'Hi Blue Kipper,
Just a word of caution regarding Everton's forthcoming friendly in Malaga (August 11th 2012). You may want to put this up.
The annual festival 'Feria de Malaga' begins the following day. It is a marvellous occasion and very popular.
The problem is that it gets very busy and accommodation is at a premium. We went last year and got off lightly with 100 Euros a night for a double room in a modest hotel.
My advice is book early, and be prepared to stay somewhere a little out of town if need be.

Just to let you know, Ronnie, that the 8th is on Wednesday. Looks like you'll have to nick another day off work.

Just booked Thurs 8th for 10 nights to Torremolinos, £680 half board for the three of us with onthebeach.com . Just need three tickets now! There will be loads of blues there I'm sure. Will the club make it hard to purchase tickets ?

absolutley gutted the club announced it so late already booked my lads holiday this year, went to torremolinos last year which is a ten minute train from malaga airport. benalmadina at night is full of english,its got a 24 hour square which would be quality if it was full of blues,reckon there will be 1000 to 1500 goin to malaga

Torremolinos is only about 20 mins from the airport and offers bars and a nice beach if anyone fancies making it into a short break/lads trip!!

No reason to stay in Malaga at all lads as there are very cheap places just down the road - You have Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Marbella all very close and all within a 20 - €30 taxi ride from the ground

Have just booked a weekend in Malaga for me & the wife for £297.23 each includes Friday mornng flight from Manchester to Malaga 3 Nights B&B in the TRYP Alameda Hotel and return flights Monday morning to Manchester.
Sounds a good deal to me. Try booking through lastminute.com Just need to get match tickets which I'm sure won't be a problem.

Just to be cheeky, remember Gibraltar is only an hour away with lots of nice hotel, english pubs, multicutual food, everyone is english speaking and a surprisingly high number of everton shirts on the streets . Unfortunately that is the week I am on holiday which is a pain.
