Rhys Jones R.I.P.

Five years today Rhys Jones an 11 year old Evertonian was tragically shot dead not far from his home in Croxteth, Liverpool. He had been playing football with his mates. He died in the arms of his mother.

Remember standing in the parkend reading wsag about how Rhys's mum and dad having his school uniform hung up in his bedroom for the new term. It hit me. My son James same age. We had his hanging in his. I couldent help it. I broke down and cried. R.I.P. Rhys. This seasons for you. I hope.

I came over for a trip to Goodison Park 2007 to watch Everton play Wigan - this sad story had just happened. Terrible tragedy, and will always stay in my mind about this poor young boy, Rhys. God Bless you Rhys, flying high in heaven my dear. RIP.

5 years is a long time and then you feel guilty for failing to remember. It is 5 years of hurt for his family. We need to make sure that policing and politicians do things right. That will be a memorial that will make a difference. Jonny Amery( 1) said it better than I can.
