Whats The Point In Buying A Season Ticket
Bookmark and Share

Once again offshore Evertonians have lost a lot of money because of Sky TV changing fixtures but to be told that our game has moved because of SUNDERLAND'S commitments just adds salt into the wounds.

This means I and many other Isle of Man fans have now got useless (approx £100) airline tickets for the Wednesday fixture.

If football is happy to grab Sky's £m's at the expense of true supporters then what is the point in buying season tickets?

Same thing happened to me at the new year. , Flights booked New Years eve going back on the Tuesday. Sky moved the West Brom game to the Sunday and moved the Bolton game to Wed. But Juan sometimes these things are meant to be , I had a great time , watched the West Brom game in a City Centre pub with fellow Blues and thankfully missed the Bolton horror show which would have ruined a great weekend anyway! Chin up, make the trip and have a ball, great city friendly people.

Good point Juan. I still go to the match, but gave up my season ticket 3 years ago for the same reason. Our round trips are only 300 miles for home games, and all on motorways, but the re arranging of work shifts, double spending of brownie points, and a fu**ed up social calander have become things of the past. Im lucky to have well connected friends for big match tickets, without this Id still be at the mercy of Sky, and at risk of being bin bagged on average 6 times a season. (this is now down to 2 plus derbies) but I live in hope that one day sky, the blue onions, and West Brom mid day on 1st jan will end. True football values will return and we all enjoy 3 o clock saturdays for the reason they were invented. ETID

That is absolutley disgraceful and EFC should have this in mind and solve the issue, once verified. I remember Niall Quinn, when he was Chairman of Sunderland, paying for a taxi for about 50 fans who missed the bus back from a game at Portsmouth i think.... Write to the club and demand they take the issue up with Sky

It's a real shame for JK and others who have to make their travel arrangements in advance, but unfortunately ((as stated in the small print)) the fixtures are subject to change at the whim of the FA..

I don't have to worry about booking travel, hotels etc. but I can understand your frustrations. So what are the advantages for me? Well I sit with the same people each game for one. Cheaper cup tickets. Priority for away games. It's cheaper cause you get 2 games free. Mind you, when you consider the offers, allow for the odd game you can't get to due to sickness, work or family commitments and you might not save money. If I didn't have a season ticket I wouldn't have gone to the Spurs game last January as I thought we'd get slaughtered. I'm glad I did. All in all you're better off with a season ticket but with the football we're playing, coupled with games on Sunday (which I hate) and on Monday or Friday nights I don't think I will be renewing next time. I'll always support them but more from my armchair or the pub.

I couldnt agree more, I know how much of a headache it is to have to book time off work let alone organise another flight, same for a lot of people I know that come across from Ireland for the game. The club needs to take responsibility for loyal fans losing out. It's a joke along with most things linked with the club. Rant Over
