Players IN Summer 2006 (The Rumour Mill)         Fishy In - Jan 2006       EXCLUSIVE - NEW SIGNINGS

Transfer Deadline Today

Moyesy has until midnight tonight to sign any more players to add to his squad. It's very quiet on the rumour front, especially with Everton signing Johnson, Lescott and Howard earlier in the Summer and with Tommy Gravesen going to Celtic and Steed Malbranque expected to sign for Spurs. Everton could still cash in on Killa and Simple to provide cash for new players, but if we do sign anyone, you'll be first to know here.

Moyesy in the Summer said: "The club have been great and we've spent a big part of our money. The players who we bring in now won't be costly ones. I would still like to add another couple of players but I would expect that to be a lot nearer the deadline than now, so I'm going to push hard for that." (31/08/06)

Still Looking For Players

The manager of the People's Club still insists he's hoping to sign a few more players in before the start of the season.

Moyesy says: "Every year we have expectations and this year is no different. I am pleased with the players I have got and I am still hopeful of getting one or two more in before we start." (17/07/06)

Even though he has got his 3 down the middle sorted in Howard, Lescott and Johnson, Moyesy is still looking for a couple more players to improve the numbers in the squad. We would imagine that these players would be on free transfers or small fee involved.

Moyesy says: "We have got one or two exciting players in to go with what we have already got. With a bit of luck we might add one or two more before the start of the season, but I would expect that to be a lot nearer the deadline than now. I'm looking closely at the World Cup to see if there is anything there. But we have to be fair. The club have been great and we've spent a big part of our money. The players who we bring in now won't be costly ones. I would still like to add another couple of players before the season kicks-off for numbers and better competition, so I'm going to push hard for that." (15/06/06)

Double Up Now For The Treble

Just over seven weeks ago, some of the bluekipper team had a little flutter on a double and a treble bet. We thought Moyesy would just buy three players in the Summer. We even named the players for you. We won't mind if Andy Webster isn't the third player. Huth or Lescott will do. We will be cashing in our betting slip tomorrow for the double.

Moyesy says: "We may have a new addition to the squad in the next three or four days. We will just have to wait and see but I won't name anyone, that wouldn't be fair."

Blue Bill says: "At the end of last season, David confirmed he would like to strengthen the squad with a new goalkeeper, a defender and a striker. We have completed the first two parts of the triangle and I'm hopeful we can complete the third." (31/05/06)

Moyes - No big changes in squad

Everton have Duncan Ferguson, Nigel Martyn, Alan Stubbs, Li Tie, and David Weir all out of contract in the summer. Plus Matteo Ferrari's loan spell will be over. So Moyesy will have to make some decisions on these players before we start signing any players.

Moyesy says:
"I don't think we will have big cash but we always try to improve the squad every year. The board have always backed me to the hilt and given me all the money they can. We know there will be a drop off of players going out and we will need to bring players in as well to keep up the squad numbers. I don't think it will be great numbers but we certainly want to improve if we can.
Players are always playing for their future in some way, but we know exactly what they can do and I don't think what happens in the last month of the season will make a big difference to what I have decided."

So it's just Tim Howard, Andy Webster and Andy Johnson then. (11/04/06)

50. Lars Stubhaug

Everton have signed 16-year-old goalkeeper Lars Stubhaug from Vard-Haugesund for around £250,000. Although Everton have not confirmed this. (28/08/06)

Blue Kipper says:

49. Antoine Sibierski

Ant, to his mates, is set to sign for the Toffeemen according to his agent. Surely a 32year old would not interest David Moyes. But yer never know.

Ant's agent Willie McKay says:"I have spoken to David Moyes and he is great admirer of Antoine. He is hoping something can be done to bring Antoine to Goodison Park. (08/08/06)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Newcastle

Antoine Sibierski

48. Kevin McDonald

Everton have joined the race for Dundee's promising young midfielder Kevin McDonald. Alex Rae, Dundee's boss, has already turned down an offer from Celtic, before the Blues launched their undisclosed bid. It seems reading between the lines, that it is only a matter of time till McDonald leaves Dens Park for pastures new, once the right cash offer materialises.

Dundee Manager Alex Rae says: "Everton approached us with a bid but we decided to reject it. A number of big clubs are after Kevin, so it is probably only a matter of time until one of them bids enough. But I'm going to make sure that it's written into any deal that he comes back here on loan immediately." (27/07/06)

Blue Kipper says:

47. Thomas Gravesen

Tommy has signed a contract with Celtic. (30/08/06)

Reports say Tommy is in Scotland having a medical with Celtic. He is worried that he may spend the season not playing at Madrid if he doesn't get fixed up with a club before the transfer deadline this week. Newcastle, Everton, Celtic and Boro are all thought to want the £2m rated 30 year old.

Tommy says: "I fear that I'll be stuck not able to do the thing I love. Maybe in 5 minutes I will get a phone call to say two clubs have ageed terms and I can be on my way there." (28/08/06)

David would have Mad Dog like a shot. Go get him.

Moyesy says:"Tommy would be welcome back. If he ever indicated he was interested in coming back to Everton we'd be interested in going in for him."(07/08/06)

Tommy Grav's agent is touting the midfielder around to clubs back in England, after a rumoured training ground bust up. It appears Tommy had a full blow out with his Madrid team mate Robinho (I might add he gave him a good kicking, learnt of Dunc apparently), and it seems his days in Spain are numbered. Everton do have a clause in the original transfer deal that took Tommy to the Bernabeu, but it is if Moyesy wants the lunatic midfielder back at Goodison.

Tommy's Whiter Than White Agent John Sivebaek says: He loved England and he is only 30 so he could still play at the top level. So why not move back to England. I think some teams have contacted Madrid, but I don't know anything about Newcastle (skunks). He's not looking to leave Madrid, but it seems that he's not going to play there. He's not keen on leaving but if he's not going to play, he will look at other options." (02/08/06)

The Grav it seems is surplus to requirements at Real Madrid, who are now under the new leadership of Fabio Capello. The hirsute ex Everton midfielder has a clause in his contract that gives Everton first refusal for his services, if he was to move on. Moyesy no doubt will be checking the small print on the contract, and could put a bid in for the former Blue lunatic. Lets hope so. (21/07/06)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Celtic

46. Delron Buckley

Acording to Del's agent, Everton wanted to sign him but couldn't afford him as some proposed outgoing transfers from Everton (Carsley) didn't materialise.

Del's agent says: "David Moyes was happy with Delron. He called me to say that it all depended on two transfers taking place. But those moves never happened, meaning from a business point of view, Everton could not afford him." (22/08/06)

While Moyesy makes a decision Delron has began training with Sheffield Utd.

Del's agent says: "Delroy is training with Sheffield for a few days. It might be an option for him, but Everton have still not made a decision. We will have to see how things progress this week."(08/08/06)

Moyesy is to decide whether or not to keep trialist Delron Buckley on this season. The Borussia Dortmund player has returned to Germany, and Charlton and Bolton are also watching the situation, if Everton decide not to take up the option of a season long loan. Buckley has made four appearances for the Blues this pre season, so Moyesy has had ample oppurtunity to see him in match action

Moyesy says: "We had an agreement with Dortmund that Delron would go back a day early and we will now have a look at it. We are quite interested in what we have seen. We just need to consider if it is something we want at this time. " (01/08/06)

Del(to his mates) is a 28-year-old left winger. Things never quite worked out at Borussia Dortmund, were he played last season. The South African winger is to have a weeks trial. His agent is talking a good game.

Rob Moore says: "He is spending the next week at Everton with a view to a deal being done. This is a great opportunity for Delron, he wants a fresh challenge and the English game will suit him. He likes to play a quick style and that is what The Premiership is all about." (17/07/06)

Blue Kipper says:

45. Carlos Edwards

The 28 year old Trinidad & Tobago full back had an outstanding World Cup. He is comfortable on the ball in midfield or at full back and is like shit off a shovel when he motors down the right flank. Played really well against England. He is currently at Luton after playing a five seasons at Wrexham, winning the player of the year. He has 54 caps. Moyesy has plenty of cover at left back, but not much for Tony Hibbert at right back. Maybe worth a go.

Carlos says: "It's very gratifying to hear that clubs in the Premiership are tracking my progress. If you play well when people are watching, their interest will grow, but I'm not getting carried away by the rumours, because I'm contracted to Luton for three years. If a bid comes in and the club accept it, it's a different story and we will talk about it, but at the moment I'm happy playing for Luton." (28/06/06)

Blue Kipper says:

44. Hamed Namouchi

Ham (to his mates) played all 3 group games for Tunisia in the World Cup. Only 22, the midfield player is currently at Rangers. With a new manager, Paul Le Guen coming in at Rangers, his agent is doing what all agents do, he's hedging his bets.

Teni Yerima says: "There are a couple of English clubs who are very interested in Hamed. Everton like him a lot and they had him watched at the World Cup, while Birmingham City are also very keen on the player. It is all down to Rangers and whether or not they would be prepared to sell him. Hamed knows Rangers are a big club and have appointed a very good coach and is certainly not in a hurry to leave the club." (28/06/06)

Blue Kipper says:

43. David Thompson

After being released by Wigan, Thomo is looking for a club. As an Evertonian born in Birkenhead, he would jump at the chance to play for Everton. He won't cost anything, but has suffered injuries, which caused Wigan to release him after just 7 games last season. Moyesy may be interested nearer to the start of the season, as he looks for a few more players to add to the squad. (22/06/06)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Portsmouth

42. Joey Barton

According to reports from Manchester today, Everton have joined the Skunks and Monaco in expressing an interest in Man City's errant midfielder Joey Barton. Scouser Barton has only one year left on his City contract, and the Sky Blues may well cash in on him. Barton famously last season threw in a transfer request that he later retracted after City had stood by him after a string of highly publicised personal problems. (19/06/06)

Blue Kipper says:

41. Brett Emerton

Moyesy have denied that Brett will be coming to Everton, following more reports of Everton looking to sign Brett. Blackburn want him to stay, but he wants to start more games and thinks he may get that away from Ewood Park.

Moyesy says: "That's completely untrue." (03/07/06)

Had a decent world cup. Spoiled by his sending off by Graham Poll in the game against Croatia for two yellows or was it three. (28/06/06)

Everton are rumoured to be interesting Blackburn's Australian international midfielder Brett Emerton. Tim Cahill is said to have given Emerton a great write up on Everton at the World Cup, as he wants regular first-team football. (17/06/06)

Blue Kipper says:

40. Franny Jeffers

Coventry manager, Mickey Adams is furious with Jeffers, because the jugeared one agreed to join Coventry and even had a medical, but then joined Rovers. (04/07/06)

Mark Hughes has signed the FA Cup on a free transfer. (03/07/06)

Noises from Everton say big ears won't be doing his FA Cup impressions at Goodison Park. Thank Fuck for that. But what a waste of talent. (28/06/06)

Oh dear, oh dear. Soccer nomad Franny Jeffers, you know the one of 'grass is greener on the other side', fame has put out the begging bowl to say he would love to play for Everton. Funny that thought he once did, oh ye, he wanted bigger and better things, well anyway. Now after Charlton have discarded him, he still holds out hope of returning to the Blues after finding himself with no club to play for.

Franny says: "I had a well publicised fall-out with Moyes but that was just down to my sheer determination to get into that team and desire to get back playing for Everton. It's happening every day in football clubs, lads getting disappointed and saying things they shouldn't have and that's what happened with me. When I left Everton to go back to Arsenal me and David were on good terms. We shook hands and said maybe one day our paths could cross again. Who knows? I'd love to go back there, I've seen they've just signed Andy Johnson so who knows?" (01/06/06)

Blue Kipper says: No Kippers

Signed For Blackburn

39. Carlton Cole

Carl (to his mates) looks like he could be on the move. A year long loan deal is on the cards.

Mourinho says: "Carlton is one of the players we are open for negotiations. I am not saying I do not want him here; that is not true. I'm not saying I want to push him away from Chelsea because it is not true. But I am saying that with his opportunities are not very good here. He is at an age where he needs to play football and we will try to find a good solution for him - either on loan or by selling him.” (23/05/06)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For West Ham

38. Robert Huth

Rob has only featured in the one game in the World Cup and it looks as though he will be on the bench for the rest of the tournie, unless there is an injury. Just like his Chelsea career. (28/06/06)

Big Rob looks to be heading for Boro after they agreed an undisclosed fee with Chelsea. (07/06/06)

Rumours have it that Rob will be signing for the Toffeemen before the World Cup starts. The fee could be over £5m. (29/05/06)

Man mountain Rob(to his mates) wants regular 1st team football and after only playing in 13 games last season, he's looking for another club.

Rob says: "The only thing I know is that I'm not satisfied. If you are only a reserve player all the time, then the season is much more difficult than if you are always in the team - both physically and mentally. You train and train, only to be continually told that you are not in the starting line-up. You reach a certain point when you can't take any more." (22/05/06)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Boro

37. Collins John

The Fulham striker with the back to front name is reported to be one of the strikers Moyesy will look at if he doesn't get AJ. The 20 year old Dutch International scored 11 goals in 35 appearances last season, but a lot whereas polaris. So better than any of our strikers and for Fulham. (20/05/06)

Blue Kipper says:

36. Benni McCarthy

With Shandy Andy saying he may go back to Porto, there is a possibility that Everton and Porto will look at a swap deal with Benni. (12/06/06)

Benni was due to sign for Everton at the beginning of the 2004/05 season, but as usual with Everton it never came off. That time though it was the Porto board who pulled the plug. McCarthy who is now 28 was watched last Sunday by Moyesy while playing in a 1-0 in the Portuguese cup final. Benni is a cheaper option than AJ, as he will cost £3m -£4m. Portsmouth are also sniffing around.

Moyesy says: "Yes it is the truth, I was there."

Benni says: "Everyone knows that I have wanted to play in England. I know that one day I will play in the Premier League. I am certain of that." (17/05/06)

Blue Kipper says:

Benni Nearly Joins Everton

Signed For Blackburn

35. Luigi Pieroni

Lou says: "Everton wanted me. We had talks but there has been nothing concrete. We will see about that in time. I am in no hurry. I am preparing for a new season with Auxerre, and I have two years remaining on my contract. I have not closed the door in case of an attractive proposition but that doesn't mean I will leave Auxerre, I am fine here." (22/07/06)

Lou has admitted that he would be interested by a possible move to England. His agent Eric Depireux thinks Everton will be a great move.

Lou says: "As a player with Italian roots, I dream mainly about Serie A. But England, which has an attacking style, suits me. Of course it's a physical league, but you get kicks everywhere."

Eric says: "I believe something will happen before the break. Auxerre won't block their players, surely not as they will do good business. Pieroni didn't cost them much. Everton would fit in with his development, Luigi is made for England. He is tall, strong, has a good header, loves playing in space and can score goals." (17/05/06)

One thing is certain this Summer, Moyesy needs to land a striker or two. With Andy Johnson's proposed move not looking cut and dried, sources say that he is looking at Auxerre striker Luigi Pieroni. We are told that a scouting team was dispatched to run the rule over him, at his final game of the season. The Belgian striker hit the net 12 times this term, but impressed for his previous club, Mouscron, scoring 28 goals in 30 appearances in 2003/4. Lou (to his mates) would love a stab in the Premiership, but one thing is for sure, Auxerre will not let him go on the cheap. (16/05/06)

Blue Kipper says:

34. Kevin Nolan

Reports in today's Sunday rags suggest that Moyesy is trailing notloB's free scoring midfielder Kevin Nolan. Nolan is a Scouser, but unfortunately he originates from the dark side of Stanley Park, but there is no denying his talents in the midfield.

The player has apparently been spotted at Bellefield, alongside Thierry Henry, Raul and Lee Trundle. £3m we are told, and Kevin is ours, watch this space as they say. (07/05/06)

Blue Kipper says:

33. Zoltan Gera

With West Brom relegated, reports say that the Hungarian International captain will be moving on. Zol (to his mates) has only started 13 games this season, scoring one goal.

Zol says: "I've heard that a few clubs have been linked with me, but I don't want to react to these rumours. I have got used to the fact that you hear different information every day and most are far from reality. I had a similar period last year when everyone was guessing about a possible transfer, but I knew I'd stay. I am an employee of West Bromwich Albion, I've got a contract and because of this the only thing that matters is what my club say and want to do. So I ask everybody not to expect any comments from me about these rumours." (01/05/06)

Blue Kipper says:

32. Owen Garvan

Ow (to his mates) is an 18 year old six footer who plays in central midfield for Ipswich. A good passer with a neat touch. Has played for all ages for the Republic of Ireland. A big midfield player in Everton's team, now there's a change. (29/05/04)

Blue Kipper says:

31. Chris Kirkland

Now that West Brom are on the way to the Premiership, the injury prone keeper will have to go back to the shite, but he doesn't want to and it seems they don't want him. He wants a Premiership club. We want a goalie. Bingo. (28/04/06)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Wigan

30. Billy Jones

Bill (to his mates), the 19-year-old striker is Crewe's top goalscorer this season with 8 goals. Already an England U17's International. West Brom are said to fancy him aswell.

Crewe boss Dario Gradi says: "I don't know if there's any truth to the rumours. But if they've got any sense they'll all be looking at him." (25/04/06)

Blue Kipper says:

29. Laurent Agouazzi

The 22-year-old midfielder Agouazzi is one of the Metz's hottest properties. But they seem certain to slip out of Ligue 1 at the end of the season. Everton scouts have watched him and are impressed. Southampton are rumoured to be interested in Laurie (to his mates). (23/04/06)

Blue Kipper says:

28. Cameron Jerome

Moyesy was in Cardiff on Friday, as the Sky camera's picked him up at the Cardiff, Sheffield United match, were it is believed he was running the eye over Cardiff's striker Cameron Jerome. The 19-year-old has scored 20 goals this season, and a host of clubs are said to be watching his progress.

Ex Blues Player Dave Jones says: We might have to sell people to bring in more. That's what we had to do last year. There were certain players we didn't want to let go, but to survive as a football club you've got to do that." (17/04/06)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Birmingham

27. Francileudo Santos

Moyesy has had good reports from Joey Yobo about Franny (to his mates). He impressed in the African Cup of Nations earlier in the year, scoring 4 four goals for Tunisia. The 27 year old striker is ready to leave Toulouse, as he has only played 13 games this season scoring just 3 times. (12/04/06)

Blue Kipper says:

26. Lomana Tresor Lua Lua

Some reports in the Sunday papers are linking Louie (to his mates) to a move to Goodison if Portsmouth go down. The 25 year old has scored 6 goals from 24 games at Pompey this season. (09/04/06)

Blue Kipper says:

25. Paul Dickov

Dickov has rejected the offer of a new contract and Man City are hopeful of signing him. (19/05/06)

Mark Hughes wants Dickov to stay at Blackburn.

Mark Hughes says: "We're going to offer him a new contract. He is really important for us, and we've very hopeful of getting him signed up and resolved. The advantage we have is that he knows what we can offer, and what environment he will be having on a day-to-day basis, and it's something we hope will sway him to stay. Obviously, there will be a number of meetings before anything is signed, but we are hopeful they will go well." (29/04/06)

Dickov's contract ends with Blackburn this season, which the media has transferred into he must be on the way to Everton or Shittah. The fiery Scott is 33 and Walter's not manager anymore. (09/04/06)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Man Shittteeehhh

24. Dario Simic

Never did much at the World Cup, except get sent off. (28/06/06)

Dario has only been involved in 15 games for Milan this season and the 30 year old Croation International defender could be on the move. As we seem to be the home of old defenders, the media think Dario fits the bill.

Simic says: "I want to leave AC Milan, Carlo Ancelotti has disappointed me." (08/04/06)

Blue Kipper says:

23. Gary McSheffrey

McSheffrey, who is 23, has scored 16 goals in 44 appearances for Coventry this season. He plays alongside the main striker, but can play out wide. (08/04/06)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Birmingham

22. Bobby Zamora

Moyesy's interest in West Ham's Bobby Zamora has been re ignited again, after the forward had his nose put out of joint with the arrival of Dean Ashton to Upton Park. Bobby, or Nobby to his mates (he is the longest in the showers, time wise I mean) would be keen to move to a much bigger club, and with Everton desperate for a striker this Summer, the free scoring forward from his time at Brighton could fit he bill.

A little known fact about Nobby that could sway his decision, is that he is a huge fan of Latchford, sorry not the player I meant the suburb of Warrington. Ok, that was terrible, I am off for my pills, and my counseling session. (05/04/06)

Blue Kipper says:

21. Scott Spencer

Everton's new wonder kid (lets not build him up eh), will not be rushed into action according to Everton's Academy Boss Ray Hall. Ray who also appears with The Grumbleweeds in the Summer season was quick to point out, that Scott is only 17, and will serve his apprenticeship probably with the rezzies.

Ray says: "Depending on his development I can see him moving quickly into our reserve squad, but that will be for Andy Holden to decide. Obviously he is the equivalent of a second year academy player so he is available for our under 18 academy side and also our youth side.

He is a good goalscorer. You hear some so-called experts say ‘what else does he do’, but that will do for us for a start. He loves scoring; he is quick – he is not a Theo Walcott but he is quick over four or five yards, where it matters. He has got a slight physique that we think physically we can build on. So the hardware is there and we can add the software. He has a natural instinct for scoring. You see it in defenders as well - those players who have an instinct for always being in the right position. Some defenders have a habit of getting in the way of the ball; shots go in and you wonder where they have come from. It’s a good habit to have if you are a front player – to score every week, and one that we would like more and more of." (21/05/06)

Scott Spencer today signed in at Goodison for an undisclosed fee. The 17yr old striker put pen to paper this morning, signing from Oldham. The six foot striker is delighted with his move to the Blues, and can't wait to meet up with his new team mates.

Scott says: "I am ecstatic. It is a dream come true getting my first professional contract. No disrespect to Oldham but this is a great move. It is a step up. I have developed a lot in the last 18 months. My pace has helped. I scored 29 goals last season but I didn't really get near the first team. My long-term target is to get into the first team here. I like running at defenders but I have been doing a lot of work on improving in the air as well." (12/05/06)

As reported the other week on bluekipper, Everton's interest in Oldhams' wonder kid Scott Spencer has been confirmed, with the Lancashire club saying an approach has been made. Talks are believed to be at an advanced stage and a down payment of £225,000 has been mentioned, but this could rise significantly in the future.

Oldham chief executive Alan Hardy says: "A deal has been agreed in principle with Everton. It's now down to a medical and whether the boy wants to move." (19/04/06)

Oldham Athletic moved quick today to dismiss rumours that Everton were to table a bid for their free scoring 18 yr old Scott Spencer. Spencer who is banging them in for the clubs youth side is attracting interest at the highest level, but Oldham will be loathed to let him go. I remember we once dismissed rumours about a certain Wayne fella'.

Oldham's Chief Exec, Alan Hardy says: "There has been some suggestion recently that Everton were about to make a sizeable offer for Scott but the truth is that we have not received anything formally from them.

"It is fair to say that a lot of Premiership clubs are showing great interest in Scott but we don't really want to let the youngster go, particularly as he certainly has an eye for goal. We hope he can continue to develop here at Boundary Park." (04/04/06)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Everton (Undisclosed Fee)

20. Craig Gordon

The current Scottish keeper with 14 caps has made it known he would like to play in The Premiership. The 23 year old, who has been instrumental in Hearts getting to the top of the Scottish Premier is dissatisfied with the uncertainty at the club.

Gordo says: "As far as the contract goes, there is not a lot happening at the moment. We have talked in the past, but there has been nothing recently. There are a lot of things to consider. For one, no-one really knows what is going to happen at Hearts. The managerial situation is unclear, and there are lots of other things that we don't know about the club and its future. I would like to have a crack at Serie A or the Premiership - if that sort of opportunity comes along you really can't turn it down." (26/03/06)

Blue Kipper says:

19. Andy Johnson

Andy Johnson was today unveiled at Goodison in front of the press. Hundreds of fans turned up to see the new Everton hit man, and if his play are as good as his words, he will not disappoint. England let their standby by striker be whisked from Manchester to Liverpool, were he was officially unveiled in his new Blue strip. Andy pointed out to the press what all Blues fans know anyway, that he joined one of the biggest clubs in the country, and the prospect of playing in front of 40,000 every week, was to good an opportunity to turn down.

Andy says: "I am delighted to join the club. They are one of the biggest in the country and the prospect of playing in front of 40,000 fans week-in, week-out was huge. I had a good chat with David Moyes and he told me how the club was progressing forward and that impressed me."

Moyesy says: "It is a big signing. He is a proven goalscorer and when I heard he wanted to come to us, I pushed the board even harder. They have always been there to back me up (the Board) and I thank them for that."

Bully Beef says: "We are delighted that we are breaking our transfer record again and thrilled to be welcoming Andrew to Goodison Park." (31/05/06)

After all the ifs, but's and maybe's, Andy Johnson is now officially an Everton player. Andy today passed his medical and signed on the dotted line with his £8.6m transfer from Crystal Palace. The deal was finalised at Manchester's Lowry Hotel, as Andy is on England duty, currently waiting on the stand by list, to see if he makes the plane to Germany. He has signed on till the Summer of 2011, and the pleasing thing for all Blues fans, is that Everton is the only club the striker wanted to join. Welcome aboard Andy, its great to have you.

Andy says: "I am looking forward to giving 110 per cent in every game I play in and hopefully I can score goals for Everton." (30/05/06)

Andy has chosen Everton before Wigan and Bolton. He will have his medical and sign a five year deal this week. Fandabbydosey news. Well done Andy, you won't regret it

Andy says: "After several days of careful consideration, I have decided that my footballing future lies at Goodison Park with Everton. I find the prospect of playing for one of the biggest names in British football impossible to resist and I am now just hopeful that I can swiftly complete my medical so that I can sign on the dotted line and commit myself to the club.

"Whilst I do believe that Everton will afford me the best opportunity to fulfil my twin ambitions of winning major honours and again representing England at senior level, the last few days have been both hectic and demanding.

"I would like to thank both Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers firstly for having sufficient faith in my abilities to lodge a bid and secondly for being so courteous and professional during the course of our negotiations. I was very flattered by the interest of both clubs.

"I would also like to thank everyone at Crystal Palace - especially Iain Dowie and the fans - for their support and dedication during my time at Selhurst Park. In many ways I am sorry to be leaving but I wish them well for the future." (29/05/06)

Everton have had a £8.5m bid accepted by Palace and have given permission for Andy to talk to Moyesy about joining the Toffeemen. Good news me thinks.(26/05/06)

We might have offered £8.5m but I don't really don't know. If we have we will offer Palace £1m up front another 2 mill when we win the FA Cup next season, another 2 mill when Andy scores more goals for England than Bobby Charlton and the rest when I stay sober for at least 2 weeks. (26/05/06)

Notlob have had an £8.5m bid accepted by Palace. Now AJ will talk to Paul Jewell tomorrow morning and then Big Sam in the afternoon, while Moyesy will be washing his hair. (25/05/06)

Everton want AJ. AJ wants to go to Everton. What's the problem? Money that's the problem. On a day when Everton's CEO is talking bollocks about how much money Everton will have to bring the top players to Goodison, we are being beaten into 3rd place by Wigan and Bolton. Not Chelsea or Man Utd. Everton are playing a very dangerous game here. Hoping that AJ will hold out for his move to Everton. We are sure Simon Jordan will have a say about that. These two small Lancashire clubs are pushing the boat out to try and get their clubs into Europe next season, while the mighty Everton of the big five fame, sit and hope for a miracle.

Jordan says: "Wigan are in the box seat. Everton and Bolton are very keen to have the player's services, but they need to get a move on." (24/05/06)

According to Palace chairman, Simon Jordon AJ could be a Premiership player by the end of the week. Although he would not name the club. So it's Bolton or Wigan then!

Jordon says: "I'm close to agreeing a fee. One club is very close to matching our valuation and a deal could be sorted out on Wednesday. Whether Andy Johnson would go there is another matter, however." (23/05/06)

Crystal Palace have confirmed that they have rejected a £8m bid from Bolton. It is believed but not yet confirmed that Palace also rejected smaller bids from Everton and Wigan. AJ was allowed to miss training with the World Cup squad today. No reason was given. (22/05/06)

A reported £6m bid from Bolton has set off a bidding war, with moneybags Dave Whelan from Wigan (doesn't he own JJB Sports who forced Everton to close all the Megastore's bar the one at Goodison) joining the game. It's a question of whether AJ will hold out for his move to Goodison or his chairman, Simon Jordan just gets the biggest bid. (19/05/06)

Things change daily in this funny old world of football transfers. Reports say Bolton and Spurs may have the £6m that the Palace chairman wants before letting AJ go back into the Premiership. AJ still favours a move to Everton, but if we can't afford what his chairman wants, Moyesy may have to look elsewhere. (17/05/06)

Ian Dowie sounded like a beaten man, when he tried to talk down the possibility of Everton landing AJ for £6m. Andy has already said privately that he wants to join Everton in the Premiership next season. He threw his boots into the crowd at the end of last nights play-off defeat with palace.

Ian Dowie says: "We want to keep AJ, and we will see if that is possible. I'm not in possession of any facts which suggest that there is an offer on the table for AJ, so at the moment we're talking about speculation. He clapped the fans and they cheered him back, but I don't think there is anything in that. Thierry Henry kissed the pitch at Highbury, but that's just what happens sometimes. I am as confident of keeping AJ as I was this time last year, but I'm always confident. I don't know whether that's always the right way to be." (10/05/06)

Although Andy has said publicly that he would stay at Palace, privately it has been reported that he has let slip that he would have signed for Everton at the beginning of this season, but the Palace Chairman wouldn't do a deal. Don't be surprised if AJ joins Biffa up front for Everton next season. (10/04/06)

Reports say Andy is Moyesy's prime target for a striker in the Summer. Even though he has been out of action for two months of the season through injury, Andy, the striker with pace, has scored 14th in 29 appearances for Palace in The Championship, but he has still been left out of the England squads this season may need regular Premiership football to achieve his international ambitions. He scored 21 goals last season, which was the best total for an English player in the Premiership despite Palace's relegation.

Andy says: "I'm happy at Palace. There is a great bunch of players, and I would be more than happy to stay." (16/03/06)

18. John O'Shea

One doing the rounds is manure's centre half John O'Shea apparently interesting Moyesy this Summer. With old father time eventually catching up with Davey and Stubbsey, the return to Italy of Matteo, Moyesy will no doubt be short in the central defence department. O'Shea is competing against Rio and Wes Brown for a berth in United's set up, and may be keen to join his old team mate Phil Neville who only speaks highly of the Blues.

The Irish International can play in a host of position's, at the back, and also in the middle of the park. With monies still owing on the Rooney sale, you never know what creative accounting the number crunchers at both clubs can come up with. (13/03/06)

17. Steed Malbranque

No truth in the rumours says the manager of the People's Club. Moyesy says: "I've seen the stories, but there's no truth in them." (22/08/06)

Rumours circulating over the weekend give the impression that Steed Malbranque may at last be on his way to Goodison. The Frenchman has turned down Fulham's contract offer, and Moyesy is believed to be monitoring the situation. The Gaffer has already said new faces will still come in before the deadline, and he has been an admirer of the Fulham attacking midfielder for a long time now. Steed has a year left on his current deal, and with Al Fayed's millions behind him, Fulham boss Chris Coleman may have the fortune to let Malbranque sit his time out in the rezzies, before he leaves on a free next season. He may decide however to cash in on him now, and Moyesy will be waiting to pounce on a cut price deal

Coleman says: "We've agreed fees with other clubs but he doesn't want to move. He wants to see his contract out so he can move on for nothing next summer. I've told Steed to his face, he won't play for Fulham even if he's fit." (21/08/06)

Boro are believed to be on the verge of bidding around £5m for the Fulham man. (28/06/06)

Steed is available.

A Fulham spokesman says: "Steed has been offered the most significant financial package in Fulham's history to extend his stay beyond next summer. Unfortunately Steed has indicated no offer would be acceptable as he wants to leave next year on a free transfer. This would be unacceptable to the club so we will listen to offers for him." (19/05/06)

The best of a bad bunch on Saturday, Steed (great name) would be willing to move to Goodison in the Summer. The french forward has always scored a few goals in the Premiership. (13/03/06)

16. Diego Forlan

Some reports say that even though he's still enjoying playing in the Champions league with Villarreal, the former manure still wants to prove himself in the Premiership. £7m is the price, so he'll come to Everton. (12/03/06)

15. Mark Schwarzer

Played well in the World Cup. He was inexplicably dropped for some big galoot, and was promptly reinstated. (28/06/06)

Skippy (to his mates) shocked Boro with a transfer request before the January window closed and was put in the rezzies. He is now best mates with Boro again and in the side. After the world cup who knows? (12/03/06)

14. Joleon Lescott

Roger finally put pen to paper today, when he signed a 4 year deal in front of Moyesy. The 23 year old is an Everton player after he signed for an undisclosed fee believed to be £2m down payment, £2m in installments and £1m depending on appearances. (14/06/06)

The deal should be sealed today, as Roger is back from holiday and Moyesy is back from his World Cup spying mission. It looks like the deal has been revised. With Everton giving Wolves a reduced initial payment and then subsequent staggered payments depending on appearances. What's that about something comes to those who wait. Boy have we waited. (14/06/06)

Roger should complete his move to Everton tomorrow when he returns from holiday. Everton will make an initial down payment, with further payments to be made on an appearance related basis. We'll see! (12/06/06)

Still no word from Everton, but Wolves think the deal will be sorted in a day or two.

Jez Moxey, Wolves CEO Says: "We are into the final details of the deal. I have been confident of this transfer being completed throughout and I'm optimistic it could be finalised in the next day or two." (07/06/06)

Still no comment from Everton as to why the move for Wolves Joleon Lescott has stalled. He has passed his medical, so Wolves tell us, he has agreed terms so Wolves tell us, so why as yet hasn't he signed. After the euphoria of Andy Johnson's signing, it looks like Everton are doing again what they do best, telling us jack shit. If he is injured, tell us, if he is asking too much till tell us, but just get a move on one way or another fella's.

Jez Moxey, Wolves CEO Says: "The ball is now in Everton's court. Their medical team first saw Joleon on Thursday and then again on Friday. It is now Monday and transfers normally happen quicker than this. But Everton have informed us they want more time and we have to respect that." (05/06/06)

The silence is deafening, as Everton still say nothing over the proposed transfer of Roger. Apparently an extra set of X-rays were commissioned by Everton on Lescott's knee on Friday and that held up the deal on Friday.

Wolves claim that they proved satisfactory and Roger should sign this week. Wolves also stress there have been no further discussions over the size of the fee, pointing out that the absence of Everton manager David Moyes in Scotland is the only factor holding things up.

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey says: "There is no suggestion that Everton have tried to beat us down over this. We expect Joleon's move to go through early this week, for the fee that was agreed. David Moyes is away on a coaching course and we will finalise things when he returns." (05/06/06)

Wolves are saying Roger has passed his medical, but Everton haven't said anything. Some reports say Roger has a problem with his knee. Moyesy still wants to go ahead with the deal, as Roger played a full season last season without any problem with it. It stems from a bad knee injury which caused him to miss the whole of season 2003-2004. Everton are hoping that a reduced fee plus later payments based on appearances will be acceptable.

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey says: "The fee was agreed last week but, as ever, these things are never straight-forward. The devil is in the detail and discussions with Everton are ongoing. Joleon played in every game for Wolves last season and, as we expected, he has passed his medical and is fit to play." (03/06/06)

It looks like Moyesy, Blue Bill, and Bully Beef are planning to have a trouble free Summer enjoying the sunshine somewhere. After completing the signing of Andy Johnson yesterday, the Blues have today announced that Wolves centre half, Joleon Lescott has agreed to join Everton depending on the results of his medical. Unbelievable, what the hell I am going to talk about this Summer, who am I going to slag off. Three players in, three of quality, and we have to say now, that Blue Bill has not been involved in any Bank raid to raise the cash for this weeks sortie's into the transfer market.

Bully Beef says: "We have now concluded our discussions with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Joleon has been given permission by his club to open talks with us and he will undergo a medical." (01/06/06)

Recently voted into the PFA Coca-Cola Championship Team of the Year. A cultured and composed centre half, Jolly (to his mates) had a bad knee injury and missed the whole of season 2003-2004, but has been an ever-present for Wolves this season. With Wolves looking for cash, and Jolley only 24 years old. It looks like a deal could be done. (03/05/06)

Everton have joined a merry band of clubs tracking the progress of Wolves' promising left sided centre half Joleon Lescott. Joleon, or Roger (to his mates) still has two and a half years left on his existing contract with the Midlanders, but noises have been made, that a bid in the region of £2.5m will prize away the 23yr old defender.

Moyesy is keen, and travelled to the Midlands to watch Roger in action on Tuesday night. Well you don't think he was looking at Paul 'Guvnor my arse' Ince do ye !! (09/03/06)

13. Eddie Johnson

Ed played a couple of times for the USA, but never scored a goal in the World Cup. (28/06/06)

Keep your eye on Ed (to his mates) when he plays for USA in this Summer's World Cup, as he could end up at Everton. The 21 year old forward has been banging the goals in and our sources in the States believe Everton have been in contact. (02/03/06)

12. Liam Lawrence

Scored 19 in 40 games for Mansfield a couple of seasons ago. This got him transferred to Sunderland. He got 7 from 32 games last season, but has struggled this season and only got 3 in 24 games in the Premiership. Mind you that strike rate for a midfielder would put him right up there if he played for Everton. (01/03/06)

11. Steve Sidwell

Ste has turned down a new contract from Reading. Everton are among a shiteful of clubs who are said to be ready to offer £1m. (06/07/06)

Midfielder, Ste(to his mates) has been a dominant force in Reading's push for promotion to the Premiership this season. Moyesy could make a move in the Summer. (26/02/06)

10. Jimmy Bullard

Jimbo will be joining Fulham in a £2.5m deal at the end of the season, as the Londoner wants to move back to the smoke.

Manager Jewell says: "We're getting ten times what we paid for him. Jimmy's been fantastic for us, he's not missed a game, he's a great lad but once someone says he wants to leave and there's a clause in his contract, what can we do?" (29/04/06)

Jimbo (to his mates) is the skinny legged midfielder from Wigan who was highlighted looking at Big Dunc when the big man was sent off at the JJB earlier this season. Jimbo's face was a picture. Jewell won't be happy with his goalscoring midfielder wanting away if the opportunity comes along.

Jimmy says: "If a club comes in with a certain figure - I'm not sure what it is - then I'll be free to talk with them. If it happens then I'd want to sit down with them. That's obvious. I signed a new contract in the summer. There was a lot of talk about Everton and Birmingham being interested but nothing happened so I signed for Wigan. Who knows that might happen? I'm ambitious and when you watch Arsenal beating Real Madrid in Spain you say 'I want some of that'." (26/02/06)

9. Josh Wolff

JW came on as a sub in the World Cup for USA, but although he was fast, he didn't seem to have what it takes for the Premiership. (27/06/06)

The American striker has been making noises and hoping Moyesy will hear him.

JW says: "I was able to train with Everton and it went pretty well. It was good for me to be a part of it and I think it showed it was a place I could play." (13/02/06)

JW (pronounced like the hick talks in the VW advert) is training with Everton. He has joined the squad at Bellefield straight from the Scotland game, where the 28 year old USA striker scored a penalty last week. If he impresses he may join Everton in January for a couple of months ala Brian McBride. Then he'll join Fulham and score the winner against us.

JW(to his mates) has played for his National team for over 5 years, including the 2002 World Cup. He is keen to play in the Premiership. Has played for Chicago Fire and now Kansas City Wizards. He has scored plenty of goals in the USA and scored 8 in 38 Internationals, but untried at this level.

Josh says: "Europe is always an exciting option. The MLS has been good to me, and I think, in turn, I've been good for the league when healthy. I do hope to get over to Europe, my contract comes up on it's option next year so that will be an important time." (16/11/05)

8. Brian McBride

Bake had a good world cup, but all he got to show for it was a couple of stitches given to him by the Italian elbow belonging to coward De Rossi. (28/06/06)

Reports say Moyesy may go back and try and bring Everton old boy, Bake (to his mates) to Goodison again. (13/02/06)

7. Peter Lovenkrands

With a new manager in at Rangers in the Summer, Pet (to his mates) may be looking to move on. (13/02/06)

Pet says: "I hope people will have been watching me recently, and my form might give me more options. I turned down a contract here in the summer. But at that point, I didn't know what was going to happen. It was nothing to do with the standard of contract. Few clubs are as big as Rangers - but I'd be interested in all offers." (17/01/09)

Blue Kipper says:

6. Fatih Tekke

According to the Turkish media, Everton have made a bid of 5m Euro for Fatty. They go on to say that they expect Fenerbahce to come in with a 7.5m Euro bid to take him from Trabzonspor and keep him in Turkey. (22/05/06)

Everton tried to rush a signing through on the last day of the transfer window in January, but it never happened. A Summer move maybe possible. (13/02/06)

Fatty's agent is making noises about an eleventh hour bid from the Blues. A fee in the region of £3.5m is being bandied about for the Turkish forward. Apparently behind the scenes discussions are going on as we speak, and if there is any truth in the rumour, all parties will have to get their fingers out before the midnight deadline once again comes and goes for the rest of the season.

Ceylan Caliskan ( Tekke's Agent) says: "It is going to be hard with the deadline coming. But we are now meeting with Trabzonspor and will see what happens." (31/01/06)

Everton and Wigan bid for him in the Summer, but the £2m bid was too small. Fatty (to his mates) was Trabzonspor's top scorer last season with 31 goals in 34 games. Wigan have now pulled out of the race, l
