bluekipper.com will be fishing out all the rumours over the next few months.
Moyesy has a month when the Transfer window opens in January 2006 to sign
new players. We will be giving kippers out of 5. The more kippers the
more likely we think the transfer will happen. If there are rumours you
have heard let bluekipper.com know. info@bluekipper.com

Players IN January 2006 (The Rumour Mill) Fishy out - Summer 2005 EXCLUSIVE - NEW SIGNINGS
|
Transfer Window Open From 1st January 2006 - 31st January 2006 With the window now closed until Summer, Moyesy will have to do with what he's got. He'll hope that Beattie, Ferguson and Vaughan - our only 3 strikers stay clear of injury and suspension. Fat Chance! (01/02/06) It looks like tomorrow will be a late night for Evertonians, as Moyesy put his Blue Kipper PR hat on to say if it happens it will be a last minute thing. Moyesy
says: "We
are trying and we have looked at many options. We are around people
but I wouldn't lie to you and say there is something absolutely imminent.
But we are hoping that in the next 24 hours maybe we can pull something
off. But if we do, it will definitely be a last minute thing."
(30/01/12) With just a day to go to the transfer window closing, Evertonians will be banging their keyboards desperately trying to find out which striker Moyesy has signed. Things have become even more desperate after the Chelsea game. We are officially now two strikers short as Marcus Bent's departure leaves us even shorter than before. Most Evertonians will agree that it was good business, but no matter what you think of Bent as a player, he made up the numbers and was a striker and now he's gone. Now we have James Beattie out injured, James McFadden with 10 stitches and a broken nose and Duncan Ferguson definitely not available to start the Wigan game after his heroics against John Terry. So that leaves Everton with just one fit striker. That being Vic Anichebe, who's first team experience amounts to 2 minutes against Chelsea. This is an unusual situation, but one that may crop up a few times between now and the end of the season. Now we don't want to panic anyone, but we are in the shit big time. Moyesy has said that if the right striker is not available for the right money he will wait for the Summer to get a new striker on board. But the goalposts have moved. We have no strikers available to play against Wigan. The thing about playing Osman and Cahill as make shift strikers is ok for a one off game, but they are midfield players who should play there. So Moyesy now has to decide if he is going to pay more than he wants for the likes of David Nugent or bring back the likes of Franny Jeffers back for a third time. We hope not. But desperate times need desperate decisions. The other choice, do nothing is a dangerous choice. It's a dilemma, but one that Moyesy must make. David the choice is yours. Moyesy says: "We need the numbers but I don't want to make a decision on somebody in three days and regret it when he comes in." (29/01/06) Moyesy now has the Kroldrop cash to add to what he already had, but Moyesy is still pessimistic of signing a striker. Moyesy says: "You can rule out Mark Viduka. Ideally we are looking for another centre-forward. But every name you mention, we have probably already been there and tried it. It is not through the want of looking, it is just a question of finding the right players. I am not confident of finding the right player before the window closes. But we are scouring and keeping it going to find something we think we could help us. The board have given me that money (from Kroldrup) but I don't think the players we would genuinely want are available." (20/01/06) The £2M we have got from the Bent deal will be added to the kitty, but Moyesy is not confident of bringing someone in. Surely he has got something up his sleeve. Moyesy says: "The board here have always been very good, they always make everything available to me that they can and I am sure that the money we get from the Marcus Bent deal will be available to me. But spending it is a different question. We are short, though, in the striking department now. And we were short even while Marcus Bent was here. "We know we have to strengthen but it is not an easy thing to do. I can assure you that all the strikers that people have got in their heads that could help us, have all been asked about. Take it from me that we have tried, we have talked about them all."(17/01/06) English players are too expensive. So says Scrooge, sorry Moyesy. Moyesy says: "I think it was the same last January and I think it is not a particularly good month for signings to be made. There have been a few more made this year than last. But for the likes of us, the valuation you are getting from clubs in the Championship is more than you would think they are worth. Those clubs probably have players they want to keep to try and get them in the Premier League which means there is not much moving or you have to pay a really extortionate price. That means the players we are looking at are limited." (13/01/06) Only a week after saying "If you aren't looking to strengthen your squad you aren't doing your job", Moyesy has shocked the fans by saying there'll be no signings in the January Transfer Window. Moyesy says: "I don't think there'll be any movement at all, The people I would prefer to bring in are not available. I don't think there'll be anyone coming in." (09/01/06) Moyesy must buy players in the January window, as Everton only had 13 fit players for yesterday's win against Charlton. Moyesy says: "We are trying to be active but we don't have much money. If you are a manager, any manager, then if you aren't looking to strengthen your squad then you aren't doing your job. People leaving is not a possibility at the moment. If you look at the bench on Monday we have got Marcus Bent who had a hamstring problem, James McFadden who had the flu, Per Kroldrup who has the flu and Gary Naysmith who hasn't played for months, so it would be very hard for us if we were to lose someone." (03/01/06) Everton second in command, Alan Irvine has surprised fans by admitting that the boss and himself haven't talked much about possible transfer targets, due to being too busy training and playing games. Well they better hurry up as a few players have already been signed. Alan says: "David and I haven't talked that much about the transfer situation, because we are in the middle of too many games and the priority at the moment is dealing with the games that we play and of course approaching the next game so I couldn't give you too much information as far as that is concerned. It is not a distraction because the most important thing right now is the four games we have in such a short time. You don't know where stories come from. I read quite a number of them with a great deal of surprise to be honest. We are continually looking for new players to bring in. The only time you can actually do it is during the transfer windows, and if we can find players to improve the squad then we will try and do that but we don't have a great deal of money so we won't be bringing in a load of players." (30/12/05) It looks like Moyesy will bring in a few players, but only on loan. Moyesy says: "We have made enquiries about players, but I'll be surprised if we enter the market because we don't have much to spend and the players we have been interested in are valued at much more than what we have got available to us. We have small amounts of money available to us and we will try and use it as wisely as we can. The loan market is something we are actively pursuing. We want to make things better and we are looking towards it. We will try and play the loan market, if we can, and see if there is anyone out there who we could bring in to help us." (29/12/05) Moyesy
reckons he won't have enough cash to buy who he wants. With the transfer opening on 1st Jan 2006 for one month, every Evertonian is hoping Moyesy signs new players. Depending on who you listen to he will have between £3m and £9m to spend. (23/12/05) |

Poooooooom (to his mates) is on stand by to join Everton from Arsenal on a months loan provided neither Jens Lehmann nor Manuel Almuniaare are injured at the Real Madrid v Arsenal game tonight. Arsenal have agreed to loan the 34 year old Estonian international to Everton on a month-by-month basis. Mart will be available for Everton's game at Newcastle this weekend. (21/02/06) With Everton getting the all clear off the FA to sign another keeper, Arsenal reserve Mart Poom is currently the name being bandied about. After the injury to Nige, the sending off of Iain Turner, and Dickie's Frank Spencer moment, Moyesy is scouring the country for a keeper with Premiership experience who is available on a months loan. Mart it seems fits the bill. Blue

Steff has decided to stay in his native Norway and has joined Rosenborg. (12/011/06) Everton have confirmed that they may sign the ex- Spurs striker. The 29 year old Norwegian International is at Bellefield on a two day trial. Steff (to his mates) is currently out of contract and therefore Everton can sign him even though it's outside the January transfer window. Other clubs such as Pompey, Celtic and Mallorca are also interested. Moyesy says: "He is in for a day or two and that is it." Steff's agent Rune Hauge says: "Everton contacted us and they seem to be interested. Steffen will be there for two, three days, train with the club and look at the conditions. We are not in a hurry and have ongoing talks with several clubs." Blue

Everton beat the midnight deadline to sign the new hot stuff of world football, wonder kid Noah Baarde. Noah Baarde can play up front, midfield and in the back four, and the Blues beat off stiff competition for the player, picking him up on a free, and his wages are believed to be minimal. Moyesy has been tracking the player for months, and it was a nap that the Blues would sign Noah Baarde in January. Noah Baarde will be unveiled at Goodison later today, and he should be in Everton's squad for this weekends clash against Shiiittteeeehhh. Noah Baarde Agent says: "Great Stuff, this is a dream come true for the lad. Noah Baarde signing for Everton, it's what we expected." (01/02/06) Blue

NAC Breda have jumped in and signed Snowy. (28/01/06) Feyenoord have reported that Snowy(to his mates) has been at Bellefield for a few days trial, although there has been no confirmation from Everton. It seems Man City and the Blues are in a battle to land Heerenveen's Greek Striker Georgios Samaras. City it is believed have tabled a £5m offer, and Moyesy will have to up this to around £6m if he is to land the player. Samaras has made it clear that his future lies in the Premiership, and with the clock ticking, Moyesy may have his hand forced into paying the cash. Samaras has scored seven goals this season for the Dutch side, and as Thierry Henry, Adrian Mutu and Ronaldo fail to fit into Everton's style of play, Moyesy may strike for the Greek Adonis. Moyesy is keen, as he even flew off to watch Samaras in Holland after Everton's win over Arsenal. To save a few quid, it is believed he went Easyjet, and we can emphatically deny any rumours that he was spotted in Amsterdam's notorious red light area, though bluekipper.com can recommend that it is worth a visit. Abdo has been playing for the Ivory Coast in the African Nations cup, helping them to gain a quarter final place. (26/01/06) Marseille defender Abdo (to his mates) is currently playing in the African Cup of Nations for the Ivory Coast. Everton, Bolton, Boro and you've guessed it Newcastle are looking at the 26 year old defender. Abdo says: "I am not taking a decision in a hurry. I have a concrete proposition from a third Premiership club, who is struggling right now. I want to leave Marseille, I will be in the Premier League, however I am not going to a club just to go. I need to make the right choice, I give myself until January 31 to make a decision." (22/01/06) Blue

The Danish forward has been banging the goals in lately. After having a quiet start to the season, he has now scored 15 in 25 games. He has rejected a new contract offer from the Gers. Only 26, he has had Birmingham and Pompey enquiring, but they were told were to go. Pet says: "I hope people will have been watching me recently, and my form might give me more options. I turned down a contract here in the summer. But at that point, I didn't know what was going to happen. It was nothing to do with the standard of contract. Few clubs are as big as Rangers - but I'd be interested in all offers." (17/01/09) |

Unless a top club comes in for him (that's us out then), Celtic will wait for Stili to play the remaining 18 months of his contract. Hoops manager, Stracken says: "Stilian is more than delighted to play another 18 months with us. I'm also happy that one day we might offer something he's happy with and get it all done with. There's only real top clubs who could do anything in the meantime. The Celtic fans can rest assured only top, top clubs can sign him." (14/01/06) Stili (to his mates) is looking to discuss his contract, but Celtic haven't made any moves. The Bulgarian International play maker could be available. One of Stili's mates says: "Celtic have had three and a half months to strike a deal with Stilian, but that doesn't seem to be any closer and you eventually have to ask: Do Celtic really want him? The club have lost Jackie McNamara and Chris Sutton because they had not come up with the sort of deals the players were looking for." (11/01/06) Blue

Adam will train with Everton for the rest of the week, so Moyesy can have a look at him. The defender is 18 years old and has been capped for Wales at U19 & U21 level. Cambridge boss, Rob Newman says: "I felt it was good for Adam and Michael to train with Premiership players in that environment and see what that stage is all about. I know David Moyes personally and he asked if he could have a closer look at them, and we haven't got a game this weekend so they've gone up there this week to train. Mike is back at Cambridge after a week training with Everton. He was chuffed to be at Bellefield. Well who wouldn't? Mike says: "It's just a different world. At Everton, there are eight or nine coaches and I'm not used to that at Cambridge. Here there are only two coaches and you don't realise how hard Rob (Newman) and Spearo (Tony Spearing) work and what a good job they do until you've seen that. Where we went, they had five pitches and a gym right next door as well as an Astroturf pitch with everything on one site. You could use the facilities however much you wanted whereas we have to travel around for everything. On one day, David Moyes got the defenders into a room and showed clips from Everton games from this season, going through it and saying what they could or should have done. We haven't got the use of that at Cambridge and they take it out on the training ground. They put the strikers into it so the whole session went from just watching it to going out and doing the whole thing. I'd heard a few stories that he was quite a fiery bloke but he was quite placid and his coaching was really good. He watched over all the sessions, asked questions and got everyone involved. There's so much to learn and even if nothing comes from it, it was such a good experience for both me and Adam. Training with some of the best players in England has got to improve you and it's nice to have an experience of other players and types of football because every league has a different style. It's good to see what other teams are trying to do and how they're training to win games because there's more than one way to do it. If I could get into the Premiership, it would be a dream come true. I've got to make sure I keep my feet on the ground, but the lads do that for me. I just thought I'd be with the youth team for the rest of the year and it would be next year before I got a chance." (20/01/06) A 17 year old central defender, who has played this season in the conference. He was just 15 when he became the youngest ever Cambridge player. A tall defender already shows maturity beyond his years on the pitch and has shown himself to be a natural leader. Mike will train with Everton for the rest of the week, so Moyesy can have a look at him. Vaarty (to his mates) is looking to get into the Premiership. He was supposed to be next Dutch superstar for both club and country when he made his debut for Ajax as a 17 year old. For the first few seasons everything was fine, he was scoring regular, but then was made captain and things went down hill from then. He had injuries, the press named him 'the little angel, and he never got on with the manager and so moved to Hamburg at the beginning of the season to get away from the limelight and make a fresh start. David Moyes has had his say on this knobhead, after he suggested he wouldn't dream of going to Everton. Moyesy says:"We were approached by an agent who said he was representing Nicolas Anelka. Our enquiries have suggested he is not the right man for this football club." (19/01/06) A
our source in France, HP has heard that Nic doesn't fancy Everton, but
would like to join, yes you've guessed it Newcastle. The rumour mills are in over drive on the possibility of Le Sulk joining the Blues. Maybe Moyesy knowing the players reputation for pledging his life to a club, then moving on three weeks later, may move for a possible loan deal. There is no denying that when he puts his mind to it the Frenchman is hot property, the problem is putting his mind to it. Fenerbahçe, his current club are rumoured to be hanging out for £7million big ones. Everton need a striker of proven class, Le Sulk wants away, so there may be a bit of mileage in this one. (10/01/06) This puzzled soul is a top player, when he gets his mind on it. Unfortunately PSG, Arse, Real Madrid, redshite, Shitteh, and Fenerbahçe have seen both sides of Nic (to his mates). He's 27 now and should be coming into his prime. Some how it looks as though he's past that. Nic says: "I don't know when I will leave Turkey. It will depend on the offers. Fatty's agent is making noises about an eleventh hour bid from the Blues. A fee in the region of £3.5m is being bandied about for the Turkisk forward. Apparently behind the scenes discussions are going on as we speak, and if there is any truth in the rumour, all parties will have to get their fingers out before the midnight deadline once again comes and goes for the rest of the season. Ceylan Caliskan ( Tekke's Agent) says: "It is going to be hard with the deadline coming. But we are now meeting with Trabzonspor and will see what happens." Wigan have now pulled out of the race, leaving Everton to sign the striker if they up the cash. Pie eater, Jewell says: "We had a look at him in the summer and tried for him then, and we've had another good look at him since. Reports from Italy from his agent are saying that 34 year old Former Italian international goalkeeper Francesco(Franco to his mates) could leave Inter Milan for Everton. Franco's agentThe agent of former Italian keeper Francesco Toldo is trying to engineer a move to the Premiership, using Everton as potential bait to hook other clubs on the end of his line. Agent, Claudio Pasqualin says: "Francesco is a Bosman in the summer and there are offers in for him now. Palermo and Benfica in Portugal have made offers for Francesco. In the market in England I know Everton like Francesco and their manager is clever in that he has bought players from Italy before so he knows all about Francesco. Sutton has signed for Birmingham. (05/01/06) Everton have spoken to Chris, but he is speaking to Birmingham and Portsmouth aswell. He wants a two and a half year contract and will cost around £300,000. Everton want him on loan until the end of the season with a permanent deal if all goes well. Birmingham look to have moved in as favourites as they will give him the contract he wants straight away. His agent Chris McGill says: "Chris has a right to speak to other clubs and I'm travelling round speaking to interested clubs at the moment. I'm just doing my job and if a club calls me then I will hear what they have to say. I won't say which clubs are in the frame but there are more than two clubs interested and they are all in the Premiership. They are a mixture of top clubs, middle-ranking clubs and others. 7 goals from 24 games this season has brought a few Premiership clubs to see him this season. Si(to his mates) is only 20 years old and can play up front or in any midfield position. He prefers right midfield. Bury recently turned down a £330,000 bid from Sheff Wed. Bury boss Chris Casper says: "There is a lot of interest in Simon but, at the same time, he's got to be focused to do a job for us. If the fee's not right, then he's not going. We're not going to just give him away, there's no question about that." (21/12/05) Blue

Great name Dan (to his mates). We'll have fun with that if you join us. A big powerful old fashioned type centre half. At 6'3" is very good in the air, and scores his fair share of goals from corners. The 25 year old is a Nigerian International. (21/12/05) Blue

Signed from Leeds at the beginning of the season. The 18 year old has been used sparingly playing 6 games this season. He has blistering pace and a few tricks Faddy may want to try. We can't see Spurs letting him go. (20/12/05) Blue

Moyes and Irvine watched Ernie play 12 minutes, as he came on as sub in the Wigan v WBA game on Sunday. Some reports say a £1.5m bid by Everton was rejected by the Baggies. (17/01/06) Ernie wants away as soon as possible from WBA. Ernie says: "It is as clear as crystal that I need to get away from West Brom for the sake of my domestic and international career. I don't really know what the future holds for me but it is increasingly clear that it's not here and I have to do something about it. I have worked hard on my game and think I deserve a better shot than I'm getting at the club. I am disappointed and very frustrated. I know I can do myself justice in the Premiership. I'm learning all the time but I need playing time and I'm not getting it at Albion so there is only one alternative. While I will always have a smile on my face, I am getting a bit disillusioned with it all because it affects my chances with Wales." (09/01/06) WBA manager, Robson has said Ernie can go if they get a big enough fee. (06/01/06) Anyone who can do a tumble as good as Peter Bergrie must be looked at. Apparently he has put in a transfer request as he's not getting a game at the Baggies. Ernie(to his mates) scored 107 goals in just 167 starts for Cardiff and netted 7 times in 13 appearances for Wales. (21/12/05)

Bolton have signed Matt until the end of the season. (13/01/06) As we reported last week, Matt has been officially released from his contract. Any club can now negotiate direct with the player, with no fee involved. (11/01/06) Matt has
been released from his contract and Everton, and Bolton are leading the
chase for him. During his first season in the Premiership he scored 16 goals in 43 starts. That was in 2001/02, when he was on the verge of an England call up. He was injured in a motorbike accident during that Summer and missed 5 months of the next season. He has not regained his place since then. If he can regain his form, he would be a big asset, but it's a big if. (19/12/05) Blue

After getting over the shock of it all, it seems that everybody at the club is happy about the whole thing. Stubbsey says he is sorry and Moysey loves him to pieces. We will see where it takes us. Stubbsey says:"Shortly after I left Everton last summer I made certain accusations which I do now regret due to a basic misunderstanding. I now accept that -- as the club said at the time -- they were fully prepared to remove the clause in question upon my being given the all clear by a specialist. I appreciate that, at the time, my comments may have caused offence to some people. I can only apologise. I am absolutely thrilled and delighted to be back at the club I have supported all my life -- what happened last summer is now water under the bridge. My target is now a simple one -- I want to prove my worth between now and the end of the season in the hope of securing a contractual extension. All I want to do now is play for Everton for as long as possible and to end my playing career at Goodison Park." Moyesy says: "With Joseph being away, we are just a little bit short so I felt I needed someone with a bit of experience, someone who could come in and wouldn't take long to settle.Alan knows how we work, he knows the things we do. He shouldn't need any time to break himself in. He is here as cover to help us out with what we have got and he accepts that. I think he is glad to be back here. "Everyone knows we offered him a year's contract. We felt it was right for the age he was at. Probably in hindsight Alan sees that he made a mistake and he should have accepted the contract. But that's done. We're all happy. There has never been any fall-out between me and Alan. We got on with it, I have spoken with him and I have seen a glint in his eye again. This is his club, it's the one his family supports. We didn't want him to go in the first place." (20/01/06) Exclusive Alan Stubbs will sign for Everton tomorrow. The move will shock a few Evertonians after the bust up at the start of the season between the club and Stubbsey, but with Kroldrup on his way to Italy he can come in and do a job. You heard it here first.(19/01/05) Stubbsey has rubbished reports linking him
with a move back to Everton. According to some sources, Stubbsey wants to come back to Everton just six months after he left. Blue Kipper's player of the season for 2001/02 left after a public slanging match between the club and the skipper. The player wanted a two year contract, but the club only offered a one year contract. A move will only take place if Everton will bury the hatchet with the 34 year old defender after the ill feeling and of course if this alleged source is not telling porky pies. An alleged source close to Stubbsey says: “Alan is unhappy at Sunderland and things have not worked out how he had hoped when he went there in the summer. His family are still on Merseyside and he finds the travelling up and down between home and Sunderland very difficult. He would like to go back to Everton and ideally he would like to move next month when the transfer window opens. Alan was unhappy when he left because of what they tried to do with his contract, but that’s history as far as he is concerned and he would be prepared to start again. He still has a great affinity with the club, going back to when he supported them as a boy.” (15/12/05) Blue

A name from the past has cropped up with relation to signing for the Blues. Long time Everton target from his Fulham days, Sean Davis is wasting away currently in Spurs reserves, and Sean for one is not happy with the situation. Moyesy has made no secret of his admiration for the midfielder, and Sean himself is considering a move away from White Hart Lane. Sean says: "I want to try and play for Tottenham's first team but if that's not the case then I'm going to have to consider going on loan or a permanent move to another side. Most of us are used to playing week in, week out. When you're not it's hard to take. When you're not making an 18 or 20-man squad it can be a bit depressing - but you can't sulk. You have to keep working hard and be professional." (13/12/05)

Some reports say that Everton will not signing Richard as he is too small. (26/01/06) The 18-year-old keeper who hasn't even played for Brighton's first team is the latest goalkeeper Everton are about to sign. Brighton's spokesman says: "I have seen the reports, but there has been no official approach from Everton for Richard. Richard is on a professional contract here at Brighton and he is highly-regarded. We know that a lot clubs have scouts at our games as we have a lot of promising young players." (08/12/05) Blue

The midfielder who can also play in defence, is a local lad born and bred, and a move without moving may appeal to him. The Rat wants Lee to prove himself in the Championship first before making the move to the Premiership. Kevin Ratcliffe says: "Lee has got a great opportunity to play in the Championship with Swansea. I think he needs to get to that level first to see how he can handle it. The Premiership is a big, big step for Lee - you're talking about jumping up two divisions and that's a massive leap for anyone. When Premiership clubs take players from the lower leagues, they usually put them in the reserves first to bed them in. But, because of his age, Lee would have to go straight into the first team. At 29, he doesn't have time on his side. If he can succeed in the Championship then he stands an even better chance of a move to the Premiership and making a success of it. He'd only need to score regularly for one year in the Championship to attract interest from the Premiership. He might have turned 30 by then, but that won't matter too much if he's scoring goals on a regular basis. Clubs could still get a year or two out of him." (01/12/05) Swansea manager, Kenny Jackett says: ''Lee could score goals in any team, even in the Premiership. He has to be in a side that creates chances for him - like most goalscorers, service is the key. But if you get the ball into his feet in and around the penalty box, where he is strong, then Lee will get goals for anybody. He has been in a Swansea side where we have got the ball to him and created chances for him, and in that situation he will always convert a good percentage.'' Lee has stated he's an Everton supporter and if the opportunity comes to play in the Premiership I can understand that. We said when Sheffield Wednesday made an offer that this club is stable financially and that any deal would have to be right for both parties. Generally, I try not to worry about things that I can't really affect. If Everton ring me about Lee there's nothing I can do about that. But if it did happen, I would like to think Lee would remember that we are an ambitious club and I am an ambitious manager. I would like to think he realises that we helped him to be the player he is. I believe our progression and our professionalism have played a big part in Lee's development. I would like to think Lee's happy here and wants to stay. Long may the speculation about my players continue, because it shows they and I must be doing something right.'' (30/11/05) Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins says: "Lee has given a couple of interviews where he has made it clear that he has an affection for Everton. And now the Everton manager has turned up at one of our games I think people are putting two and two together. But there's never been any contact between Everton and ourselves and I've got no idea if David Moyes was even watching Lee. It could be that Everton watch most of Tranmere's games if they are not playing themselves. It's on their doorstep after all. We're not fearing that Everton are about to come in for Lee. Whatever develops over the next month or over the next two years we will deal with when it happens," Lee says: "I think deep down if a Premiership club comes in, no Swansea fan would begrudge me moving on to the top flight. I'm an Everton fan and I'd give anything to play for them, and I think everyone knows that." (29/11/05) Apparently
Moyesy was at Prenton Park to watch Lee in action for Swansea against
Tranmere on Saturday. The Evertonian scouser would love to join his hometown club. The left footed striker has pushed Swansea to top of league one with his 17 goals in 16 games. The 29 year old scored 23 last season. Swansea rejected a bid of £750,000 for him from Sheff Wed earlier in the season. Lee says: "I think I can do it in the Premiership. I'm a goalscorer and believe in my own ability. That's the way you've got to go out and play football. It's no good settling for something when you think you can do better. I believe I'm a player who can play at the highest level. It's out of my hands if a big club comes in and puts a bid in. It's just up to me to do my thing on the pitch and that's what I'm doing." Wigan manager has ko'd the notion that JB will be leaving the JJB. Jewell says: "We have had no enquiries for any of our players, and even if we had, we are not in the business of selling our best players at this football club." (23/11/05) The former West Ham player (JB to his mates) was picked up for £750,000 from Barry Fry's Posh by Wigan boss Paul Jewell. He was one of the main reasons Wigan got promoted to the premiership. Hasn't scored the goals from midfield Wigan hoped for, but still one of the first names on the team sheet. Jewell has no need to sell the 27 year old. (21/11/05) Blue

Moyesy has given Paddy a good luck message as he join's his old club. Moyesy says: "Roy Keane has joined a terrific club so good luck to him." (16/12/05) After all the sightings, my mate told me this story, the texts, the calls. All shit. The mild mannered Irish man has joined Celtic, were probably he was always going to go. So The Blues join the likes of Madrid, Bolton, West Ham all kicking their heels. As my mum always said, 'if it's meant to be, its meant to be'. Always thought it was a daft saying, but I thought after 38 years of putting up with me, she deserves a mention. (15/12/05) Real Madrid have said that Paddy is merely on a list of possible targets and that no medical has taken place. Real Madrid's Antonio Garcia Ferreras says: "Roy Keane is on the list of possible signings that the club is discussing at the moment. But nothing has been decided as yet. Contrary to reports in the press the player has not passed a medical with Real nor will he do so in the next couple of days. What is true is that the player was offered to the club around a month ago and because of his characteristics he is the sort of player that interests the technical staff. They are going to sit down in seven or eight days and decide on who, if anyone, the club will sign when the transfer window opens." (12/12/05) Paper talk? According to some sources Paddy has already had a medical in England and will now sign for Real Madrid early next week. (11/12/05) At least Everton are saying something, after reports today suggested that mild mannered Keano is about to put pen to paper at Goodison. Moyesy is at least prepared to tell the fans the latest update. Moyesy says: "I couldn't give you any more information about Roy Keane. We have got an interest in Roy Keane but I couldn't give you any more than that at the moment. I have no idea what the situation is. I can just tell you what is happening from our side." (09/12/05) Michael Kennedy says:"There is nothing to report and I have no idea if there will be any decision this week." (07/12/05) Everton have confirmed that they have been in talks with ex Man United midfieder Roy Keane. The talks however did not take place on the Big One at Blackpool. Roy has told the Blues and the other interested parties that he will make a decision on Monday concerning his future. Moyesy says: "I can confirm we have had talks with Roy Keane." (02/12/05) Another flurry of calls to bluekipper this morning, and our source close to the club, he's a guy that lives in Goodison Road, well thats close, is saying our man Roy has been spotted going into the halls of Goodison this morning. Other call to us have spotted Keano on the Big One in Blackpool, and cruising up and down the Mersey, slagging Mancs off at the top of his voice. (02/12/05) The Keane Spotters have been out in force. Paddy has been spotted in Broadgreen hospital (obviously taking a medical), at Lourdes hospital (taking another medical), at Bellefield (with his boots), at Goodison (looking at the executive boxes), a hotel near his Cheshire home (with Moyesy) and at a London conference centre (with Big Keith). All in one day. He's still as fit as when he was 21. Sign him. (30/11/05) Rumours were rife last night that Roy was on his way to Goodison. Mesage Boards, text's, phone calls, and even reports on Sky News were claiming Roy will be at Goodison in a player Coach Role. Roy has apparently met up with Moyesy to discuss terms. Bookies across the nation have slashed their odds on the genteel Irish lad pulling on the Royal Blue. A hint of caution though, bookies slash their odds for two reasons. Firstly if they have inside info that something is about to happen, or secondly the Pied Piper effect. Everyone nails their cash on him, so everyone else follows suit. Bookies drop their price accordingly to protect their interests, and still clean up, after nothing |
