My first match
was in October 1995 against Tottenham Hotspur at home. I was 13
at the time and even though I had been a blue all my life coming
from a red family I was never allowed to go to Goodison.
Graham "Diamond"
Stuart gaves us the lead after about 10 minutes, and it was a
lead that lasted well into the second half. We looked to be cruising
to a victory, Andrei kanchelskis was having one of many great
games for us but we could'nt find the second killer goal. Then
Spurs came back into the game, and equalised through Chris Armstrong
with what I think was his first ever goal for the them!
Still 1-1 was a decent
score-line, and I remember throughout the match us blue-nose's
chanting "4-1, 4-1" to the Spurs fans, to remind them
of the last game we played against them. Sadly there was no Daniel
Amokachi repeat performance on this Sunday evening, can't even
remember if he played to be honest!
