With most of the squad signing long contracts, there maybe little movement out in the Summer of 2008. We will be monitoring the facts, our inside info and the rumours about players who may be leaving Everton. We will be giving kippers out of 5. The more kippers the more likely we think the transfer will happen. If there are rumours you have heard let bluekipper.com know. info@bluekipper.com

Fishy Out January 2008      Fishy In Summer 2008

9. Leighton Baines

Sunderland are after a left back, so Bainsey's name has been thrown in the hat. Leighton had the chance to join the black cats, but chose The Toffees 12 months ago. (12/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

8. Nuno Valente

It looks like Nuno will get a new 1 year contract. Moyesy thinks the 33 year old's experience of Winning both the UEFA Cup and Champions League will be invaluable next season. (06/05/08)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed 1 Year Deal With Everton

7. Andy van der Meyde

Shandy could be heading to Red Bull Salzburg in Austria. The club is managed by Co Adriaanse, who was in charge of the Ajax youth set-up that the Dutchman graduated from and he also made him a first-team regular when he became manager of the Amsterdam club in 2000. We thought about telling you that Shandy will only need to get the vodka in as the club will provide the stuff to give him wings, but were not going down that road. (09/06/08)

Shandy has not played for the 1st team this season. Everton's number 7 is thought to want to return to Holland maybe to sit on the bench for Ajax. With his contract still having another season to go, Everton may loose money on the deal. (02/05/08)

Blue Kipper says:

6. Stefan Wessels

Moyesy has confirmed that Stef is to leave the club.

Moyesy says: "I would like to thank Stefan Wessels who, after today, will be leaving us. His level of professionalism has been a credit to him and he has been a great man to have around the club." (13/05/08)

Reports say Stefan maybe on his way back to Germany at a club were he can get a few games. He has only played 7 games as deputy for Tim Howard. (30/04/08)

Blue Kipper says:

5. Thomas Gravesen

After giving Tommy a 10 minute cameo performance against Newcastle, Moyesy confirmed that the crowd favourite will be heading out of Goodison Park.

Moyesy says: "Thomas Gravesen will depart following the completion of his season-long loan. He deserves thanks for both his spells here and we wish him well for the future." (13/05/08)

Although Tommy has been a hit on the training ground laughing and joking to keep the players spirits up, it's thought he's past his sell by date hence the lack of first team action. He will be back to Celtic or looking for a new club. (30/04/08)

Blue Kipper says:

4. Anthony Gardner

Tony has not kicked a ball for Everton's first team since his loan deal in January. It's a nap he'll be on his way back to Spurs at the end of the season. (28/04/08)

Blue Kipper says:

3. Andy Johnson

Fulham have announced that AJ has signed a 4 year deal for an undisclosed fee. Reports that the initial fee will be reduced from £10.5m to £9m, but will still rise to £13m with add on's if the player plays so many games. So get spending the money Bill. (07/08/08)

Fulham are still trying to sign AJ but for a smaller fee.

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson says: "I think the situation is still ongoing. The transfer negotiations are still going on as far as I know. I haven't spoken to the chief executive today so I can't tell you more than that. He's the one negotiating with Everton." (03/08/08)

The delay in Fulham parading AJ in front of the cameras with his new Cottagers shirt, couldn't be that he's had trouble with the medical, could it? Surely Fulham are not trying to reduce the price and add a few more add on's. Are they? Surely not! (31/07/08)

Everton have confirmed that AJ is off to Fulham. The fee is believed to be £10.5m, which could rise to £12m with add ons.

Everton spokesman says: "Everton can confirm that it has agreed an eight figure sum with Fulham for the services of Andrew Johnson. This is subject to the player agreeing personal terms and negotiating a medical." (28/07/07)

As the Everton squad settle in to the Chicago way of life, AJ is thought to be having a medical at Fulham, as his transfer darn sarf looks a certainty. Still no confirmation from Everton. (28/07/08)

It seems like AJ's fate is now sealed as he is reported to have stayed behind as the Blues fly out to the States to carry on their pre season preparations. After apparently jumping in a taxi from Deepdale on Tuesday night, and playing no part at all at Forest last night, AJ it seems will be twiddling his thumbs to Mr. Al Fayed comes up with the required loot to take him back darn sarf. (26/07/08)

Trying to collate all the quotes, rumours, reports, whispers and down right lies is a favorite pastime of the Evertonian during the Summer. We love and hate at the same time trying to second guess who we are going to sign or let go during the transfer window. This season's Andy Johnson saga has taken the biscuit. When you look back at the end of last season AJ himself was angry of reports of him leaving. He said: "It's absolute rubbish." (see below for full quote). The manager was equally forthright less than a month ago when he said: "Andy Johnson is not for sale - it is that simple." (see below for full quote). Most fans thought well that's it then. The papers are doing the usual and making things up because there's fuck all to report.

So how did we get to here today? Something has changed big time for the events of the last few days to have taken place. Again Evertonians will have to decide for themselves as there is nothing concrete coming forward. Last week AJ was in the team at Cambridge and a few nights ago he was seen entering Deepdale with the rest of the squad, but then he was seen leaving on his own still wearing his Everton trackie and jumping in a taxi to where ever. The papers have loved it. Headlines of "Moyes fury at AJ." suggesting the player refused to play as his head wasn't right. Followed by a back page exclusive claiming That Everton had accepted a bid from Fulham. Within minutes this was refuted by Everton's chief transfer wheeler and dealer Keith Wyness. Which only fuels the speculation and leaves the Evertonians muttering: "What the fuck's going on?" One thing we do know is the new kits on sale today. (24/07/08)

We think there's something fishy going on here. As yer ma says: "It'll all come out in the wash."

Everton C.E.O. Keith Wyness says: "Contrary to some media reports that have surfaced throughout the course of today, the club can confirm that no offer has been received nor has any deal been agreed for Andrew Johnson with Fulham Football Club." (23/07/08)

With AJ missing from the team that played Preston last night, fans were asking the question: "Is he off?" The media is full of the story that Fulham are close to sealing a £10.75m deal. (23/07/08)

Andy Johnson told Everton fans at the friendly against Cambridge that he wasn't going anywhere. Moyesy has said that the player was not for sale, but still the reports come along that he is due to move. This time it's Fulham who are supposed to be getting ready to bid over £10m for him. (21/07/08)

Everton have denied that any bid at all has been received from Wigan. Earlier today many media outlets run with the story.

It's been reported that Everton have rejected a £9m bid from Wigan for AJ. It remains to be seen if Everton won't sell at all or if Wigan up the bid to over £10m they may be tempted. Sunderland, West Ham and Fulham are said to watching what goes on. (17/07/08)

Andy Johnson sat on the bench for Everton as two youngsters were given preference over him in Everton's first friendly of the season in Switzerland yesterday. The match commentator on evertontv said "There is nothing sinister in it." Fulham are now thought to be ready to make a bid for AJ. (13/07/08)

According to reports in the North East, Sunderland have made a £10m bid for AJ. This is on top of reports that Steve Bruce will make a formal bid to take the striker to Wigan when Everton return from Switzerland. (12/07/08)

Despite being included in the official squad to go to Switzerland, various media outlets and mates of the groundsmen at Finch Farm have AJ signing for Wigan today. (08/07/08)

Moyesy has slammed all the reports that AJ is ready to be sold.

Moyesy says: "Andy Johnson is not for sale - it is that simple. He is a highly valued member of my senior squad and I look forward to seeing him when the players report back for pre-season training." (27/06/08)

Yet another club is said to be after the Everton striker. Reports say Sunderland have made a £10m bid for AJ. Roy Keane wants a striker to replace the injured Kenwyne Jones, who could be out for up to 9 months. (26/06/08)

Man City and Wigan are the latest to be looking at AJ. The Sunday papers were saying Moyesy has to sell to raise some cash and Andy may be the one to be sacrificed, even though the player has always said he wants to stay. (23/06/08)

More rumours flying around the papers that Andy will be subject to bids from Boro West Ham and Villa. We'll see! (09/06/08)

Reports that Andy maybe leaving the club have been rubbished by the player himself.

AJ says: "I have seen the story in the newspaper and it's absolute rubbish. I have recently signed a new deal at Everton, which I was delighted to do. Of course there is competition for striking places here but I wouldn't have it any other way and neither would the manager. Stories like this make me really angry and I can only promise the fans that I love being at Everton, I am fully prepared to fight for a place in the side like everyone else in the squad and that leaving the club has never even entered my head. We've had a great season and I look forward to helping this club progress even more in the next few years." (28/04/08)

Signed For Fulham

2. Mikel Arteta

With his agent doing what agents do best, talk shite and Mikky not playing to his high standards recently, some media outlets and supporters are putting 1+1 together and getting 3. Arteta himself has always said he is happy at Everton and recently signed a new contract until 2012. This week while back in Spain for treatment on his injured groin/stomach he has again reiterated he is happy at Everton and has no plans to leave.

Mikky says: "It is my fourth season here. I am not thinking of returning to Spain. I am very happy here and want to stay for more seasons. You are relaxed here. The journalists put you under less pressure than in Spain. Here it is different. Spaniards in England are very happy, because we can live our life." (15/04/08)

Blue Kipper says:

1. Lee Carsley

Now starting pre-season training with Birmingham City, Cars has praised Moyesy and sees many of Moyes' best traits in new boss Alex McLeish.

Lee says: “Moyes turned round Everton completely from being a club at the bottom of the league to a club in the Champions League. The job he’s done there is fantastic. Alex reminds me a lot of him in the way he speaks. He’s very single minded.” (03/07/08)

Harry Hill has decided to move to a club near his Midlands home instead of taking up another year at Everton after 6 years. Lee played 198 games for Everton and has been a constant member of the first team squad since Moyesy took over from Walter Smith. The Everton manager will now be looking to add a couple of midfield players to his squad.

Moyesy says: "I’d like to thank Lee Carsley for his years at Everton Football Club. He has undoubtedly been a big part in our success in the last few seasons. Lee feels he now needs to be closer to his family and everyone at the club fully appreciates that. We’d like to thank him he’s been a fantastic player on and off the field and he goes with my best wishes and we wish him all the best in the future." (19/05/08)

Everton are convinced Lee will sign a new contract.

Moyesy says: "Lee has told us he wants to sign a new contract here and we expect that to happen. He has been very reliable for us and we don't want to lose that. I want to keep that strong backbone at the club." (27/04/08)

If Paul Jewell has his way he would like to see Harry Hill back at Derby County this Summer. Harry whose contract expires in June of this year might be interested as a two year deal is being touted around and Moyesy may only be willing to offer our Irish midfielder only a one year deal. The lure of another crack though in the UEFA Cup may be enough to sway Harry into finishing his top flight career with the Blues.

Paul Jewell says: "It would be un-wise and unfair to comment on players from other teams." (23/04/08)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Birmingham
