Whose Steering The Ship I would prefer to stay at a redeveloped Goodison Park or move to a new ground within the city limits. Having said that what the fuck do we have at the helm of Everton FC? If Bill Kirkby Kenwrong and Bully Tesco Witless have no Plan B they are not fit for purpose and should do the gentlemanly thing and fuck off now. These two make Ken Bates look like sane individual and that takes some doing. Is Kenwrong waiting for a new stadium to built; Kirkby, Dark side of the Moon, Anywhere, so that Everton eventually become an attractive investment prospect to some offshore squillionaire? Then cash in and disappear back whence he came. Kenwrong might be a true Evertonian but then so are my two Labradors and they have about as much cash to spend on the club as he has. Yours Rantingly, Jim Parry, Crosby Blue. (18/07/07) I like every other Blue would love to stay and redevelop our home which is Goodison Park. To make a state of the art stadium that can provide Everton's needs for the next 100 years on the current site however is a no brainer. Our Grand Old Ground is well past its sell by date, and we definitely need another one, that I think 100% Blues are all agreed on. Now facts time, we are skint, why, well my view is that after John Moores fortune left the Blues no long term business plan was ever in place, and today like the European ban of twenty years ago, we are still paying the price. We lurched from one catastrophe to another, Dr. David Marsh in the early 90's, a man of good intention, but no business acumen, Peter Johnson, took more out of the club than he ever put in, and now Blue Bill the saviour when he ousted Johnson is cast as the latter day villain, for not coming up with the financial means to take us forward. Now this is were I see that the problem lies. We have 13 (I think) Executive Suites, the same as when we pioneered these facilities in the early 1980's under Mr Moores. We have built a few temporary suites by the Park End, and from my seat (season ticket holder since 1977), I notice that on some lesser matches these boxes are not full. We put the business people in a tent in the car park, and expect them to part with lots of cash for our club. We moan that no decent cash is being spent on players, but the fact is we have broken our own transfer record in the last two season with Beattie and Johnson. On the playing side, it is the best I have seen in the last ten years, so on that point I am relatively happy. The City Council have a lot to answer for, especially giving that shower from over Stanley Park the only decent green space left in the North End of the city. So we are were we are, skint, and with no immediate prospect of raising serious cash whilst we stay in Goodison. We can't have it both ways, money does not grow on tree's so we have to finance the long term prosperity of Everton Football Club now. Now along comes one of the most respected and profitable companies in the Country, and they have said they will build us a stadium, but the cost is we have to move half a mile out of the City boundary, oh and by the way our financial input will be minimal. Win, win, win for me. Stay in the North End of the City, yes the City, you try telling anyone that lives in Kirkby they are not Scousers and they will laugh you out of the place. Good motorway networks, admittedly the public transport infrastructure will need updating, but we are today, were we where twenty years ago. Maybe in another twenty years time, the new money generated from increased attendances, better corporate facilities will put us back were we belong, but if we shout and scream and get hung up about a quarter of a mile in distance, we will continue to be the also ran's that we are today. I have to laugh about losing our fan base, as yes we have a good local base, but are you telling me that 38,000 fans who attend week in week out all live in Walton. Fans travel now the length and breadth of the country, Ireland, Wales to support our beloved Club, so lets stop the bickering, grasp the moment and put Everton Football Club's back as one of the top clubs in the country. Mike (18/07/07) Stay Put In Liverpool Can i just start by saying that I am totally disgusted by the attitude and contempt shown by Mr Ebeneezer Kenwright and his band of merry scrooges!!! How dare they assume that because I am not a current season ticket holder, that i don't want a vote in the future of this GREAT club of ours. Was it you MR Kenwright who said that you where a custodian of the club? Was it you who said that the club would be here long after you died??? The way i see it at the moment is that you and your board seem hell bent on kirkby and the team building seems to be low on the agenda. Did Mr Kenwright and board not see the disaster of our last fleeting trip to europe??? Were no lessons learnt???? I
actually fear for our team in europe and fear for our place within the
top flight of english football with the changes that seem to be occurring.
Teams like Wigan, Brum, Sunderland all spending money to ensure their
survival in our league.......and what do we do.........get rid of 3 and
buy one so far. Oh yes....then we scrimp and save to get 30 year old players
ON LOAN!!! What a complete joke this all seems to be........but hey.......we
are in uefa this coming season.......and i am sure we will take more crap
off them red shites , just like 2 years ago..........this can all prevented......but
MR kenwright......show us whether you and your board have a set of balls
and let our manager spend a little in harrods rather than Financial Sense I
would have liked to see both Liverpool and Everton share a stadium but
that is never going to happen. I think Everton now need to look at new
stadia as times are changing and we have been at a amazing ground for
100 years or more but where that stadium should be I do not know. If we
get a deal where tesco will build this stadium at a cost of £10
mill to Everton will it be ours or Tescos. Not Kirkby As A ORIGINAL Member of The G F E group during the Dark Days of Peter Johnson, BILL KENRIGHT told us HE supported us 100% to fight and stay at GOODISON ,as a Lifelong EVERTONIAN and also live by the ground I am appalled that the consultation PROMISED has not taken place, with supporters and residents. KEEP EVERTON IN THE CITY, AND SPEAK TO YOUR NEIGHBOURS I am Sure they have an opinion. Innkeeperpolly (18/07/07) Bigger Picture It’s a win win situation all round. I really don’t want to see Everton leave the city but you have to look at the bigger picture. At most we have about 10 boxes in the ground which compared to other premiership stadiums is small. Our current ground is full or history and character but it just doesn't’t provide Everton with a foundation that a new stadium does. If what the big cheese says is true then getting an almost free stadium is fantastic! We are still in a little debt and to start getting ourselves into more in not in Everton’s best interests. Other sites that supporters groups have found are a possibility but will the council and Tesco stump up a lot of the funding??!! I very much doubt it. Also look and ManU, their ground is not in the heart of the city but do you hear their fans crying about it?? This is an opportunity not to be missed and if it does fall through I can see Everton not progressing for quite some time. Don’t let your heart rule your head, with very little debt for the new stadium the money saved and generated from bigger gates etc can hopefully go towards team rebuilding. Moyes has said it himself, we just can’t compete with the money that is being brandished around by the like of Spurs, one of our main rivals! Moving to this stadium will generate new life into Everton and secure our future Jon Elliott (18/07/07) Council To Blame How can Bradley now say that the problem has been the exclusivity! We have been looking at the possibility of a ground for ages, we voted years ago on Kirkby Golf Course. The fact is Liverpool City Council have done next to nothing for us over the years, not just the last couple of months Bradley. The Lib Dems were voted in Liverpool trumpeting two big issues at that time, no increase in Council Tax and they would protect parks and gardens from development - then they let Liverpoo destroy Stanley Park with a 60,000 seater stadium - talk about bending over backwards!!! Mike Kostrzewski (18/08/07) I Support Everton Not Liverpool City Council We
support Everton. Not Liverpool city. We support Blue. Not the roads and
streets around the centre of Liverpool. We support the history of a great
club. Not the bars and pubs that we go in before kick off. We support
Tim Cahill, Mikel Arteta, Andy Johnson. Not the little red that is running
across Stanley park, and whose parents are to be blamed. Keep The City Blue I know am only 17 and i havn't seen Goodison or Everton in their glory days (hopefully returning soon) but i cant see why any blue would want us to move. I have read a lot of the e-mails that have been sent in on this subject and most of them seem to want to keep Everton in Liverpool. But also there is a large number of people saying we should move and a lot these people are only reacting to what the council have acted like. Forget the council were the heart and soul of this city, not them or those Norwegian bastards that come for the weekend. Pricks! Why cant we re-generate Goodison? do what the mancs did and look at their ground now. If that is not possible, there are loads of other places to build in the city not in the middle of bloody nowhere! If we move were surrendering the right to call yourself the peoples club, we are surrendering the city to those wankers across the park. How can we when we win a trophy parade it around Liverpool if we move? Keep OUR club in Liverpool. Keep OUR city blue. Great site lads love it keep up the good work. COYB. Tiffa (18/07/07) Make The Right Choice Let's get things into perspective here. Do you really think the club won't move if the vote went against it? We are moving and I think that we have to get that into our heads. Whilst some are concentrating on derailing the idea, we should be demanding that we have a say on what the ground will look like. I am concerned that we are going to end up with a Blue Reebok Stadium. What a shame that would be be as it's a shithole. When we were looking to move to the King Dock I was behind it. It looked amazing on it's plans. It would have changed Liverpool's waterfront. No longer would it be the Liver Bird from the shite's badge taking the focus, it would have been our stadium. It didn't come off but the planning was there. We read article's about Everton studying stadiums in Holland, Italy and Brazil. What have we been told this time? Nothing. A meeting with Kirkby residents. What exactly was shown to them? It looked like a sketch made up during a piss up at the Queens! All I want is for Everton to make the right choices of what the ground is going to look like. Look at The Emirates. It looks good. A bit of thought and planning to make sure we don't end up at the New Riverside. If we see the plans, look at them and realise that it's more than just a lego set, i'd be happy. We are moving and there is NOTHING that we can do about it. It's too expensive to redevelop Goodison. I'd love to stay but it's not going to happen. And how long can we live in the shadow of United and the Shite? They have huge stadiums and revenue streaming in. We have a couple of boxes and a tent in a car park! It's not just about the money, it's fuckin embarrassing! So let's do it. Move to a new fantastic state of the art stadium. Take parts of the San Siro, Wembley, even the Old Goodison, and make it our new home. We are moving, let's just hope that Kenwright remembers the words 'Nil Satis Nisi Optimum' rather than 'Tesco Bonus Card Points'. Jaffa, Australia Blue (16/07/07) Rebuild Goodison I
don't think your partners suggestion is bad either, why not rebuild Goodison.
As you say the Mancs did it why not us? If the two grounds have similar
ground size, there shouldn't be a problem, but I must admit when I look
at the grounds on the TV and see people so high up they are having a meal
with the Lord, it does scare you somewhat - and do they get a good look
at the game or do they look through binoculars? What happened to the water Stay or Go I have been sitting on the fence about the ground move but thought that perhaps, looking at the big picture, a move to Kirkby would be the right thing for us to do financially speaking, so at this stage I am all for the move. But it would hurt me so much to leave the City to "that lot", especially as we were here first. Who leaves the poker table when they still have a great hand? Having seen the proposed site of the possible new ground I do not think it achieves one of the biggest factors previously bandied about as a solid reason to move i.e. it will NOT avoid traffic congestion problems on match days that we currently have at Goodison Park. You can see that I have changed my mind again at this stage and am against Kirkby. So, I thought, why don't we buy Gwladys Street School and ALL of the houses in the two small streets behind the school so we can build a new and magnificent Goodison Park just a few yards away from where we are now with plenty of extra car parking spaces? Sadly the reason is that we simply cannot afford it because Tesco's or anyone else would not see the site as a viable financial opportunity for them also. I believe that we do need a "financial partner" to help us pay for the new ground as we simply cannot afford it on our own and I believe this is the biggest reason to consider a partnership with Tesco or anybody else with enough cash. So I think I have concluded that redeveloping Goodison Park is a financial non-starter unless we can find some rich benefactor that can find a away to make a turn on it for themselves without leaving EFC destitute and this is extremely unlikely. So I am back to thinking a move away from Goodison is the most favourable but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE not outside the City and certainly NOT KIRBY, which just does not tick enough boxes. Peter (16/07/07) Come Into The Real World Having read all the previous e-mails on this subject, I thought I’d give my view. As someone who’s watched the blues for 42 years I think that my beloved club no longer live in the real world. Our average gate is (say) 37,000, the new stadium will hold 55,000 – average new gate (say) 51,000. We will also have to pay rent to our owners, which we don’t at the moment so where’s the huge amount of extra money coming from? Man City were given a new stadium, pay rent & generally fill it but are still in debt! The only way to compete on a level playing field with the “top” 5 or 6 clubs is for us to be bought by a moneybags {as City were]. If we’re not going to be bought, why move, why alienate people? It’s p*ssing in the wind. Of course West End Bill would have to give up his moment in the sun – so no chance there then. Keith from Childwall (16/07/07) Maine Road Ghost Town I'm gonna make this short and too the point. I love coming to Goodison (I live in manc) it's got character, history and most importantly its very loud and compact. As I live in Manchester I know a lot of City fans, they moved to a new ground, which compared to a lot of new stadiums is very impressive, then again it was built for the commonwealth games. THEY HATE IT!!!, they wish they'd stayed at Maine Road and redeveloped, NO ATMOSPHERE THEY SAY!! and its miles from where it used to be (still closer than Kirby from Goodison!). Why cant they knock down the Park End which only has a 5,500 capacity (and is an eye sore) and build upwards, if they built a 20,000 stand there the capacity would be 55,000 and since we have problems filling 40,000 then taadaa! PROBLEM SOLVED MR KENWRIGHT!!. You've sold the best player we've ever produced for peanuts, you under invested when Moysey got us in the Champions League and now your gonna move us to the middle of nowhere. Cheers mate. Oh and by the way, the area where Maine Road used to be is a ghost town (think on Everton dwellers) Paul Filgate (Mancunian Evertonian) (16/07/07) Aaaaggghh! Just read 'the voting system is right by Paul 11/07/07. Who do you think you are? Just because you can save for your season ticket doesn't mean you are more of an Evertonian than me or anybody else. I had a season ticket in the lower Gwladys for years until my kids all got to the age were they all wanted to come. Now I either get myself a season ticket and come with my mates and my 4 kids miss out on the experiences that I had going to the match with my dad, or I sacrifice my ticket and bring them to as many games as I can get them too. I come to almost every home game and bring 2 of them every time. And I couldn't do if I had a season ticket. I pay a lot more than 3 times the amount that you pay to get to home games as well as at least 10 away games a season. It's bad enough that sometimes we will miss out on games against the Shite and the Mancs because you lot buy up all the tickets for your fair-weather friends. But for you to think that because you budget differently for your ticket you are more of a supporter than me is thick and ignorant. I made my sacrifice a few years back and the result will be 4 staunch Evertonian's buying their own season tickets for along time to come. I'm pretty sure that the morons with £ signs in their eyes making these decisions couldn't give a toss about that and therefore I will have no say and to be honest I am glad because however people vote, we all know Tesco's will win. However Goodison should go nowhere and if it has to there is no way on gods green earth we should be leaving the city. Why are we so soft? I would love somebody to go up north and tell Celtic to leave Glasgow!!! Because they would be scull dragged out of the city and burnt at the steak. We all think we are great supporters but we are going the way of Wimbledon and we are letting people fool us into thinking it's different because it's just a couple of miles away. If Kenwright was the Evertonian he says he is he wouldn't even consider it and neither would you. Darren Runcorn (16/07/07) You Need To Go To Vote Why do people who, at most “attend one or two matches a season” think they have the right to dictate to season ticket holders where we spend twenty-something days a year? I don’t care if you do live in Outer Mongolia, have no money because you’ve devoted your life to caring for trees threatened with extinction and if you were cut in half it would say “Everton” right through you like a stick of rock – if you don’t bloody go regularly you shouldn’t have an equal right to say where it is you don’t go when we do. Old Fart (16/07/07) Lets Move On I have been attending Goodison since 1946. In those days, it was thought to be the finest football stadium in the country. Times change, but what should have been a state of the art main stand in 1970, became less than that, with, incredibly enough, restricted views. Was the cause of that particular design, the fact of the amount of ageing property on Goodison Road? Goodison Park is hemmed in. It cannot be expanded like Old Trafford, which had so much ground around the stadium. What would be the cost of replacing the Bullens Road or Gwladys Street stands? Or even up-dating them? The cost would be enormous. Everton F.C. unlike yester-year, do not have the finances for such an undertaking. We have little enough as it is, when we look at the recent transfer activity. To stay at Goodison would put us further and further behind in the rankings. If someone is going to build us a new stadium, we have no option. Let's go for it! Bluey (16/07/07) I've lived in London almost all my life and been an Evertonian for 30 years but am concerned that the plans for a new stadium in Kirkby could be seriously flawed. Firstly the city of Liverpool will have only one club (Red shite) and this will surely signal a decline in local support over the forthcoming years. Everton FC traditionally gains its support from local people and I can tell you that there ain't to many Blue noses south of the wirral, Liverpool FC, however has as many supporters in North London as either of the big 2 local teams judging by the number of posturing glory hunters strutting around in red shirts. The club can not afford to relinquish local territory if it is to recapture its place amongst the best teams in the country. Just as important is the need to avoid building an identikit stadium devoid of character and uniqueness. So many stadiums built from scratch appear to be bland and soulless, whilst failing to generate the kind of atmosphere that the likes of Goodison manage to do. There is also the real concern of access to a stadium which lacks rail links of the type needed to get thousands to and from the ground efficiently. The clubs owners need to be bullish in their dealings with Liverpool city council and try every means possible to keep Everton FC within the City limits rather than allowing LFC exclusive rights to the city. However, if no such site can be found then may I suggest that the club considers a move to London N19, where it will then be pos' for me to get the season ticket I've always dreamed of getting. P.S 1 defender, 1 left sided midfielder and another attacking midfielder required (Manuel Fernandes, please) for UEFA tilt. Mark S. Cockney Blue. (16/07/07) Tesco Is The Answer For
the past six months now I have kept an ever watchful eye on the progress
of the ground move. I have soaked in the opinions of both sides, and
had Regenerating Goodison park is not an option. The club would lose by my estimation of ticket sales between 5 and 7 million pounds a year depending on which stand you were working on. That represents near enough half of evertons annual summer spending spree, so you can expect cut backs on the transfer market, and with that goes a realistical chance of european qualification. The big question is how much is it going to cost to knock down the existing stands one by one and then rebuild them and can we afford it without substantial backing. The answer simply is NO Bill kenwright has not got the money to finance that kind of regeneration project. He has an estimated fortune of around 150 million pounds which if he threw it all in and re mortgaged his house would finance the re building of main stand and and possibly second tier of the park end. Kenwright as well as the other investors have not got the financial clout to back a project like that one. It needs an investor with a hell of a lot of money, cue Tesco. Tesco is worth billions of pounds, they are the largest UK owned Food distributor in the country, They're massive wealth will never diminish, it will continue to grow as long as mouths need feeding. So imagine a potentially endless river of corporate investment. With Tesco Everton have an opportunity to become globally recognized. Think of the marketing that will come with a company that size, Television advertisements. Radio, Banners. etc. Spend 100 quid in-store and get 20% discount on match day tickets all that type of bullocks. All sorts of promotions would surface. The ground would be near enough full week in week out. From Tesco's point of view to re generate the old ground is not a good investment for them or for anybody else. It doesn't represent the same capital return as a new ground does. At first i did agree with those concerned that the ground if built in kirkby would be a little like the reebok and the ricoh stadium in coventry, in that they were surrounded by endless parking spaces and no pubs. But then i thought about the injection of money that the stadium could bring to kirkby town centre and realised that the likes of Yates, Chicago Rock and Wetherspoons are not gonna sit on the fence and let an investment opportunity like that sail on by. I predict that if the kirkby ground plans went ahead, within 2 years you'd have 2 out of the 3 mentioned already there in place for when the ground opens as well as a host of other amenities to accommodate the fans on match days. It's just smart business sense on their part if they do so. I have to agree with the email sent in by Nhoj Nagoom. Moving to kirkby will make us a much better proposition and a far greater attraction. We're going down the same path as Dein (close friend of Kenwright) went with Arsenal. This is a done deal, Darren Liderth (16/07/07) Vote No To Kirkby Only
giving season ticket holders a vote is sadly the only way. Otherwise
the gobshites will disguise themselves as Blues and vote for Kirkby.
Maybe those with 30+ home stubs from the last 3 seasons too, but I dunno
how practical these things are. For those who favour a move, just how
many extra millions do they think we'll generate each year (given that
I have read with interest all the comments about where we should be in a few years. Goodison, Kirkby or wherever!! I think we should all take a step back and look at the whole picture. What matters today is money, in the football world anyway, and if you have money you build a team or if you are rich enough buy a team. I know people will say you can’t buy success…..This was true until the Russian moved in. In Everton’s case we don’t have the amount of money to build a team to compete with the top teams never mind buy one. What do we need? A way to get the sort of money to compete. The first thing is to stay in the premiership, we will. The second thing is to get a new ground, with all new facilities for a modern football fan. Do you know that Man United sell more dinners, than we get supporters at home games. The third thing is get a top sponsor with all the money in the world. As a bluenose for all of my life, I find it hard year after year, struggling to stay in a league we used to win now and again, but nearly always give a good account of ourselves. We used to be considered a part of the big five, a top club; we used to buy the top players. Money was never an issue. I want those days back. I don’t want to carry on struggling. I don’t want to carry on getting the Mickey taken out of me and the club by other clubs. I want pride and dignity. I can see that we have progressed over the last few years and I do think David Moyes is a top manager. I also think that we will find it harder this season than last. We are still buying players just below top class which should make us a top half team next season, but not good enough to compete with the top five. I think the Kirkby deal will go through and it will make us a better proposition to be bought by a big spender. My wish would be to have the same offers in Liverpool, but I think Tesco’s have the city sewn up, hence Kirkby. I think this is a done deal. I hope what I have predicted makes people realise that we are Everton FC, not a ground or place, and we will be there forever. Nhoj Nagoom. (11/07/07) I
had the great pleasure of attending the Genesis concert last night at
the "Theatre of dreams", well that's what the sign said. The
concert was From the start I have been a 'lets move to anywhere as long as it is a new stadium' voter, but over the months and reading all the web sites (except EFC as they don't say anything) and the many many e-mails to this site I now find myself wanting to stay at Goodison even if it means only having a three sided stadium for a couple of years, Its our home and we should not leave even if it changes beyond recognition, look at Old Trafford. I WILL be one of the voters, if we get that far, and as of today and given the details of the vote allow me, I will vote to stay and redevelop. Old Trafford is very high on three sides and I believe they have permission to develop the main stand to be the same as the other three sides, god knows how many it will hold then. Apart from the red seats it looks great and I would like to believe we could have a smaller version, I like to be high up and would relish a seat in a third tier and I would like to have a pint in the Taxi club before the game. Maybe its the nostalgia of watching a 30 year old band banging out the hits of yester year (mega) and maybe its because I remember the dump that was Old Trafford from the 70's, that's probably unfair as all the stadiums were dumps for the standing public, but it has made me think that Everton is Goodison and lets stay for another 100 years please. We can redevelop and stay, if the mancs can do it so can we. Keep the faith. Peter from Huyton. (11/07/07) Rebuild Goodison Just rebuild Goodison ffs and stick the middle finger up at "Liverpool" city council, while singing "We shall not be moved" Mike Cannell. (11/07/07) Conspiracy Theory I'm
not a great one for conspiracy theories but I wonder if we're all missing
a trick here. When we look at all the new investment in the Now I'm one of Bill Kenwright's greatest fans, supporters have a lot to thank him for after the Johnson debacle, but he wouldn't be human if he didn't think about recouping his investment (with a life presidency thrown in of course), bungalow in Southport, caravan for his Nan, etc. I guess we have to choose between a gentle decline, or joining the snouts at the trough because that's the way football's going. I'm not sure I have the taste for swill. Ta. Craig Harry. (11/07/07) Walton Hall Park The only place for our new stadia is Walton Hall Park. What's good for the s'''''te's good enough for us....Lets go for it..... Roy. Widnes. (11/07/07) Stop knocking season ticket holders. I save all year round for my ticket. I now live in Cheshire, and I'm sick of giving my parking money to some nobody! Goodison Park now looks like an old lady who should retire to llandudno. These people who want to stay put are drunkards, who want to be able to walk from pub to pub. They pay £30 every couple of weeks and try to tell me they have as much right to a voice as me. Paul. (11/07/07) We've Got To Move It seems to me that a new stadium is something Everton are going to have to do and I'm in total support of the idea. Yes I understand the views of many fans of surrendering the city, and the leaving of a stadium which has bought so many memorable games, the 4 all draw with the shite in 91, the comeback against Bayern, and the win against Arsenal last season. The truth of the big picture is that the club has gone as far as Goodison Park can take it. In order to compete with the big boys we need more money. A new stadium would not just bring money from prem matches, but from internationals, fa cup semi finals, and even athletics meetings (should the stadium have a running track). I also think that a stadium with better facility's would have no problem selling 55000 tickets a game, as Evertonians are the best fans in the world. MaccA. (11/07/07) Embarrassing I used to think we were a massive club. I used to think I had empathy with all my blue men. I feel like I've been married to gorgeous chick and just found out she's man!!! Everton ain't my team, we've got small minded fans who live on farms. I used to believe once a blue always a blue. Well I was a scouser on the day I was born and only turned a blue when I was 3. The shite are massive because they think massive. They would never give up this city to us, but what do we do, we just hand it over to them. They're laughing at us. We're embarrassing. Scouser's born in 10 years will all support the shite. And you Everton fans will be no better than Wigan or Bolton. Once a scouser always a scouser! Call us the People's club. What people? The people who live on a farm? eeeeh up!!! This is the best result the shite have had over us in history. We are Looooooooosers!!!!!!! Tractor Boys!!!!!!!!!! Ste. (11/07/07) I am appalled at the voting regime proposed by Bill Kenwright re our proposed stadium move. I am not a season ticket holder as I am unable to attend every match particularly evening matches as I do not live on Merseyside. I do however try to attend as many matches as I can. However last season I managed only one or two matches because of work commitments and family obligations. Despite this I am still an avid Evertonian and have been since the 1950's and yet under the existing voting proposals I will be denied the right to have a say on where my team is going to situated. I do not feel this is right or just. There are no levels of Evertonianism, i.e. if you have a season ticket you have more value than a fan who attends when he / she can, and if you attend more matches that the next fan then you have more rights than that person. We are the self acclaimed Peoples Club and yet we appear to want a voting system based on a biased hierarchical voting system that prefers a so called elite fan. The two are incompatible, we are either the peoples club with each fan having a value in our own right or we are an elitist organisation. Give me my vote as I have much worth as the next true blue.
