Players IN (The Rumour Mill)          Fishy out - 2004          EXCLUSIVE - NEW SIGNINGS

99. Youri Djorkaeff

Another wrap on the knuckles for one of us. The transfer could go through now because he is a free agent.(09/09/04)

This is a strange one this. He wasn't taken on by Bolton and he is looking for a Premiership club in January. Even though he is 37 next March he is a class act. Wonder why big Sam didn't keep him on? Maybe a pay as you go jobby.

Blue Kipper says

Youri Djorkaeff

98. Benni McCarthy

Last season was McCarthy's best ever as he top-scored in the Portuguese league and, more importantly, helped Porto to clinch the prestigious Uefa Champions League.

But he has also always nurtured a dream of playing in the English Premier League. While at Celta Vigo of Spain, moves to both Middlesbrough and Aston Villa were scuppered at the last minute. So imagine McCarthy's delight this week when it emerged that, due to the imminent departure of Wayne Rooney for Manchester United, Everton were looking to sign him.

Benni says: "Sometimes I wish I was not Benni McCarthy. The deal was done, I had agreed everything with Everton. I was expecting to go to the Democratic Republic of Congo (for Bafana's 2006 World Cup qualifier on Sunday) buzzing, thinking about going to play in Liverpool."

McCarthy was even supposed to go to the British Embassy in Pretoria on Tuesday to finalise his work permit before the evening's transfer deadline. Then, at the last minute, lightning struck in the same way for a third time for him. According to the striker, Porto president Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa decided he did not want to let his No 77 go.Porto have also just splashed out a reported $15,7-million on Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano, which must surely leave McCarthy's chances of regular first-team starts hanging in the balance.

Benni says:"If you pay that much money, you expect the player to play." (02/09/04)
Thanks to bluekipper.com reporter, Tom Duncan.

Benni is due to sign for Everton before today's deadline. (31/08/04)

97. John Ukata

Our friend Bushman has told us that talks are at an advanced stage to bring Ukata to Everton. A flying right winger and a good friend of Joey Yobo's could be a last minute deal on Tuesday morning.

Blue Kipper says

John Ukata

96. Martin Rowlands

Now Moyesy has a few bob to spend, we may move for QPR midfielder Martin Rowlands. The fee would be about £750,000. The Irish under 21 International moved from Brentford to QPR in the Summer. (29/08/04)

Blue Kipper says

95.James Beattie

With Moyesy having four months to plot his move in the transfer market, James Beattie we are told is heading his list of signings when the window re-opens in January. Everton who made a last minute offer of £7m, for the Southampton front man, where not willing to meet Rupert Lowe's valuation for the England striker, which was £8m. With time running out, Moyesy pulled out of the deal, and will wait for the January sales before making his move, with his newly found nest egg. (03/09/04)

James Beattie is attracting the attention of Moyesy, as we go in search of a replacement for Rooney. James who is known to his mates as James, is said to be keen to move back up north, after all the shenanigans at The Dell this Summer. So if Moyesy is cash rich from the sale of Rooney, Mr. Lowe at Saints may be getting a call. (28/08/04)

Blue Kipper says

James Beattie

94.John O'Shea

We are led to believe that Moyesy has asked Man U for John O'Shea as part of the deal with Rooney. Man U will win the fight to get Rooney but Moyesy is going all out to get the Irish star. (28/08/04)

Blue Kipper says

John O'Shea

93. Steve Finnan

We don't like putting stuff about the shite on bluekipper.com, so we will get rid of them once the tranfer widow closes. That is if they don't come true. But Finny would be a player we Moyesy could be interested in, but the price may be the problem. (22/08/04)

Blue Kipper says

Steve Finnan

92. Djimi Traore

Everton have agreed £1.5m fee with the shite for Djimi. This will be a good signing like all of the players we get from the shite. He will become a great player. Remember how good looking Peter Beardsley became when he put on the blue shirt.

David Moyes says:"We've agreed a fee with Liverpool of £1.5 million to bring Djimi Traore to the club. At the moment we're just waiting for clearance that everything's done and hopefully he'll have a medical later." (27/08/04)

Jimmy wants to stay in the City, so he fancies a move to us. The only problem is the boardroom suits, who are still fannying about trying to get some cash.

Djimi says:"I am very keen on a move to Everton. I want to be playing regularly and I don't want to be in the same situation as last season when I was in and out of the side. I want to play as the left-sided centre back and if that is not at Liverpool maybe I will have to move on. A move to Everton would suit me as I love the city of Liverpool and I am settled there." (24/08/04)

We think we are going to sign someone from the shite. Our spy is adamant it is Jimmy (to his mates). He will sign on Monday (22/08/04)

Blue Kipper says

91. Jon Otsemobor

We hear on the grapevine from our man in the know that Jon Otsemobor is a likely signing for the Toffeemen from the shite early next week. Yer never know. (22/08/04)

Blue Kipper says

Jon Otsemobor

90. Matias Almeyda

Everton are rumoured to be preparing a bid for Argentinian midfield International Matias Almeyda. Matias or, Matty to his mates has just left Inter, after his contract expired and returned to his homeland to play for Independiente. His contract however was cancelled after his family received kidnapping threats, and he was not prepared to play on in those circumstances. He is said to favour playing for Everton as he would like to get to know Big Dunc, who is rumoured to have said he will help him out with his problem in his homeland. Also our sources at Goodison have told us that 'Sandro Pistone is not happy with our interest in Matty, as have you seen him, he's gorgeous.

Matty says: "I apologise to everyone but I won't play in Argentina. I'm sorry for Independiente but a person can't train if he fears for himself and his family. Now, I hope a European club will want me." (21/08/04)

Blue Kipper says

89. Andy Van Der Meyde

Andy's agent doesn't know anything about Everton's interest but he says yer never know.

Chiel Dekker says: "I have received several calls about it from the media, but I haven't received any official offers. Internazionale have not told me about anything, so I am not aware of any offers, not yet anyway.

"I'm sure Andy would like to play in the Premiership one day." "(20/08/04)

Inter midfielder may be a target for Everton. The former Ajax star could come on a one year loan deal. Andy (to his mates) only played 14 games for Inter last season, scoring 1 goal. (19/08/04)

Blue Kipper says

88. Milan Dudic

Moyesy is tracking Serbia and Montenegro international defender Milan Dudic. No don't worry, he is no relation to the shite's keeper, who loves letting goals in at his near post, but a Serbian centre half. Dudic's club Crvena Zvezda, have confirmed that Everton have been in touch over the Serbian centre half. Moyesy had watched Dudic in action in Belgrade last Wednesday during Crvena Zvezda's 3-2 Champions League victory over PSV Eindhoven. Moyesy also travelled to Ljubljana on Wednesday to view Dudic during his country's international friendly against Slovenia. In a long winded statement, a spokesman for the club confirmed that the Blues had been in touch.

A Crvena Zvezda Spokeseman says: "We have had contact from Everton" (19/08/04)

Blue Kipper says

87. Jurgen Colin

The deal with Colin has been called off. He joined in the training session in this morning, but his agent and Everton officials couldn't agree a deal due to an unspecified hitch. Another frustrating episode on the transfer front.

David Moyes says:"At the present time the deal is off."(13/08/04)

The PSV Endoven defender is to discuss terms for a possible year long loan period on Friday. If all goes well and he signs before noon on Friday, then he may go straight into the squad to play against the gooners on Sunday.

Georgie (to his mates) is only 23 and favours the right back position, but has played in the centre of defence as well as wide right. He had a spell on loan at Dutch side NAC.

Blue Kipper says

86. Gerardo Torrado

This fella is on the scene again. Moyesy is interested in a possible loan deal for the season. See below what was said August 2003. (12/08/04)

Sevilla's Mexican 2002 World Cup Star (skin head, who scored a whoopa against Ecuador) is due to train with Everton for a few days next week according to his agent. Ged (to his mates) is 24-years-old and played 22 times for Sevilla last season.

Torrado's agent Olaf Bonales says: "There is interest from Everton, who want to acquire the player for a one-year loan with an option to buy him. Everton have invited the player to go on a three-day trial to Liverpool. They are familiar with his ability but they want to meet the player prior to signing him. The economic offer is good for everybody, as Everton would pay 200,000 euros (£138,000) for a one-year loan."

Torrado says: "I'm willing to play there. I want to prove myself and that's a good place to do it."
It remains to be seen if it happens. (22/08/03)

Blue Kipper says

85. Giourkas Seitaridis

Blue Kipper's man in Amsterdam, Keno the clog, has reported that Panathiniakos, who played in the tournament at Ajax, that Gerry (to his mates) has agreed to sign for Everton. The 23 year old right back / midfielder played in Greek Euro 2004 side.He had a great tournie. Panathiniakos rejected offers from Porto, Valencia and Monaco before accepting Everton's bid. Obviously those teams never had the ready cash. We did, but it had the word 'monopoly' on every note. He will play in the olympics before joining Everton.

Blue Kipper says

84. Marco Di Vaio

Juventus striker Marco (to his mates) , 28 is understood to be interested in a move to the premiership due to a lack of first team action in serie A.

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Some Spanish Club

83. Marlon Harewood

With Redrov signing for the Hammers, Marlon may be on his way out. He would relish the chance to get in the Premiership. (27/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

82. Peter Lovenkrands

Lovie (to his mates) may be about to join us from Glasgow Rangers as a replacement for the little fella, who missed loads of sitters. With the arrival of Dado Prso from Monaco, Lovie is pushed out. The Blues may have a bit of leverage with the money still owed to us for the sale of Michael Ball. £2m price tag though. (27/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

81. Christian Gimenez

Everton are supposed to be interested in signing Jimmy (to his mates) from fc Basle as he is looking for a move away from the Swiss league and into the premiership. The striker, who has played in the Champions league and scored against Manure, is valued at around £1.5 million. (27/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

80. Mark van Bommel

Everton could be making a fresh bid for Dutch midfielder Mark van Bommel. Reports indicate that Moyesy watched van Bommel in Tuesdays Champions League match at Highbury. Moyesy also took in My Fair Lady in the West End, and said it was an absolute classic. (16/09/04)

Van Bommel doesn't want to join the Toffees. The Dutch midfielder told the Dutch press that he wants a larger club and that Everton are smaller than his present club PSV. (27/07/04)

Moyesy has confirmed his interest in the Dutch midfielder. It is believed a figure of around £2.5m would be enough to secure the PSV's players signature. Everton are believed to be looking at a fifty eight year repayment schedule.

Moyesy says: "We are chasing one or two players at the moment and he is one of several players we would like to bring to Goodison." (25/07/04)

News has it that Bill Kenwright flew out to Holland this morning to see PSV chappies to try and sign Mark van Bommel. That would be a signing.(23/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

Mark van Bommelv

79. Rivaldo

Our Brazilian spy has informed us that the former World player of the year and Barcelona reject will be in the North West looking for a move to the premiership this weekend. Everton will be the first club he will contact now that Bolton have seen their arse with him. Honest! (18/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Olympiarkidiososi or somthin

78. Dave McGoldrick

Bad news! For just £200,000 Dave signed for Southampton. It is a very sad day, as this lad will be a star and we thought Everton could have signed him, but due to this inept board we are totally skint. (11/08/04)

Played a full 90 minutes for Everton Reserves yesterday at Southport and looks a great prospect. Only 16 years old, he was knocked about by some of the arl arse players in the Southport team, but came back for more. Has some lovely touches. Scored a header. We hope we can solve our cash problems and sign this lad on. He's not a Wayne Rooney, but he isn't far off being ready for the 1st team. (18/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed for Southampton

77. Johnny Ecker

Johnny (to his mates) is surplus to requirements at Marresaille and his agent is touting him about the Premiership clubs. That rules us out then. (18/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

76. José Karl Pierre Fanfan

Joe (to his mates) is a defender at PSG. He is 29 years old and wants to secure a move to the premiership. Played for Monaco and Lens before moving to PSG on loan. (18/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

75. Papa Sarr

Moyesy was at Celtic to have a look at Dad last night. (11/08/04)

Dad (to his mates) has been the engine room of Senegal since he joined the national side. Started his career with Saint Etienne then moved onto Lens. Now 26 years of age would like to get into the Premiership. (16/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

74. Traianos Dellas

The Greek centre back is rumoured to want play in the premiership. He was a star at the Euro 2004, where he showed his talent for good defending and classy distribution. The 28 year old only played 6 times for Roma last season. Hard to believe he was on Sheffield United's books a few seasons ago.

Dellas' agent Stefano Antonelli said: "We have had many offers including Tottenham, Everton and Porto." So it's Spurs or Porto then. (16/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

73. Eirik Bakke

Says he wants to stay with Leeds, but their financial troubles may dictate that he moves on. Famous for getting himself all tangled up and falling on his arse when The Duke scored that goal at Leeds a few seasons ago. Happy Days. (15/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

72. Eddy Bosnar

Moyesy is taking a chance on Eddy Bosnar. the Sturm Graz defender who played recently for the Blues on their tour in Austria. Moyesy however is only bringing the twenty four year old in as cover, and has warned fans not to expect to see him much in the first team. Bosnar at present has no work permit, but Everton believe they can swing something through an uncle's brother, father in law, who lived next door to Eddie's Auntie in Australia.

Moyesy says: "We are going to try and get him. He doesn't qualify for a work permit but there is a situation where you can qualify for a working permit if you come from Australia. We are going to bring him in for a year and because we are very short of players he will give me some added cover. But I have to let people know it is not a signing who will go into the first team. He has a lot of potential, he did well with us, though we didn't see a great deal of him but he'll come in, play for the reserves and we’ll see how it goes from there." (27/07/04)

Eddy played the full 90 minutes for Everton in there opening friendly game at FK Zeleznik. He looked a 'steady eddie' in the defence. He came forward to hit a powerful free kick from 30 yards out, but it went wide. (16/07/04)

Sturm Graz's centre half Eddy Bosnar, has joined up with the Everton squad at their Austrian training camp. Moyesy is running the rule over the player who is available on a free.

Alan Irvine says: "This is an opportunity for us to have a look at the player. He is still contracted to Sturm Graz but we have been given permission to look at him. He is a big tall centre half and a bit ahead of our lads in terms of his fitness because Sturm Graz returned to training earlier than us." (13/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed for just a year for Everton

71. Theo Zagorakis

Everton are believed to have joined the chase for Euro 2004's Player of the Tournament Theo Zagorakis. Theo who has had a spell in England with Leicester in the late 1990's, is attracting attention from a host of clubs across Europe. Theo's agent Kimon Kokorogiannis, Kim to his mates says that things will happen next week when his contract ends at AEK Athens.

Kim says: "We have many offers from different countries which is natural because he is the player of Euro 2004. Theo is looking for the best team and the best offer. He will make a very careful choice. He believes that he can play well at all the teams. Now he can't sign anything. No pre-contracts or contracts, nothing at all because he is still a player of AEK. We will have news about his decision next week, maybe on Tuesday." (09/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed for some Serie A side

70. Brahim Hemdani

More rumours that Brad may be in talks with Everton. (20/07/04)

Brad (to his mates), was part of Marseille's European bid last season. Can play right full back, right midfield or a holding central midfield role. The 26 year old has been capped by the French at U21 level.
Moyesy says: "Hemdani is a player we have interest in." (08/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

69. Zizis Vryzas

Fiorentina's Zizis Vryzas is after a move to the Premiership. He's hoping his performances for Greece in Euro 2004 will be enough to secure a move. Everton are amongst the clubs thought to be interested. (04/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

68. Angelos Charisteas

The 24 year old forward scored the only goal in the Euro 2004 final tonight, putting a couple of million on his price tag and Everton out of the running, assuming we were in there in the first place. (04/07/04)

The Marty Feldman look-a-like, can't get in the Werder Bremen side in Germany, so he's available. He's done ok for Greece at Euro 2004, scoring 2 goals in the tournie. He wants to play in the Premiership. (01/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

67. Lomano Lua Lua

With the signing of James Milner, Newcastle are willing to let go the centre forward. Portsmouth are hoping to sort out a full time move for him, but Everton are thought to be in with a shout. (04/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed for Portsmouth

66. Thomas Helveg

Veteran Inter and Denmark defender Thomas Helveg, is the latest player to be linked with a move to the Blues. Tommy Grav's International team mate, is on the brink of leaving Italian giants Inter Milan, and apparently Moyesy is in a queue of managers waiting to sell their club to him.The Grav has assured him if he comes to the Blues, he will be speaking like a true Scouser within a fortnight.

Tommy Helveg says: "I will not continue. In a couple of weeks, it will be decided what I will do in the future. I have not talked with my agent yet but, after all, I have only got three more days remaining on my Inter contract. To end my career elsewhere could be a new challenge." (29/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Norwich

65. Seyi Olofinjana

George (to his mates, honest) is a Nigerian International midfield player, currently trying to wangle a move to Monaco, but he's not happy with the terms offered. So his agent is saying that Premiership clubs, including Everton are interested, but he may go to Wolves. Yes We know! (28/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

64. Danny Murphy

The prick's just signed for Charlton.(10/08/04)

After Spurs and the shite agreeing a £3m fee, the deal as fell through because it was thought that Danny was insisting on a regular place. Everton and Charlton are expecting to go for him.

A Spurs chappie says:"We have now withdrawn from these negotiations following a meeting with the player. We acknowledge that a guaranteed first team place was a deciding factor in his decision and wish him well." (10/08/04)

Rumours flying around Merseyside that the redshite midfielder is not fancied by their new manager and they have to sell to get the new players he wants. Murphy wants to stay in the area so hence the rumour. (26/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Charlton

63. Marek Heinz

The Czech Republics Marek Heinz is apparently catching the eye of Everton's Davey Moyes. Heinz who has been used as a sub in this Summers tournament, has come on and found the onion bag twice. He is now plying his trade back in his homeland for Banik Ostrava, after an unsuccessful spell at Germany's Hamburg. (24/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

62. Charles-Edouard Coridon

Moyesy was at Celtic to watch him play as a trialist for the home side in a 2-0 friendly win against Spurs. Named after the 80's combo, Charles & Eddie, the Lens midfield player is available for about £1.5m Charlie (to his mates) is in the last season of his contract with the French side. The possible move depends on whether, Martin O'Neil wants to pay out the cash on a 31 year old Martinique international. If not he maybe Everton bound.

Charlie says: "If Celtic decide not to take me then I have the opportunity to play in the English Premier League, but my first priority is to play for Celtic." (12/08/04)

The 31 year old midfield player is surplus to requirements at Lens. Charlie (to his mates) has been at the club for 5 years. (23/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

61. Phillipe Christanval

Marseille central defender, Phil (to his mates) has said he wants to try his look in the Premiership, so Everton are supposed to be interested. Phil has played for Monaco and Barcelona in the Champions League and is only 26 years old. He has always been on the fringes of the National team, but never quite made it. (23/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

60. Marcus Bent

Marcus Bent today put pen to paper and became Everton's first signing of the Summer. Bent has cost £450,000 from Ipswich, and Moyesy is delighted with his capture. Moyesy insisted though that this signing was not cover for any potential departure of our wonderkid.

Moyesy says: "As far as I'm concerned Marcus' signing is the first of many that I think that are needed. My intention is to bring in several more players, and I am just waiting to be given the go ahead by Trevor Birch. But I can categorically state wea re not interested in selling Wayne Rooney. " (23/06/04)

It looks highly likely that Moyesy will make his first signing of the Summer, with the capture of Marcus Bent for just under half a million big ones from Ipswich. Bent who has been on a season long loan at recently relegated Leicester, has been allowed to leave the Tractor Boys, by ex Everton manager Joe Royle. Bent it is believed, will return to Bellefield today, to dot the I's, and cross the T's on his new Everton contract.

Everton Old Boy Big Joe Says: "All three clubs have asked about Marcus and Everton and Portsmouth have both made bids in the region of £450,000. We have accepted the offers and it's now down to Marcus to decide where he wants to go." (23/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Everton

59. Carlton Cole

Big Carlton was spotted outside the shrine today, no doubt meeting Davey Moyes, who has returned to work after his Summer break. No doubt the Rooney effect will start taking effect, with players hopefully clambering to join the Blues, well that's my take on it. (22/06/04)

The big 6' 3" striker was on loan at Charlton from Chelsea last season. Due to the new manager at Chelsea, there is a chance of him coming on a season loan to us. Still only 20 years old. Played and scored in the Premiership last season.

Blue Kipper says

Signed for Villa on a years loan

58. Jermaine Wright

Big Joe has had a phone call from David Moyes regarding Jamma.

Joe says: "I spoke to David Moyes, the Everton manager, on the phone and he told me he would like to sign Jamma. But David also made it clear that the deal is not as far advanced as I had been led to believe. It seems there is still a lot of negotiating to be done."(11/06/04)

Jamma is looking for Premiership footy and with him out of contract we would get him on a free. Southampton are also in the running.

Big Joe Royle says: The odds are that Jamma (Wright) will be moving on. He is coveted by both Everton and Leeds.

"It is now up to him to decide and, while he has until the 28th of the month, I have spoken to his agent and both he and Jamma agree that I need to know what is happening as soon as possible. It would be good to know before the end of the week what his plans are. We could perhaps replace him from within the squad, but ideally I would like to bring someone in." (09/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed for Leeds

Jamma Wright

57. Mathieu Flamini

Matty is the latest to be linked with the Toffeemen. The midfielder had a great season for Marseille and their sports director Pape Diouf has among other things mentioned Everton's name.

Diouf says:"It is an economical controversy. It is out of the question to overpay a young player. If Everton proposed him €70,000, he should go. Moreover, he will not get any guarantee to be a first team member. I explained to him that he took Fabio Celestini's place but there could also be a Flamini for him."(09/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Arsenal

56. Igor Tudor

Honest! That's his name. Another defender from the Juventus sale. Igor is a Crotian defender and only 26 years old. (04/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

55. Martin Keown

Former Everton defender, Martin is looking for a club. What better than to go back to the club, who sold you so you could go on to win league championships, cups and England caps. The the face that stopped a thousand spades is too old. (04/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Leicester

54. Mark IIuliano

Juve have a new manager and he's trying to get rid of the old arses. This is were we come in. In Italy they still think we do the Walter Smith method. Although Mark is an Italian International defender, we don't think he'll end up here. (04/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

53. Robbie Savage

After a Summer of will he won't he, and then he signed a new deal at Brum, more Lily Savage rumours to Goodison have re surfaced. According to Steve Bruce, Lily will definetely be going nowhere, and he laughed off the rumours about a proposed move to the Toffee's. He laughed that loud, that he pissed his pants, reports indicate.

Steve Bruce says: "That won't happen, of that I'm absolutely positive. " (18/08/04)

As a famous commentator once said, ' They think it's all over, it is now.' At last he's signed, no not for us but again for Birmingham for another four years. Lily this afternoon put all the speculation about his proposed move to the Blues to bed by agreeing to a new Brum contract. Back to the drawing board as they say.

Lily says of his New Contract: "It was agreed eight weeks ago. I'm a man of my word. I never wanted to leave Birmingham. I've had a good chat with the gaffer and I'm delighted it's agreed and I'll sign it on Friday. Because I've kept quiet for some reason or not, it's never been signed and it's been brought to a head. It's best for both parties that it has because it dragged on for some time and, hopefully, that'll be the end of the matter.

It's not my fault other teams wanted to sign me. I'm a Birmingham City player, I've had some of the best years of my career here, and I'm delighted it's the end of the matter now. It'll be signed on Friday. I'm delighted as I bought a new house in the Birmingham area in the summer." (14/07/04)

After Steve Bruce laid into Everton and their derisory offer, Brum Chairman David Gold has also thrown his two penneth in. He claims the club is being hypocritical in its way it is conducting its dealings with Birmingham. Bleating as he calls it, over the Rooney affair, and announcing on their own website that an offer had been made for Lily. He may have a point, was the offer announced to appease the fans, we certainly think so. C' mon Everton do things right, you can't have it both ways.

David Sullivan says: "This is the same club that has been bleating to the world about Wayne Rooney being tapped up. We are absolutely appalled Everton saw fit to publicly announce on their own website they had made a bid for one of our players. It is a classic case of double standards. We have half of a mind to start making public bids for some of their players and see how they like it.

They wanted the money paid over the next three years, with £500,000 geared to them still being in the Premiership in the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons. That means that if they were relegated during that time we would not get the full amount. It's a joke, derisory and pathetic. Robbie's not really for sale, but we would at least consider an offer of £3.5m.'' (14/07/04)

We were not too far out with the payment spread over 46 years, it is payment over 4 years, but they don't get anything if we get relegated during 2007 and 2008. Can you cope with that. Birmingham have given it to us big style over the offer. The only thing that has come out of this banter between the clubs is that Birmingham have taken their offer to Savage off the table.

Birmingham spokesman says:"Birmingham City Football Club can confirm that they received an offer earlier today from Everton for our player Robbie Savage. The offer, of which only £1 million is an immediate down payment, would mean that we would have to wait until 2008 for the remainder of the fee. Additionally that would be with the proviso that Everton are in still in the Premier League in 2007 and 2008, and overall the total offer falls well short of our valuation of the player.

"Steve Bruce was quite right to tell Everton to put up or shut up. On one hand they are moaning about speculation and contact from other clubs regarding their player Wayne Rooney, but by the same token it appears as though they are acting in exactly the same manner regarding Robbie Savage. The entire board of Birmingham City Football Club has become very bored with the 'Everton for Savage' story, and frankly the offer they made is laughable. Birmingham City's managing director Karren Brady has told Everton in no uncertain terms of our Club's valuation of the player and they have 24 hours to make up their minds. Regardless of the outcome of Everton's interest, the board of Birmingham City Football Club is reviewing its position with regards to offering Robbie Savage a new contract."

Steve Bruce says:It is the first written offer we have had, it is derisory - they know what we are asking, we don't want to lose him but they know our price. As far as I am concerned I shook hands with Robbie six to eight weeks ago, I said to him wait until we come back and we will start the contract in July and now we feel badly let down.

"Everyone has their price and value, at least it is out in the open - but I repeat there is no way he will leave for these sort of figures.Of course he is important - that is why I have offered him a three year contract, but they have to meet our valuation. To take an offer from Everton, spread until 2008 - that is not right and also to make it public, there is no need for that. We have done everything we can, we have offered him a contract - but the situation has changed." (13/07/04)

At last an official bid has been made for Lily, but no amount as yet has been made public. All Everton are saying is that it is a substanial bid. No doubt payments will be spread over 46 years, but hey it's a start.

Ian 'Rossy' Ross : "I can confirm that we have, this morning, lodged a bid with Birmingham City for Robbie Savage. We are now awaiting a formal response." (13/07/04)

Birmingham Boss Steve Bruce has warned Everton, that if they want to land Robbie Savage, thay better start seeing the colour of their money. Rumours have persisted for ages over Moyesy's admiration of Lily, and it is unsettling the Brum boss. With a huge influx of new faces at St. Andrews, and Lily not yet signing an extension to his contract, it won't be long before we feel Moyesy will move for the narky little midfielder.

Brum Boss Steve Bruce says: "I'm bored to death by these stories. Everton should put up or shut up because we've not had a single offer from them." (13/07/04)

This rumour will not go away. It seems that the long haired one is not happy that Emile and Muzzy have come in on better wages than him.

Steve Bruce says:"I don't want to lose Robbie Savage, but everybody has their price."(10/07/04)

Moyesy's pursuit of Robbie Savage has took a turn in his direction with the news that Birmingham have signed Leicester midfielder Muzzy Izzet. News coming out of St. Andrews is that all is not well with 'Lily', and the contract extension that he has been offered. It appears that Emily Heskey has come into the squad on a kings ransom, and boyhood Blue, Savage is chomping at the bit to join Everton. Moyesy it seems will have to up his bid of £2.5m, to tempt Steve Bruce to part with his industrious midfielder. (03/06/04)

52. Paul Dickov

David Moyes confirms his interest in Paul Dickov

Moyes says:"There will be players coming in because we are very short both in quantity and quality. Dickov is just one of a number of players we are speaking to." (26/05/04)

Paul Dickov is the latest name to be thrown into the ring of Everton targets. The cat was let out of the bag by Pompey boss Harry Redknapp, who is tracking the forward himself. Dickov is due at Goodison later in the week. Aswell as Pompey, he will also be calling in at Blackburn on the way, no doubt waiting to move to the highest bidder. C'mon Moyesy surely we can do better than him

Pompey Boss Harry Redknapp says: ''I've spoken to him but that's as far as it's gone. He's got a couple of clubs interested, and I know Everton are one of them. But he's a good player. He got 13 goals for a struggling side last season.'' (26/05/04)

51. Craig Moore

One thing is for sure, and that is Rangers captain Craig Moore is definetely leaving the club. Moyesy who has expressed an interest in the Australlian player in the past, will be alerted to the defenders availability.

Rangers Boss Alex McLeish says: "Both Craig and I have jointly agreed that the interests of Rangers FC are the priority and therefore he will relinquish the captaincy. The club will now make Craig available for transfer at the correct fee." (09/07/04)

Austrailian International and Glasgow Rangers skipper, Craig is to have talks with Everton. The defender is 28 years of age. (25/05/04)

50. Daniel van Buyten

The Marseille centre-half would cost about £3m - £4m. Played a hand full of games for Man City on loan, but didn't impress Keegan. (24/05/04)

49. Darren Purse

Started well for Birmingham, when he signed from Orient a couple of seasons ago. Was a favourite with the crowd with his uncompromising up and at him play, but has now slipped down the pecking order with the signings of Kenny Cunningham and Matthew Upson last season. Steve Bruce would be willing to listen to offers for the centre half.

Darren says: "I have got no problems with Steve Bruce. But from my point of view I can't afford to spend another season being fourth choice. I have two years left on my contract and I have a good relationship with the fans and the manager. If I thought I was going to play on a regular basis the I would happily stay. But I don't think I will." (24/05/04)

48. Alan Smith

Alan Smith was a real possibility according to David Moyes.

Moyes says: "We have tried to bring Alan Smith here, and people can say what they like about that bid, but I wouldn't have gone for him without thinking we had a proper chance of signing him." (26/05/04)

After a day of disbelief over Moyesy's offer of £7m for Smithy, it looks like it was all in vain. The Leeds Striker has made it clear that he would rather join Man Ure, for an estimated £8m, than travel to Merseyside and join the Blues. Can't really get my head around why he would rather join a team in the Champions League, in this weekends Cup Final, and no doubt will be challenging for next season's Premiership. Nevertheless, Moyesy is not giving up hope, and if we have cash at our disposal, Moyesy biggest task will be persuading future transfer targets that Everton are a club on the up, and not perennial relegation candidates.

Moyesy says: "My hope is to partner Alan Smith and Wayne Rooney in my Everton team next season." (21/05/04)

Blue Bill says: "David and I have been discussing Alan Smith's situation at Leeds for two weeks. I can confirm that in the last 24 hours we have had contact with those involved in the hope that Alan Smith might be an Everton player next season." (21/05/04)

Bluekipper.com have it on good authority, that the Blues are to table a bid in the region of £7 million, for Alan Smith of Leeds. I am not taking the piss, it is not April 1st, but it could be Christmas come early. Even if Smivvy, refuses to come to another struggling outfit, the question we are all asking is who the fuck has stumped up £7 million big ones. Has Blue Bill done a bank job or something. Anyway you heard it here first. (20/05/04)

Striker who is like shit off a shovel. Has scored loads of goals in the lower divisions for Cardiff and scored a few for Wales. Remember he gave Gary Naysmith the runaround in the Wales 4-0 win against Scotland. Rob(to his mates) scored a hat-trick. Untried in the top division, but must be better than our lot. (19/05/04)

45. Jermaine Pennant

Now back at Arsenal after his long spell at Leeds has come to an end. Looks a class player in a bad side with Leeds. Young fast and can provide and score goals. He would add to the bluekipper Look-A-Likes section, as a ringer for Lionel Ritchie. A similar loan deal would suit Everton, but will it suit the gooners. Come on Bill sort it out with your mate David Dean. He owes you one after The Jeffers Saga. (19/05/04)

44. Michael Carrick

Carrick's agent has been in talks with Spurs, who now look favorites to sign him. West Ham pulled him out of a reserve game last night thinking the deal was done, but there is still some work to do. (19/08/04)

West Ham have told Carrick to sort himself out this week and West Brom have ruled themselves out of signing him. It looks like us or Portsmouth.

West ham boss Pardew says: "We still have a number of clubs interested in Michael and he has a choice of what he wants to do. Ultimately he wants away and I need a team here that is going to put everything into the result and the performance."

West Brom boss Gary Megson says:"I've spoken to his agent and was told he didn't fancy joining us." (17/08/04)

With Kenwright coming up trumps with the cash, Carrick could well sign for Everton next week. He has spoken to 3 clubs, but is thought to want to link up with Wayne Rooney at Everton. Clever lad. (15/08/04)

West Brom are now in talks with Carrick, but Everton are still sniffing around.

David Moyes says:"There is still an interest in him, but not at the valuation West Ham have for him."(13/08/04)

Arsenal have pulled out of the race, he now looks certain to join Portsmouth or can you believe West Brom.(10/08/04)

We seem to be out of the running, it looks like Portsmouth are very close unless Arsenal come in with a late bid.

Pompey Chairman Milan Mandaric says:"We do have an agreement finally with West Ham. Satisfying their needs financially. But I hear of lot of commotion that Arsenal are leaving messages that they would be interested so I don't know what the hell is going on. It makes me unhappy with the situation. Arsenal are a massive club, not many players would resist not to go there."(06/08/04)

Everton have put a bid, at least £2.5m, on the table for Carrick, it is believed to be higher than Portsmouth's bid. Crystal Palce are also in the frame. If Michael himself has got to choose who to play for surely we're in with a chance.

West Ham boss says:"There is a bid on the table which is higher than Portsmouth's valuation. There are more than two clubs involved now.(05/08/04)

Everton may put in a late bid for Michael Carrick. A signing like this would give everyone at the club a major boost.

David Moyes says: Michael Carrick is one player we would certainly be interested in if we had the money to buy him. But that's been a problem for a while now."(04/08/04)

Blue Kipper says

40. Bryan Hughes

Evertonian Bryan would love to come and play at Goodison Park. Not a prolific scorer. 20 goals in 148 games. 5 goals in 20 games last season. 28 next month. Maybe a bit old in the tooth for Moyesy, but with Emiley signing for the brum, he maybe available. (18/05/04)

39. Mikael Forsell

Now back at Chelsea. Great scoring record. Career 43 goals from 94 starts. Alot of those goals coming from the bench. He will be shipped out for another season long loan period. Lets hope he comes to us. Apparently likes a beer or two. (18/05/04)

38. Shota Arveladze

Rangers are believed to be ready to offload the 31 year old striker. The Georgian International has scored 15 goals in 45 games for his country. He has always scored goals at Ajax and Rangers. The last 3 seasons in Scotland he has netted 15, 12, & 11. Has been a talent, but age may put Moyesy off. (06/05/04)

37. Muzzy Izzett

Now that Leicester are down, Muzzy is the type of player who will be leaving.

He is an established International. Izzett is a midfielder who supports the front players and scores goals.

Apparently Muzzy is out of contract in June, so will cost zip all. The good thing is that his wages shouldn't be a problem, as we have the money paid to the likes of Gemmill & Alexandersson available. (03/05/04)

Blue Kipper says

36. Derek Riordan

The Hibs striker/midfielder may be available to Moyesy in the Summer. Deggsey (to his mates) scored his 18th goal of the season on Saturday.

With boss Bobby Williamson leaving Hibs for Plymouth recently, the club are still to appoint a manager and maybe ready to cash in on Riordan.

Riordan is only 21 and is the type of energetic young player Moyesy is after. (03/05/04)

Blue Kipper says

35. Aliou Cisse

Rumour's are flying around that Moyesy could make a bid for Ali(to his mates) in the summer. The Birmingham midfielder is frustrated at Birmingham with lack of first team games and has issued a "come and get me plea" to all Premiership clubs.

He said he wants to leave Birmingham but stay in England. Apparently he could go as little as £750,000 half of what Birmingham paid for him.

Ali, who is a bit of a hot head, would be a decent midfield signing for Moyes, he's captain of Senegal national team, and Moyes could partner him with Thomas Gravesen. (03/05/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Portsmouth

34. Joe Cole

Joe see his future with Chelsea. This will upset Moyesy who was hoping he could get Joe on a one season loan.

Joe Cole says: "I really want to make it work at Chelsea. They are a club who are really going places and I really want to be a part of that. There looks as though there could be a new manager in place and I want to be given a chance at both club and international level." (01/06/04)

According to a usually reliable source, Joe was seen at Goodison Park on Monday. (19/05/04)

Rumour has it that Joe is unhappy at not been given a chance to play regular football at Chelsea, and has been moved down the pecking order with the arrival of Scott Parker.

A season long loan deal is the only possibility of Everton getting him, but it may not be as far fetched as it seems, especially if Cole doesn't make the England squad this Summer.

Joe may fancy passing the ball to his England team mate, The Duke every week. (03/05/04)

33. Mohamed Kallon

Inter star striker Moe(to his mates) is once again available after his ban for failing a drugs test ended. Sampdoria, Fiorentina, Palmero are all interested Italy and Everton have been mentioned.

Kallon tested positive for nandrolone and was handed an 8 month ban, which was later cut to 6 months on appeal, meaning the Striker is once more available for Inter.

But Moe will be on the bench with Adriano and Vieri first choice. (03/05/04)

31. Maurice Ross

The Glasgow Rangers right back. A young player of 22 has 12 Scottish caps to his name already. Has recently moved down the pecking order at Ibrox. In our price range at £300,000.
Rangers boss Alex McLeish says: "We have had other players linked with moves too, but there is nothing concrete in any of them. Until people make formal approaches, we have to treat it as speculation." (29/04/04)

30. Mark Viduka

With Leeds looking increasingly likely to be playing their football next season in the Nationwide, it looks certain that their fans will be saying bye, bye to some of their top stars. Coldhino (whoever you are), is hearing rumours that Aussie heavyweight Mark Viduka is heading towards Goodison this Summer. Lets hope his info is good.!!!!!

I'm sorry if this is a load of bollocks, but We've heard rumours that Everton are looking into signing Viduka from Leeds in the Summer.

Not sure how effective this will be as he is a pain in the arse and Moyes ain't exactly the most tolerant of managers but Campbell and Ferguson are on the way out. Apparently we've said we are willing to give £5m for him and Viduka is willing to take a pay cut. (30/04/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Boro £4m

29. Michael Ball

Bally's name has popped up again. Moyesy has a few bob to spend before Tuesday. Bally isn't in the Rangers team. (29/08/04)

Bally has been put on the transfer list at Rangers. This may mean we never get the cash owed from the original deal. (08/07/04)

Rangers need to reduce their wage bill. Sounds familiar! Apparently Rangers have asked Everton if they would have him back. There are a few things for and against a possible move before the bluekipper.com player of the season for 2001 would come back.

For:
Former Everton star is his agent(see Against). Top drawer player when fit. Bally would love to come back to Everton. Fit and 1st choice for Rangers. Moyesy needs to sign defenders. Still only 24. Moyesy could use Unsey to go to Rangers in a swop deal to reduce the price. He's an Evertonian.

Against: Former Everton star is his agent(see For). His wages are sky high. Would he take a big reduction in wages. Jeffers mark 2 waiting to happen! Still some doubt over his injured knee. Never go back! (30/04/04)

28. Jay Jay Ococha

Jay- Jay has no intention of moving to Everton in the summer because Bolton are better than The Toffeemen in his opinion.

Okocha says: “I cannot leave Bolton for Everton who have not done better than us. It would not be nice to leave for Everton but I am not aware of the deal”. (29/04/04)

Jay-Jay Okocha to Goodison on a free transfer next season. Sounds good. The creative midfielder that we are after. Rumour has it that Everton have already spoken to Jay-Jay's representatives. Okocha could be interested in joining Everton because of our very own Joey Yobo. But is he the young energetic player that Moyesy is trying to bring in? No but he is class. Celtic also are known to have an interest in him. (28/04/04)

27. Danny Szetela

Danny Szetela has signed with the Major league Soccer in U.S.A. The 17-year-old from New Jersey has decided to stay home. Szetela will find out the name of his new team on 22 July 2004 due to the way the Americans run their league. The official statement says: "His destination will be determined by via a weighted lottery since the SuperDraft has already taken place this year." Whatever that means!

Danny says: "Becoming a professional soccer player is what I've dreamed about since I started playing the sport as a kid, and I'd like to thank MLS for giving me the opportunity to stay in the U.S. to play. I chose the MLS because I think playing at home gives me the best chance to prove myself and I look forward to starting my career and making an immediate impact." (17/07/04)

Danny has had second thoughts about coming to England. Currently in Korea, where the US U-20s are going to play in the Busan Four Nations Tournament.
Danny says: 'In Europe, I have to be 18 years old to sign a professional contract, and I don't want to sign a youth contract so it's probably best to stay in MLS for a few years.' (19/06/04)

American wonder kid Danny Szetela, has agreed to sign for Everton, when he returns from a South American Tournament with America's Under 17's. It is believed that Danny's love of 70's Cabaret act The Grumbleweeds, swung his decision to sign for The Blues above other Premiership contenders. Ray Hall, Everton's Academy Director, was part of the said group until he gave it all up to work with the Blues youngsters. It is believed though that Ray still does the odd turn with his old Cabaret partners.

Danny says: "I probably will sign with Everton when I get back from Argentina."

John Ellinger USA's Under 17's Coach says: "Danny possesses the whole package. Speed, strength, tough tackles, pinpoint passes, great field vision and instincts." (24/05/04)

Danny jetted into Merseyside for a whistle stop tour of Everton's facilities. Danny who has flown over with his mum, has decided on meeting The Blues first, as he makes a decision on which club to join. Man City, Spurs and Inter Milan are also in for Danny, but the Blues seem at the moment to be his preferred choice. (29/04/04)

Everton are leading the hunt, for American super kid, Danny Szetela. Man Ure, Spurs, and Arsenal are also monitoring the progress of the seventeen year old, who recently starred for the United States in the World Youth Championships. Canny Moyesy though is a step ahead of the other clubs in the chase, by offering Danny a contract, due to start in the Summer. (20/04/04)

26. Tim Cahill

Tim's A Toffee

Oh my God, there may be a snag over his personal terms. I can't cope with this anymore.(23/07/04)

Everton have signed Tim Cahill today for £2m on a 4 year deal. Some good news at last.

David Moyes says: "We are delighted that Tim Cahill has agreed to joined us. He has proved himself as one of the best players in the First Division and we hope to give him an opportunity to prove it in the Premiership" (22/07/04)

Millwall have entered into a war of words with Everton target Tim Cahill's agent. Tim is insisting that he did not want to leave The Lions, but a Millwall spokesman is insisting that Everton and Villa have spoken to Tim's representatives. Once again agents you just love them don't you.

A Millwall Spokesman says: " Tim's agents themselves have spoken to Millwall chairman Theo Paphitis on numerous occasions indicating that their client wanted to leave. They also confirmed that they had spoken to two other clubs, namely Everton and Aston Villa, about the possibility of a move for Tim." (15/07/04)

Tim's deal has fell through with Crystal Palace over a payment to his agent. So we may still be in with a shout.

Simon Jordon CP's Chairman says: ""I object to paying that for roughly half-an-hour's work when our fans are paying good money to come through the turnstiles. We offered the player a decent Premiership salary and he seemed very keen to join us.The agent then asked for five per cent on top, which equated to A£125,000. I told him he doesn't work for me but for the player and to take the money out of his wages."

Agent Sam Rush says"The terms of the deal did not appeal to the player."(10/07/04)

Some enquirey that was Moyesy. Millwall have accepted a £2m bid from newly promoted Crystal Palace. While all the Premiership clubs are signing players, we have let go over half a dozen players and signed just Marcus Bent. (08/07/04)

Moyesy could be ready to pounce for Tim.
Moyesy says: "He is one of a number of players we have made an enquiry for" (07/07/04)

Moyesy was at the recent FA Cup replay at Tranmere, where Tiny (to his mates) played in Millwall's win. Aussie Tim has scored a 5 goals from midfield this season. Over the last 3 seasons he's scored 13, 9, & 11. He never seems to get injured. He is 25 years old and seems to have half a brain, as he turned down the chance to play for Scotland, choosing his native Australia instead. (18/04/04)

25. Pablo Ibanez

Everton are known to be tracking the progress of Albacete's defender Pablo Ibanez. With no resolution in Unsey's contract wrangle, and with Davey Weir not getting any younger, Moyesy is known to be keen on adding a good young stopper to his ranks. The Spanish Under 21 International is said to fit Moyesy's bill.

Pablo says: "I don't know anything more than the fact he was here, and nobody spoke to me. But I am delighted that I have been linked with one of the English league's most historic clubs. Everything depends on the club because I have a contract with them. I don't want to go mad about these rumours between now and the end of the season. (22/03/04)

23. Leigh Mills

Swindon Town's promising defender Leigh Mills is Goodison bound, in a deal that will see Sean O'Hanlon make his move to Swindon permanent. Mill's is on his way to Goodison to tie up terms on his contract.

Swindon's Chief Exec says: "Leigh Mills is a player of tremendous potential and we would not like to stand in his way of joining such a big Premiership side. We have received a very good offer from Everton, which we have accepted. Swindon Town are keen to bring Sean O'Hanlon to the County Ground and it would make sense for the the two deals to be tied together, and that is what the two clubs will be working on over the next few days." (26/02/04)

22. Dominic Matteo

As told to you earlier this year, Matteo is interesting Everton. The big problem is his massive wages. Leeds want to sell him to lower their wage bill.
Moyesy says: "He's one of a number of players we are interested in. We are keeping an eye on his situation."
(15/06/04)

Bluekipper.com have it on good authority that ex-shite player and now Leeds player is Goodison bound in the Summer. If Leeds go down, then Dom (to his mates) wants to stay in the Premiership. (14/02/04)

20.Dimitri Bulykin

Dimi (to his mates) scored in Russia's 2-1 win over Greece today at Euro 04. He scored a diving header, and should have scored a second, but headed wide. (20/06/04)

David Moyes is in Portugal running his eyes over a few players. He didn't see much of Dimi during Russia's defeat by Spain, he played as a lone striker and spent most of the game closing down defenders.

Moyesy says: "It was a difficult match to assess him in because Russia were not very ambitious."(15/06/04)

Moyesy was present in Oslo, last night to cast an eye over long term transfer target Dimitri Bulykin. The Russian International, who plays for Dynamo Moscow is gaining enough caps to capture a move to the Premiership from next season. With his involvement in Euro 2004, the Russian striker will then qualify for a work permit, and Moyesy is making sure his homework is done, and he is at the front of the queue to capture his signature. A reported fee of £1.5 million is what it seems Dmitri is available for. (29/04/04)

After a bit of pondering Moyesy said:"He is here until the middle of next week for us to have a look at him. He does not have enough caps just yet to qualify for a work permit. But by the time the summer comes round, and the Euro 2004 finals, he will certainly have played enough." (26/01/04)

Dynamo Moscow claim their Russian international striker Dmitri Bulykin is holding talks with Everton .Everton not being deterred after Victor Onopko refused to come to Goodison, are said to be pondering a move for the Russian striker. Bluekipper.com tried their best to gain a quote off Moyesy, but a club official said he was too busy, as he was pondering. (24/01/04)

19. Tomasz Hajto

Everton could sign Schalke 04 defender Tomasz Hajto. The Polish captain, who is 31 years old is seen as an ideal replacement for Joey Yobo, when he goes to The African Nations Cup.
Tomasz, who is a long throw specialist as over 40 caps says: "I have had three offers from big clubs but the most concrete one is from Everton boss David Moyes. I am considering the move but Everton have not been that strong and have big games coming up. I am going to see how they get on against Arsenal on Wednesday. You have to keep raising your standards and try your luck elsewhere. There is nowhere better than England."

18. Danijel Ljuboja

Danny (to his mates) plays for Strasbourg. The 25-year-old striker is set to leave his club in the January transfer window with PSG & Everton interested. Strasbourg want to cash in, which would seem to rule out us. Everton liked what they saw after looking at his teammate, Christian Bassila. (01/01/04)

Blue Kipper says

17. Stephen Wright

Things seem to be hotting up. Don't be surprised if Wrighty ends up at Goodison. (01/07/04)

The 21 year old scouser is thought to be homesick in Sunderland & the Everton supporter would jump at the chance of playing at Goodison Park. But a full back is not a priority for Moyesy. (01/01/04)

Blue Kipper says

16. Andy Reid

Regarded as having the best left foot in the 1st Division, Andy has scored 10 goals for Notts Forest from midfield. He has been subject to a £2.5m bid from Spurs, which manager Paul Hart turned down. They want around £4m, which rules us out. (01/01/04)

Blue Kipper says

15. Christian Bassila

It's a funny old game. The panto season is upon so we shouldn't be surprised that one day we want him & the next day we don't.

Moyesy says: "We are not interested in Bassila at all" (19/12/03)

Strasbourg midfielder Christy (to his mates) has been touted around by his agent, Willie McKay to make a return to the Premiership with Everton. He has scored 3 goals this season. Sounds a world beater compared to our goal shy midfielder's. Wato excluded. All Christy needs is a piece of string so his glasses don't fall off. Willie says: "We have spoken before about a move to Everton, but nothing came of it. There has been more interest and he would love the chance to play in England again. He had a small stint in England before with West Ham, but it proved to be a disaster because of injuries and personal problems. He is a big friend of Freddie Kanoute and he would jump at the chance to try his luck in England again. He is a lot stronger physically and mentally and he is the captain of his club. He has done the business for Strasbourg at venues such as Lyon, Marseille and PSG, showing he can perform at the highest level and he feels he could do it in England."

Moyesy says: "Christian is one of a number of players we are looking at currently." (17/12/03)

14.Nicky Butt

The Toffeemen have made an official enquiry for Nicky Butt. The Everton boss is hopeful but a January sale would be doubtful.

Moyesy said: "We have made an enquiry about Nicky. I'm always on the lookout for good players. Hopefully he'll want to come to Everton but I'm not sure whether it will happen this month." (26/01/04)

Moyesy distanced himself from any talk linking Nicky Butt and a move to Goodison. It is rumoured that Everton asked if the proposed five million fee, could be spread over 37 years. Man United are allegedly told the Blues to go away and stop pestering them.

Moyesy says : "Nicky Butt is a very good player but we will not be doing anything. We don't envisage there being any transfers either in or out of Goodison during the transfer window." (15/01/04)

Moyesy dismissed all rumours linking Man Utd's Nicky Butt with a transfer to Goodison. A player of Butt's quality would be fantastic in our midfield, and in fairness he knows he would probably have a battle on his hand to claim a place in our star studded set up.

Moyesy says: "If you’re linking me with Nicky Butt, then that’s very nice. He’s a good player and I’d be more than happy to have him and I’m sorry to dismiss what you say, but I know nothing about it. I think it’s been well documented that we don’t have the finances to bring any players in, but let’s be fair, it’s not only Everton who are in that situation, there are a big majority of Premier League clubs. I know it doesn’t make good stories, but that is the situation. We don’t have the finances to do any deals." (14/12/03)

13. Victor Onopko

Vic is set to sign for Saturn-REN TV in the Russian Premier Liga.
Vic says:
"I didn't come to an agreement with Everton over some terms concerning my family problems and the contract duration." (22/12/03)

It seems that Viktor may after all be on his way to Goodison. Sources close to the club feel confident that a deal with the Russian skipper will be struck, to tie him on loan till the end of the season. It is understood that Viktor is keen to taste life in the Premiership, and Everton is his favoured club, after Bolton also expressed an interest. It is believed he went back to Russia, as his heating was on the blink, and Mrs Onopko could not relight the pilot. It is rumoured a dodgy thermo couple was to blame. (12/12/03)

Russia's answer to Glen Keeley, waved goodbye to Goodison today, after he decided against staying at the Blues till the end of the season. The Blues would have been able to sign the Russian skipper on loan from January, but it is believed the player found our winter's far too mild, and he decided on returning to his homeland were the freezing temperature is much more to his liking. Weirdo (11/12/03)

Vic (to his mates) arrived at Bellefield today, & is determined to make an impression. The young 34 year old says: "I actually held talks with Bolton in the summer before moving back to Russia short-term. But now I am a free agent and coming to England remains a major ambition. I've always been a huge admirer of the English game." (04/12/03)

Russia's experienced skipper Victor Onopko has been invited by David Moyes to train at Bellefield with the squad. It is believed Moyesy is lining up the Russian international, who has 112 caps, from trilbees to deerstalkers, to replace Joey Yobo when he leaves for the African Nations Cup in January. Moyesy is hoping to bring the Real Oviedo defender in on loan till the end of the season. (04/12/03)

Moyesy says : "The Russian season ends in December. This is a good opportunity to bring Viktor over for a couple of days to look at him. I went to watch him play for Russia against Wales a couple of weeks ago. He is a big strong defender with plenty of experience." (05/12/03)

12. Stephen Pearson

Celtic signed him for £350,000. The ugly spotty kid, who is definitely too gross to join our 1st team photo says: "I have obviously supported them all my life. My heart has always been set on Celtic, so it is a dream move for me." (08/01/04)

Because of Everton's financial constraints, it is still in doubt whether they will move for transfer target, Stephen Pearson, when the window opens in January. A host of clubs are waiting to pounce for the Motherwell midfielder, and boss Terry Butcher is resigned to losing him, but to who ?

Motherwell Boss Terry Butcher says : "There has been no deal done and there is no replacement coming in for him yet. We're looking at replacements, so we'll just have to wait and see. There has been talk and communication, but contrary to what has appeared in quite a few newspapers, nothing has been sorted out as yet. Quite a few clubs have spoken to me about him but there has been no talk of fees or anything like that." (30/12/03)

Everton are thought to be interested in bringing Ste to Goodison Park in January or next Summer. A midfield player noted for his surging runs from the middle of the park, Pearo (to his mates) has scored 8 goals in 2 seasons at Motherwell. He has 6 under 21 caps for Scotland. Celtic ( who he supports), Blackburn & Leicester are also interested. (28/11/03)

11. Allanse N'dour

Everton are reportedly ready to make a move for Senegalese star Allasane N'dour. The 21-year-old, who has played nine times for Senegal, joined West Bromwich in August on loan from French club St Etienne. The defender has appeared just twice for Albion, one of these appearances coming when The Baggies beat Hartlepool United in the Carling Cup, but nevertheless Everton are interested. (26/10/03)

Blue Kipper says

10. Philippe Delaye

A midfield player, who scores goals. Now there's we haven't had for a while. Phil (to his mates), currently plays for Rennes. Before that he played for Montpellier, where 4 seasons ago he scored 9 times in 31 games. Last season he scored 3 in 24 games. He is 27 years old. (22/08/03)

Blue Kipper says

9. James Harper

'Harps' to his mates was Reading's player of the season last season. Playing 30 odd games, scoring 2 goals, but our spies say he was unlucky not to get more. He's not afraid to get forward & support the front men. A bid of £2.5m will secure him, if we fail with the Sean Davis bid. (14/07/03)

Blue Kipper says

8. Dickson Etuhu

Moyesy has denied reports that he is going to sign Dick. Proving he is a genuine Scot.

Mosey said:" There's no truth in that rumour, he is too expensive for us. If I was going to make a move Craig Brown and Derek Shaw would be the first people to know."(04/08/03)

A product of the Man City youth Academy, 'Dick', to his mates was the power in the Preston engine room last season. Only 21. He got his chance under Craig Brown, due to a couple of midfield players leaving. Is a mate of Joey Yobo in the Nigerian camp, although he is eligible to play for England. (14/07/03)

Blue Kipper says

7. Scott Parker

Parker signed a 5 year deal with Charlton with the promise if Everton or anyone came in for him next season, Charlton will let him speak to the club. It also means whoever gets him, would have to buy his contract out. (21/07/03)

After the rejection of the bid for Sean Davis, Moyesy may make a bid for Scott. Moyesy says: "He is a player who we have admired in the past, but I have certainly not made any approach to anyone at Charlton and I wouldn't do that until I had spoken to their manager - and at present I have no intention of that." (09/07/03)

A top class young player, who scores from midfield. Has had an outstanding season. Forced his way into the England squad. Would be on anyone's wish list. Charlton have not bought Matt Holland to replace him though. Only a big bid would get him. Anyone know of a new Jack Walker out there? (23/06/03)

Blue Kipper says

Signed for Chelski

6. Eyal Berkovic

Portsmouth look to be the club for Berkovic. (01/01/04)

Berkovic, today asked for a transfer. (28/07/03)

Now 31. Apparently City will release him. Played for Southampton, West Ham, Celtic, Blackburn, before City. A player who can put a ball through on a sixpence (2.5 new pence for you youngsters), & could score a goal or two. Against that, he can show Saint Michael a thing or two about diving. Also if Keegan doesn't want him, do we? (26/05/03)

Blue Kipper says

Signed for Pompey

5. Michael Brown

Spurs look favourites, with a £500,000 bid. (01/01/04)

Plays in the play-offs today against Wolves. If Sheff Utd win, rumours are he'll sign a new contract. If they loose he could be available. He would cost about £4m. He's Sheffield Utd's leading scorer this season with 20. (26/05/03)

Blue Kipper says

4. Sean Davis

Sean Davis signs for Spurs for £2.5m. There doesn't seem to be any good news for us at the moment.(10/07/04)

Davis has still not signed a new contract with Fulham and with Fulham manager wanting The Rad, there could be some deal involving the two players. (24/05/04)

Davies says: "I'm in talks with Fulham and I hope we can sort something out and put pen to paper." (05/12/03)

Moyesy today raised the stakes in this drama worthy of a soap opera as Sean Davis who has now withdrawn his transfer request from Fulham, as reported last week is still most definetely on Moyesy Christmas shopping list. What Moyesy want he generally gets so watch this space.

Moyesy says: "It has made no difference to our plans, but I can't do anything about it. He's not at my club, so I can't do anything about it.We tried to bring Sean in during the summer time but it didn't materialise.I would have done had it not been for an injury. But we just have to carry on with things now.We have watched all his reserve games to see how's he done as he recovers from his injury. The most important thing is that Sean gets himself back fit. When we wanted to make the transfer, he wouldn't have passed a medical and we didn't want to take that risk with the money we were paying. I hope he does get fit because he's a terrific player and, yes, I would like him here." (10/11/03)

Sean Davis today withdrew his transfer request, as he believes he can achieve all his ambitions at Fulham, the club he has been with since he was sixteen. If he is happy playing for a club, with no home and who rents their playing area of a second division club, well hey thats ambition.

Fulham boss Chris Coleman says: "I have spoken at length with Sean and I am convinced that he will give me and the squad 100% commitment. He is eager to sign an extension on his contract with us to prove his loyalty to the Club and to the fans. I am now looking forward to seeing a continuation of the hard work and dedication from the player which, knowing Sean, I am sure I will get." (07/11/03)

Sean Davis says: "During the time I have been recovering from my injury I have had the opportunity to discuss my future with the manager. He has made it clear to me that not only does he see me as an important part of his plans but I also believe the club can move forward. I think that because I had been here for a long time, I felt I needed to move or be part of another club to realise my ambitions as a player. I now think that I can realise those same ambitions here at Fulham." (07/11/03)

The Sean Davis transfer saga took another twist today when Fulham Boss Chris Coleman made his feelings known on the matter. It seems to be a battle of wills down there at Fulham, as Coleman says he won't even get in the side as he is more than happy with his midfield.Lets hope Moyesy's plea to the board that the cash be found, does not fall on deaf ears, as this is one our Boss likes, and come the New Year when the transfer window reopens the unhappy Cottager is heading North to Goodison.

Fulham Boss Coleman says: "Sean is a very good player but he has stated that he wants to leave the club and I expect that to happen - probably in January. His transfer request has been sat in my top drawer since August. He's had a long time to ask for it back but hasn't.At this moment in time I'm more than happy with my midfield boys so there won't be any changes. I believe Everton are still interested in him as are one or two other clubs. We will have to see what happens." (18/10/03)

Sean is starting training again next week. That should make him fit just in time for the January sales.
Chris Coleman says: "Sean Davis is taking part in full training from the start of next week, so pretty quickly he'll be looking to get a reserve game in. It's good news on that front and it will give us more options." (03/10/03)

Back On Next Year

Moyesy has told Blue Bill what he wants for Crimbo, and the Wooly's ad hasn't even been on the telly yet!

Sean Davis is still on his shopping list when the transfer window re-opens on the New Year, subject to him having a clean bill of health. Moyesy said, 'I hope to bring Sean Davis to the club at the first opportunity, we can’t do it now. But we hope to sign him in January when the transfer window re-opens'.
'Provided the player proves his fitness and there are no problems with the knee injury, we will try and sign him. I hope Bill Kenwright and the board will agree. There is no one more determined to bring players to Everton than Bill.'

Bill, tell the board to get saving, it looks like the Boss means business! (02/09/03)

Deal Is Off

Moyesy has the last word on the Davis saga.

He said:"We have waited a long time for Sean Davis and it is very disappointing that the deal has broken down. But we will have to just roll our sleeves up and get on with it."(26/08/03)

Sean Davis will NOT sign for Everton before the transfer window closes next week-end.

David Moyes said:" After close inspection it is apparent that Sean Davis is presently unable to complete a medical prior to the close of the transfer window. With that in mind, we are not able to complete the transfer at present." (25/08/03)

Seanie is back at Bellefield today to finish the second part of his medical. You never know we could have a new player by the end of the day.

Moyesy said:"Sean will be back here on Monday, only then will we really know how fit he is when he completes his medical, the first part of which he has already had." (25/08/03)

Moyesy says: "During those meetings Sean has indicated to us that he would like to sign for Everton but there are further discussions to take place. At the moment he injured and he wouldn’t be able to play anyway, so there is time to go before anything is a completed. The injury is a problem. We have to address it, which we are doing just now and at the moment it is one of the things that would hold everything up. But as I have said before I don’t think there will be any news on anything regarding Sean Davis until the middle of next week.” Right lets leave it at that. (22/08/03)

At last! Moyesy has spoken to Sean. Moyesy says: "I showed Sean around and he is thinking things over at the moment. But his injury means he will still be out for another month so we are getting a serious amount of checks done today and he will see a specialist also. The deal will not be done until we are sure everything is alright - but we are hopeful." (22/08/03)

Today's daily bulletin on Sean is that he was supposed to be in talks with Everton last night, & that he will sign today after his medical. We'll see. (22/08/03)

Fulham boss Chris Coleman gave an update of the Davis transfer saga. So we could be in talks this week-end.

Coleman said:"The Claudio Reyna deal could go through at any minute. We are very close to signing him and once we get the all clear, we will give Sean Davis the all clear to go and talk to whoever he wants. It is highly unlikely that Sean will be a Fulham player past the transfer deadline.(21/08/03)

Who said this transfer saga would end today? Rayna was holding out for more cash, so he still hasn't signed. He is in London, though, which means we may be able to talk to Davis tomorrow, but don't hold your breath. (20/08/03)

This epic transfer saga should end tomorrow. Everton's Ian Ross says: "We expect the whole thing to be cut and dried either way within 36 hours". Things have moved on today, with Fulham sorting out the Claudio Rayner transfer. Now Moyesy can talk with Sean. Significantly, Boro have today signed Spanish International Mendieta for the season. Sean could fancy playing with him for a season, or fancy playing with The Duke for 10 seasons. Sean! It's over to you! (19/08/03)

Fulham manager, Chris Coleman, asked if he felt Davis may change his mind over leaving, said: "No, I don't think so. I think his mind's made up." Lets hope it's Everton. (18/05/03)

We all thought that Sean would have an hour with Moyesy & he'd be ours, but Fulham have kicked that into touch. They now won't let any talking take place, until they sign a midfield replacement. It is thought to be Claudio Rayner from Sunderland. (15/08/03)

At last Fulham have accepted our bid but, they have also accepted a bid from Boro’. If Moyesy works his magic he may be playing against the arse on Saturday.
Moyesy Says:" We have been given permission to speak to Sean today and hopefully we can convince him that his future lies at Goodison.” (14/08/03)

Everton got knocked back with their increased bid by Fulham today, but still remain favorites to sign Sean, even if they have to wait until right up to the transfer deadline on 31st August ,to get their man. Everton are banking on a combination of Fulham getting Claudio Reyna from Sunderland, & them wanting to get rid of a player, who costs them £20,000 a week, & yet doesn't want to play for them. (13/08/03)

Everton are in the driving seat at last, but will they crash at the last bend? Steve McLaren from Boro was hoping that they could entice Sean to the North East. Yer having a laugh! They even tried to get Mark Crossley involved in a player plus cash deal, but Fulham wouldn't have it. If Everton up their original bid, which by all accounts they will do tomorrow, then Sean should be ours. The main thing is Sean wants to come. BIG BUT. This is Everton. (12/08/03)

Chris Coleman has made it clear to all concerned that Fulham will need a replacement before he goes anywhere. Claudio Reyna maybe be the man to plug the gap for Fulham.

Coleman said:"Sean has made it clear to me that he does not want to play for Fulham. That's his prerogative, but the fact is that he is under contract for two more years, and if we can't get a replacement for him he will be staying here. Ideally, though, we will get somebody in because I don't want anybody to be here who does not want to be here."(09/08/03)

Moyesy hopes that Fulham will reconsider the original offer from Everton and still believes that is was a fair bid especially with Joe Cole (a full international ) going to Chelsea for £6.6m.

Moyesy said:"We have already made what we feel is a realistic offer and we hope that in light of this latest development Fulham will reconsider."(08/08/03)

Sean Davis has spoken of ambition to get into the England squad and to do this he must move from Fulham. Well Seanie what an opportunity you have to start laying on goals for Wayne in an Everton shirt as well as an England one. It's up to yerself.

Sean said:""I've been at Fulham a long time and now I think it is time I moved on. I have made the decision with no disrespect to Chris Coleman, who is a great guy. In fact, the decision was made harder because of my respect for him. Hopefully he will do well, but I have to put myself first. The European Championships are coming up at the end of the season and I feel I would have a better opportunity of making them by moving to a bigger club. (07/08/03)

Sean Davis has officially handed in a transfer request to Fulham. The reason he states is to further his career. This is good news for Everton, and with Moyesy wanting this player surely Sean will be Everton's first new face of the season.
More news to follow.... (07/08/03)

Sean has injured his knee, minutes after coming on as a second half sub for Fulham in a pre-season friendly in Austria last night. He was taken off as a precaution. So he'll be sitting around thinking about a possible move to Everton while he's injured. Could be the best thing that's happened to him. (24/07/03)

Fulham manager, Chris Coleman has laid down the gauntlet to Davis, by saying the only way he will let him go is if he puts in a transfer request.
Coleman says: “Sean wants to be informed of any new bids that come in for him but that’s all. Unless he refuses to play for us any longer and puts in a request to leave in writing then as far as I’m concerned he’s staying. I understand his ambition to join a bigger club in the future. But I also do not believe that the speculation is getting to him, judging by the way he’s been training in pre-season.” So Sean get the pen out. (21/07/03)

Seanie wants to see his Manager again, it seems he wants to speak to the Toffeemen. David Moyes is playing it cool as usual.

Moyesy said:"We are trying to exhaust every avenue possible, but if you think back it was the same last season before we eventually got the players we were after."

"It looks as if Sean Davis is a step too far for us now. The price we have been quoted is out of our capability, but we will keep pursuing it for a little while longer."(15/07/03)

Sean Davis has had words with his manager, & still doesn't know what's happening.
Sean says: "We'll just have to wait and see what happens over the next few weeks. There is nothing to say at the moment." (13/07/03)

Is this going to be this seasons Everton transfer saga? It seems that Seanie has got a titty lip on with Fulham because they have not kept him updated on Everton's offer and now he may request a meet with David Moyes.

Moyesy said: "Hopefully, we will get a positive outcome. At the moment it's not positive, but, who knows? Things might change."(10/07/03)

The £3.5m bid, leading to £5m was rejected by Fulham. Moyesy must see if Blue Bill will up the bid or look else where. A Fulham spokeswoman says:"Everton made an official bid. This has been officially rejected. We don't want Sean Davis to leave, nor will we be encouraging any further offers."

Moyesy says: "I will speak to Bill Kenwright today and see where we go from here. But there is not a great deal of money around and I won't be dwelling if it's not to happen. I will have to try and move on and start looking elsewhere."

We have it on good authority that Everton have made a £3.5m official bid for Sean Davis. Seanie (to his mates) is flattered by the interest, & would like to talk to us. Fingers crossed, but hey, this is Everton! (08/07/03)

It seems that Sean is the one that Moyesy is going for. It has been suggested in a few of the Sundays rags he has made a bid, but Coleman, Fulham's boss, is having none of it.

Moyesy said, "We have got a genuine interest in Sean Davis, but I cannot say much more at the moment."

Mr Mustard said, "The bottom line is that Sean says he is happy here and until he tells me otherwise that is the end of it. I'm not surprised Everton are interested and I'm sure a lot of other clubs will be as well in the future because he is a fantastic player - but we have had no firm offers." (07/07/03)

Moyesy has laid his cards on the table and said that Sean Davis is the man he is after, the problem is that not only do Fulham say he is not for sale, they also reckon we could not afford him! Watch this space. (05/07/03)

More rumours in the papers over Sean, but Everton will need to pay around £5m for him. (09/06/03)

The Fulham midfielder has had a good season. Again he's young, but will attract a sizable fee. Not a great goalscorer, but better than any of our midfielder's this season with 4. May be released to give Chris Coleman cash to buy new players. (25/04/03)

3. Lee Hendrie

It is widely rumoured that Moyesy is after Aston Villa midfielder Lee 'Monkey Boy' Hendrie, the rumours also suggest that Tommy Gravesen could be linked with Villa in a swap deal. Hendrie fits into the Moyesy mould, young, hard worker and a fierce will to win, on top of this he can also score goals so he would be an asset. However, unless Tommy has done something to upset The Moyesiah then we can't see him going in the opposite direction. (20/05/03)

2. Jason Koumas

Another Everton transfer target Jason Koumas, has decided to stay at the Baggies, and he has signed a four year extension to his contract. Now there's ambition for you.

Baggies Boss Gary Megson says: "We're really pleased Jason has signed this contract. Hopefully, this will enable him to get his head straight and concentrate solely on his football." (16/07/04)

Apparently Jace (to his mates), who recently had a transfer request turned down, is missing his family and wants to get back to Merseyside. The only problem is that Everton would like him. West Brom are bracing themselves for an offer of £1m down and £100,000 per year until 2008, when they will cash in on 'The Capital of Culture' title and add an apple and an orange to clinch the deal. (15/07/04)

Jason has handed in a transfer request to WBA. Yer never know.

WBA Chairmam Jeremy Peace says: "We have received a written transfer request from Jason which we have turned down" (10/07/04)

Everton Manager Davey Moyes confirmed that Jason Koumas was one of the midfield players He was tracking when the transfer window re opens in January.

Moyesy says: "We are monitoring targets in central midfield.I would hate to think there is any team who scouts more than we do. We do need a central midfielder but we have to raise the funds. Jason Koumas is an excellent talent and we have watched him but West Brom do not want to sell their best players." (01/11/03)

Apparently Jason is keen to get back to Merseyside. The problem again for us is money. Things may happen in January. (20/09/03)

Everton tried to land Jason just before last season's deadline on a loan deal, but were knocked back by Tranmere. Jase (to his mates) then went to WBA. With the Baggies being relegated, they will want to re-coup some of the transfer money. Jase was back in Birkenhead last Sunday. He let us know that he would like to come to Everton. So there you go. All we need is a few bob to sign him, & there is the problem. (07/05/03)

1. Alessandro Grandoni

Sampdoria defender, Sandro (to his mates) is having a fine season at the Heart of the Seria B table toppers. The 25 year old is strong in the tackle, & scores the odd goal. (06/03/03)
