New York

I was in New York on business for the Zenit game and one of my lads gave me details of televised football for the week and the Zenit game was being covered by Fox Soccer.....through BK links, I discovered that Nevada Smiths in the lower East village was showing the game. Managed to slink away, Sausage style, to the pub and found it was the home for the Zenit USA supporters club. Great lads!! About half an hour in a couple of NY Blues - John and Chris - introduced themselves and we had a few beers with the Russian lads and a great time.

When the goal went in the US toffeemen launched into 'If you know your history'. They were sound lads, knew their footie, loved the toffees and hated the shite. The Russian lads even ordered the vodka snifters at the end of the game (I nicknamed one of them Sausagov/Russian Tony due to his coiffured mane and ability to handle bulk snifters) and ended by presenting me with a Russia shirt.

Fantastic afternon....almost as good as Nuremberg.....but not quite!

I have promised the Zenit lads and the NY Toffees that I would get their pictures on Kipper. Will you do the honours? COYB and FTRS. Mark. (06/04/08)

Singapore

Firstly just wanted to say what a top site it is. Right now the compliments are out of the way, I went to Singapore and Oz in October. I stayed in a hotel called the 'New Seven Storey' hotel in Singapore. One morning upon walking into reception (wearing my beloved blue shirt) I heard a foreign voice shout Kevin Ratcliffe, Neville Southall etc.... basically went through the players of the 80s. This guy worked in the hotel and told my he had supported Everton since he was a nipper. A few days later we booked to return to that hotel when we flew back from Australia. He told me I might have a pleasant surprise. As you can see in the pictures both sides of the hotel had been adorned with billboards about 50 foot high with our beloved Toffee men. As I left I gave him one of my shirts cos although you could buy shite tops and man utd tops nowhere sold Everton shirts. Cheers

New York Marathon

Please see attached pic of us in New York for the New York Marathon, raising monies for Cancer Research, £3,000. This was the Continental Airlines International Friendship run the day before the marathon, 14,000 runners, so many people recognise the colours, even a Nottingham Forrest fan wanted a picture with us ! No sign of the red-shite ! Even met a tour bus sales agent who followed the Blues, in particular the Nigerian trio. All the best to Ben Gbadamassi from the Bronx if you could mention him on the site.

The inset pic is during the marathon next day, finished in 3h:56m:53s. Thanks. Peter & Ciaran Downs - Park Enders. (06/04/08)

Big Joe Parkie

Just wanted to show everyone the picture of me and big Joe Parkinson.

I spent a good 20 minutes talking his ear off and probably ruined his night out, but he was still a top, top bloke.

New Zealand Blues

Here's a pic of me and my mate, Andy Shone, a mad Blues supporter now living in New Zealand. Hope you can put these on your website - it would make a mad Blue Scouse Kiwi very happy. He's originally from Whiston. Want to thank him and his family for showing us a good time when we visited them this summer. A message: Hope to see you again soon, Andy! Come on you Blues!!!
