Andrew Jones R.I.P.

Yesterday morning whilst most of us were getting up, having breakfast, doing our shopping, watching our kids playing football or just contemplating the outcome of the forthcoming encounter with Spurs....Andy & Chris Jones were preparing for a vigil in memory of their Son Andrew, a massive Evertonian, who died 9 years ago after being attacked outside a nightclub on Hanover Street and after falling to the ground with a fractured skull was then kicked too.

Despite numerous appeals for help and information no one has ever been charged with Andrew's murder and his parents are once again appealing for the people with the man who attacked Andrew that evening to 'Search their consciences' and come forward with information.  There were at least another 9 people there who are continuing their lives, possibly now with their own children, knowing what happened that night. 

I can't imagine what it feels like to lose a child, though I know people who have and how devastating that is, but for your child to have been attacked and your knowing who was involved but not seeing justice brought must be absolutely unbearable......Please, search your souls and let this family grieve in the knowledge that justice has been done.
