Would You Watch Jezza All Day - Me Neither
More Fans E-Mails

With the ongoing frustrations at our beloved Everton, the mails have been coming in thick and fast to Bluekipper.

Over the next few days you the fans are having your say, on the good, bad and the ugly of Everton Football Club;

From Eric Hafabee / Kirkdale

Yeah man, you rock! Positivity!

My house is on fire but hey; think of the savings I will make on my heating bills!

My dog was run over and had his leg amputated -yes, you guessed it, less muddy footprints in the kitchen!

I lost my job and have no transferable skills or prospect of future employment. Am I downhearted? Heck no - Jeremy Kyle on daytime TV - yah!

My wife ran off and took the kids AND our 3 legged dog with her.

Sad? Suicidal? Are you freaking kidding me man?

I can flop around on the sticky, spaghetti hooped stained couch in my string vest and socks playing Call of Duty Black Ops till 5 in the morning and no damn interruptions having to read them stupid bed time stories about pigs and porridge.

Result!

Worried that our football club is being run by incompetent frauds and liars whilst being given a walkover by a tame press and doe eyed apologists?

Err...maybe? ...just a little...Is that ok?

From Chris Perez / London

At the end of the season will be a massive time for Everton and big decisions will have to be made.

We will not get into Europe this year and the best we can hope for is 7th place. Is this what all Evertonians want? I want us to be challenging the top 4 and trying to win the major silverware every season. Mid table is not good enough.

Moyes is obviously unhappy at the lack of finance available to compete and having to sell one of your best players to help bring in finance is not the way forward. At the same time you can argue that over the years Moyes has spent big money on bad signings - Per Koldrup for £5 million springs to mind as does James Beattie.

My view is that Moyes is still the best man for the job but my fear is that if he is offered a job where he will have money to spend he will go. If Moyes did go in the summer who can we realistically expect to come in? I can say Mourinho, Wenger or Redknapp but I am being foolish to think that they will come here.

The only realistic person who is readily available is Sam Allardyce - is this what Evertonians want? I don't want him to be our next manager.

I always think back to 2002 when Moyes took over. If Moyes did not come to us the alternative was Gary Megson.

I think it is time for Kenwright to go. He has been quoted as saying that he has been looking to sell the club over the last 2-3 years but there has been no interest. In that time Man City and Aston Villa have had a takeover and more worryingly lower league clubs like Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton and Hull City.

So how active has Kenwright been?

Is lack of transfer activity in the January window is worrying. We could not afford £500k to sign Hamill from Barnsley, even after we let Pienaar and Yakubu go. Kenwright has taken the club as far as he can financially and it is now time for him to step aside and allow another person to take us forward.

If he loves the club as much as he says he does then he will be gone sooner rather than later.

Nobody has wanted the club enough to make a bid. If they had you would have heard about it. As for other clubs being bought like Aston Villa, Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton and Hull, who wants to be one of them? If there are so many buyers with money around why aren't they shooting their mouths off and making it clear? Small clubs are easier to buy because they're an easy mark and thats why they get bought first. I don't want Everton to end up like Portsmouth, Leeds or Southampton.

To Paul H, Walton. If you would care to reread what I wrote you will see that I did not say 'fraudsters' I said 'frauds' as in fake, phoney, deceitful etc. Kind regards

What would Dixie think? Bally, Labone, they'd turn in their graves! All we are now is a feeder club! We're the biggest and best club in the land, bigger than the manx and the red shite, but where has all the money gone? Not on transfers or the ground, thats for sure. Jack the lad and Felli next to go, and Moyes! But were all all still be there, cause we are true blues. c.o.y.bs!

Quite simply, we know there will be changes in this squad. Most of the starting line up is around or over 30, such as Howard, Distin, Neville, Saha and Cahill, players who have played in the vast majority of games this season. Even the likes of Arteta and Jagielka are pushing 30, granted they do still have a few good years left. But irrespective of this, there needs to be a massive change in mindset. How many times this season have we seen Everton play incredibly lazily and very lacklustre? How many times have we seen us just pass the ball sideways and never go forward? Also, see some very shoddy defending at times. It's just a mindset thing in my view, because I personally feel that, after seeing our performances against the top sides, that this squad is capable of Champions League football. It's just whether or not they want it.

Eddie Howe looks like he could be real deal - a quiet confidence to him. Paul Lambert has a certain assurance that comes across but both are in the lower league so how would they handle Prem. Reason I'm mentioning how they come across is because they obviously know their stuff and how they want the game played - that's what impresses me about Coyle too. O'Neill overrated and as for Allardyce and Curbishley! I still think Moyes is the man for the job but the noises coming from that gobshite Kenwright suggest it's not exactly misplaced conjecture to think about who his replacement might be.

I wouldn't fancy O'Neill, dont rate him at all. As others have said he only managed to finish below us in past seasons with far more money. Also I doubt Coyle would leave Bolton in a heartbeat. Had the reason he went there in the first place is that he is a former player and spent a long time there and was considered a bit of a club legend even before he became manager so I doubt he is any rush to go unless its for a top four job, which he isnt going to get. I dont think Moyes will go this summer and I think we will find a signing from somewhere, if we need to sell it doesnt have to be Rodwell/ Fellaini. Sell Yobo, Yak, Victor and Heitinga. Get between 12-15mil for them put together and bring in 2 or 3 5-7m players and I think our squad would be better for it. Oh and Eric, who are these fraudsters? Last I heard none of our board members take a salary from the club so they're not exactly Nick Leeson

I think the club would be better off without the whole board and BK rather than without Moyesy. True we have levelled out in terms of progress on the field, off the field we have gone backwards badly. Our board have ridden along without putting any of their own cash in, and here we are about to sell the best players we have again, eg: Jack albeit potentially one of our best. How do you explain to your 4 year old that the club we both love cannot keep its best players? Think all of us are just happy putting up with it and as fans need to make board more aware of our feelings and quickly. Its a catch 22 situation but a stand needs to be taken. Look at them across the park, they got an improvement because they forced the issue.

As a exile living in the land of the lower divisions I have watched the ex Bournemouth boss and now Burnley Eddie Howe develop. He would be a brilliant replacement for Moyes, should jump ship. He is young, motivated and his record for results is proven. He works wonders with a tight budget, so much so I sure he could do a job with with some loaves and fishes at half time. PS His wages are a 6th of Moyesy (so there is £2.4Million cash already)

It's breaking my heart! I hate seeing our beloved club as the poor relation. Almost every club in the premier league AND championship have spent more than Everton this season. I watch games with my kids and I can see their hopes fade when we go a goal down and Moyes brings on Big Vic to try and turn the game! Poking around the lower divisions in both europe and at home picking up the likes of Vellios, Silva, Guaye and the young lad from Azerbaijan, can't be the way forward! I don't want us to sell our souls like Chelsea and City have, but I want the manager to be able to improve the squad season on season. £2-3million pound players playing under Moyes and with this current squad could develop into world beaters. Barrell scraping for a few hundred grand just wont do! We need investment or to batten down for a long and ugly scrap to save ourselves! COYB!

O'Neil, Curbishley, Allardyce??? No chance, none could improve Everton. O'Neil finished in and around the same places as Everton each season with a much higher budget and a terrible brand of football. Villa fans wanted rid. Would rather take a punt on Owen Coyle any day of the week. Good brand of football and EFFECTIVE with it. Saying this I do hope Moyes stays, but he needs to be more pro active in the transfer market. Even if we have the limited budget we all fear. If Rodwell or Felli have to leave, then he should do the business early and recruit. We could have made big bucks last summer for Heitinga and Arteta, Saha the year before (£8m?!), and invested the cash in fresh blood, new talent. God knows we need it.

"We could not afford £500k to sign Hamill from Barnsley..." I for one do not believe this for one minute. I do not believe that there was no transfer budget available in January. I think that whilst it obviously wasn't megaquids, that DM did have some budget and that for whatever reason - chose not to spend. If he'd gone out and bought a £2-3 million flop, we'd have all berated him and BK... so the club can't win. I'm not defending DM or BK, merely stating what I feel to be the case.

Owen Coyle would be the perfect replacement. Similar in some aspects but more attack minded. Would leave Bolton in a heart beat for an opportunity to manage Everton.

The next three signings Moyes makes will be the most important of his, and Everton's, future. We need players with b******s, cos they haven't shown any this year apart from Cahill in the months leading up to the Asian cup.

Given our predicament the unpalatable truth is we will have to sell. So, why is Moyes talking about the summer before raising matters with the board, or even for them waiting to have teased out of them whatever strategy they may or may not have. While it grieves us all to contemplate having to sell the club needs to face up to reality now so we go into the summer transfer market with some semblance of a strategy rather, as previously, looking bemused only to have others dictate terms to us. For example, Jack has recently signed a long term deal is in no rush to leave. We could opt to resist all temptations, hang on see him develop further playing for us whilst seeing his value rise. Instead of trying to entice Fellaini (forlornly?) with and extended contract on wages we probably can't afford better to cash on him rather than Jack. So too with forwards - are we gonna sell Vaughany, Victor, Louis, whoever and for who? Moyes could do himself and the club a lot of good by forcing the pace in determining what to do before the summer not in the middle of it and get suckered yet again.

Martin O'Neill is always a big risk because of his petulance. People forget how much he had spent while he was at Villa and they finished pretty much around the same place each season he was there. Lerner said he couldn't spend any more and the toys went out of the pram. Plus his brand of football, while kind of effective, was dull and left them below us when they were expected to finish higher. Would he be able to cope with the pressures at Everton? Everyone, Kenwright included - and I genuinely believe he means it when he says that - thinks that the time has come and gone for him to step down as chairman. But who will come in?

I have mixed feelings about this summer for Everton. Do we cash in on Rodwell, do we turn offers down? It has to be said the press are doing their best to sell Jack and won't rest till he's gone. What Jack needs to think is where is he more guaranteed a game? Because once Fergie has gone the next boss may not fancy him. If he really has to go then let's get top dollar. Let's fleece the buyer for the maximum you can get for an England player of the next 10yrs as the RS said about Carroll. Let's not flog him on the cheap for 25m plus add ons. Straight hard cash and all up front. Then we have Fellaini. The way I see the big guy is that if Moyes is forced to sell him then I'd be aggrieved and let's get top dollar. But if he comes out and says he wants to go can we really blame him? On his day he'll walk into any midfield and how does Moyes sell a new contract to him? If he goes let's send him away with our blessing and not berate the lad Lescott/Pienaar style.

Why all this nonsense about Allardyce being the only realistic manager to come to us Chris? Why not Martin o`Neill or Curbishley? Both could do a good job here in my opinion!
