The Cities People

I have just voted for Blue Kipper on the footie fans census website as my favorite site, with an honorable mention for Toffeeweb for some of their articles. I thought I’d have a look at some of the sh*tes website's that were listed (as anyone with two upside down burning crosses on their emblem needs keeping an eye on!) just to gloat a bit at how they’re suffering at the moment. The problem was the only one that would upload “through the grind and pain” or something… was showing breaking news from October 2000 what a laugh! The other website's were dead or just members only forums to have a winge or say how great the G’ster is, no proper website's updated with news and genuine input and articles from real fans like this site has.

It reaffirms my view that they don’t have real fans but hangers on and braggers who latch on to them because of their perceived success. I believe the soap opera will continue as they have now sold their soul to the good old boys from Texas, it certainly makes fun watching for us blues brothers & sisters. It does make you wonder what will happen if they have a couple more bad seasons. Judging by the few protesters that were demonstrating against the yanks recently, they don’t really have much of a core support that genuinely loves the club, just the glory hunters and suited hangers on who will soon drop them when there’s nothing to brag about.

I’m proud to be a blue, and always will be. Thanks for your great site, and I hope you win an award for all your efforts, long may you continue. COYB. Patrick Duckworth. (23/02/08)

1962-1963 Team Photo

Many thanks for putting the team photo on the site. It was really good trying to put the names to the faces after all those years. I started, regularly, going to see the blue boys in 1960/61. One of my uncles was friends with Alex Young, Roy Vernon, Alex Parker and George Thomson and I remember going out to Maghull to see him with my folks and one of his friends, George was there. A really nice guy very friendly asked me about school, football etc and it was only after a few minutes that I connected George with a Scottish accent talking about football?????????? If he had been wearing a blue shirt I would have recognised him straight away. Happy Days.

I have just noticed that Albert Dunlop was missing from the photograph and yet I’m sure he played a few games in the championship winning team in 1963. Keep up the good works lads. Best Regards from Liverpool - The European Capital of Culture 2008. David Johnson. (23/02/08)

No Chang

Read the match report from Brann Bergen and just wanted to inform of the reason why the Chang logo was missing on the Everton shirts. According to Norwegian law it is not legal to do any advertising for alcohol, not even on football shirts. The same thing happened when the shite played Brann Bergen in 1997. Just thought you wanted to know! All the best. Morten, a Norwegian blue! (23/02/08)

Mikel Arteta

He looks so so cute with his ear pierced!!! Faye Alicia. (23/02/08)

Flags At Home

The pictures of the European games look great, but they made me think. Why aren't any of the flags on show at home games? I know Manure have some kind of an arrangement which allows their 'fans' to put banners up on the Stretford End. Is this something which could/should be done at Goodison or where ever the fuck we end up? What d'ya reckon? Great site by the way. Armchair Blue. (23/02/08)

Anything Is Possible With Moyes

In the past, on occasion, I have been guilty of posting negative, immature and ill-considered comments here regarding the funny looking David Moyes. I now wish to proclaim my...belief that David Moyes is undoubtedly the best manager in the league, and quite probably, the world. I feel like i'm fourteen again. I believe that anything is possible. Murray Halderson. (23/02/08)

Colin Thornton

Good to hear you're still alive. Put your address on the site and I'll send you my details in an email. Great to hear we've got "Kiwi Blues". Sounds like some kind of medical condition though!! Mark Morrey. (23/02/08)

Andy Van Der Meyde

What the hell is happening with Andy Van Der Plague? He obviously is a waste of time. He doesn't realise what Everton means to every blue I know!!! Thank god the boys are doing brill this season and Moyes is keeping them all on their toes with loan signings etc....otherwise we would probably be playing vander plague because we have to! Lets get some money and try and sell him! Great site lads. keep up the good work! COME ON YOU BLUEEEES!!!! Johnboy. Skem. (23/02/08)

Joe Merivale

I’m trying to get in touch with an old friend of mine who appears on your site in an entry submitted by Carl Stewart on 28/06/06. The guy’s name is Joe Merivale. If Cart Stewart submitted his photos by email and you have an address, could I ask you to ask him to forward the following email address to Joe, please? The address is martinmcconkey@btinternet.com. Many thanks, Martin McConkey. (23/02/08)

Well Played Stubbsy

As it was not an option to leave a good will message on the Official site, could you start a section on here for fans wishing to wish stubbsy all the best. A bluenose through and through with blue blood running through his veins, what a servant. All the best Alan, and hope your back soon in a coaching capacity, would have made an ideal no2 for Moyesy. Richard. (05/02/08)

F****ing Rafa

Reading Kevin Latham's rant on the Red Echo's reporting bias towards the Red Shite names.....eg Rafa compared to Moyes etc had me chuckling away tonight. Kevin, believe me I know how you feel. However, on also reading the response from Dave Prentice of the (partly) Blue Echo, the answer was right in front of me...... Can they not just use the same terminology in the Echo as per Kevin's Email? ie F****ing Rafa sounds perfectly correct to me.....and I am sure we all agree on that!! Derek Pulford Blue for ever and ever amen. (05/02/08)

Nothing Changes

I remember writing to the Echo in about 1977 on this very point - Echo always on about them and very little on the Blues. It wound up the gob****** a treat. Nothing changes, except back in those days there were a few Scousers on the Kop - usually on Derby Day - wearing blue.
COYB. Paul "Holdo" Holden. (05/02/08)

Make a fuss!!

So the FA have decided not to haul our Davey in for questioning about the Crappenburg comments. Well doesn't that speak volumes about how they know they will be found out if he did appear in front of them? Davey should demand to be heard, because the officials were at it again at Ewood Park (how wrong can they get?). I've said it before, Everton Football Club should be screaming from the rooftops about the officials we're having to put up with week in week out. Now I don't know how the FA's disciplinary committee work or how Clubs are represented at the hearings, but we should now be making such a fuss that they have to bring us in. If or when that happens we should have legal representation to take in every single comment that is made. I believe, like most postings I've read, that there is something sinister going on within the game. The FA must be held accountable for the so called 'oversights' that occur during our games.

For Davey to have to compile dossiers of poor decisions and penalties not given is unacceptable. We gain absolutely nothing when Hackett (ref's boss) tells us we should have had at least ten penalties last season. There is nothing to be gained by his pathetic comments.
Apologies don't replace the possible point tally that could have been accrued and points do make prizes. The point that we should have gained in the derby and the goal that should have stood on Saturday could make the difference when the points are tallied come May.

Regarding my earlier comment, the Club and Davey have to make as much noise as possible. The FA will have to respond to our charges. The usual scenario is for the FA to level charges of bringing the game into disrepute. Well I've got news for the FA, it wreaks of corruption. I would gladly stand in front of these morons and let them know what a pathetic shower they are. They constantly turn a blind eye to the men in black ruining our game. Perhaps Barwick and co would act if the victims were his own club (guess who?)

The rats will be scurrying around now to do something to appease us. For a start, I'll put my house on us getting a penalty against Reading. So come on Blues, its time to stand up and be counted on this one. The celebrations that occurred when we scored were amazing, only to be snuffed out.

The away support on Saturday was amazing. We deserved the goal. Too often, we are leaving the ground bemoaning the fact that officials either aren't able or have been instructed to make certain decisions. I would think it is the latter. It would be nice to hear that the Club are going to take this further, because I can't be doing with it. Eddieparkend COYB. (05/02/08)

Boycott Echo

I'm really surprised he took the time and the effort to actually contact the Echo, myself and the like minded ones boycotted this rag post premiership beginnings (surprise, surprise). Good luck in his future efforts but i'd think it would be better served in writing articles on here or similar Everton media sites and giving them a wide berth. Good luck to yourselves and Kevin for the future. Mick. (05/02/08)

ROVERS AWAY/ AJ "PENALTIES"

Or , more to the point , the lack of the latter. He was assaulted in the box & he/ we got nowt. Some say he’s a victim of pre-EFC falling over/ going down too easily ( fnar, fnar ) in the box – though that doesn’t seem to have done St. Michael of Wales nor Steeeveee any harm, clubwise or internationally - but maybe it’s partly cos EFC have, rightly, focused attention on the problem & partly cos, our players , AJ especially , tend no longer to protest too much, as it seems pointless. The foul @Ewood Park along with the clear contact by Huddlestone vs Spurs seem to produce a resigned shrug from AJ , not cos he doesn’t care but cos he knows there is no point complaining . Contrast that with the fuss made about R-S’s penalty conceded to Chelsea , & the incredible “justification” of Sunderland not getting 2 penalties there last Saturday , on the grounds that ref was trying to make 2 wrongs = a right , & was worried about his reputation with the so-called bigger clubs . It is interesting that Prem League or FA or Rick Parry or Rogan Taylor or whoever runs footy in this country nowadays didn’t want to pursue Moyesy re Cheatenbugger , presumably fearing the truth . Whilst I’m ranting, 2 more for you : 1) Have the R-S thought who might have £5k to throw away at their club ? Not too many people from Merseyside I’d guess, but maybe a lot in China , US , Mid- East , Surrey , Norway etc etc & 2) Can I just add that much as I , & every other footy fan I’ve met , loathe Alan Green , he takes 2nd place in the Hall of Hate ( excluding players & ex-players of R-S ) to Clive Cliché Proof that Koppites are Gobshites Tildsley whose commentaries are completely unbearable, even if his beloved R-S aren’t playing. OK, a third one then- about this proposed ground move… Only joking lads. COYB & FTRS. Keep up the great work. Dave Styles. (05/02/08)

Molly Bushell

Hi there lads cracking site. I always come on here to get my daily updates on the one and only team in Liverpool (unless you count the Reserves). i was wondering if you could help a fellow blue out i'm looking for a picture of Molly Bushell. i found a couple of pictures on google (off your site) but their just not big enough. I need them to be able to go about's 6 inch tall. keep up the good work fella's. Blue. COYB! (05/02/08)

Blackburn

Yet again my weekend is ruined by an absolutely appalling display by the man (I use the term loosely) in the middle. What an absolute joke. Dunn should have been sitting in the stand when he cleared Jag’s header off the line. Why was he not sent off????? Yet again it’s not so much the poor decision that infuriates fans so much as the lack of consistency. He’d been booked and then deliberately hand balled it. Therefore Mr Wiley, you should have sent him off. 2 bookings = a red card. Perhaps you should brush up on that you jackass. Then AJ is denied a nailed on penalty. THEN has a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside despite the fact that 3 players were playing him on!!!!!!!!! AAAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!! What if we miss out on 4th spot by just 1 point? I assume that Keith Hacket and the monkey’s involved with monitoring the refs will reimburse the club the millions of pounds we would lose out on by missing out on the Champions League. I somehow think that they won’t. This is a professional game and it is a disgrace that such awful decisions can be made. It’s almost as if the men in black don’t know the rules anymore. It’s a complete shambles. If I made such a poor decision at work I would, quite rightly, get fired. The fact that this fool has made these decisions is a disgrace. These kinds of mistakes could end up costing the club millions of pounds and frankly it’s not bloody good enough. Spencer Bishop. (05/02/08)

Our Rafa

I’ve got to say, I know exactly what Kevin means about the Echo referring to Benitez as if he’s our best mate, I’ve emailed the echo before about similar trends set with other Liverpool players. But, the one thing that really grates at me is the relationship Sky Sports seem to believe they have with them. I’ve attached this link http://www.skysports.com/football/transfer_centre to the Sky Sports news site, the part detailing all the transfer action and rumours. If you look through all the one line news articles you will notice one which stands right out from the rest. It goes something like, ‘Rafa upbeat on Masch deal’! Now, take another look at the rest, everyone else is noted by use of their surname, and apart from the odd club nickname, which is understandable, this is the only link where a manager has anything but his given surname. Where that Masch thing came from I’ve got no idea.

If you ever speak to a ‘fan’ of Liverpool they insist everyone at Sky Sports hates them and that it’s usually some sort of conspiracy or plan drawn up by Andy Gray. But the truth is and always has been Liverpool players are treated and spoken about in a totally different way to every other player in every division around the world. Remember Michael Owens’ days at Liverpool when he suddenly became just ‘Michael’, Steven Gerrard is now Stevie-G or Stevie Gerrard. The list goes on, but can be summed up by a comment from a commentator the other day when Liverpool were on the TV, ‘’And Carra just plays it safe and sends that one out of play.’’, he exclaimed!

It’s a joke and it has been for a long time, the praise Ronaldo has thrust on him by the Sky Sports team is enormous, but they never refer to him as Crisy or Crisy-R. You look at the best players around the world and notice you never hear commentators or pundits talk about ‘Thierry’ or ‘Ruud’ its Henry and Van Nistlerooy.

Anyway, it’s just an opinion of mine that it’s the MAJORITY of the British media that seem to be fixated with everything Liverpool. It’s enough to make you strive to learn Italian, just so you can start buying and reading their sports papers, they’re hated in most places over there, and to be honest it’s quite refreshing. Great site lads, they have nothing like this across the park! Col. (05/02/08)

Moyes Staying

Re; mark Davies. Mark, Newcastle’s fan base stretches about as far as err well Newcastle. Just because they fill their ground week in week out don’t make them a big club Their fans are also as fickle as them cu**s over the park. Money does not guarantee success it breeds expectancy don’t worry about moyes he may be sometimes naive. But I think stupid he certainly is not he would get about as much time as “ vote Sam for England” allardyce . while I’m on can I take this opportunity to say how much of a good job Randall and winthorpe are doing over the park great job hang on in there for that billion boys you will defo get it and well done, take no shit from David guest. Great site boys. COYB. James cluskey. (05/02/08)

Dixie Dean

Only read the Dixie article today what a fantastic tribute to who can only be described as the greatest Evertonian ever. God bless the great man. Steve. (05/02/08)

Same old Arsenal

Same old Arsenal, always cheating same old Arsenal, always cheating! Good effort from the lads, but Howard, Yobo and Jagelka where rubbish, The ref must have been an Arsenal fan to send magic Mikel Arteta walking! Ben from the Wirral. (05/02/08)
