to Your Play To The Whistle How many points have Everton thrown away in the last 10 mins or so. I just cant believe our defence on set pieces surely we can do better. Nigel Martyn as good as he as played all season must take charge of the 6 yard box from the 1st to the 90th plus. We could have been in a great position only for these last minute Fuckups Gerry Maguire Ont Canada. (03/04/04) The Blue Kipper Lounge Alright
Lads. Had a great time in the blue kipper
lounge on Saturday. we will be back every week. Neil Tompsett.
(30/03/04) EVERTON POWER GAME: WHAT IF GRANTCHESTER CAME BACK? It's
all very well Mickey Blue Eyes lambasting
critics of the the present EFC administration as " the Melledrew
Tenendency" & "Dunford/ Kenwright/Carter/Gregg" haters.
We love you Everton.. The reality of Everton ever being out of the lower half is still beyond belief. Fuck me, the points we throw away. Game after game it's part of a long term plan to put me in an early grave. Why the fuck we are not fighting for a place in Europe is beyond belief ? Who do we blame? No one. It's the fate of us long suffering Evertonians. We love the glamour of the "will we be here next year or will we not?" Keeps us alive. John Lea. (30/03/04) Your Having a Laugh !! I
was in the Dark House before the Portsmouth game and at about 2.35pm the
pub became a lot emptier. I said to Tony who was behind the bar "
I thought that Bluekipper web site said that this place was chocka block
before the game." White Socks (No Honestly) Just thought I'd mail yer with a worthy campaign for next season. Lets get Everton back in white socks again!!! We`ve got (another) new kit for next season what with the 125th anniversary kit running out , I thought I'd start with you guys and get us back looking like the traditional Everton of old. We wore white socks in the all conquering sides of the 60`s and mid 80`s and I reckon we look much more like Everton with white socks. The campaign starts here!!! Come on lads back me up with this one and email the club. Anyway, great site lads keep up the good work and lets hope we stuff Boro' at the weekend! Iain. (27/03/04) Chaddy's Chance With Ferguson, and Rooney both facing suspensions together in the not to distant future, will Moyesy contemplate bringing in form Chaddy back from Millwall. He obviously does not fancy Jug ears, and Campbell is past it, so why doesn't he chance Chaddy with the Rad, as he has never let us down. Kev. (25/03/04) Duncan Disorderly How much longer have we got to put up with the liability, that is Duncan Ferguson. Throughout his Everton career, he has been sent off, and suspended at vital times in our season. Moyesy must have thought that giving him the captain's arm band would make him more responsible, what a fuckin' laugh. Billy H (25/03/04) Joe Cole It is no doubt that Dave Moyes is an avid fan of Joe Cole and with Chelski cant stop themselves buying players, there ought to be a few players who are unhappy and Joe Cole particularly have been rather disturbed by the signings. My email here does not have any foundation to this rumour but the thought of Everton perhaps having him loaned over or even PURCHASE him would be GREAT!! Our Rooney and Cole are brightest young star in the England camp and what a team we would have then. Big Dunc and Radz in the front line..with Rooney playing a free role supporting them. Killy, McF, Gravesen, and J.Cole in the centre.. and Stubbs,Yobo, and Hibbert in the backline.. with Wrighty and Nigel battling for the gloves!! Last season, there was rumours regarding a possible transfer for J.Cole to Everton but oh well it didn't happen but it might happen this time around..Would it? We would have paid 5m++ quids for Davis why not add an extra 1m++ for J.Cole? We do need creativity, strength and flair and he has it all!!! Cheers, Ivan J. (08/03/04) Megastar "Unsey
wanted a 2 year contract. Everton offered 1 year. Stalemate! Blackburn
& Leeds are monitoring the situation. But with Rhino playing some
great footy in the heart of the defence, Everton may compromise. But as
Dunford says he's not a megastar." Gravesen A Sausage? How on
earth can sausage give gravesen the star
man against villa
as for 83 mins he was like there 12th man? Just A Share Interesting piece on the shares. As a shareholder (who also bought a share from Steve Allison, also for 1475, when through the clubs official market maker (the registrars solicitors) the price was 1820, I am a bit confused as to what you are getting at in your 5/questions. Few hundred quid below market price is a fair price in my book and on the back of that I couldn’t be arsed if he’s made a few quid. The point of everything the new lot stand for was made for me on Saturday night at the shareholders bash. I shared a table with an otherwise sound man, and obvious true evertonian as you could tell from the conversation. He then astonished me by launching into an outright rejection of any share issue cos it, to use his words, would diminish the ‘exclusive’ status of being a shareholder, the chance to meet the board, and tour bellefield, get tickets and the other ‘perks’ enjoyed. He said he couldn’t give a toss if that was selfish cos that was how he felt. At least he had the bollocks to come out and say what he really felt rather than hide behind spurious procedural crap to pour water on to any change agenda. I for one didn’t buy my share just so I could cherry pick the away games I go to. I’ve just re-read your article and reckon you don’t fall into the same camp as this bloke. So can’t figure out your agenda. From what I can tell (limited exposure admittedly) everyone else but Allison is a talker not a do-oer, who conducts themselves like they are in a student union or something. Farce. Guy McEvoy. (02/03/04) Prices Since Everton plan to put up the prices, I think the board would be better suited trying to re-coup the money Peter Johnson used to prop up his business rather than pass on the cost to the fans. I believe Roger Cook has a big file on the subject and I think Blue Kipper should interview him. Alternatively they could ask Walter Smith to hand over some of the £8000 he is paid from Ferguson and Campbell a week, for setting up their wages. On a lighter note Gary Speed left because he was fed up acting manager and coach while howard was always pissed. Chris Simpson. (02/03/04) Young Promising Swede The
most promising young player in Sweden for the last few years, Kim Kallstrom,
was recently sold from Djurgarden to Rennes in the French league for a
very, very low transfer fee. I think it was less than 1 million pounds.
He is an all-round goalscoring (!) central midfielder which could have
done a lot of useful things in an Everton shirt. I'm sure David Moyes
knew about him, but didn't have the funding, even though he was a bargain.
Maybe Everton can snap him up from Rennes anyway (like Southampton did Wanted: One Billionaire To By Our Club Why can't we get a billionaire to buy us and end these yearly relegation nightmares. somebody with a decent few quid must be an Everton fan. Find them quick or else the duke will be off!!! Neil. (01/03/04) There
were a lot of valid points and questions raised in the detailed mail by
Bluenose. Significantly,
the backward slide since the heady days of 2002-03 season. Realistically,
there was little hope of attaining those same heights with the below average
squad that we have, with the one or two exceptions of course. This seems to have hit a brick wall since Peter Clarke's performances were found to be sadly lacking. Add this to the fact that we have a plethora of deadwood in the squad. What is positive is that the Manager has already started the clear out with the ineffectual Alexandersson given the bum's rush in the January window. This is likely to continue in the Summer with the departures of Campbell, Gemmill and a few others. Personally, I would like to see Unsworth, Carsley and Pistone shown the door as well. The first two are well into the twilight of their careers, Unsworth in truth is at least two stone overweight and is obviously muscle-bound, which I find mighty surprising given the fitness regime brought into the club by Moyes and Rathbone. Cast your mind back to when he was first introduced into the first team as the solid but lean and fast replacement for Ratcliffe. He is as far removed from that young player as is possibly imaginable. Add to the fact that he is unable to pass a ball to a blue shirt, it is understandable to see why the team is under constant pressure when in possession, if you see what I mean, we move forward and rhino loses possession and we're all on the back foot again chasing shadows. He can hit 50 yard balls into the box for Ferguson, but then again, so could I. Carsley simply isn't good enough for the Prem or for Everton and even if you have him in the team either as a spoiler or cover for Tony 'Putin' Hibbert at full back, it's one negative too many. Pistone has been taking the rise since Moyes arrived and blankly refuses to play more than 20 games a season. The slightest of knocks and he is out for another month. Yesterday's game against Villa being a case in point. No doubt 3 of the 4 weeks abstentia will be spent at home in Italy. He's a backslider and not there for the cause when needed, so get rid of him. Onto the board. I have a problem with Big Bill and his cohorts, particularly Carter and Gregg. Carter is a complete an utter embarrassment and even he must wince at the boos he receives when he adorns the pitch at half time for some presentation or other. My unease at the pairing is that both Kenwright and Carter were custodians of our Club during the dark days of the Johnson era. Why weren't they asking the awkward questions at board meetings as to where the funds were disappearing to, why did they put up with the money-laundering episode to Tranmere when an unheard goalkeeper was signed for a large sum of money that we hadn't heard of, or nor did we need? Big Bill has brought a lot of bon ami to the fore, but there needs to be more than this to hold such a prized and revered role when it comes to the future fortunes of our club. Where Gregg fits into the equation, Lawd knows? In truth, what do any of them truly bring to the table? Bill has talked the talk to secure the position but I'm afraid, metaphorically speaking, he has developed into a limping duck, let's hope it's nothing regressive or permanent. I have heard from a very reliable source that Lord Grantchester has (since receiving his full inheritance) recently declared in private that he would love to try to put the club back where it belongs by making significant investment in the future, but he would not invest a penny while Kenwright or Carter remain in charge and on the board. Make of that what you will. Am I the only one who also have deep reservations about the comments of the Manager last week with regard to Wayne's future? Was it really a message of defiance or was it the opening gambit in a Summer Auction for the jewel in our crown? Don't worry, no one could afford him EXCEPT Chelsea or Real Madrid because the bidding will start at £30 million. The next 12-18 months is vital for Everton. Despite my comments, which are meant to constructive, let us look at the positives that we have. Firstly and very importantly, we are not a plc. Secondly, we have a fantastic manager, arguably one of the best young managers in Europe and that's no overstatement. He has at his disposal some excellent young talent and I don't just mean the Croxteth Cannonball. Joseph Yobo is one of the top 3 central defenders in the Premiership, Hibbert will wear the England shirt within a couple of years, despite his slight loss of form and confidence this season, Jamie MacFadden is a real exciting young talent and we still have some excellent pros on our staff. Take Ferguson, Watson, Jeffers, (who I think will stay with us), Radzinski and Kilbane. Seasoned players who would help bring young guns through with a vengeance. We are not a million miles away from being a top 6 side. We need another good young striker to partner The Duke and the much-debated, key creative position in midfield. The latter being the real priority as it will give Gravesen the support he needs and he will flourish as a holding number 2, if you get my drift. Tommy is not a main play maker and never has been, the fact that he has filled the role for such a long time has led some to forget this. However, put in support of someone who is and he will definitely flourish. Last but not least by any means, there are the fans. Surely the finest set of supporters in the Premiership, no wishy-washy, wimpy, fairweather friends here. We have stuck with it through thin and thin and will always continue to support the Blues. Remember, it's our club, our history and our passion. Don't be afraid of demanding your birthright, but don't let sentiment stand in the way. Tom from Birkdale. (01/03/04) What Do You Think?
