Lily Cooney all but lived for the blues and we are immensely proud that in her 90th year she made it to Wembley twice after undergoing a major operation for cancer in 2007. She'd bought her season ticket and was looking forward to cheering the lads on again but sadly passed away peacefully on the evening of 13th June 2009. We loved her so much and were so proud of her devotion and determination - to say we'll miss her is an understatement, as we're sure all her friends in the Main Stand will too. Love and miss you, mum - Your royal blue family, heartbroken husband John, sons Brian and Kevin, daughters Sheila, Kathleen, Patricia, sons/daughters in laws and grandchildren xxx
