"Oh Andy is our King" cried the Everton faithful and "where's King's drive" was the question to which the reply "in the back of Clemence's net of course referring to that wonder strike after netting our winner against the enemy for the first time in seven years back in October 1978.
Then after the game he was told to "get off the pitch" by the local constabulary whilst being interviewed on the pitch side. Andy had 2 spells for Everton after first being signed by Billy Bingam from Luton Town for £35,000! He was one of the biggest bargains Everton ever made and now scouts for Northampton Town.
So for netting that priceless goal against the enemy he was a cert to join the others on my back.
