Great poignant gesture BK team. I recall it like yesterday. We got back in town at 7.30 p.m. from Villa Park but celebrating was the last thing on our minds. Things like this put the game and life in perspective. I wish and hope one day Justice is done. RIP 96.

Still have the Liverpool Echo exerts from this day, and vivid memories of the events, and the cover ups thereafter from a mediocre police force. It is the only time I have visited Anfield to pay my respects after this to lay a wreath. I am deeply moved and sorry for the good folk who suffered, and those who continue to suffer, due to bad beauracy.
Gerard and family.

The colour of your scarf or shirt doesn't matter when it comes to issues like this. Football fans can stand united in the face of the continued injustice of Hillsborough. British justice was the 97th. victim that day.
Thank, Blue Kipper for proving that club rivalry comes second to brother and sisterhood.

Fantastic gesture. I'll never forget 100k + singing Merseyside at Wembley after the 96 were taken from us. As a Kop season ticket holder, I still see EFC as brothers in arms. Let's not let the bigots take over football in OUR City. Great job Blue kipper. JFT 96.

For all the banter and abuse between the two sets of fans, the majority of my mates are split evenly between reds and blues. My Dad's a red. Living around Manchester and seeing the divide and absolute hatred between City and United fans - obviously I'm generalising - makes me realise how special the city of Liverpool is. We may be from two different teams, but when it matters we are ONE CITY. JFT96

22 years ago today 96 innocent football fans lost there lives. I was 14 years old and was at the Everton semi-final. I remember the news went all around Villa Park. Everybody was in shock when an incident rapidly turned into a tragedy. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the 96.R.I.P. Gone But Never Forgotten.

I was at Villa Park that day and we were all in shock. My best mate was at H'boro and I didn't find out he was okay (thank God) until I got to a phone at the services, where there were queues of Evertonians waiting to find out about friends and family. I cried when Abide With Me was played at a service at my college (Hope-formally Christ's and Notre Dame) and the whole thing puts fighting and all that nonesense into persective. God bless the 96 and thier families and friends.
