BLUE UNION - Be careful for what you wish for!

New investment comes a new foreign chairman! (Who know's nothing about Everton or our
history or loyalty to the club).

Aston Villa! Randy learner who appoints a new manager from Birmingham City!
Birmingham City! Preparing to go down the pan with their chairman!
Manchester City past chairman! "Long live the king of Thailand" being flashed around the
ground 5 minutes before kick off!
Blackburn Rovers! What a great job those chicken farmers are doing at the helm!
QPR! Sack's one of the countries best managers!
Manchester United! Say no more!

Remember, foreign investors make investments so they can make a profit for themselves not
the club, even if it means selling the family silver!

New Ground! Goodison Park is the clubs history, tradition, the ghosts of Harry Catterick
& Dixie Dean who died at the ground walk the historic stadium, not some carbon copy
breeze block carbuncle. A new stadium is to cater for a new breed of one day Evertonians
making their once and only visit to the newly named 'Crabbies Ginger Beer stadium'!

Does anybody really believe a new billionaire investor will be doing it for the love of Everton?

Not a supporter of BU but do feel the club needs influx of money to thrive rather than just survive. Thought Bill Kenwright agreed with this which is why he is actively trying to sell the club! We would all prefer to stay at Goodison if it could be re-developed, but unless they are able to flatten some of the houses surrounding it that is never going to happen. If someone can come up with a good example of a groundshare in this country (with our climate, finances and culture)that has been a success then I might be persuaded that it is a viable option. Don't think Randy Lerner's money at Villa has been the problem, just that he hasn't found the right manager - let's face it there aren't actually that many around who have been truly successful. I would include Neil Warnock as one who is just not quite top level - good for a scrap in the Championship but can't sustain it in the Prem. Personally I'd have no problem taking an ex-LFC manager if they were right for the job (not that I can think of any at the moment) especially as we have taken ex-players who have done us proud. Not sure whether the Manchester clubs are good examples of how foreign money is bad for a club. Thaksin Shinawatra may have been dodgy but that doesn't mean his money wouldn't have helped Citeh at the time. Current owners are in process of turning them into one of biggest clubs in Europe (and therefore the world). United may be mortgaged to the hilt but they are not in peril of going under financially, unlike ourselves (again refer to Mr Kenwright and his quest for investment).

Chris @14 -I agree wholeheartedly, a vote from everyone who goes through the gate on matchday would tell us where we are at. However, as you have pointed out, there is little chance of that -the board is unlikely to sanction it so it won't happen. Therefore, surely, my original point stands then? -if there was a link on each of the Everton forum and fan sites (not sure how well the administators of each site know each other, but it can't be too difficult to organise, we've all got the same interest at heart afterall). It would highlight if there is indeed strong opposition to Kenwright and the board or if the vast majority, as I believe may well be the case, acept that the board are doing the best they can for the club under the current circumstance. My point was that a vote on a Blue Union site that I suspect most non-BU supporters have never heard of will be predictably biased. I'm not IT proficient enough to set such a vote up, but a young 'un with more programming experience than I have could easily do it -there's a challenge, please someone take it on.... p.s. Richie Styles -you've missed the point. A lot of non-BU supporters believe that what the BU have done has tarnished the reputation of Evertonians as well as having a damaging effect on the team. We really should be speaking up against you then, shouldn't we.

Phil the Fluter - wtf is the point of your post, just to abuse somebody else, if anyone wants to f*** off ity should be you!! nice to see everyone now thinks everything is rosey now we have won a few games, we will back in the same position this time next year if nothing changes ... if we are lucky

Richy Styles you really are a big mouthed arse hole like all the BU people. How many times have you got to be told THERE'S NO FUCKING MONEY MONEY FOR ANYBODY ANYWHERE. Even whole countries are going bankrupt while millions of people are heading into unemployment and poverty all over the world, while tools like you talk about 'funds being available for football'. Do everyone a favour and just fuck off and take your whining fantasies and fairy tales with you to the ale house. Fucking idiot. No wonder footie's going broke with nutjobs like you around.

Its all fine when things are going well for us, but if things are going down the swanny then we either all except it and keep quiet or you open your mouth and try to do something about it! Lady luck has been on our side since some of the back 4 got injured, Duffy stepped in and did a brilliant job, Neville played at right back, the loan players and kids all got their turn and things have worked out well so far. The 4 games will tell us if we are going to heading for a cup run and higher placing in the P.league or if we are going out of the cup and end up mid table finish... But those problems wont go away, because the on loan players will be going home if the funds are not available and what will we be left with then....The sheep will buy their season tickets even if nobody is bought loaned or whatever....so they can't hold the club to randsom...so the only alternative is to get off your arses and support the BU or keep your gob shut! And except second best and head towards the Rangers outcome...

BLUE UNION : passionate but deluded, well intended but ignorant, ultimately an embarrassing irrelevance. As the saying goes "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem". If they themselves don't have the finances to buy out whoever they wish to see replaced, they would better serve the team by using their lung power to cheer them on, as well as a manager who continues to do his best to defy the odds whilst working the occasional miracle. They may only make up a relatively small percentage of EFC's fanbase but every little helps when it comes to supporting the team.

Chiz@13. Surely the only way to truely find out what is going on is to ask supporters on the gate their feelings. Even if we had a vote on here or the blueroom it would be far more Pro-kenwright than one on Toffeeweb with them miserable buggars. If it needs to be the fanbase we really need to organise a survey of people as they head into the ground- and what are the chances of that-0. Thats why we'll just produce surveys on whatever we want to find out as results. There are lies, damn lies and statistics as they say.

If SOS1878 is a BU site, they could've asked to set up a link from a site (such as Blue Kipper) that we do read, and then the vote would have been a truer reflection of what fans think -it's like asking a sci-fi convention if there is any merit in Science Fiction. And even with their own site that they've kept very hush hush they still didn't get 100% support!!! Think that says it all. Blue Kipper -I challenge you to set up a similar vote asking simple question "Do you agree with the actions of the Blue Union?" Yes or No. Dead simple. I sit here wondering if this post will ever see the light of day!

Great shout Eddy 1. That'd be ideal. Trouble is any new stadium needs to be supported by adjoining development and after Kirkby no big firm is going to touch Merseyside with a barge pole, and since we can't afford to build a stand alone stadium we're f*cked for the forseeable future. Might as well get used to it :o(

Chris @ 8, all new grounds everywhere in the world are built with the same materials just as old grounds were built of brickwork. Kirkby was what we could afford and best suited to and capable of expansion if we ever needed to and it would have made a massive difference to the club's prospects. Now we're stuck at Goodison for at least ten years and praying the FFP will help, where likely it will make things worse and in favour of the clubs with bigger grounds and therefore more revenue. We had a chance if we had gone to Kirkby, now we're fighting to exist and stay in business with what we've got. All the wishful thinking, leaflets and 'protests' in the world won't change a thing. Even a new stadium has to be handled carefully so it doesn't cramp the ability to buy new players, as even Arsenal have found out. It's time for football supporters to grow up and face reality.

Everton is worth what anyone is willing to pay, not what rumour makers on a website think. So far nobody's made a determined offer or it would have been publicised whether the club wanted it or not. Some people just hate Kenwright and nothing else and think once he's gone everything will be hunky dory. Well Rangers just got sold for a pound and look what happened to them, same as Wolves and Man City before they got lucky. As for Man United they've got the biggest debt in the Premier League despite crowds of 75,000 and winning things. It's the financial model of ownership that's wrong and every club is owned and run the same way. The blue union and it's hangers on haven't got a clue how to change any of it for the better except to sell the club. I bet if Everton got sold and the buyer did what Whyte's just done to Rangers the blue union would blame Kenwright. That's why the small support they've got is dwindling and will go on dwindling especially if results continue to improve. They're a waste of space.

The BU and their gang can fu*k right off. They trade on whingein' and whinin'. Stay away from the ground and the club because you're not wanted.

Isn't it BK who tred to move Everton to a 'carbon copy breeze block carbunkle'. But why let facts get in the way. For me the BU are not the best fans group in the world and I question their ways and motives, but I still don't trust the board and am very worried about the future. BK has lied to fans, over the Sports Fortress funding, watch this space, and the Kirkby fiasco. Let the Kings Dock. We are upto our eyeballs in debt. I really think something major has to happen soon- either a sale or investment or Administration. Sadly I just can't see anyone buying us in our current state. Esp if Bk and the board want £150 million. If BK was not a blue and played on that loyalty how many would support him?

The Blue Union really doesn't matter unless they have somebody with a huge pot, so best bet is to just hope they crawl back to where they came from. Reality check: Football as with global finance is on the decline. The overseas rich-man's plaything is about to bite them on the arse, Rangers problems are not just about over-spending, they are about hiding payments overseas. Current tax legislations are changing and while previously the small business man took a spanking, the biggies and financiers are finally being brought to book. The UK will become an overseas billionaire's graveyard and that will also kick the multi millionaire mercenary footballers into touch, god only knows how much of their wages are hidden overseas. New stadium- it is actually required, recent history shows the upturn in attendances and revenues that can generate. Do we share with the shite? Absolutely, if it means the council and EU are gibbing in. The Old Lady really is a toilet...sad but true. Even if we manage to get a financier, we would never recover from a stadium outlay. Blue Bill- the man is a fucking hero, leave him alone any of you arses that bother him. or, do what he does and quit your jobs and work at everton for fuck all, re-mortgage your house and chuck it in the pot or just fuck off. So... in the real world, it will all come full circle one day and wont be about money,SKY will get bored or Murdoch hounded out of the UK with his papers, the sheiks, Yanks, Russian gangsters and any other gobshite with money will find a new toy..F1 is looking good dont you think?? DM- some of what we watch is shite.. we know it but having said that DM sets up with what he has got, hopefully he will sit tight too when 'Arry decides to commit professional suicide with England. Academy--this is working...Blue Union?? Why don't you demonstrate that you dicks. Over all its looking ok....

SOS1878 is one the Blue Union websites. They have a poll "Do you support the Blue Union?" The vote was pretty close 50-50 and suddenly it jumped in a second by about 150 in favour of support of the BU. I left a comment to that effect which was removed pretty quick. They cannot be trusted.

A strange hush has been heard around Goodison this past couple of weeks, as the Old Lady Rocks, the Fans start singing /chanting and making merry on the back of some good results and a few decent signings, but The Blue Union has fallen silent, due to the fact that they are enjoying the Merriment also. We are all in fact Blue to the Core and some of our wishes have been granted. So get your arses back on seats lads and lets Roar The Blues to another great season finale. Come On Everton.

Yes I totally agree Eddy, but unfortunately this site is pretty much over run by members of The Blue Union nowadays so as long as you're on here most of the stuff you're gonna hear is their side to everything which the majority of us "true blues" know is total bullshit.

I agree! (apart from QPR sacking one of the countries best managers). If I had the money me'self, I would plough into our great club! However, in the 'real world' foreign investors appear to be the only option, if fans want new grounds and investment in players. I don't particularly want to share with the redshite, as we would lose our identity, and our history! Where some might not be happy with 'Corrie Bill' and the board, at least we have kept our identity and league status. I personally think that we owe him a debt of gratitude for his committment to the club. History will be the judge of Bill kenwright! He wants to leave us in good hands! (Park hampers, nearly killed the club). As a fan he wants what we all want. A new ground with good facilities, pots of money to spend, and to be at the top of the league and in Europe every season, but at the moment we will just have to carry on regardless!

On their website Blue Union claim they deal with issues not individuals, and at the same time show photographs of people with banners reading Kenwright Out! They also try to distribute leaflets against four individuals! Thats apart from the clown carrying cakes and abuse hurled at club individuals. The result is the vast majority of fans I know don't support BU and think they're just noise makers for their own sake. On top of that they see what sale of a club has done in other places. Kenwright and co are not ideal by any means, but nobody is, and some are a lot lot worse.

The Blue Union need to get real and enter the real world. Goodison is historic but it's past it's sell by date, we need to move on. Everton should have bought the Capmfield land on Heyworth street years ago and built a new stadium there. Through gritted teeth, I think it's time to stadium share.
