I could not believe what I was reading the other day when Bill Kenwright said that he would not stand in David Moyes way if United ever came calling for his services.

What man have we got running our club! Don't successful men aspire to more success, or like Kenwright do they just get so far then give up.

I will be eternally grateful for Kenwright and his consortium of Gregg, Earl and the rest of them saving us from the clutches of Peter Johnson and his ill fated regime.

When though I hear the so called owner of our club saying our Manager and driving force can willingly leave to join a supposed bigger force, I then know that we have the wrong man leading us.

Why isn't Kenwright stating that one day we will be like Man United and get out there and work harder to make sure we at least move in the right direction towards some semblance of that success.

I can say in my life time I was honoured to remember two era's when we were bigger than United, more successful, with more silverware, owned by a man, who may have been a dictator in his time, ruthless and feared, but he never would have stood for second best.

Bill, like me you are a Blue, but really now your time is up. We want to keep our best players, staff and that includes the Manager.

If United ever do come calling I hope you beat them away with a big stick. Instead look at their success, and think I want a bit of that, instead of giving up the fight.

What's on our shirts; NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM, and Mr Kenwright please never forget what it stands for.

Its started to appear more recently across the newspapers that with our clubs money situation of being in the red £45m. It alarms me when there is talk David Moyes will have to consider leaving as he won't have any funds to strenghten the squad in the summer! I think this is already a done deal, when Sir Alex knocks the red shite off there perch by claiming there 19th championship he is gonna step down paving the way for Moyesy. I am certainly not a negative blue but a realistic one, as without an investor I think were gonna struggle massively! Rodders Fellani Hietinga and Arteta should be sold in the summer and we should get a couple of quid for Yak ! We are definately turning into a selling club to survive how the fuck can the likes of Blackburn & Leicester City attract owners and a traditional peoples club like ours can't! Nil Satis Nisi Optimum

Just a quick point re. Agent Johnson. He put NO money directly into the Club, that is why it was bought with a large amount of debt. At the time, he took loans and extended the overdraft while acting as gaurantore to said lending. The money dried up when shares at Park Foods plummeted, and so too did Hampermans personal fortune. At that point, the banks started to get restless and wanted to know how this money was getting paid back. Off went Dunc to the Skunks, soon followed by Hamperman out of the door. In came BK to take over running of the club to re-finance the lending and stave off administration. Hamperman got back what he put in, but left the club with the debt he was guaranteeing for, once someone else came in to take over those guarantees.

Well said Dave F from Wigan, glad to see somebody actually speaking a little sense. How could you stand in Moyes' way anyway? If he wants to go he will go, could you blame him anyway? For me if Kenwright had an extra couple of 0's in his bank account I would have no other chairman at the club, but alas in football terms Blue Bill is no more than a working class bum. One more point to raise! "Clueless, dithering, defensive minded and finally out of luck" stdomingo quoted. Really? You actually think that do you? Of course, Moyes hasn't got a clue has he! Open your eyes - Moyes is the only reason Everton have enjoyed any success, even if it is small, he has had zero money to inject into his team. What do you want for zero investment ? Perhaps a Champions League spec every season ? Wake up!! We are getting exactly what should happen to a club with no investment! Did you read the article that was in the Times (I think) at the end of last season ? It was a different look at the Premier League and it gave position based on money spent and games won - Everton were top ! Says it all really. So for all you idiots who want Moyes out...get a f***in grip seriously, because you are doing my knapper in !!!

Don't know where you got the £200 million figure from because nobodys ever quoted a value. Any price is only what the buyer and seller agree, nothings fixed. No owner puts money into the club except Chelsea and Manchester City. It all comes from loans guaranteed by club revenues paid by the fans. Every other clubs the same including Manchester United.

Hang on doesn't he pay himself 60k a year?, anyway you don't think the Blue Blood Bill's gonna lose out when he sells OUR club. They paid £20m in 2000 & someone was quoting around £200m as a selling price 10x their initial investment, 90% yeild each year (over 11 yrs) when most estabished businesses your looking for around 10%. Why not reduce that price to say 100m (still 5x more) with the condition that we get a decent Budget for players and stadium development. I'm sure we wouldn't be waiting long for a decent buyer, come on Bill you love the club don't ya.

Peter Johnson put more money into our club than this fat waste of space has ever done, but ooohhh he was a kopite so therefore he was automatically a monster no matter what he did! I couldn't give a shit how much Kenwrong loves the club, because he's a businessman, not a player or manager. The most important thing for someone in his position is to have money, not to be a fan

Why do we get the same old moaning from the same old people when results dip and hear nothing from these wasters when things are going well. You could set the clock by their whining and whinging.

May be Kenwright is being quite clever, maybe he wants to give another manager a go on a much cheaper salary and this is the only way to manouvre Moyes out of his long contract

Man U calling for Moyes? Youre avin a laff. Clueless, dithering, defensive minded and finally out of luck. Maybe Tranmere will want him but I'm sure Ferguson will be replaced with someone who wants to win; not someone who doesn't want to lose

I totally agree Eric, Kenwright should be the chairman of a small club or a club that adores Manchester Utd , NOT EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB.

Is this the out come of our once glorious club, a feeding ground for manure? The club seems content to sit in the middle of the table and show no ambition to put us back were we belong. when the season started we had the strongest team DM had seen under his reign, now all I hear is we need to strengthen but have no funds ???

Eric, good man! You knocked the nail right on the head! Pity the nail wasn't Kenwright's head! As long as he's on the throne, he doesn't care how us true supporters feel! Have a look from what the club looks like from the outside! Do something about it or rot on the other side of the royal blue mersey, cos you wont be welcome on the blue side! We all appreciate what you have done for the club, but you're only a fish now, and we don't want to be your little pond!!

Enough with all the negative press about Everton. Everyone please, cheer the hell up. The only way we can get our club back up the table is with renewed belief and hard work. Come on Blue Bill, get the tutt sigh out of your system, you too Moysie. Fellow fans, stop all the moaning and put same effort into supporting our club. 6th place is still within reach, that will put a nice dint in the money owed section of the clubs finance statement. We have some great players still available to us despite the injuries, let's help them perform.

Do any of you actually read past the sky sports misleading headline? No where in his interview does Kenwright utter those words. All he says is that Moyes would "have a big decision to make." He doesn't say that he wouldn't try to stop him. Without Kenwright we would have been relegated post agent Johnson and Moyes would never have been appointed. Would you do Kenwright's job for no salary and re mortgage your house several times just to give the club you love a few bob?

Kenwright is a cancer eating away at our club, cant wait for the day he walks away! Eric you neednt worry about Moyes going to Man U, the fans there wouldnt put up with the negative dross he serves up here!!

Totally agree with Eric. If Bill Kenwright openly states that he wouldn't stand in DM's way should Man Utd come calling I would suggest that this is a gentlemans agreement that has already been discussed and it shows Kenwrights lack of ambition both short term and long term. Right now though, after the awful season we have had I couldn't care less whether either of them stay or go. Totally disillusioned with the club and seeing Pienaar in a Tottenham shirt is still seriously pissing me off. Never before has investment been needed for our beloved club and I don't see any signs of it happening and particularly when I hear and read quotes likes this from Mr K....bemused
