I was 9 years old when I went to my very first Everton match.
I never went before because all of my family were either man u
scum fans or man city fans but nothing could stop me being a Blue
because I was just born to be an Evertonian. It was a chilly day
and I was wearing my bright orange Everton goaly top and an Everton
bobble hat and my scarf from 1978 which I found! Well as soon
as they kicked off the ball was played straight to kanchelskis
and he probably skinned that awful defender monkou and scored
in the 1st minute i couldn't believe it straight away at my 1st
match my fav player scores. I cant really remember the rest but
at half time it was 5 - 1. I know that when Egil Ostenstad (awful
player again) scored just before the half time whistle only the
Everton fans were applauding him this was the 1st shot they had
aswell. We only made 1 sub throughout the match and that was at
half time when we gave Paul Gerrard a go at goal he played decent
because Southampton were getting a few shots in and Gerrard was
making the saves. My man of the match had to be Gary Speed sorry
becasue he played amazing a few months later I was going to get
10 Speed on the back of my shirt but he traitored and left to
the geordie gas bags. On the way back to my car I seen a miserable
saint girl sitting on the coach and she said ' i cant believe
we lost to shitty Everton 7-1! ' so i replied ' I cant believe
it either we should've at least beaten you 20-1 you stripey cow.

EVERTON
3, FULHAM O. 24th, August,1963.
Atten:
Everton: West, Parker,
Meagan, Jimmy Gabriel, Labone, Kay, Scott, Stevens, Alex Young,
Temple, Morrissey.
Goalscorers: Scott,
Temple and an OG.
Everton were the League Champions. All I can remember is the green
of the pitch. The street end singing: 'Oh we hate St John....' and
'We'll hang the Koppites one by one on the banks of theRoyal Blue
Mersey'. Admirable sentiments. The crowd chanting 'chico' whenever
the late great Alex Scott touched the ball. His goal (the first)
hit from the touchline into the Park End goal. The sight of my two
favourite blues of all, St James Gabriel and the Blessed Alex Young.
It must have got to me, cos' I'm still a regular 39 years on. Michael

I was born
a blue. No choice (Thank god!!). Dads side of the family came
from Dane Street. First ever game was the Lineker season (85/86),
we played Villa at home and won 2-0. Never forget the moment
I walked up the steps and saw the hallowed turf for the first
time, I was dumbstruck to say the least! Great day out, first
we win, then we (dad his brother and my cousins bumped into
two of the family (dad's cousins I think) who were sitting in
the same stand as us after the game. Straight to the Winslow
(I was only 11/12) sat outside with a bottle of pop and a packet
of crisps while the oldies had a few. I remember watching Big
Nev walk down the road and thinking 'Autograph time!' Managed
to get a book full, dead proud. The smile never came off my
face for days!!! I am now addicted...!!! EFC_addict.

1 Rangers 1. 2nd Dec 1963. (Won 4-2 agg).
Everton:
West, Brown, Meagan, Gabriel, Heslop, Harris, Scot, Stevens,
Young, Vernon, Temple.
Goalscorer:
Young.
Mine was the trophy that Everton don't seem to shout about -
Dec 1963. Everton V Rangers to contest the British Championship
Cup between Champions of England and Champions of Scotland.
We drew 1-1 and won at Rangers 3-1 - becoming the first (and
last) team to win the trophy.
Been going to Goodison since then through 60's/70's/80's/90's
and currently - Main stand season ticket holders along with
my two sons and their kids - so family Blues throughout.
Fave players over that time - Alan Ball/Duncan McKenzie/Martin
Dobson/Mike Lyons/Graeme Sharp/Big Nev./Kevin Ratcliffe/Tricky
Trev. Current :- ?maybe the Duke - but he has a lot to prove
in the above illustrious names. Cher's. Phil Roberts.

Stevens, Van Den Hauwe, Ratcliffe, Watson, Reid, Steven, Heath,
Sharp, Snodin, Harper.
Goalscorers:
Steven (2 pens), Sharp.
I don`t remember
who scored (or much of the match for that matter) but having lost
my brother to the kopites my dad was taking no chances with me.
So without telling me where we were going, we set off for Goodison
Park. Considering I can`t remember much of the actual match. I
just remember it being one of the greatest days of my life. Watching
Kevin Ratcliffe lift the Leauge trophy. What an experiance. I
remember asking my dad if we could come and see them win the trophy
again next season (I'm still waiting for it 15 years on!!!!).
But that hooked me for life. (and im sorry but it kills me to
see my beloved Everton in the state they are in at the moment).

4-1 Ipswich 31st December, 1994. Atten: 25,667.

Southall, Jackson, Burrows, Unsworth, Watson, Horne,
Parkinson, Ebbrell, Hinchcliffe, Ferguson, Rideout.
Goalscorers: Ferguson,
Rideout 2, Watson.
Ipswich: Forrest, Yallop, Vaughan, Wark , Linighan,
Mason Slater, Palmer, Sedgley, Thomsen, Kiwomya, Guentchev
I was 7 Years Old at the Time and I can honestly say it was one
of the greatest moments of my life so far. Steve Sedgley struck
for Ipswich first but Big Dunc equilised 12 minutes later. It was
1-1 then untill 20 Minutes from time Paul Rideout notched his first,
4 Minutes later his second. Dave Watson's last minute goal just
topped a great day for me and all involved! After that match i'd
never seen us loose untill Man United stuffed us 4-1 in October
1998.

Hinchcliffe, Ratcliffe, Watson, Keown, Warzycha, McDonald, Beardsley,
Cottee, Ebbrell.
Goalscorers: Hinchcliffe (42),
Beardsley (54), Cottee (75)
I was
only 5 and a half years-old when I made my first trip to Goodison
so I can't remember many details about the game. It was in August
1991 and despite it being summer, it was raining. We won 3-0,
I was sitting in the Main Stand with my Dad and Grandad and I
think Beardsley may have scored for us. is it just a coincidence
that Everton's decline coincided with my first match and continuing
support? Keep up the good work with Blue Kipper. Tom Coleman.

Despite being
a blue since the age of 8 I'd never actually been to a home game
and had been limited to sitting in the Leeds end at Elland Road
a couple of times when we played there. I'd been to Goodison as
a boy on a cub scout trip and the tales of Dixie Dean that my Nan
and distant cousins had told finally sank in and I was a blue from
that day on. I suppose the bit of Merseyside blood in me finally
took a hold! I went over with a good mate of mine and his dad who
follow the Mags home and away and had offered me a lift over the
Pennines. The game was uneventful but I was overcome with the atmosphere
in the lower gladwys and couldn't stop smiling. The major talking
point was the rumpours that flooded round the ground at half time
and got progressivley louder outside at full time. The talk was
of Duncan Ferguson signing for Newcastle an unfortunately
for us, at the time, he had but the rest, as they say, is history.
