Shut Up Doom Mongers

The last few weeks have done my head in, as once again the doom mongers are out in force. At Everton we have to have the most critical fans in the whole of the country, are they ever happy.

We live in a football world were money counts, we have none admittedly, but in Moyes we trust. We lie four points behind Liverpool, nine points behind Spurs, and twelve behind City who currently are clinging onto a Champions League place.

My point is that these three clubs collectively must have spent in excess of £250m between them in the last twelve months. Where has it got them, in tons of debt and the highest placed club of those three Man City are only three to four wins better than us. If you count our draws this season we could easily be up there with them, if not surpassing them.

Our problem over the last few seasons has been poor start to our campaigns. We all knew this season that we were missing a fit quality front man; Moyesy admitted as much the other week. If we sort that one out in the summer, I can see the Blues once again pushing on next season to seriously challenge for a top four slot.

No doubt we will lose the odd 'star' in the summer, we always seem to. We have a Manager though who keeps pulling new players out of the magician's hat, and he will no doubt do it again.

The Blues are on an upward curve, and come next season a few lessons from the past few seasons must be learnt. For the doubters out there, things are not as bad as what has been painted of late, so get behind the team and stop whining.

In Moyes we trust

Every one is intitled to an opinion, but when it is constantly negative and full of conspiracy and lacking any real fact it should be taken with a pinch of salt. The club financially is not in a great position but majority of the Premier League are in more debt than the Blues. We have over acheived in respect to our spending when you compare us with the likes of Spurs, Chelsea, City and Liverpool. We have a younger squad and we are buying players with major potential, the acemedy continues to bring some decent footballers through overall we are not in a bad position but it could be better. Overall we have good base stability is key and supporting Moyes and the boys is what is required.

I don't mind the moaners moaning. I only wish they'd go and do it in the middle of the Atlantic and leave the rest of us to watch the game and support the team.

I've stopped reading Toffeeweb and I hope other Evertonians do to. It's become a poisonous website and one that is counter to the best interests of the club. Moyes is our best asset and I'd rather have Kenwright in the director's box than some no-mark from the Middle East, wearing a scarf and doing stupid high-fives when we score. Moyes is very close to achieving something with our club, from what is a hugely disadvantageous financial position. Moyes and Kenwright are genuine and talented men who need our support.

Chris "OMFG" from Durham Just brilliant. Add to that - "these will be the same fans who objected to the Kirkby move - the deal of the century - £400m stadium that would have left a debt on our books of less than £40m" - the investors would have been crawling all over us. Lets face it - take the passion and love out of the club - who in their right mind is going to pay £120m for us, they'll then need to spend another shitload for a new stadium or to renovate our one......oh and to top it off they will have to constantly be up against the red shite supporting Liverpool Council who will block every single application we put in. You need to go now if you can't enjoy finishing in the top 10 as our mini league starts outside the top 6 and we're currently top and the reality is thats as good as its going to get for a long long time.

Big tommy, Did you renew your excellent seat when we were finishing 15th, 16th, 17th and staying up on the last day of the season?????? Or did you just start getting your excellent seat when we started finishing 4th, 5th and 6th????? We look like we are going to finish 7th and your not renewing. Well I for one would Won't be gutted when your excellent seat has someone elses arse on it at the start of next season. Get a grip man

In fairness when the entire preseason is spent hyping up our chances for champs league or even the prem title the fans are going to be fairly let down when for the majority of the season we've had to endure abject displays and spent most the time sitting in the bottom half. Frankly the only reason were 7th now is because of the nature of this season and how silly its been. Wouldn't you be annoyed if you've spent 550 pound on a season ticket and 32 games into a season we've only won 6 out of 16 home games. watched abismal displays against west brom newcastle wigan birmingham west ham....etc etc hardly makes you want to run out and spend it again. That rant of course has to be taken in the context that we started the season hoping for champs league. if were staisfied in just surviving in the prem then long may that form continue.

If you pay your money you're entitled to express an opinion. The problem with moaners is that they always think they and they alone are right and everyone else is wrong. That's why they make more noise than anyone else. Nobody likes someone who does nothing else but moan and whinge and have a face like a smacked behind. What some of the moaners will do when the target of their moans is gone is start moaning about something or someone else. Really it's a matter of personal character or lack of it. They'll never change so its best to leave them to it. You usually find moaners stick together so they can create greater noise and spoil everybody else's day. That's their real target. Most people steer clear of them like the plague.

Question. How bad does it have to get before we are allowed to critisise the club and the people who are paid hansomely for running it?.

I can see both sides of it. It's been a bad season. It's not been enjoyable. 7th would not be so bad if we had had a cup run. All the other clubs above us have been in Europe and we should have used that to our advantage but the bad start killed it. We didn't have real injury problems like we did last season and we've frankly pissed it up the wall. It's just been a bad season for us and most clubs have them. If a few players go in the summer, then so be it. I still think Moyes is our biggest asset. In his first season when we finished 7th, it was like a god send because we had been so bad for over five years previously. So let's not forget the progress. But I think we have forgotten some at the club have forgotten the club's motto. It seems we need a wad of cash so we can get to the next level.

Howie from Mold, it's rather interesting that you state that you clearly like to have a good moan based on what you have said, however your facts are incorrect, when have we ever sold players to balance the books?? We sell players who want to leave then we use those funds to replace the player, what exactly do you want from a club that has had zero investment?? Perhaps a champions league place?? Perhaps silverware?? We are getting more than what a club with no investment should ever get, regular top 10 finishes, up untill this season regular places in Europe, what more do you want, you moan because im guessing like the other whingers on here you moan about everything, Big Tommy WTF?!?!?! you get pissed off with a player for not removing his headphones to say hello to fans like you?!?!?!? Why should they answer to people like you?? Would you sit there and take it?? NO of course you wouldn't. This year started bad but we are in 7th place and have spent nothing, Tommy you mention cost, why do you think they charge so much??? Because we are skint???? Are you really that daft that you don't realise that money spent in the stadium or over seas is helping the club???? OMG I AM GOING FRIGGIN INSANE, Orry from Toxteth do you really think that if it was just a simple case of finding £10m for Donovan then we would just simply do it?? OMFG!!! The club is run on a shoe string granted we need investment badly but how can you complain on us not spending money??? Are you that stupid that you can't see that by running the club they way they are is the only thing that is keeping us afloat??, ie stopping us from going into administration, have you heard nothing of the law that soon clubs will not be able to overspend?? The club is being ran brilliantly WE JUST NEED INVESTMENT MY GOD CAN YOU PEOPLE REALLY NOT SEE THE BIG PICTURE?? AAARRRRGHHHH!!!! You are moaning about the most stupid of things, I am sick to death of so called supporters just whinging if you want to whinge go right an email to "whogivesahityouwhingingarse@hotmail.com" because people are sick of reading it, if you dont like it it's quite simple really FUCK OFF AND SUPPORT SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!!

I agree Paul, too many doom mongers out there and people with unrealistic expectations. Toffeeweb isn't all bad, although I admit some of the negative garbage and conspiracy theorists there would do your head in. There are some positve people posting there but the problem is made worse by Michael Kenrick, one of the editors, being so anti Moyes. Read one of his pieces even after a good win he can't resist having a dig.

Orry... You state "we must be able to muster up 10 million" did you not see the figures released by the club a month or so ago. We are stretching every single penny in all aspects of the club. Fans only care about the money we have in the transfer kitty but we have to take care of other expensive that still occur in running a multi million pound business. Getting the club in a stable financial situation is at the upmost importance, especially in these financial times where clubs are dropping like fly's. You say that we must be the most attractive investment because of things like fan base etc. Im sorry but nobody would ever invest money into a debt ridden company just because of location or interest. We need to focus on securing the books for now and then we can realistically dream of a big time investor. We Will Prevail!

Am agreeing with Big Tommy, we got a right to moan. We need to start spending. I'm not saying spend 50 mill a season and build up huge debts but theres no excuse for us not to at least be spending our Sky money each season. The likes of Stoke, Sunderland and Brum are out spending us. We only needed to come up with about 10 mil, for Donovan, I don t see how we can t muster up that amount. We could be easily in the top 4 now with the points we've dropped with him in the side an that money would be made back with the League places and Champ League money. Kenwright needs to work harder to find investment end of. We've got to be one of the most attractive investment oppertunities in the league - Great fanbase, Great City, A number of Great players already here and a Good manager (Despite some of his Subs and tactics being ridiculous sometimes). We are not gonna move much further forward without it.

MOANERS PAUL. HOW VERY DARE YOU!!! I have renewed my S. T. @ £500.00. I have every right to express my opinion of the club i live for. And if you know your history, Nil Satis Nisi Optimum. Squad every season is too small, not enough quality, sell our best players to balance the books?! £45 mil in te red. We only sell our mercandise at our shops or online( still cant fathom this one out, great way to promote the club ). All the lies, re groung move, n voting. It costs £40 + if you live outside the city to get 2/3 autographs, n photo with the players, not to mention take time off work to do it. I could go on, but i wont. The positives, Tim Cahill( we flog him to death), Feleini, Jagielka, Colman, Baines, Arteta and Osman, not to mention the Boss. Sadly not sure how many of them we'll see next season. That's not good enough for a club i consider to be one of the biggest, in the country.

I agree with Tommy, we all love our club but when they banned that poor fan I thought it was disgraceful. Asking for our money again while Granchester sits there with his hands in his pocket again disgraceful, we have a top manager and a good squad. The problem with you Paul is you can't see the shit through the trees.

Toffeeweb are a disgrace to Everton. When I read an article on about who was worse Kenwright or Johnson I just wanted to strangle the whingers. No sense of history, perspective or rationale. It's people like them that send out the wrong message about us and our club. Things are not perfect but at least we have made improvements and are heading in the right direction. In Moyes we trust and that's final!

What you find is that when things are going alright, there's only a few moaners. When things go wrong there's loads. Some people will moan all their life about anything they go near including a football team. I leave them to themselves because life can be difficult enough anyway. The last thing you need is some moaning twat in your ear all the time.

I totally agree that things aren't as bad as they are made out to be. It does my head in when people say that Bill Kenwright is refusing to sell the club because it's his plaything. He has said many times that he needs to sell the club, but is has to be to the right people. We need people who will give the manager time and let him build a team gradually, not buy players over the managers head, use the club's finances to buy the club, and then leave it saddled with debt when they get bored. On paper, with the money spent and the quality of players that they have bought Man City should have won the league, but it doesn't work like that. They need time to gel, and if you bring in too many super-egos at once and too many players who think that they are the best at the club, then there are going to be clashes. is anyone going to tell me that Johnny Heitinga hasn't had a bit of stick off the others for claiming that he's the best defender? At a club where team spirit rules all, being able to have a laugh at your own expense and being patient are hugely important

Sorry Paul.wrong.When you work hard for your cash and a player doesn't even have the decency to remove his headphones to say hello(Newcastle away at the team hotel, just days after being knocked out of the F.A. Cup by a tin-pot team). When you have 'lesser' teams getting investment and questionably your club with history in abundance and very little debt and a great fan base. When your team just don't 'go to work?' AGAIN when your up at 4am to start a 12-15hr shift,When you go to your stadium and blatantly get ripped of in cost and service, when you have to defend the defenceless to red knob heads week in and week out because your club is like your family, when you find out the club you love have banned a season ticket holder of some 37yrs for a 'heat of the moment' none racist comment(you know who you are who grassed, you filth) when they should be supporting him, then & onlythen can you come on here telling others not to whine.ITS MY RIGHT IF I FEEL IT'S REQUIRED.I have just today had a phone call from the club why I havnt renewed my season tickets(plural, not 1 or 2,but 3),Please read the aforementioned again. That's why.Do I love my club?yes. Will I be gutted when My excellent seating has someone elses Arse in it at the start of the next season?yes.Just don't tell me I can't kick the Dog.

I totally agree money buys bugger all (just ask Chelski who have paid a Somali pirate’s ransom for a Mannequin) and if Beckford, Magaye and Apostlois are given the next six games to play in the big time then we have the potential for great strike force for next year. Remember we will have fully fit Tim and Louis back as well. Seamus will have matured. Jezzz I am excited There could be a few coppers form flogging Yak and Joey and if someone else leaves so be it So smile, the future is beautiful and its BLUE

Theres always going to be moaners and doom mongers even if we were top of the table. I never pay any attention to them. Theres a gang of them at all clubs. THERES LOTS WORSE THAN OURS THOUGH.

Absolutely spot on. The moaners at Toffeeweb were out in force again after we won a game 3-0. You would not want to be stuck in a room with them. Frankly, that website is an embarrassment to our club and I think we should start a boycott.

Just throwing more gloss on Pauls comments The 3 teams you mentioned, we have taken 4pts of spurs 4pts of Liverpool and have beaten Man City away with a home game to come. Maybe we are not that bad after all.

Possibly a touch too optimistic Paul, but I take your point - things are not as bad as they maybe seem at first, and Mr Moyes does have a good track record of taking us nearly up to the finish line, he just needs that little bit of cash to back up his stalwarts
