Moysie. Win or lose we showed our boys what being and evertonian is all about and if we can do that every game our support will be returned and we will be back at the top sooner rather than later. C’mon you blue boys. EFC Daryl Long (21/12/06)

Gary Kelly

Is there any way of letting David Moyes know that there is a perfectly good right full currently rotting away at Leeds Utd who could solve his immediate short term needs, Gary Kelly the ex republic of Ireland player has had a major falling out with Denis Wise and is now just waiting until his retirement in the summer. He plans to hang up his boots and head home to Drogheda when his contract is up in the summer, he is officially listed as injured but he isn’t at all. He would be an ideal short term right full until Hibbert gets back and you could get him in on loan. He is certainly still good enough to do a short term job. Irish Blue. Gary D. (20/12/06)

Harry Leyland Tribute Photo

I think the person who was on the photo with Harry,T E Jones and Eggo was fullback Jimmy Tansey. Norman Merrill. (20/12/06)

Dead Wood

It is no secret that our beloved club hasnt got a pot to piss in. To state the obvious, this makes it very hard to sign high quality players. Getting to the point, there is a lot of dead wood floating around Goodison at the moment. Wright Davies,McFadden,Naysmith and Beattie. If i was to be more cinical i would name a few more, but these players are on huge wages and we are wasting money we havent got.At least 2 have to go in January and the rest at the end of the season. Of course these players need to be replaced and as i said, without a lot of money this will be hard.

So Mr Moyes, time to get your finger out and do a bit of wheelin & dealin, and bring in some players who deserve to wear the Famous Royal Blue Jersey. Unfortunately for us i think it will be very hard to get a good selling price for any of these players,in my opinion, cut yer losses Moyesy and get rid now.

So after a promising start to the season are we falling back to mediocrity? Time will tell. Without our best players Cahill, Artreta we have no cover and we will struggle. That is very sad for a club as big as Everton, but its a fact and if we dont make a vast improvement we will lose these players. That is a proven fact. There is lots of time left this season to get things back on track. Are the players up for it? Time will tell.If Moysey can pull a couple of good buys in January the future will be a lot brighter,if he cant manage this then i fear another dull season ending in mid table mediocore. If this is the case i predict David Moyes will resign as manager. Would this be a good thing? Watch this space. Ste OConnor
. (20/12/06)

Lee Hendrie

Doing wonders on loan at Stoke! Stoke would love him to stay but wages are where it falls down. Insider at SCFC let me know that he defo wants away from O’Neil and Hendries family are settled at Cannock. Hendrie discounts any move to another Brum Club. Chris. (20/12/06)

Barclays Fan Of The Month

Sorry for some unashamed trumpet blowing here but I have been nominated for December's Fan of the Month and your support would be most welcome, especially as one of the other candidates is a Red who shamelessly is quoted as saying "you can't let a Blue win". Perhaps pass it on to your Toffee mates?

Promise of shaving tache off - on the pitch at stake here!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Daniel. TD. (20/12/06)
