the transfer will happen. If there are rumours you have heard let Blue

After Motherwell refused an offer of £100,000 to take the tough tackling Jamie on loan until the end of the season, Everton offered a straight £500,000 to buy him, but they got knocked back with this. Motherwell says: "The offer was substantially below our valuation of James McFadden." (30/01/03) Blue

What a signing this fella could be. Leeds look to be favourites to land him but with the problems they are having Everton may sneak in with a loan deal until the summer. His club Atletico Paranense want £4m for him. So Juli what are waiting for, get on the phone to your fellow Brazilian and tell him what a great club he could be joining in Everton. The thing is he may not be going anywhere if his Judy doesn't say yes to his marriage proposal. Fiance Dayane Da Silva said:"He told me he would not leave until I accepted his marriage proposal." It was Sausage who wanted the photo of our Brazilian Ladies on the site again. It was an opportunity we couldn't miss.(16/01/03) Blue

Lee got back to Falkirk to find his manager, Ian McCall had done one to Dundee Utd. He was still cock-a-hoop after his week's trial at Bellefield. Lee says: "The facilities at Everton are incredible. It really is a different world. Their players were great and down to earth. They made me feel welcome and the likes of Davie Weir and Gary Naysmith couldn't do enough for me. Wayne came to training and we did crossing and finishing together. His strike rate was incredible - he missed only about one chance from 50 balls. I've been impressed by his performances on TV but he's even better in the flesh. Tomas Radzinski was another who scored for fun. I hope the things I learned from Rooney and the rest can help me at Falkirk and to get a move. Davie
Moyes pulled me aside at the end and told me I had not looked out of
place and he will be keeping an eye on me. I appreciated his words of
encouragement. He will come to see me at Falkirk and then make up his
mind." (03/02/03) Lee had another great game on Saturday in Falkirk's 4-1 win over Arbroath. Tarten Toffee Davie says: "Lee was unlucky not to score. He had three great efforts, & two of them ended in goals, when the other trialist, Sammy scored from the rebounds. Lee is good in the air, & a tidy player, who can score goals." (21/01/03) Rumours must be rife around the Falkirk training ground this week as Moyesy is on the poach there again. This time it's 19 year old striker Lee Miller, fans favourite Lee chalked up 11 goals in 29 appearances last season and had hit 7 in 18 games this season, he's also been sent off so would be in good company with Our Wayne! After watching his first Premiership at Bolton on Tuesday night Collin reckons he could do a job for the Toffeemen. He said:"'I wish I was on the pitch because I'd be totally confident of making an impression.' His agent Raymond Sparkes thinks that because of the attention that Collin has attracted from other clubs it would be wise for Everton to get him sooner rather than later. Sparkes said:"It was just a wild coincidence that he scored a hat-trick in 30 minutes at the weekend and then went training with Everton this week. But anyone else who wants to see him is going to have to go to Falkirk and have a look. Now Collin's developed his reputation, David Moyes might be forced to act quicker than he might have done." (30/01/03). Sammy scored his 2nd Hat Trick in a week when he scored 3 in the 1st half against Hearts today.Tarten Toffee Davie says: "He turned his man & rifled a shot home for the first. He showed his pace & left the defence for dead for the second, & the third was a deft chip. He starts a weeks trial at Bellfield next week. (25/01/03) Collin
'Sammy' Samual scored a 30 minute Hat Trick on Saturday in Falkirk's 4-1
win against Arbroath, but our Tarten Toffee, Davie reports that he should
have had 5. Falkirk Manager Ian McCall says: ” David Moyes is a pal of mine and I turned down two or three Premiership Clubs, but I know David and I know they will be looked after and I know there will be something in it for Falkirk and that’s why I did it, so we will expect to see someone from Everton on loan”. We wonder who? (21/01/03) Sammy says:
"I was really surprised to hear that Everton were interested and
that can only be good for your confidence. We're
just going down there to do as best as we can and see what it is like
to play in a higher league. We're going down after the game against Hearts
and it's a great opportunity for me." Blue

This lad with the name nobody can pronounce, & some web sites can't spell correctly. (pot, kettle, black), is at Everton for a trial. Currently at Marseilles, the Polish World Cup midfielder has 68 caps. He was one of the few Polish players, who came out of the World Cup with any credit. The 30-year-old looks more like a Walter Smith signing, but Moyesy wants to get numbers in to bolster his small squad. (10/01/03) Signed on loan for Birmingham. Blue

Everton
& Stirling Albion have finally agreed a £50,000 transfer fee
for Iain. Albion
Chairman Peter McKenzie says: "£50,000 for Iain represents
a good deal." Iain is set to become an Everton player this weekend, providing he comes through his medical. He did well in his week's trial, & with Everton's goalkeeping injury crisis, he is set to battle with Simmo, & Wrighty in the future. With Gerrard & Bardsen surplus to requirements. Stirling
manager Allan Moore confirmed: "We are going to have put Chris
Reid in goal because Turner is down at Everton. He is having a medical
right now and so I'm expecting Chris to have to play against Stranraer
in the Scottish Cup on Saturday." (03/01/03) Stirling Albion's 18 year old goalie will spend a the best part of a week with Everton on trial. He has impressed everyone north of the border . His coach Allan Moore said:" We will be lucky to hang onto him and I have no doubt he'll be a Scotland keeper one day" Iain has been a regular in the Scotland U15's & U16's. With just one more day before the transfer window closes Everton may have to wait until the summer before they try and get Healy. The Toffeemen offered £150,000 a couple of weeks ago, but Celtic want close to £300,000. The Toffeemen will not be increasing the offer so the balls in Celtics court. Moyesy said:“We’d still be interested in bringing Colin Healy to Goodison. We made an offer and Celtic know what it is.” (30/01/03) His agent Mel Stein says "Celtic and Everton are quite close to a deal. But they haven't reached an agreement yet. I have no idea when it is likely to be concluded because I have no control over it so it's now just between the two clubs. If they do come to an agreement then Colin will be an Everton player before the transfer window closes if they don't he won't. I'm not sure a move away from Celtic is a good move at all because Celtic are such a massive club. But if you are going to go anywhere then Everton is a good move for any player." (09/01/03) Everytime Moyesy says something, everyone sits up & takes notice. The reverse seems true with Everton chief executive Michael Dunford. Apparently Everton have made a bid, & are in talks with Celtic regarding the possible transfer of Colin to us. Dunford says:
"It is still unclear whether he will arrive in the transfer window
or wait until the end of the season." Well if he doesn't know. Who
does? (09/01/03) Moyesy thinks Healy has got more of a chance coming to us at the end of the season rather than January. Moyesy said: "Colin is a player we are interested in, but I have seen reports saying we are about to pay £300,000 for his services which is completely incorrect. I have had one telephone conversation with his agent and that is it." (18/12/02) Celtic's Irish International midfield player wants to leave his club, & Moyesy could be in with a shout, come the January transfer window. Moyesy says: "We’ve had people at games looking at a number of players and Colin Healy is one of them,” Colin says: "I knocked back the contract offer simply because I'm not getting enough first team football. I'm in the Irish squad now, and I also played a lot of games at Coventry last season, so it's obviously been frustrating to come back to Celtic and find myself sitting in the stands most weeks. That's something I've had to get used to over the last few years, so there would be no point in me signing another three-year deal just to do the same. I'm disappointed, but I understand that there are a lot of good players here at Celtic. I'm just looking forward to moving on now, and I'm excited about what might happen. I've seen a few clubs linked with me in the papers, but you never know whether those stories are true or not. (22/11/02) Blue

Albion Rovers keeper, Scott will train at Bellfield this week, under the supervision of Everton Goalkeeper coach, Chris Woods. Glasgow born Scott has been in fine form this season. He saved a penalty on Saturday, which helped Albion go top of the Scottish 3rd division. Just as we thought, after donning the Everton t-shirt for the press on arrival at Bellefield last week, Moreno has failed to convince Moyesy and has been shown the door. This really was an odd one, alright he was an Italian international (11 games) but it was against the Boss's youth or younger policy, the bloke is regularly suspended as he is an animal on the pitch and also not as fast as he used to be AND he has declared his intention to retire in June 2003! How bizarre!! (02/09/02) This is a whoppa! Fiorentina & former Italian full back Torricelli is to have a trial at Bellefield this week. Moreno, to his mates has been shown the door by Portsmouth for asking for to much Cadbury's. The 32-year-old Former Juventus star is looking for a club after Fiorentina told him they were skint. With the transfer deadline this Friday 30th August 2002, Moyesy will have to work fast. With all his signings being young lads, it will be a surprise if he signs, Torricelli, especially with Tony Hibbert starting so well, & Steve Watson nearly back to full fitness. Lard
impressed Moyesy with his
display on Saturday, but Moyesy says " If we had more
cash available, I would take Lard on board, but his demands of 15,000
free tickets for all the Blue Kipper fans is a bit over the top."
Moyesy is to give a trial to the Blue Kipper FC captain. Apparently he has been watched by scouts at various venues, including the 6-0 thrashing of Toffeeweb. Lard stood out, but he's not that fat. He did a great job playing at Widnes. He won't travel to Anderlecht & will stay behind to train with his new team mates ready for Unsey's Testimonial on Saturday. Moyesy says: " Be there at 1.00pm. Don't be late. The kick - off is 1.30pm " Lard says: It's a great opportunity & honour to be playing with these famous names, but maybe they may become my friends, & I can take them for a pint in the Valley" (06/08/02) Blue

Kony again played for just over a half in the Dunfirmline win, but moyesy is still working behind the scenes to get a loan deal, as the budget is spent. Moyesy says: “We are just working on things at the moment. We are having a look at them and obviously I won’t be revealing any decision until I have made my own mind up.” (29/07/02) Kony played the full game against Queens Park tonight. Although the opposition wasn't the best, he looked good on the ball, & combined well with Harry Hill for Rooney to score. (23/07/02) Now have we got the right bloke on trial here? The Official Everton site says we have a player call Loumboutis? This Kon man is 23 and plays for Aris (APHS) in the Greek league and in 1995 became the youngest player in Greek history (and that goes back a long way - bum bum) to play in their Premier League at the age of 16. Perhaps he could give The Roon some tips on how to handle the pressure. Konstantinos will accompany the squad on the Scottish tour and search for haggis kebabs (Jesting? Not at all, the chef at Bellefield is reported to have gone ape shit recently after his new 2002/03 menu was cancelled following new arrivals) (22/07/02)

Nuff Said has signed from Cairo-based Al Ahly until the end of the season, but he won't be an Everton player until he gets clearance from the authorities. He should be available for the Spurs game. (02/01/03) It looks defo that Enough will be coming next week, with the possibility of more to come. Moyesy
said: "We hope Ibrahim will be the first of several new players
who are going to come in during January."(29/12/02) Moyesy is keen to
bring in 'Enough' to Goodison in January. He never had enough dough when
he was on trial last time, but has been trying to sort out a deal. 'Enough' came on for the last 30 minutes against Dunfirmline, & looked good. Reading between the lines, we think Moyesy would like to have him, but the old budget is spent. So Everton will have to ship someone out or get him on a loan deal. (29/07/02) Ibrahim made his 1st appearance in an Everton shirt today when he played the full game in the 6-0 win at Hampden Park. He will stay with the squad for the other 2 Scottish games, before Moyesy makes his mind up. (23/07/02) This fella sounds
like a nutter. A defender, who has been a hit at his Egyptian club, Al
Ahly. He nearly joined Boro last year, but his International commitments
put told to that. Nicknamed 'Hima' he has a habit of scoring several goals
while joining the attack. His quick temper and crazy behaviour has been
a major problem. He dyes his hair with a different colour for every match.
If he joins us, he won't dye his a certain colour. He was 100,000 Egyptian
Pounds, for not keeping to camp rules during the African Nations Cup in
Mali. He was sent back to Egypt without playing a single match. Al Ahly
say they have received a $2 million offer, but Everton want to give him
a trial. Blue

This fella had a top World Cup and is now being linked with a move to the Premiership from Auxerre. But don't get too excited, David Moyes really rates him but the Cadburys could be the problem. What a superb signing. Richard Wright has agreed to become a Toffeeman. A very big well done to Moyesy and the boys for getting their man. I'm excited now. This is the one we have been waiting for. He has signed for £3.5m with an extra mil for apperances. Moyesy was chuffed as well. He said:. “I think it is a great signing, and one we have been looking for. I believe Richard will become a future England goalkeeper, he has already been involved in the set-up and I think with him playing regularly for Everton that will push his claims." “I hope the supporters feel that we are moving in the right direction. It has been a long struggle getting in a goalkeeper, but I really do feel in Richard Wright, and at the price we have got him, that it is beneficial for us." Good Luck Dicky. (24/07/02) Wrighty
had a medical at Bellefield, this morning. He will make a final decision
tomorrow. These agents make you laugh. Wrighty's agent, Jonathan Barnett denied all knowledge last week. (See below). Today as the deal looks to be nearing its end, he says: “Richard was Everton’s number one choice. These things take a long time and Richard had to make up his mind that he wanted to leave Arsenal. Now we want to keep progressing as quickly as possible and get the deal done." Bit of a change. Jon. Everton hope to tie up the details soon, so he can catch up with the lads in Scotland. (22/07/02) A week
ago, this was a dead deal, but now it looks a goer. Blue Bill has been
in touch with his good mate, David Dean. it looks very optomistic. Blue
Bill says: “I can confirm that we are at an advanced stage of negotiations
with Arsenal Football Club for the transfer of Richard Wright.”
(22/07/02) Despite what Wright's agent has said, we understand that David Moyes has again met with Richard Wright and if they can agree terms then he will be an Everton player in the next 48 hours. Wright on, at last a decent keeper! (21/07/02) Wright'
agents Jonathan Barnett has made it clear that Richard is going nowhere.
He said: "It's complete rubbish. He's an Arsenal player. They have
never had any official offers from Everton and he's very happy at Arsenal
at the moment." (11/07/02) After being fobbed off by Derby over Poom not once but twice, David Moyes has contacted Arsenal over the availability of Richard Wright. Would be a top signing if we could get him. But we think David is just messing around with Derby to see if it will force them into releasing Poom. We will found out soon enough Moysey

that I don't want to say any more."(10/07/02) Blue

32. Juliano Lopes de Almeida Rodrigo Rodrigo
can't wait to start the season. Moyesy was a big feature in him coming
here. M'Juli
was having a medical today before signing a 12 month loan deal from
Botafogo, he scored 11 goals last season from wide on the left of midfield
and he comes highly recommended by none other than one of the great
1970 Brazil World Cup winning team, Jairzinho. Rodrigo played his 1st game for Everton in the friendly against Shrewsbury. Wearing the number 23 shirt, he showed some lovely touches. He's all left foot. He looked cool on the ball. Never panicked, & never gave the ball away. He wasn't scared to have a dig. Juli is to stay for a while longer, so Moyesy can see him in a competitive game. Everton officials are working hard to get him the International clearance, he needs to play. (19/07/02) This
chappie may only cost £1m. His contract is owned by his father,
who bought out his son's deal at Botafogo. David Moyes is eager to have
another look at him. Juli to his mates has joined Everton on trial. He will stay with the Blues for a couple of weeks. Our spy says 1st impressions are good. He's fast, very skillful& can score a goal. His Brazilian club, Botofoga, are in a worse financial state than us, so they need to sell. Moyesy is not to be rushed & will make his mind up when he has had a good luck at him. (10/09/02) Blue

OK. The x-ray he had has reavealed no serious damage. David Moyes said:"
The X-ray proved negative and we are hoping it is not too bad. He missed
training today and depending on how serious it is we may get him involved
in one of the games over the weekend period.”(24/07/02) Joey got his 1st taste of action for the Blues when he started against Queens Park, but it only lasted for 27mins, as he came off with an ankle injury. Welcome to Everton Joe. (23/07/02) Joe got his work permit through in double quick time. He is now an official Toffee. (15/07/02) Joe,
Joe, Joe Yobo! Yes, Joey Yobo is Moysey's first signing. He agreed personal
terms today and somehow we coughed up £5m to secure his services. Joey
and David have spoken about today's signing: Moyesy
said :“As far as I’m concerned, he’s Nigeria’s best player and I’m sure
he’ll go on to captain his country,” Michael Dunford wanted to let us know that everything is being done to secure the signing of Joey. He said:" He is a much sought after commodity, but we are working hard to make sure we are successful." (08/07/02) Joey is to see Juventus officials early this week. He will then choose between Everton & Juve. Result known this week. Joey, the choice is yours. (08/07/02) This Yobo fella spent the week-end on Merseyside to discuss personal terms with Everton. The Toffees have agreed a £5m deal with Marseille and we expect Joey to sign early next week. (07/07/02) Moyesy
hopes to sign Nigerian World Cup star, Joseph Yobo. Joey played centre
half against England, & kept the diving little shit in his arse
pocket. He played in all 3 games in the Far East, & now has 18 caps.
Not bad for a 21 year old. We have rivals for his signature with Juventus.

The
rumours are rife. Being talked up by the National media today, the ex-redshite
self proclaimed Guv'nor wants a move back to the North West and because
of our recent silver surfer policy they are linking him with the mighty
Blues. Ince left Boro today, saying he didn't want to stay in the North East, but move to a club near his home in Merseyside. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! (02/07/02) Paul Ince, the self styled governor, was at Goodison today. Moyesy must have taken some of Walter's old management pills. The ones that say, buy an old, injury prone has been. Moysey has got rid of Blomqvist, & Ginola. He says he will go with youth. We don't want a fancy dan cockney spiv, who thinks he was a good footballer. 28. Brian McBride Moyesy
is keen on bringing in Macca, as we need a big striker, as Super Kev,
Nick Chadwick, & Big Dunc are all injured. The 30 year old could
come on a loan deal for 3 months, as his Club, Columbus Crew don't start
until April 2003 in MLS in USA. This now looks as if it could be a goer. Brian McBride clearly wants to play for us and is putting pressure on Major League Soccer officials who do not want him to leave as he was one of the stars of their 'successful' World Cup campaign. There could be further complications in the deal as Joe-Max who could be part of the package is currently injured.(09/07/02) Brian wants to come to Everton, but his contract is held by the USA Confederation of Football Kickers, or something, & they are playing hard ball. McBride: "If a player decides he wants to go or stay, I would hope the league would want people to be happy. That's the only way you are going to get a good player, if he is happy. Every player needs to make his own decision." (03/07/02) David Moyes knows all about this fella. He had him for two months at Preston before he returned home with a blood clot in his arm. Breen wanted more money than we could afford, so that was that. As Moyesy said he's only decent. (04/05/02) Everton may have no new players for the season after we hear that Newcastle have now entered the race for Gary Breen. A spokeman for Breens agent said:Newcastle's interest is quite clear. The situation is ongoing and we will have to wait and see what happens." Gary
is having more talks with Everton this week and a decision is expected
soon.(01/07/02) Ian Ross Evertons Head of Corporate Affairs and Public Relations has suggested that the talks have gone very well with Gary and the Club. He said:"We held initial talks with Gary Breen earlier this week and believe they went very well. "We know there is considerable interest in this player from other clubs but we remain cautiously optimistic." (28/06/02) An uncomfirmed report from a Blue Kipper Spy in the camp, said that Gary was at Goodison, yesterday. He was spotted being shown around the ground by Moyesy & Alan Irvine. Expect a decision later on this week or early next week. Moyesy says: "I can say we’ve had talks with Gary Breen since he’s come back with the Republic team. He’s available on a Bosman, which makes him a good target for us, because he is a decent player and one that’s available for no cost, so that’s a possibility also." (27/06/02) The central defender, now 28, has been a star for the Irish team in the World Cup, scoring in the last game. He refused a new contract at Coventry, & Everton are one of 5 clubs looking at the centre half. Blue

Everton have joined a host of Premier teams on the trail of the Irish World Cup Star. The big problem is that we're skint & can't pay cash, so Moyesy has offered some cash plus player. Ipswich manager George Burley was reported to have said ' We want to get out the Nationwide, not stay in it' Matt says: "I must clarify the [transfer] situation by stating that all my thoughts at present concern the World Cup. When this tournament is over, hopefully not for another couple of weeks, I will consider next season but until I do, everything else is unsubstantiated rumour".

we've
signed one Chinese player, & then a couple of hours later we sign
another. Moyesy got his way , & he will sign a 1 year loan deal, when
he gets a permit. A press conference has been called for 8.30 a.m. Wednesday, 17th July 2002. It is hoped that the sponsorship deal with Chinese Electronics firm Kejian will finally be announced, & Li Tie will be part of this 1 year deal. (16/07/02) Li Tie is expected at Goodison this week from Liaoning Bird as part of the sponsorship deal with Chinese Electronics firm Kejian.(10/07/02) If you
think this bloke looks like a tart, think again. He has mended his ways
and was Player of the Season in the C League last year, the season before
he was banned for 5 matches for throwing the head in! Blue

Li was
shocked beyond belief that he has signed for the Toffees. He wasn't the
only one David Moyes didn't know anything about it either. Everton presented us with Li in China today. He joins on a one year loan deal. This was a suprise, as most sources thought it would be his mate Li, Moysey obviously got his order wrong or else he had a Chinaman in mind and 10 minutes later fancied another! He will arrive when his work permit gets sorted but with the season only 4 weeks away he'd better make it snappy!!(17/07/02) With Moyesy saying the Chinese & Korean players were good enough to play in the premiership, we've heard on the grapevine that 24 year old Chinese International Li Wei Feng could be a target. He is strong in the air and scored three goals during 12 World Cup qualifying appearances. Quick across the ground, he is also a good organiser of his fellow defenders. He has 50 Caps scoring 8 goals..(05/07/02) Blue

Delron is part of the South African World Cup Squad. He is 24 years old, & a winger. Mainly a left winger, but has played a number of games on the right flank. He has 32 caops, scoring 6 goals. He plays for VfL Bochum in the German league. His agent Rob Moore says: "Everton have watched Delron & they, along with other clubs will be watching him in the World Cup. With Moysey just getting rid of a winger will he want another one? Blue

With
nothing happening for a few days. The deal looks dead. Poom has spoken for the 1st time of his desire to stay in the premiership. Marty says: "Derby's valuation is too much in the current market situation. Everton have made a very good offer and Derby are no longer a Premiership club, though of course they have the right to ask for that much money. The parties are quite a way apart and the moment it doesn't look like I'm going to be leaving Derby, though you can never say never. I am very flattered by Everton's interest and like every other player I want to play in the Premiership. John Gregory has told me that I am very much part of his plans and that he wants me to stay, even though every player has his price." (17/07/02) Will the Poom saga end? We now have his former club Flora Tallinn saying they will take a cut in a sell on fee from Derby County only if it means Mart Poom can stay in the Premiership. Are yer having that or what? The Clubs President Aivar Pohlak said:"Derby County's estimated price for Poom is £6million, out of which Derby would get £4.9million and Flora £1.1 million. To help Mart Poom to return to Premier League, we are ready to give up that £1.1million if Everton compensates us for £400,000." Even with this offer we still fall short of £6m that Prick from Derby wants.(16/07/02) Cockney Spiv Gregory obviously doesn't want to sell Poom, He said today: "Without question, we have to sell a player within the next six weeks but I will not be pressured into selling Mart Poom. I consider him to be an execeptionally good goalkeeper. I know this club is in debut but it does not mean somebody can come in and steal our players. Everton’s offers for the player fall well short of our valuation. I will not sell him for the kind of money Everton are talking. The chairman has also said he will not sell Poom for less than we think he is worth. A fair price for Mart Poom? £6m at least ... if not more." Everton must decide if they can up the cash, or look elsewhere.(13/07/02) We look as though we are going to give it one more go to get Poom. Moyesy said today: "We are still talking and we are still negotiating. We hope some progress can be made in that direction. I'd like to build a young team here at Everton but we could do with more experience in goal. Mart Poom would give us experience. We have made what I consider a fair offer for Poom but I will not pay over the maximum figure I have in mind for him.We have got one of the targets we wanted now in Joseph Yobo. Hopefully we will also get a keeper plus one or two others. There is a lot going on but these deals do not happen overnight."(11/07/02)
Everton have increased their offer to Derby to £4m for the sevices of Mart Poom. We hope that Derby accept the Cadburys and that Poom will become an Everton player next week.(07/07/02) David Moyes wants to make Poooooom his 1st signing. Moyesy says: "As everybody knows we’ve made a bid for Mart Poom at Derby, which at present has been turned down and we’re assessing that situation just now. So we have been working hard." Give him the extra loot, Bill. Take it from the record Season Ticket sales. (27/06/02) Here we go again! The offer is apparently now up to £3m with no player exchange involved (that's a pity, Gerrard would have jumped at the chance - and missed) and the decision is now up to the player who is waiting to see if there are any other interested parties. We are in with a chance though, rumour has it that when the Estonian was checking out Merseyside he was very interested when he found out that he would not be the only Mart, as we have Marts. at Great Homer St. & St John's - we are now favourites! (18/06/02) It looks like Derby have rejected anything we had to offer for Mart Poom. The latest offer was believed to be £2m plus five players. Why have we only got £5m to spend and Man City have just spent £13m on one frog.(25/05/02) If we can get this fella he will be the one. He will cost us £4m. But Derby may be interested in some players plus cash. One thing for sure is that Gregory will not let him go without a fight. This what Gregory had to say:"I would fight tooth and nail to hang on to him because I believe any successful side always needs an outstanding goalkeeper. You don't see many championship winning sides that have a duff goalkeeper. It's very important that I do whatever I can to hang on to Mart." Blue

Derby County could be letting some of their established strs leave the club and Darryl Powell comes into that catogory. The Jamaica international has had a few contract problems with Derby of late and now could be the time for him to move. Cozy will cost £1m. Is he better than what we already have? Blue
