95. Stephen Hunt

Everton never made a bid for Hunt according to the reading manager. Hunt would have loved to join Everton.

Steve Coppell says: "I spoke with David Moyes - I think it was Sunday - and he was just making a call regarding a number of players' situations. I explained the situation and never heard from him again. Nobody at this club heard from anyone else at Everton."

Hunt says: “I spoke to the manager (Steve Coppell), the director of football (Nick Hammond), the coaches. They were asking if I wanted to leave, and they knew my stance. I haven’t been a bad apple in the club over the last two or three years.

“I could have been, but I wasn’t. I have been ultra professional and probably deserve a little bit better from them. But then again, I understand where they are coming from. They wanted to keep hold of me. But to further my career, that would have been a good move. I suppose you could say I am a little bit wounded and a little bit disappointed, so that will re-focus me into doing well.

"Listen, if a club wanted me that badly, they would have paid the £5million, so I mustn't have been doing that well." (03/09/08)

Jesus I can't wait till midnight. I can have a blow, the kids can have the TV back and Moyesy and Blue Bill will have to live till January with their transfer decisions. Sky TV have reported that the Blues have had a £3.5m bid turned down for Reading loony Stephen Hunt, Petr Cech is said to be delighted that Hunty is staying in the Championship till at least January. (01/09/08)

94. Carlo Nash

Carlo has this evening signed for the Blues as our second choice keeper, yes you guessed it for an undisclosed fee. If your interested, Kevin Bond has been sacked from Bournemouth, Berbatov is having a medical at Manure, Man City fans are celebrating after technically becoming the richest club in the world, and Blue Bill is counting his penny bottle to see if we can capture someone from the Vauxhall Conference before midnight.

Carlo says: "I have known of Everton's interest for the last couple of weeks and there have been a few sleepless nights hoping it would go through. Finally it has and I am over the moon." (01/09/08)

Former Manchester City, Middlesbrough and Preston goalkeeper Carlo Nash is said to be joining the Blues in a deadline deal today. The third choice Wigan keeper is needed by Moyesy as cover for Tim Howard. No disrespect to Carlo, but I am getting quite depressed watching Sky Sports reporting on takeovers and last day record breaking deals and our news is around Carlo imminent arrival. (01/09/08)

Blue Kipper says:

93. Michael Theoklitos

With Moyes still looking for an experienced keeper as cover for Tim Howard, the 27 Melbourne Victory goalkeeper has been tipped by a few web sites to sign for Everton. He was voted as the best keeper in the Australian A-League in 2007. (01/09/08)

Blue Kipper says:

92. Henrik Larsson

Larsson has decided to stay in Sweden.

Larsson says: “I will not go anywhere. It has never been my intention.” (31/08/08)

Reports from Sweden say Everton have made a bid for 36 year old Henrik Larsson. Larsson's club Helsingborgs have stated they could be willing to let him leave. After a great career with Feynoord, Celtic, Barcelona and a cameo at Man Utd, he's been playing with his slipper's on for Helsingborgs. This is unbelievable if true that Henrik who will be 37 in 3 weeks time, will play for Everton.

Larsson says: "It is flattering that there is interest."

Larsson's agent Rob Jansen says: "It's up to Henrik to decide now. If he wants to join this club. He will make his decision during the weekend." (31/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

91. Victor Obinna

Bad news for Moyesy and Blue Bill after Victor's work permit was rejected today. Moyesy and his chairmen have spent the day in the smoke trying to obtain the Nigerians permit to work in Blighty but the hearing as ruled against the Blues and the unfortunate Nigerian. So its back to Milan and Jose for Victor, and its back to the drawing board for Blue Bill and Moyesy.

Ian Ross Everton's PR Guru says: "Chairman Bill Kenwright, Manager David Moyes and Club Secretary David Harrison all attended the hearing in London this morning and despite making a strong case the appeal was rejected on the basis that the player fell some way short of the required criteria (of international experience)." (01/09/08)

Everton are set for a meeting with Home office officials on Monday to sort out a work permit for the Nigerian.

Moyesy says: “There is an appeal on the work permit set for Monday. He was in today for a medical. As far as I am concerned, that deal is done bar the work permit." (30/08/08)

Moyesy has confirmed that Obi is on his way.

Moyesy says: "We are hoping to tie up Obinna from Inter Milan on loan for a season. He can play wide on both sides, he's got good pace and has played up front at times. We watched him at the Olympics and we can have a look at him." (29/08/08)

Apparently Obi does not meet the standard requirements for a work permit to be given by the UK authorities, so a special hearing will have to be convened. Everton officials have raided his old flat in Verona, as they've heard he has an Italian passport, but can't find it. Only Everton. (28/08/08)

Everton are on the verge of signing Big Vic's Nigerian Olympic team mate Victor Obinna. Obi (to his mates) has just signed for Inter Milan on a 3 year deal from Chievo Verona, but may be allowed to go to Everton on a year long loan. At the Olympics Obi scored three goals on the way to a silver medal. The 21 year old is keen on celebrating his goals with a couple of back flips. (27/08/08)

90. Segundo Castillo

Segundo made it signing number two for Moyesy this week after he put pen to paper this evening at Finch Farm. The Ecuadorian Internationals work permit was granted, and we shall now wait and see if Moyesy adds him to his wafer thin squad for the visit of Pompey on Saturday. (28/08/08)

Everton are to sign Ecuador international Segundo subject to a medical and to a work permit. The 26 year old midfielder plays for Red Star Belgrade. He has played 33 times for Ecuador. Apparently its a one year loan deal with a view to a permanent deal next summer. (27/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Everton

89. Kamil Zayatte

Apparently he's signed for Hull on a years loan. (31/08/08)

Zayette wasn't part of the Young Boys squad which played in the UEFA Cup tie in Debecen last night. So he is on the move, but it could be to Newcastle.

His agent Roger Boli says: "I don’t know what is happening at Everton, actually there might be a slight problem between David Moyes and his president regarding the signing, and I’m also aware of the fact that Newcastle want him as well. I can’t tell with which club he is going to sign for the moment, but I may tomorrow.” (29/08/08)

Kamil a 23 year old Guinea International is on the brink of joining Everton according to his agent. He has 10 international caps. The defender has visited Finch farm and was impressed. This is news to Young Boys Of Berne's manager Vladimir Petkovic, who expects Kamil to play in the Uefa Cup second leg tie against Debrecen in Hungary today.

Petkovic says: "Kamil will quite normally travel to Debrecen."

Boli says: “He is going to sign with Everton. I can tell you the deal is a permanent one; we are not speaking about a loan. He visited the club’s facilities and was impressed.” (27/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Hull City on Loan

88. Jonathan de Guzmán

News is that Arsenal are looking to sign Jon for £12m. Strange that when Arsene Wenger said in a TV interview that they don't expect to sign any more players before the transfer deadline. (28/08/08)

Feyenoord are looking favourably on granting Jon a transfer to Everton.

Jon says: “I am certainly open to possible interest from that corner and from what I have heard lately, Feyenoord are happy to hear from them as well.” (27/08/08)

Jon (to his mates) has just got home from playing for the Netherlands in the Olympics. He plays midfield for Feyenoord. The 20 year old has scored 18 goals from 83 games. (26/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

87. Lars Jacobsen

One down six to go as the Blues finally captured their first signing of Summer 2008. Lars Jacobsen has come in on a free, on a one year deal from Everton's UEFA opponents of last season FC Nuremberg. The 28yr old defender never made the mark at the Germans but made his name at Odense, FC Copehagen and SV Hamburg. Not bad after eighty seven fishes but Lars still crept under our radar, though we did tip him last season. Lets now see Sean Wright, Mouthino, Rierra and co.

Were gonna win the league, were gonna win the league.......

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Everton

86. Thiago Motta

The Brazilian international is available after his club Atlético Madrid have said he is surplus to requirements. He was a top player with Barcelona for a few seasons, but has had bad injuries to his knee and only played 6 games last season. If he can stay fit he may be a decent addition. Pompey are thought to be in the hunt as well. (24/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

85. Shaun Wright-Phillips

Man City have won the battle to sign SWP.

Wright-Phillips says: "Obviously I’m delighted to come back to City and I just can’t wait to get started again.” (28/08/08)

Ahhh well for a day or two it got exciting, as we were led to believe SWP was Goodison bound. In fairness to the ex England International he would rather sit in Chelski's reserves amassing his fortune than playing week in week out for the Real Blues at home and in Europe.

In a further twist to the plot, SWP 'arl man Ian Wright, has been fuming on Talk Sport over Mr. Lindsay SWP's supposed agent. The said Mr. Wright (Everton's nemesis of old) has said that SWP is in talks at this very moment with a Premier League club, but for obvious reasons he could not say who. He had a right pop at Mr. Lindsay, saying that if he walked in the room now he would give him a knuckle butty, and make a stand for every football fan as we love football agents so so much. Well then who knows, is it City, Pompey or us The Blues, watch this space as I tire of saying !!

Agent Wayne Lindsay says: "He doesn't want to join either of them and we are now discussing the next move to see what we do. Because of all the problems there [City] and the uncertainty surrounding the place he is unsure.

He is speaking with the manager at the moment but he is settled in London. He would like to stay and that's the bottom line but it is up to the manager. We are looking at all the options really at this moment in time so I can't really say much more." (27/08/08)

Reports are coming in that Chelsea have told Shaun that he can leave. He can choose between Everton who want a loan deal and Man City who will bid hard cash. (26/08/08)

Claims in London that Everton have signed the England International. If it's true happy days, but no conformation from either Chelsea or Everton. Although he never played today for Chelsea against Wigan he looked happy enough sitting with the Chelsea players on the bench. (24/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Man City

84. Emad Metab

Touted as one of the best Egyptian strikers of all time. He was on the verge of a move to Bristol City, but it broke down at the last minute. Thought to be available for £1.8m, Emad knows were the onion bag is having scored 89 goals in 172 appearances for Al-Ahly in Egypt. He has 22 goals in 47 appearances for the Egyptian national team. (24/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

83. Albert Riera

Looks like Riera has got his wish as reports say the dark side have agreed a fee with Espanyol. (26/08/08)

As already mentioned, Albie's agent thinks the player will prefer the redshite, but they have less money to spend than us. If that's possible so you never know.

Andiarena Angel Castell says: "Both of them have put in an offer and although he would prefer to go to Liverpool, Everton have put in a better bid so you cannot tell yet where he will go. Everton said they are looking for a good player in his position and he is one of the best in Europe at attacking. Reira is desperate to leave Espanyol — absolutely desperate. He wants to play in the Premier League and to play against bigger clubs." (24/08/08)

According to sources in Spain, Everton have offered €11m for the Spanish winger in a bid to snatch him from under the noses of the team from across the park, who are thought to be ready to up their bid. The 26 year old left winger Albie (to his mates) had a 15 game loan spell at Man City in 2006. He has 5 Spanish caps. (23/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For the shite

82. Gökhan Inler

The Turkish born midfielder is currently with Udinese. He played in all 3 games for Switzerland in the recent Euro 08 championships. Apparently he is keen on the idea of joining the Premiership. (23/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

81. Jimmy Bullard

The Fulham midfielder has come out and said he wants to stay with Fulham.

Bullard says: "I love Fulham Football Club and I want to stay here and play for Fulham." (27/08/08)

Ex Blues target Jimmy Bullard is now back on Moyesy's radar and a fee of around £3m is being touted for the midfield joker. Jimmy left the Pie Eaters to go darn sarf back in 2006 to seek out London's bright lights. Injury though blighted his early days at Fulham but Jimmy came back strong at the end of last season to keep Al Fayed's boys in the Premiership.

Contract wrangles we are led to believe may lead to Jimmy's departure from Fulham, but Bluekipper have it on good authority that the fishing in the Leeds Liverpool Canal is the main reason the boy wants to move back north. Apparently a seven and a half pound trout was caught their recently, yer know one of those Mersey Trout's, and Bullard a keen fishing person is keen to land one!!.

Blue Kipper says:

80. Freddie Ljungberg

Another rumour about Freddie joining Everton. A top player with Arsenal and Sweden a few years ago, but has recently had his contract terminated by mutual consent with West Ham after an unsucceseful time there. He is famously photographed in his Calvin Kleins and should sick to that now. Has recently retired from International football. (18/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

79. Tiago Mendes

Tiago looks like he is on his way to Monaco, unless he decides he doesn't want to.

Juve sporting director Alessio Secco says: "We are in talks with Monaco. We are on the same wavelength, a loan with the option of buying. Tiago must now decide." (28/08/08)

After been told by a good source (the bird who owns the chippy in Goodison Road) that Tiago would be the first new face at Goodison this season, it now seems that the Portuguese International does not fancy the next twelve months on Merseyside. After failing to make the grade at Juve, Tiago has to move on. The Blues have done all the legal stuff with Juventus, then it was just down to Tiago to give the nod. It now seems he is holding out for a move to Spain. Oh well if it doesn't rain it pours, now back to the drawing board Moyesy.

Tiago says: "I will not be going to Everton." (21/08/08)

Everton will sign Tiago on a years loan in time for the Portuguese international to be in the squad for West Brom. The deal could be made permanent if all parties agree after a year. (20/08/08)

The former Chelsea midfielder was thought to have agreed a loan deal with Newcastle, but the move has stalled. Everton are thought to have thrown their hat in the middle and the Juve player is thought to be considering a move to link up with former Portugese team mate Nuno Valente. As it is with all these deals, it will come down to money. (14/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

78. Alan Smith

Some media outlets are saying Smith may still sign for Everton before the transfer deadline. (01/09/08)

Apparently Kevin Keegan has pulled the transfer at the last minute, saying Smith could turn his game around as a Newcastle player. We don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Keegan says: “You’re only ever two or three games away from turning things around. I definitely think there’s a lot more to come from Alan. He knows that and we know that, and that’s what we’re working to do. He’s a player who wants to be successful. He’s got a lot of desire. If he didn’t have any desire, I’d say you were wasting your time. I know Alan will pull himself around.” (12/08/08)

If the papers are to be believed, smudge could be an Everton player before the season's kick-off against Blackburn for anything between £1m & £3m. (08/08/08)

The Newcastle 27 year old was once going to play in the England team (19 caps 1 goal) for ever after he scored on his debut for Leeds against the redshite. Now he couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo(is that right?) 33 games and no goals for the Geordies. A series of injuries including a year out of the game with a double leg and ankle break while at Man Utd and big discipline problems (sent off 7 times) leaves him struggling. He could be available for £1m. (05/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

77. Javi Martinez

More confusion over a reported £5m bid for Athletic Bilbao's midfielder. Spanish press have said it's been knocked back as the 19 year old has a £16m buy-out clause. Javi played against Everton in Howard Kendall's Testimonial in 2006.

A Bilbao spokesman says: "We do not wish to comment on this Everton news that has been pusblished in the press, the president is the only one who speaks about transfers, and he does not want to comment on this." (05/08/08)

Blue Kipper says:

76. Guillermo Ochoa

Moyesy already has Tim Howard, Iain Turner and John Ruddy, but reports would have us believe he is still on the look out for an experienced shot stopper with the Blues starting the season off battling on four fronts. Club America's keeper Guillermo Ochoa has apparently been approached with a view to being Tim's understudy and eventually Number 1 at Goodison. The 23yr Mexican International is being touted for around £4m.

Blue Kipper says:

75. Vagner Love

According to some reports, Everton have agreed a deal with CSKA Moscow for Vagner but he won't arrive until January when the Russian season ends and the January window opens. The deal could cost Everton £12m. (02/09/08)

CSKA director general Roman Babaev has come out to deny that a loan move has been agreed, but never went any further regarding a permanent transfer.

Babaev says: "It isn't true that we have loaned Vagner Love to Everton. There are no negotiations about that." (12/08/08)

Vagner may become an Everton player on a season long loan deal with a view to a permemant transfer for the Brazilian next season. (11/08/08)

More reports that the love machine is on his way to Everton seem wide of the mark as CSKA want £15m. (10/08/08)

Everton are thought to be looking at the Brazilian forward. It would cost around £20m - £25m to secure the Brazilian from CSKA Moscow. Gone are the days when the Russian clubs would be willing to sell because they were skint. The 24 year old has scored 44 goals in 88 games for CSKA. He has 8 goals from 20 Brazilian caps. (24/07/08)

Blue Kipper says:

74. Pascal Chimbonda

The Spurs full back maybe on the move and with Tony Hibbert still along way off fitness, Everton may join the chase. Newcastle are thought to be in the driving seat for him. (17/07/08)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Sunderland

73. Stephan Lichtsteiner

Word is that Stef looks certain to join Lazio after spaking to all interested parties.

Stef says: "I talked with the management and the coach of Lazio. The contact went very well. The club really wants me. It is now that the two clubs reach an agreement for the transfer. I hope that within three days, everything will be settled. As long as this is not actually 100%, it is difficult for me to speak. It is for this reason that I would close any door. I have already said that the Paris-SG was an interesting club with a great coach. " (17/07/08)

Since Tony Hibbert's injury and operation, Moyesy has made the finding of a new right back a priority. Stef (to his mates) Switzerland's 24 year old right back was watched by the Manager in the recent Euro Championships, and he is available from his current club Lille for around £700k as he only has one year left on his contract. Real Madrid, Lazio, Roma and PSG are all apparently sniffing around Stef, so he can't be that bad then. If we do buy him then, we will have to start a competition to see who can fit his name into a catchy ditty for the Street End to sing.

Stef says: "I have talked with Paul Le Guen (PSG's coach), and we must still talk with the coach of Lazio. For me, nothing is decided. I'm just doing my preparation for St. Moritz but I would like to sign a contract in less than a week." (14/07/08)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Lazio

72. Mehmet Topal

Galatasaray are looking for as much dosh as possible if they are to release Topol at all.

Galatasaray chairman Adnan Polat says: “Both in the league and in Europe we have big ambitions, with this in mind we are not thinking of selling anyone.” (16/07/08)

It looks like Topal is happy that the Blues have expressed an interest in him. The defensive midfielder would cost Moyesy around £3m, and if his current club Galatasaray want to sell him, the Turkish International would jump at a move to Goodison.

Topal says: "I am aware of Everton's interest, and if the club feel it would be good for them to accept an offer, I would be more than willing to make the move." (15/07/08)

So we reach number seventy two in our Summer Fishy's and still yet no movement in the Goodison board room to sign anyone up. This is the one though, I am bloody sure, Galatasaray's Mehmet Topol is reported to be on Moyesy's radar. The 22yr old defensive midfielder will fill Harry Hill's boots, and like the rest he wants a bit of the Premiership. The bad news though is that he is under contract until 2013 with the Turkish Giants, and he is due to start filming on the New Fiddler on the Roof, the film which made him a household name. Jesus with a name like that, I just could not resist, .....ok then I will get my coat. (10/07/08)

Blue Kipper says:

71. Louis Saha

Everton have signed 30 year old Louie on a 2 year deal with an option of a 3 year deal, subject to medical. This could be tricky bearing in mind the number of times he's been injured. The fee is undisclosed, which could mean anything, but likely to include a chunk of the Rooney money still owed to Everton. He hasn't played a game this season and only started six games in the Premier League last season. (10.00am) (29/08/08)

How to solve our striker problem if the Yak gets injured! Louie on loan. Now there's a thought! Moyesy may use his friendly relationship with Sir Alex the red nose. (6.35am) (29/08/08)

Manure are thought to be willing to listen to offers for the injury prone forward. Lou (to his mates) has a record of 28 goals in 86 games for them, but that is spread over 5 seasons. The French International with 18 caps is a top player on his day, but at 29 years old will Moyesy take the chance? (08/07/08)

Blue Kipper says:

Signed For Everton

70. Diego Milito

Signed For Genoa, with only minutes to spare on the transfer market. (02/09/08)

Diego has opened the door for a transfer to the Premiership, but God will decide.

Diego says: "When the club receive an offer that interests both sides, we will explore the possibility of a move. It has been agreed that if an offer arrives for the good of both sides, we will study and evaluate the possibility of moving. Today I am a Zaragoza player and I have three more years of contract. I am happy here but although the market is very slow, we must expect movements.

At the moment there are no firm proposals. I speak often with my agent and he said that the market is very complicated and we must wait. But I am not desperate. I have no problem in staying. Last year I had some important offers too. I am very grateful to this club and the fans who have given me a lot and if I have to remain here, no problem. God will decide the future." (08/08/08)

Everton have tried to get Diego to come to Goodison on loan, but Real Zaragoza want a permanent deal and cash up front. (21/07/08)

Argentina international Diego (to his mates) maybe available after his Spanish club Real Zaragoza were relegated from La Liga last season. Milito, 29 is great in the air and has a record of scoring a goal every two games. Not a bad average. He was second top scorer in Spain in 2006/2007 with 25, just two behind horse head van Nistelrooy. He has scored 4 goals in 14 Internationals. Diego would like to return to Italy where he scored 33 goals in 59 games for Genoa.

Diego says: "I'd like to return to Genoa. It would be beautiful, although I don't know if that possibility exists. I have to see what Zaragoza want, it all depends on them. For my part, I am at the club's disposal and I have to return for the first day of training next Monday. Everything else is in the hands of my agent." (07/07/08)

69. Sebastien Bassong

Seb has joined Newcastle in pre-season training on a trial basis.

Seb says: "I will start a one-week trial at the end of this week. I’m not used to doing trials, so it’s kind of weird to me, but I’ll do it with a lot of joy because it’s a superb opportunity. I haven’t spoken with Kevin Keegan yet, but my agent discussed things with him. He told him he’s been following me for a long time and he wants to have a closer look.

The first contacts were made a few weeks ago. I don’t know what my role will be, but no doubt we’ll speak about it when I’m there. My first reaction was happiness, but not euphoria because when a club are interested in you, it doesn’t mean the signing is automatic. The road is still long.I know a number of French speaking players are there, but I haven’t spoken to them yet. I will when I’m there.

I’m not sure whether the coach will let me leave or not. I don’t know what’s at the back of his mind. He could refuse. Anyway I have other options in England and in France, both in the top division. " (15/07/08)

FC Metz defender Seb (to his mates) is saying Everton have contacted him regarding a move to the Premiership. The 21 year old Frenchman has recently declined a move to Dinamo Bucharest.

Seb says: "I have approaches from Germany and in England. To me the reality is that there are more contacts abroad than in France. There is Everton in the Premier League as well as Wolfsburg and Hamburg in the Bundesliga. But it's only touches; I'm waiting to see what's going to happen in the future. I don't want to leave just to leave. I'm waiting for a real project. There's no hurry but I want to leave, to see something elsewhere, but I still have time. There's no emergency. Negotiations are just starting." (05/07/08)

Blue Kipper says:

68. Vladimir Stojkovic

Everton have confirmed they won't be signing Vlad.

Ian Ross says: "He was at the club on Wednesday but left after only one hour. He did not justify anything to anybody. He is most probably not going to join us. We have been told that he is a complicated character but this surprised us." (23/07/08)

Vlad arrives at Finch Farm today on a trial period he hopes will lead to a permanent move to Everton.

Zoran Stojadinovic, Vlad's agent says: “If Moyes gives the OK, all the details will be done.” (16/07/08)

It looks like Vlad is on his way to Goodison to replace Kepler as Tim's Deputy. The Serbian shot stopper currently at Sporting Lisbon has spoken to Moyesy direct according to reports, and after some paperwork wrangles (now there's a surprise) Vlad should be winging his way to the Blues. The deal will be a twelve month loan deal with the option to purchase Vlad if he comes up to scratch for around £2m. Apparently Vlad chose Everton as Dai Davies was one of his heroes.

Vlad's Agent Zoran says: "I can confirm that Everton have made a bid for Stojkovic. The offer is a season-long loan, with an option to purchase the player definitively at the end of this period. The transfer fee is likely to be between 2.5 an 3 million euros. At this moment we’re just waiting for the visa to be able to travel. Things should be sorted out shortly. ‘Stoi’ is really excited about the possibility of going to England. What Stojkovic wants is to play, and if he goes to Everton he will fight hard with Howard to earn a starting place."

Vlad says: "It was the Everton manager himself, David Moyes, who spoke to me." (11/07/08)

Sporting Lisbon's goalie is being lined up as a replacement for Wessels according to some reports. Vlad (to his mates) is 21 years old and has 16 caps for Serbia.

Blue Kipper says:

67. Darren Fletcher

More reports in the Sunday papers that Moyesy may go for Fletcher if the Joao Moutinho transfer falls through. (03/08/08)

Fletcher is putting all talk of moving on hold and just concentrating on playing.

Dazza says: "You just learn to deal with that as your time progresses here. The most important thing is you're focused on Manchester United. Unless someone tells you otherwise, that's what you do. To play in more matches than last season, that's obviously the target each season. You do your bit, you're patient and you've got to wait for your chance. I'll be ready to take my chance when it comes and I'll hopeful play a few more matches." (12/07/08)

Having just won the Champions league and Premiership double with manure you would have thought that the Scotland international would be content, but reports say he wants first team football and even if Ronaldo goes to Madrid, he thinks they'll bring someone else in. So with his medals in his pocket he'll look for a club, who he can play every week for. (04/07/08)

Blue Kipper says:

66. Marco Aurélio Brito dos Prazeres

Betis have now agreed to to pay the fee up front and in full so it looks like Mehmet will get his wish to play in Spain, although things haven't yet been finalised. But according to Wiki he's already signed for Newcastle. (04/07/08)

Real Betis who were Mehmet's first choice seem to have the same problem Everton have, namely can't pay cash up front. Mehmet will come on a free so it's the signing on fee which is the problem. Betis want to pay in 3 installments. Apparently we can cough the lot up in one go.

Mehmet's agent , Pedro Pastor, says: "We're going to take a new course of action and will go to the Premier League." (03/07/08)

The Brazilian born midfielder is coming to Everton according to some reports. The 30 year old moved from Brazil to Turkey were he's played for a few clubs ending up at Fenerbahçe. He adopted the Turkish name of Mehmet when he became a Turkish citizen in 2006. He was part of the Turkish squad, which did well in Euro 08. (03/07/08)

65. Pablo César Aimar

Benfica are confident that they will get Argentine International.

Benfica coach Flores says: “Aimar wants to play at the highest level, he knows Benfica’s history, is aware of the coaching staff’s interest and understands it’s doable. It’s everybody’s dream and I hope the transfer will be concrete in the next few days.” (10/07/08)

His agent is hoping for a move to the Premiership, although Pabs (to his mates) has offers from Benfica and Newcastle. Has been a top player over the years. First with River plate in his native Argentina. Then onto Valencia were he won the UEFA Cup. He has been with Real Zaragosa for the past 2 seasons. A tricky midfielder/winger he is nicknamed El payaso ("The clown") for his nutmeg speciality. At 28 he still has a few years left in him. 8 goals in 51 Internationals for Argentina.

Aimar's agent, Gustavo Mascardi says: "I know that there are offers from Panathinaikos and Benfica exist, although we still expect a call from an English team." (30/06/08)

64. Marek Suchy

Apparently Suchy is waiting for either Everton or Rangers to sort out other transfers and then his may happen.

Suchy says: "What I know from my agent is the negotiations are still going on. The clubs which want me are waiting to see how other possible transfers will turn out and that is why I focus fully on Slavia at the moment. When something comes up, I will start making decisions." (12/07/08)

The 20 year old is keen on a move and Everton and Rangers are keeping an eye on the situation. Zorro (to his mates) plays centre back or central midfield. At 6'1" he has been a rock for his only Chech club, Slavia Praha. The fictional character says talks have taken place.

Suchy says: “Yes, it is true that these two clubs are interested in me. My agent Pavel Vandas told me. I cannot say. A lot depends on the first feeling from negotiations or on how much the coaches will want me in their team. At the moment there have been some opening negotiations going on.” (29/06/08)

63. Joseph Mattock

Everton are one of a host of clubs looking at the Leicester teenager. Joey (to his mates) has played for England U19's and U21's. The 18 year old is a left back, but can play left midfield. What is it with Everton and left backs? Leicester will be looking to get £2m. (27/06/08)

62. Steve Round

Steve has signed for Everton (05/07/08)

Apparently Steve was at Finch Farm yesterday to meet his new colluegues as pre-season training got under way. Everton are hopeful that the deal will be struck soon. (04/07/08)

Although Roundy has agreed to come to Join Everton, there is still that old chestnut, 'compo' to sort out with the Geordies.

Steve's agent, Colin Oliver of Key Sports Management, says: "It’s quite flattering for Steve to be approached by a manager of the calibre of David Moyes and be offered the assistant manager’s job at a club the size of Everton. Steve’s obviously at a big club already but this is a good opportunity for him.

Steve is not out of contract. His deal at Newcastle is a roll-over one from year to year. The clubs have been talking though and we hope they can come to a compromise. I’m quite sure that things will get sorted." (02/07/08)

Although there maybe no new faces to join the squad when they report back to Finch Farm this Thursday, Moyesy is keen to see that the deal to capture Ste is in place, so he can join the back room staff to welcome the players back. (29/06/08)

Our mole has got it on good authority that Ste (to his mates) will be joining Everton as number 2 to David Moyes. Roundy was assistant manager to Steve McClaren at Middlesborough and also part of the England coaching staff during McClaren's umbrella reign. He got his UEFA Pro Licence in 2004.(26/06/08)

61. Aaron Lennon

More rumours in the Sunday papers that Everton were ready to table a £10m bid. (07/07/08)

The fastest winger in the Premiership, Spurs England international is rumoured to be available, Everton and Villa are sniffing around. Some say, Speedy (to his mates) can't control his speed due to his eyebrows being too big. Some say he disappears up his own arse. Some say given a run in the England team, Steve McLaren would still be England boss. Played over 80 games for Spurs scoring 7 goals. He has 9 England caps. He has a contract with Spurs until 2012. (26/06/08)
