Alex Parker R.I.P.
Alex Parker

Everton legend Alex Parker has died today after a heart attack aged 74. Alex was a skilful right back, who played 220 games for Everton in the 50's and 60's scoring 5 goals. He was part of the great Everton team, which won the 1962-63 Championship. Alex won 15 Scottish caps. After leaving Everton, he joined Southport and later became a pub manager in Runcorn before moving back to Scotland where he continued in the pub trade in Gretna. In 2008 Alex along with his wife Irene, attended the ICON dinner for his great friend Alex Young. In June last year he was seriously ill and had a leg amputated. A great player and also a though gentleman. Condolences to Irene and all of Alex's family and friends from all at Blue Kipper.
