I could not believe what I was reading the other day when Bill Kenwright said that he would not stand in David Moyes way if United ever came calling for his services.
What man have we got running our club! Don't successful men aspire to more success, or like Kenwright do they just get so far then give up.
I will be eternally grateful for Kenwright and his consortium of Gregg, Earl and the rest of them saving us from the clutches of Peter Johnson and his ill fated regime.
When though I hear the so called owner of our club saying our Manager and driving force can willingly leave to join a supposed bigger force, I then know that we have the wrong man leading us.
Why isn't Kenwright stating that one day we will be like Man United and get out there and work harder to make sure we at least move in the right direction towards some semblance of that success.
I can say in my life time I was honoured to remember two era's when we were bigger than United, more successful, with more silverware, owned by a man, who may have been a dictator in his time, ruthless and feared, but he never would have stood for second best.
Bill, like me you are a Blue, but really now your time is up. We want to keep our best players, staff and that includes the Manager.
If United ever do come calling I hope you beat them away with a big stick. Instead look at their success, and think I want a bit of that, instead of giving up the fight.
What's on our shirts; NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM, and Mr Kenwright please never forget what it stands for.
