I was staring now to assemble a team of Everton legends on my body and a team is not complete without a goalkeeper.

Over the 44 years I have watched Everton I have seen some great players wear the green jersey but nobody will ever have the ability as the man from Llandudno who started his life as a binman then went on to make 578 appearances for Everton also collecting 92 Welsh caps for his country.

There are too many great displays to list in this paragraph but even today's generation will have been told a story or two of Neville Southall, the EVERTON legend
